INCIDENT REPORT: Throughout the evening, four orcs successfully infiltrated the capital city of Nueva Vida, with the goal of capturing citizens in an attempt to avenge their former leader, known as Grommash. The first person to notice their attempt to infiltrate the city was the guard known as Maximiano Raimundo, who, despite being outnumbered by the orcs, managed to ring the rally bell to call for reinforcements before being subdued and knocked unconscious by the intruders.

Moments after the bell had been rung, I, Antônio de Alencar, alongside the citizen known as Kerina Mondblume, were among the first to respond. We fought for what felt like hours against the orcs, trying to avoid their attacks while also looking for an opening. Then, when it felt like we were about to lose, a miracle happened. The soldiers Anacleta Leomonte and Mauris Maravilla, alongside the citizen Timothy Kervallen Elmwood, arrived.

However, by the time they reached us, one of the orcs had already knocked me unconscious after smashing their weapon against my head. I can only remember glimpses of what happened afterward. how they brutally attacked the young soldiers, who desperately fought for their lives, and slowly tortured Kerina Mondblume, who, after a long struggle against three of the orcs, was finally defeated, leaving only the brave halfling to protect the city and his comrades.

Once I had fully regained consciousness, I discovered that I had been taken to the clinic after being found in critical condition. They had to surgically reattach my nose, which one of the orcs had severed, as well as treat the other cuts and bruises covering my body.

As for the other victims of the orc attack, three of them had to be taken to emergency care after fighting to the brink of death and being taken to the orcs' hideout, where they were continuously tortured before finally being released. Some of them took days to recover from their injuries.

However, upon asking one of the doctors what had happened to Timothy, I discovered that his fate had been far more tragic than ours. I was taken to a secluded area of the Hyspian clinic. There, I saw a white blanket completely drenched in blood, and on top of it laid the only thing left ,his mechanical prosthetic arm. Upon conducting an autopsy of what remained of his body, the morgue concluded that he had been slowly and brutally torn apart before finally being decapitated by an axe after having to fight against the enemies that were still standing.

The atrocities of the orcs did not stop there. On the following day, the very same group of orcs who had infiltrated and attacked the Hyspian citizens kidnapped Francisca de Maravilla, an innocent child who was playing outside the city walls, and used her as a token in their negotiations.

The Cadetes Corps

The Sovereign State of Hyspia is happy to announce the creation of a division of cadetes under the Order of Francisco - non-combatant, it focuses on teaching life skills such as self-defense, teamwork, and discipline to use later in life. Children will be able to join from ages five to fourteen, learning alongside one another.

To join the Cadetes, you need only to send a letter in reply to this missive - alongside having your guardian’s permission. What you will learn during your time in the Cadetes consists of safety drills, basic self-defense, first-aid, and varying skills that will help you no matter where you end up in life.

Preparing you for the future, if a Cadete chooses to join the military officially as an adult, the training that they have undergone will set them up for success.

The Speech of the new Capitán, Don Leomonte, after being presented by the Royal Court.

“Señoras y señores, Damas y Caballeros. It is with great honor and respect that I, Leomonte, am able to appear before you, my fellow Soldados and my fellow Hyspians, as your new CAPITÁN. Senor Arvel Tou was one of the greatest of our military leaders that anyone could have ever asked for, during a time of great distress he picked up the mantle of capitán and kept his promise of keeping Hyspia safe. With the recent retirement of our treasured capitán, our military has been searching for a new fitting replacement, a commander, a leader, un Campeador! While many fitting suitors could have been rendered such a position I was chosen for this glorious accolade, with all graces I thank the Sovereigns and of course the people of Hyspia. While I hold great love for our current military, and especially that of Arvel Tou who ushered such changes, there are indeed some changes I wish to be seen around our military, to change our military for the better, a supreme fighting force that can never falter in the way of combat. However, these things WILL come in due time, for now, I call for all loyal Hyspians to join their blood to our military. HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE! VIVA XIOMARA! VIVA SER JULIAN! VIVA HYSPIA!”

Future Plans for the Military of Hyspia

Within the coming days, the military will be surveyed to determine its full capacity. After such a census, the military will receive some changes regarding recruitment, training, etiquette, and overall combat. I hope all of Hyspia will bear witness to my future expansions of the Military and its prospects.

This flower is also depicted in traditional tapestries and murals, representing the harmonious coexistence of diverse cultures within Hyspia.”

FORMACION

The sacred Cantuta, a vibrant flowering plant often adorned in social districts and community gatherings in Hyspia, symbolizes the harmonious coexistence of the many diverse cultures within our homeland. In such a cultural tapestry, we must recognize the invaluable contributions of individuals who sustain, enrich, and empower their neighbors. Thus, we form, by Royal Decree, the Order of the Cantuta. 

Merit is had in many avenues, outside even of military value. It is for this reason that the Order of the Cantuta is formed, to recognize those exceptional in their fields and accredit them for it.  This Order departs from the constraints of traditional knighthood, existing instead as a mark of distinction, granted in recognition of deeds that serve the realm with honor. Those admitted to the Civil Order of Cantuta bear no titles of "Ser" or "Dame," instead proudly introducing themselves as Civil Knights of the Realm. 

Each Civil Knight is appointed by the Sovereign of Hyspia and granted a distinctive brooch, a symbol of their commitment and honor. 

THE ORDER OF CANTUTA

The Order of Cantuta is a civil knightly order that values those outside of the traditional knighthood; here, we honor not just warriors but extraordinary thinkers, artists, and pioneers whose remarkable achievements light up our culture and society. Devoid of squires and pages, the order focuses instead on individuality and creativity. 

Once bestowed, the distinction is one held for life, unless dishonor shall befall their name. The seed for Civil Knighthood was planted during a pivotal emergency court after the passing of Sovereign-Father Luis Emilio. The recently crowned Xiomara I offered a reward to those in attendance, “The one who brings justice for my father’s murderer shall be honored with a Knighthood!”

Years have flown since, witnessing the creation of the Order of the Stallion and many changes in Hyspian knighthood. Now, as we honor both the legacy and future of our traditions, the Order of Cantuta rises, announced during a court celebration where justice was finally served.

CONCLUSION

The Civil Knights of the Order of Cantuta stand as pillars of our community, reflecting the very meaning of the Cantuta flower. A testament to unity, their roles are paramount to our lives.

The Armed Forces of Hyspia

Following many years of disrepair, the Orden de Francisco have found themselves strengthened once more as many members flock to their ranks. With this new restoration in place, it is only right that this military is reformed in order to prevent a decline which almost brought Hyspia to ruin. Her standing army must be prepared to defend against the various threats of the world, but just the same, they must be ready to uplift and inspire the Hyspian people, and fight for their futures.
 

Reformation of Ranks

Following decades of no use of most of the ranks within the order, and a notable lack of promotions to fill these ranks, the Capitán is now the highest rank of the order. One thing to clarify is that each rank will not be losing the responsibilities of their  previous status. The Capitán is still expected to man the gate when needed or be prepared to patrol, just as any other rank is. With this being stated, the ranks have been reformed as follows:

Capitán

Now marking the highest rank of the order, the Capitán is charged with ensuring the proper maintenance of the order, with all military decisions ultimately falling into their hands. This does not excuse them from the duties of the other ranks, but rather, places them as the final authority regarding military matters. The Capitán is additionally charged in maintaining a position among the Hyspian High Council, and should be included amongst discussions of diplomatic matters when war is involved.

Sargento

The Sargento is selected by the Capitán to lead in their stead, entrusted with the responsibility of making sure the rest of the order are well trained. They are the established successor should something happen to the Capitán, though this must be approved by the ruling Monarch. 

Cabo

A Cabo serves as an officer rank in the middle, performing general command duties, such as leading patrols and groups into battle. They are the first rank that is entrusted with the ability to swear in those who wish to join the order. They are also entrusted with overviewing the training of the other Soldado.

Gaucho

The Gaucho are those of the order who are expected to expand both their martial capabilities and patrolling ranges beyond just the common Soldado. They are expected to have at least one style of combat they excel in, and to be ready to patrol not just Hyspia’s capital province, but her other territories as well. This is also the rank to which access to the prison is granted.

Soldado

The Soldado is a new and fresh member to join the order. They are expected to learn from other Soldado as well as those above them in their efforts to protect Hyspia. They are expected to learn how to man the gates, and are expected to at least patrol the city and the outskirts of Hyspia’s capital province. They are to follow the directives of those above them, and are expected to wear uniform when on duty.
 

The Order of The Aurum Smiths.

In order to ensure that Hyspia’s guards are never left unequipped, an order of blacksmiths is to be established to keep the forges ready, and to provide for the soldiers of the royal army. The Order will be organized under their own command structure, but are not excluded from the rest of the military hierarchy:

The Master of the Aurum Smiths 

This rank is the equivalent to the rank of the Cabo, though they are to command those of their order rather than the broader order, still following the command of the Capitán and the Sargento. Outside of their position of command, they are to share in the other duties of the other smiths, and are to make sure training and standards are upheld similar to their equivalent in the rest of the order.

Soldado Smiths

These specialized Soldado’s are prepared to arm the ranks of the Order, and are expected to be prepared to make equipment at the best quality possible. Outside of this,  they are still expected to maintain the duties of the typical Soldado, and may also achieve rank amongst the traditional command structure. 

Expectation on Equipment

While this has been a hotly contested debate amongst the ranks of the order for some time now, the ultimate conclusion is that armor must be kept in the Hyspian style. This style is allowed to be done in light or leather armors, half-plate, or full plate, but is expected to show the proper Hyspian style. While other weaponry is not uniform, all members of the order are expected to have their own prepared weapons. One exemption from this is that all members of the order are expected to maintain an aurum dagger to perform darkspawn tests at the gate.

Oath of The Orden de Francisco 

I, _________, do hereby swear my undying loyalty and service to my liege and sovereign. 

In the presence of these witnesses, I vow to uphold the chivalric code, to be ever faithful and true, to defend the realm and protect the weak. I pledge to honor the principles of bravery, justice, and mercy, and to serve with integrity and valor.

I swear to defend the Hyspian throne and people with my life, to fight for Her causes, and to carry out Her commands without question or hesitation. I shall stand as a shield against Her enemies, and wield my sword in Her name.

By the grace of DIOS and the honor of my oath, I shall uphold these vows. Let this oath be binding, and may Seven Skies strike me should I fail in my duty.

This I swear, with my heart, my soul, and my blade.

Long live the Sovereign.

An Overviews of Expectations

Some of the expected duties of the Orden de Francisco:

1. Retain your duty to the Sovereign and the people of Hyspia.
2. Be prepared to man the gates, which are to always remain closed when not attended, and be prepared to issue out Darkspawn tests.
3. Seek only the righteous course of action; perform no ill-will, even if it is the easier path.
4. Protect and serve the Peoples of Hyspia.
5. Be prepared to patrol the lands of Hyspia, in order to both aid the people when needed and to handle threats when they arise.

Gate Expectations

When manning the gates, there are 5 expected steps to go through when allowing for entry, unless specifically being informed that certain guests are allowed in past the questioning. If any of the 5 steps are refused, either turn the visitor around, or ask a higher ranking officer for clarification on how to handle things. The 5 expected steps are:

1. Ask the name of who is entering.
2. Ask the place of origin.
3. Ask their reason for visiting Hyspia.
4. Have the visitor go through a darkspawn test. This consists of a cut to the forearm with an Aurum dagger, to which salt is then pressed to the wound. Upon spotting any unusual reactions, the visitor in question is to be locked in the gate house, and reinforcements are to be called if they are needed.
5. Ask to check the individual for their weapons (Use the /invsearch command), and unless they have provided a good reason or are well known by the people of Hyspia, they are to turn in these weapons. (They only have to turn in weapons IRP.)

Patrol Expectations

The lands of Hyspia have grown to be quite expansive, and each member of the Order is expected to patrol these lands. In this regard, the regular Soldado is expected to patrol La Dorada and the rest of the capital province. Those of higher rank are expected to patrol all of the territory of Hyspia.

Activity Log

In order to receive payment, a member of the Order must fill out the activity log each Saint’s week at least once to show they are still performing active duty.
