THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF HIS SERENE HIGHNESS

I, Remus Ashford de Bar, being of sound mind, willfully and voluntarily make the following declaration pertaining to the distribution of my worldly assets - both tangible and not - to be carried out by the Crown in the event of my demise.

To my country,

the Principality of Savoy, to whom I owe my honour and life, I return the County of Niseep and the Aurum Province in its entirety, that the countless secrets buried beneath it I was shown but a portion of may be uncovered by the faithful for generations to come. The affiliated titles and privileges defined in the Princely Letters for the County of Niseep and the Aurum Province Act I respectively renounce as agreed with the ancestral Dukedom of Drusco's restoration. 

To the Mother Church 

to whom I owe my success and soul, I bestow the following:

I. Gereon's Hold - the modest castle built in my youth on a quest to please the Lord in the settlement of the southern desert, then called 'Niseep'.

II. 'Archangel Michael the Courageous' - A marble statue of the Archangel Michael initially built in the courtyard of Gereon's Hold, though afterward transported to the gates of Drusco where it presently stands, to be moved again at His Holiness' discretion. 

III. My cane. A simple staff of desert willow wood, that guided me in my youth as a boy born blind until struck with gifted with sight by the lord God himself. May it guide you as it guided me to through the trials of the Archangel, and many visions of our peoples' past. 

To my dutiful wife,

Princess Renata of Savoy, to whom I owe my throne and my heart, I return my Princely Crown along with any claim to it, that this document shall reaffirm only the Princess-Regnant and her respective heirs may style themselves as Princes or Princesses of Savoy.

Additionally, I bestow a mural of my own design - that it might be hung in whatever lodgings you take before we are reunited in the seven. May it reassure you that I forgive your decision to give away the Savoyard Angry-Bird Tabard.

To my brother-in-law,

Ser Lucien Ashford de Savoie; 'Gereon's Flame', to whom I owe my sword and fraternity, I leave my cloak. A reminder that the sun shall always smile upon you, that you may know comfort in its warmth and guidance in its light to triumph all despair and darkness both behind and ahead.

To my son,

Lucien Ashford de Bar, through whom my legacy and that of King Guy shall live on, I bestow all other worldly assets. Such includes (though is not limited to):

I. The Fortress of Myrine and the surrounding lands known as Drusco. 

II. The serfdom and land-bound folk of Drusco. 

III. My personal wealth, both in material assets and the liquid sum of 6,000 minae. 

IV. The Duchy of Drusco, on the explicit condition that this mantle is never degraded to 'titular nobility' but forever bound to a lord who stewards over a land and people worthy of such. That is to say, my son, you will be no Duke without a Dukedom. Your inheritance of this fourth gift is conditional to your maintenance of the first and second, or the acquisition of a substitute land and people befitting our ancestral nomenclature.

THE VIRGIN LANDS SCHEME;
THE DRUSCO SETTLEMENT EDICT, 1869

The Aurum Sea has withdrawn. The great golden dustbowl once dividing the Duchy of Drusco and County of Niseep is no more, renewed by GOD's grace as a vast grassland not quite unlike that of Drusco beside Felsen in the days of yore. My dukedom has been made arable, to some degree. A blessing I shall not foresake, in the wake of thousands recently displaced by the northerly conflicts. 

THEREFORE the Duchy of Drusco does humbly offer the limited chance of settlement to any:

• Vintners
• Ranchers
• Shepherds
• Tillers 

And other assorted folk of the land the opportunity to settle this emerald valley, permitting to each worthy claimant a grant of land to maintain as private property in exchange for a contract of serfdom. 

This burgeoning peasantry will be exempt from any tax of mina upon them, instead expected to contribute to the Ducal Estate a regular tithe befitting their station; wine from Vinters, leather and beef from Ranchers and so on. 

Settlers are to make way for Fort Myrine - Drusco's capital - within the Principality of Savoy, to make their case before the Duke or his delegates as soon as possible.
