The Adventurers of Jolly Cooperation

(AJC)

 

“From the cold clutches of the North,

To the burning bastions of the South,

All walks of life are welcome among

THE ADVENTURERS OF JOLLY COOPERATION

for after all

Adventuring together is the jolliest cooperation of all.”

 

Established on the 16th of the Amber Cold in the year 1516 by the

minor adventurer Dain Stormcrow, the group is dedicated to exploring the world and discovering adventure in all its nooks and crannies. Taking inspiration from the Ancient Order of Seekers of Athera, the Adventurers do not discriminate against gender, race, etc. We only care for one thing, your desire to adventure!

 

The Adventurers
The hierarchy is simple, and consists of a few ranks

The Wanderer

-

 

The leader of the Adventurers of Jolly Cooperation. One must keep in mind not all who wander are lost, and simply may be adventuring.

The Pactonagal Table

-

 

The active veteran adventurers of AJC, these are your mentors, your friends, and

drinking buddies. They have been adventuring for awhile and have earned their seat through a virtuous deed! A seat is not given, but earned! Oh and there can only be nine.

The Bearded Folk

-

 

Not actually all of them are bearded, but these are the inactive and retired adventurers of AJC. They are always welcome to stop by or join in on an adventure, but they hold no authority within the group.

Jolly Adventurers

-

 

A full fledged, active member of the Adventurers, they have undergone their trials of jolly adventure and have become forever inked in the Green Sashed Tome of Adventure.

Whelps

-

 

New members of the Adventurers, they haven’t undergone all their trials yet, they can still come on adventures, but they are just welp..whelps and are essentially new meat. You have to earn your place.

These are also tag-alongs to the adventurers the AJC goes on.

The Loungers of Miserable Uncooperation

Disgraced members of the group who have broken one of our many, sometimes trivial, sometimes serious, tenets. We don’t like them and tradition dictates we slap them with a fish larger than trout but smaller than a whale shark. Be creative.

You want to adventure the world do you? Ok, sign here, here, intial here, swear your first born to Dain Stormcrow here, and I’m just kidding. Joining the AJC is quite easy, finding a member of the Pactagonal Table or Dain Stormcrow himself is the best way, sending in an application of this format also works.

The Tenets and Traditions of Adventure

-

 

Tenet I - We do not harm our fellow adventurers while adventuring.

 

Tenet II - We do not harm those that cross our path without due reason, unneeded bloodshed is bad bloodshed.

 

Tenet III - We must always proclaim ourselves with a fancy, made-up title upon crossing the threshold of the AJC’s entrance. Failure to do so will result in a trout smack.

 

Tenet IV - While adventuring, your national ties mean nothing. We are neutral to all major nations and adventure for the sake of adventure, leave them at the boat.

 

Tenet V - One must always proclaim to the Sky their intent to adventure, screaming Adventure as loud of you can at the start of an adventure is a strict tradition and must be followed. Failure to do so will result in two trout smacks and a chicken hat placed upon one’s head.

 

Tenet VI - The first Whelp Trial consists of successfully beating one member of each race (Not counting members of the AJC) in the most honorable duel of Stone, Parchment, Sword.

 

Tenet VII - The second Whelp Trial consists of catching their dueling fish in the waters surrounding the AJC or near the waters of any of its affiliates. The fish must be trout-size or larger, but no larger than a whale-shark.

 

Tenet VIII - The third Whelp Trial consists of dueling their fellow whelps with said dueling fish, this will continue until all Whelps have won save for one. This Whelp will be held back and be dubbed, a Super Whelp and must wait until the next Whelp Trials occur. The Super Whelp does however carry authority of the new Whelps and may create a new trial for them which shall be added to the tenets.

 

Tenet VIIII - The fourth Whelp Trial is created by the current Super Whelp, if none exists, neither does the fourth trial. The fourth trial may consist of anything adventurey and only slightly but not really, but may induce, lethalityness.

 

Tenet X - One must abide by the Adventurer’s Code at all times, “Adventure can be found anywhere if you know how to fish.” Failure to abide by the Adventurer’s Code will result in being locked in the Room of Slightly Uncomfortable but still Relatively Comfortable Things for five human minutes. Severe failure will result in being locked in there with someone you know.

Dain nods as he sits down in a field, a map splayed out and a spot in the ocean circled in red ink. He smiles lightly as his crow swoops down and drops a rolled up piece of parchment on his lap. "Ah, someone actually is interested." He reads over the letter. "Constantine. Huh. Sounds like a right pie guy. Guess I have to go find him and tell him he's accepted." With a chuckle, he hops up and rolls up his map, walking off to find Constantine.

Dain watches Constantine at work from afar, nodding in approval at his martial skill. His crow, Balthazar swoops down with yet another application. He unrolls the application and reads it over and nods, stowing it away. "Malgher..gotta find him after this fellow. So much to do, so much to do.."

Dain nods with a smile as he exits the wood elven tavern, "Righto...now to find-" Batlhazar caws and drops another application into Dain's hands, he blinks and opens it up. "Artemis..I wonder if he is an archer..no matter! Time to find him." He claps his hands and walks on to find his new members.

Dain stares up at the sky, tracing with his mind's eye a pillar jutting out of the sea. "Some dream. Wonder what it means." He sits up hearing Balthazar's caw and the flutter of paper. He reaches over for the application and reads it over. "A dwarf? Interesting. I need to meet more dwarves anyways. This will be good."

Dain grumbles as he treks through a snowstorm in dwarven lands, he looks at his crow in exasperation as the damned things flies through harsh snow and hail and drops frost covered letter into his hand before flying off cawing like a sailor. "I...can't even." He shakes his head and rushes to take covered under a pine tree. His eyes dart over the letter and he smiles lightly, "Good to see some older fellows taking interest. I wonder what he has to bring to the table." He stows the letter away and continues on his journey.
