Charity Dinner

The Wittenbach Family invites for a Charity Dinner to gather donations in minas, medical equipment and medical books for the clinic of vallagne.

The clinic of Vallagne. The Charity Dinner itself will consist of a more casual social get together opening first with drinks in the entrance hall and living room of the castle followed by a 3 course dinner in the dinning hall. In Addition guests will be entertained with music, dancing and for those interested in match of fencing in the gardens or entrance hall of the keep. 

Invites are send out to all Knights and Houses of the Commonwhealth of the Petra, these include The House of the Petra, the Houses of Halcourt, House von Theonus, House Temesch, House Adiler, House Rivers and House Terrin. In Addition all Guilds and organisation notably the Nothern Geographical Society as well as residents of the Commonwhealth and not to forget all our allies and neighbours are of course also welcome to join the Charity Dinner. 

Location and time 

The Charity Dinner will take place at Witten´s End Keep in the Barony of Wittenbach. The keep is located on the north road from Petra.

History :

The Wittenbach Family has always been generous in donating from its fortunes made through trade and their various enterprises. for over a hundred years the Wittenbachs have been the main contributors to the Nothern Geographical Society, in recent decades the family has donated to the church and riverguard, helping to establish a monastery in Petra and helping the riverguards getting funds for their purchase of needed ressources. To continue its charitable ventures the family decided to formalize its work into an official Charity Foundation, financed primarily by the family but also through other contribution during hosted events such as Charity dinners, events or auctions. These Donations will then flow to various organisations or institution helping them to grow or upkeep their ventures.

Goals of the Foundation:

The Goal of the Charity Foundation is to gather funds for various charitable donations throughout the Commonwhealth of the Petra, these include :

- The Nothern Geographical Society for their expenditure needs for their scholars and explorers.

- The Riverguard helping them to buy critically needed weapons and ressources.

- The Church and more precicely the monastery in Vallagne, funding their needs, upkeep, events and expansions

- Clinics throughout the Commonwhealth, to ensure their stocked up and ready to help citizens in emergencies.

This list of organisations and institutions is just few examples to which the Wittenbach Charity Foundation will be donating to.

Foundation leadership:

Currently the Charity is presidet by Nicolas Emmanuel de Wittenbach and The president of the NGS. All three of them administer the income and donations of the Foundation. The Foundation headquarters are located in Chambery in the Commonwhealth of the Petra.

Our main function is to create and design new sets of Arms, crests, and other devices used for Heraldic functions, for individuals families, and Organisations.While helping to ensure each device is different from one another to distinguish themselves.

RESEARCH INTO FAMILY TREES AND HOUSES:

We go in depth into the history of each family, to secure that each device is passed down and transferred correctly according to common law.

PRESERVATION AND TRADITION:

The college acts as a custodian of heraldic traditions, ensuring that the rules and customs of heraldry are respected and followed. This includes maintaining records of coats of arms, preserving historical documents, and providing guidance on the proper use of heraldic symbols.

ADVISORY ROLE:

The college may provide expert advice to governments, organisations, and individuals on matters related to heraldry, including the design and use of arms, the proper protocol for displaying coats of arms, and the interpretation of heraldic symbolism.

CEREMONY AND PROTOCOL:

The college may have a role in official ceremonies and events, particularly those involving heraldic elements. This could include state occasions, royal events, and other formal gatherings where the proper use of coats of arms and related symbols is important.

EARL MARSHAL OF ARMS: head of the College and primary Advisor and overseer to all events.

LORD MARSHAL OF ARMS: Second in command of the College they act as an overseer when the Earl Marshal is unable to attend or be present.

SENIOR HERALDS: They run the main work force and act as managers to all beneath them, they are experts in the craftsmanship of Heraldic devices.

HERALDS: They are the main work force and are  creating Arms with supervision and assistance by those above them.

JUNIOR HERALDS: they are the newest in the college and act as trainees, while they learn the craft of Heraldry.

I.  Brief Introduction

The Nexus, also known as ‘The Nex’, is an Order that mainly consists of humans and residents that reside within the Commonwealth of Petra. The order’s main focus is the study of Arcane arts in regard to the Void and to further understanding of the supernatural. It was founded under the Knight and Master of the Mages, Emir d’Abbassia, alongside two others, Esther die Eriksdóttir & Briga Irongut.

The Nex is a new guild/order, however its roots are traced back to the Lex Arcana, a parental guild that is believed to be the reason for the Nex’s existence nowadays, which was founded by Hera de Rosius during the reign of the Holy Orenian Empire. 

II.  The Purpose

The purpose of the Order is to keep the human nations, mainly Petra, active and up-to-date in terms of magical knowledge and to protect from invasions, whether it is from this world or from others. The Nexus’ purpose is also to teach humans ideologies and spread knowledge regarding that which is not understood within the human nations, and it also serves as a safe haven for mages should they need the assistance of the Order.

The Nex’s purpose is also to unite mages together and to help each other in many different means such as performing rituals, co-enchantments or creating powerful artifacts together. It is also made in order to be the easiest way to teach highly-potential people new magics that will hopefully benefit themselves and, most importantly, humanity. 

III. The Mission & Vision

The mission of the Nex is to:

• Teach individuals about the Void, Arcane Arts, and other supernatural and natural things.

• Guide and to explain those confused about supernatural activities.

• Protect and serve those who are defenseless and innocent

• Maintain neutrality with the Commonwealth.

• Aid other mages within rituals and serve as the safe-haven for mages.

• Maintain equality between mages and non-mages in Petra.

The vision of the Nex is to:

• Become the main powerhouse of magic for humanity

• To prove equality of mages within the hierarchy of the nation

• Becoming the easiest, yet safest, source to teach magic within the Human nations.

• Become one of the most fundamental guilds within the Commonwealth of Petra.

IV. Becoming a member of the Nex

There are mainly two ways in becoming a part of the Nex as an official member. Either becoming a Nex Student, or becoming a Nex Mage. 

Starting with the latter, to become a Nex Mage, you must at-least have learned one voidal magic, or any other magics/feats that are not dark. You do not have to become a Petran Citizen in order to be a part of the Nex, however, not being a citizen would not promote certain active mages to the council rankings of the Nex. It is also highly recommended to have a magic/feat that is not possessed by the existing members of the Nex for a guaranteed acceptance. 

Becoming a student at the Nex is no easy task either, as the Nex students are students who proved their worth and potential to the whole order. Being a student is also a lengthy process, as the traditional way of seeking a teacher and they teach you right away is not within the Nex. Instead, people who wish to become students must go through a few trials and lessons. 

The first lesson to be taught within the Nex, will be an introduction lesson by the aspiring students, where they briefly introduce themselves into the Order, explaining a backstory, goal, and the reason why they wish to learn magic, and any specific magic they wish to learn or have.

Then after these first lessons are done, Theory lessons are given out to students to understand the void in a deeper and clearer aspect, where they understand where, why, how does the void exist and what does it do, and what are the secrets.

Afterward, practical lessons are given. Not to be confused with practical magic lessons, practical lessons are where students train and perform activities that will soon benefit them. This goes whether helping people, problem-solving, project creations, assignments, and other tasks that might be useful for them in life in general.

Finally, a final exam is given to these students to see what they have learned during all these times to see whether they are fit to become worthy students or not. The final exam is not the indicator of whether students get accepted or not, but rather all the things they have learned and the performance and character testing cumulatively.

Once students are seen to be worthy, they will speak the fealty of the Mages in-front of the Nex Mages:

“I swear by the father and everything I hold dear to always serve the good, protect the needy, and to never work with those who are treacherous and evil. I swear to remain humble and kind, no matter how much power I hold, and to NEVER use the magic for mischief and causing destruction on land. I swear to never betray the Nexus.”

Once the fealty is taken, the student may choose which available teacher they shall pick, if the teacher is fine with it. This is where a student turns into a disciple, and possibly a future, permanent member of the order.

V.  Activities to do within the Nexus’ Headquarters

There are many Activities one can do within the Headquarters of the Guild. The best activity one can do there is visiting the Public Library of the Nexus. This is where books of all kinds, from fiction to nonfiction, theory, scientific, and even informative books are there. Bardmancy and Housemagery learning books will be public to all Petran citizens to study the soul magic if they aspire to become Housemagers or Bardmancers. 

Books giving information and a basic background of supernaturality, such as anything related to the void, or anything related to deities or even spooks will be there to inform anyone reading the books about them, and they are by no means ways to corrupt people.

The Nexus members who meet every saint week will meet up in meetings where they can use their creative minds to perform any rituals for the members, from creating magical, powerful artifacts to making rituals in order to help mages to achieve new feats and power. This goes to Voidstalking, Viel Watching, Eminency to even Artificery.

All Nexus members will have a private room for themselves, in which they can freely decide whatever they want to do with it. This goes to make a little bedroom, private storage area, or even a little place like a small bar area. 

Citizens have all the right to approach a Nexus member to ask them anything. For example, asking any member about ways to join, or tips about magic or anything related to the void. To even request to become students or even requesting enchantments to be done for a fee. However, it would be very generous for the Nexus mages to help one another with enchantments for free, even though donations are very much appreciated and encouraged. 

Nexus members can approach one another for any recruitment to any activity or aid needed. Whether a private or a public issue. The Nexus is considered to be more of a brotherhood than an ordinary guild. If one of the members needs help, then it is encouraged for all members to help, if the ability is available. 

Nexus members will have access to tools and devices that are within the halls of the Headquarters. This includes an Alchemy Laboratory in which they can request potions, herbs, or even possibly lessons from any available Alchemist. The herbs will be open for every member to you, at any-time, without any cost.

A super-smelter is also available to those who are Blacksmiths or, to be more precise, Artificers in order to create marvelous things. All kinds of common metals will be supplied with the perfect amount of coal and heat to do so.

Citizens can partake in Nexus activities and games that are given by the Masters to their students on a monthly basis. Interactive lessons will be given that will not only teach students magic, but also in a fun interactive way that can be turned into challenges and games for rewards. For example, Ser Emirs students’ will partake in a ‘capture the flag’ against Lady Esther’s students, in which they attempt to use their magic skills in order to steal / protect the flag from the opposing team. This is a unique way to train students in a fun manner about real world combat and scenarios.

An Obelisk will be provided in the Arcanic Hall of any extra mana needed by the mages, in case void-stalkers are not around.

If possible, it is suggested for a mage to learn a magic or available that is not accessible to most of the available mages. This is to promote ambiguity.

A medical hall will be provided with medical potions in case a Nexus’ member needs to treat themselves or a close person. The medicines will be restocked weekly, provided with the most updated methods of treatment. Providing limbs to those who lost a body part will soon be available, and will be free to those who are in need, as long as the reason for losing it was not due to heinous crimes or immoral ways, such as attempting to attack someone who is defending themselves. 

VI. The Nexus Statutes

1. One must not utilize the gifts of the void to dispatch undue harm to others.

2. One must utilize their gifts to assist others, when able to.

3. One must not seek to create structures of spontaneity or danger, i.e. voidal tears.

4. One must not spread the arts to the unworthy.

VII. The Hierarchy and Roster

This section explains the levels of authority within the guild.

The Council:

1. Grandmaster:

The Grandmaster is the highest Authority within the guild. They are not much different from the council except that they are the final shot-caller, where decisions will be made on them, in case they are tricky or disputable between the council members.

2. Masters:

The members of the Council. The highest achievable rank. They are those who are esteemed to the point that the guild would not function as much without their aid. They have the authority to do whatever they wish, unless it is those of big decisions where it would be brought up to the Council meeting, where the decision will be placed in a voting system, unless objected by the Grandmaster.

The Associates:

Esteemed Nexan: 

The members who have shown their loyalty and dedication for a while. These are the reliable people within the guild, and they are always the first ones to get access to anything recently added into the guild. They are also the teachers who efficiently teach their students and usually show up to rituals.

Nexan: A member of the guild. No special ability except they have been recently added to it. They proved themselves initially and have a journey to work up.

Rookies: Students who have potential seen by the Council or an Esteemed Nexan. They have passed their initial trials and are on the journey to master a certain skill set.

Students: Those who have no access to any type of magic and are willing to take the route of the Arcanic arts, they have to pass a few trials and prove themselves to the Order. 

Citizen: The base rank of the Order. These people usually live or are frequently found in the Commonwealth. They have access to the facilities and libraries.
