I, Achilius I of the House of Horen, KING OF SANTEGIA, Duke of Savinia and Cascadia, Marqués of Seville and Ponzan, Count of Veldin, Castell and Moncloa, Lord of Biscay, Grand Knight of the Order of the Veldin, Sovereign of the Order of Eminence and the Order of the Golden Steed, having survived the passing of my beloved wife and Queen, Laelia Kastrovat-Horen, and bearing alone the responsibility of rearing the child born of that tragedy, as well as being charged with the noble right of guiding a Kingdom, must, in most earnest, weigh carefully my ability to perform these blessed duties entrusted to me by GOD, and the status of my position.

Thus, having both fastigously scoured the depths of being for this truth, and faithfully seeking the will of GOD, I have arrived at what I believe to be the most conscionable decision regarding the fate of both my Kingdom and kin: to abdicate the throne, surrendering the Crown of Santegia, and with it, all entitled rights and realms, to my cousin, HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Aurelius I of the House of Horen—my most accomplished, capable, and trusted heir.

Therefore, by the drafting of this Decree of Abdication, I, Achilius I Horen, reigning and rightful KING OF SANTEGIA, do hereby relinquish the Crown of Santegia and all of its territories to HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Aurelius I Horen, EMPEROR OF MAN, effective immediately.

The following claims and titles bestowed upon me, HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, Achilius I Horen, which I have held and/or acquired throughout my reign as KING OF SANTEGIA shall remain entrusted to me, so that they may be passed to my heir upon my death:

Duke of Savinia and Cascadia

Marqués of Seville and Ponzan

Count of Veldin, Castell and Moncloa

Lord of Biscay

Prince of Evereux

Grand Knight of the Order of the Veldin

Sovereign of the Order of Eminence and the Order of the Golden Steed

    AS IT IS WRITTEN, SO TOO IS IT ORDERED: Upon this day, the 23rd of Owyn’s Flame, 1682, before GOD and in witness of all who have signed this document, this decree has come to pass.

His Majesty, Achilius Horen - de Savin y Esfandiyar , King of Santegia,  Prince of Evreux, Duke of Savinia, Marqués of Seville and Ponzan, Count of Veldin, Castell and Moncloa, Lord of Biscay, Grand Knight of the Order of the Veldin, Sovereign of the Order of Eminence and the Order of the Golden Steed.

The House van Rothchild is hereby stripped of its nobility within the Kingdom of Santegia. Any members of the house living within the Kingdom shall be recognized as common citizens.

House van Rothchild is also stripped of all its lands, and all of their titles shall be dissolved. The following lands & titles include:
 

• Countess of Estrela
• Baroness of Highgarden
• Baroness of Mehran
• Membership to the Order of Eminence
• Any and all titles & lands under the domain of the Kingdom of Santegia not mentioned above.

The traitor, Georgiana Alexandra van Rothchild, and the rest of House van Rothchild are now declared enemies of the Kingdom of Santegia. The crimes committed include:

• Failure to support / aid the Crown when called upon
• Plotting against the Crown
• Conspiring with known enemies of the Crown

To the citizens of Atlas and the Kingdom of Santegia,

Upon the abdication of beloved King, Leo de Savin, his closest nephew, Achilius de Savin-Horen y Esfandiyar, has been named as his rightful heir and chosen successor to the throne of Santegia. Henceforth, on the Deep Cold, 1657, he shall be anointed the new King of Santegia by the High Pontiff of the Cannonist Church within the halls of the Santegian Cathedral. In order to commemorate this occasion, his majesty, Achilius de Savin-Horen y Esfandiyar, invites all citizens of Santegia, its allies, and the following honored guests to attend this historic event celebrating the coronation of the new King:

In order to ensure the safety of attendees, the following rules of conduct are to be enforced throughout the event:

• Conflicts between two parties are to be taken to outside of the city to be resolved. No brawls will be tolerated within the peace of the city.

• Enemies of the crown may not enter the Kingdom, upon pain of death.

• Necromantic, soulless and mystic beings, as well as users of dark magic, will not be permitted to attend the coronation.

• Any person (or group) found to be causing a disruption, or disturbing other guests, will be asked to leave.

I, Leoiarizaltzu Salbatzaile de Savin, King of Santegia and Haria, Duke of Savinia and Cascadia, Marqués of Seville and Ponzan, Count of Veldin, Castell and Moncloa, Lord of Biscay, Grand Knight of the Order of the Veldin, Sovereign of the Order of Eminence and the Order of the Golden Steed, do hereby declare my desire to step down from the throne of Santegia, to be succeeded by my nephew, Achilius Horen de Savin, as well as to declare my desire that effect should be given to this Instrument of Abdication immediately.
 
In light of all that I have ordered, I have signed this document on the 10th of the Grand Harvest, 1656, at the Palace of Veldin, in the eyes of all those who have signed this document.

Recognises and acknowledges in full the contributions of his most loyal liegeman Jacob Bolivar, for his service to the Kingdom of Santegia-Haria and its people. As such, by the grace of God, he bestows upon him the peerage of Baron of Centinela. Accordingly, he is to enjoy the rights and privileges granted, to have and to hold the style of His Lordship, the title and honour of Baron of Centinela, unto him and his lawfully begotten male heirs of Our Kingdom of Santegia. 

Written in witness of God, by the King himself signed with his own hand, on the 4th of the Grand Harvest, 1654.

It hath been agreed upon that on the 13th of Sun's Smile, 1639, by the Majesties of each nation, that the Sultanate of Haria and the Kingdom of Santegia shall unite through the Personal Union of Soraya Kharadeen - Sultana Regnant of Haria - and Leoiarizaltzu Salbatzaile de Savin - King of Santegia.

The union of both nations shall henceforth be known as the Kingdom of Santegia-Haria, and the councils and estates of both nations shall be merged as one. The active nobility of each nation shall retain their peerage and be recognised by either entities.

May GOD give them wisdom and courage and strength. May he bless them and guide them towards a bright future for both Santegia and Haria.

It is by the will of His Majesty Leoiarizaltzu de Savin, that a Privy council be created in order to advise the crown and implement Royal Decree. The Privy Council finds itself second to only the monarch himself from whom their power is derived. Well affected individuals are chosen by the Monarch to fill these rolls in his name. Positions comprise: The Arch Chancellor, The Lord Marshal, The Lord Ambassador, The Grand Justiciar, The Grand Knight, The High Steward, The Privy Seal.  The power to purge members lies with the Crown or Regent alone.

The Arch Chancellor: The Arch Chancellor is ultimately tasked with overseeing the Privy Council. They hold the authority whist the Monarch is absent. They are able to assume the regency or appoint a regent, if the Monarch is incapable, incapacitated or under age. He must preserve the Crown and Monarchy no matter the situation. The powers and duties depicted below are reserved for the Arch-Chancellor, appointed by the Sovereign:

To hold or appoint the Regency
To oversee the running of the Kingdom in absence of the Crown
To ensure that the Privy Council is effective in its function and advice to the Monarchy
To act under the authority of the Crown

The Lord Marshal: The Lord Marshal holds command over the armed forces of the nation. It is his duty to protect the realm from all forces which pose a threat to the peace and protection of the realm. They reserve the right to lead the Kingdom’s forces into battle, second  only to the Monarch. The Lord Marshal also holds the power to dissolve any military guild which he deems to be disruptive or poses a threat. They must inspect the forces of all levies which will make up Santegia’s armed force and ensure that they are regularly drilled, to ensure that they are prepared and trained for any conflict. The powers and duties depicted below are reserved for the Lord Marshal, appointed by the Sovereign:

To ensure the defence of the Kingdom
To raise and lower levies
Dissolve and create military orders.
Advise the monarch upon the military and strategic/defensive manoeuvres or decisions.
To command the Armed Forces when in battle.

The Lord Ambassador: The Lord Ambassador serves as the chief diplomat in Santegia. It is their role to determine foreign policy alongside the monarch. It is their duty to build (or sever) relations with foreign powers. Any act of diplomacy is carried out through this role, including and not limited to declaring war, under command of the monarchy. The powers and duties below are reserved for the Lord Ambassador, appointed by the Sovereign:

Create Ambassadors to assist in their endeavors
Able to determine foreign policy with the monarch
Conduct Diplomatic missions
Organise state visits
Negotiate peacefully with foreign powers
Maintain the rights of citizens whilst abroad
Ultimately delivers declarations to other nations from Santegia

Grand Justiciar: The Grand Justiciar is the chief justice in the realm. It is their role to ensure that all legislation and law signed by both Crown and Parliament is upheld. It is their prerogative to call trials and pass judgement onto individuals. It is imperative that the Grand Justiciar holds fair trials. The powers and duties below are reserved for the Grand Justiciar, appointed by the Sovereign:

To Hold trials in the name of the Crown
To ensure that all law and legislation is upheld
Able to prosecute any noble if sufficient evidence is provided
Determine the punishment of any guilty party
Able to edit the law if granted permission by Crown and Parliament
Able to create fellow Justicars

Grand Knight: The Grand Knight, is the most senior of all Knights in the realm. It is by their authority, that knightly orders can be established. In turn, this member of the council must recruit members who may one day ascend to Knighthood. The Grand Knight serves as the chief guard of the monarch. They are able to appoint a squire in order to assist them in their endeavors. The powers and duties depicted below are reserved for the Grand Knight, appointed by the Sovereign:

Able to form a Knightly Order, under the Crown.
Able to recruit for said Knightly Order
To select a Squire
To ensure the safety of the Monarch.
To ensure the security of the Royal Household and Palace.
