Modreq's

Hello Lord of the Craft, today we will be learning how to properly make a modreq!

Modreq's are an in-game method of contacting your local Moderator, whether that be for assistance regarding the lwc plugin, or simply asking a question. We as Moderation Staff get quite a few modreq's each month, and would like to show you how to properly make a modreq.

First Step:

To make a modreq you need to type a simple command "/modreq (issue)"

Your issue will have to be longer than 3 words. Try to fully describe your situation so that the moderator at hand can get a good look at what is happening.

Once you have filed this modreq, you are able to see what modreq's you have open by typing -

This will bring up a list of all your current open modreqs, and the times that they were submitted. This is a useful tool to deduce whether you still have an open modreq or not.

If you feel that you no longer need a moderator's assistance, you can simply type "/done (the number of the modreq)" In this case the number is 133.

Second Step:

Now you just have to wait for a moderator to answer your modreq. This is usually a short process, however times can vary depending on how busy the team is at that current moment in time.

However, once a moderator does answer your modreq, a similar message to this should pop up -

The moderator may then contact you about your modreq through personal messages. They will usually ask how they can be of assistance and try to help you as conveniently as possible.

Once the moderator has completed your modreq, they will close it for you.5ed0e767ad4ae1e91af0f16a36ec80cb.png

That is all there is to making a modreq! Two simple and easy steps.

Guidelines and Rules to Modreqs

Although modreqs seem to be a fairly easy system to use, the Mods do ask that you follow these rules to make sure that the process runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

  • Do not ask moderators to log-block a roleplay item such as a sign. This is to avoid meta-gaming within the community. However if you do have an area that has been griefed, a moderator will be able to work with you to sort out the issue.
  • Modreqs should not be used to ask for events. Usually moderators will be busy, and will be unable to provide events for the playerbase. This is why Story Staff exists.
  • Do not make a modreq to ask for something a VIP will be able to do. It is clearly stated within the rules that moderators will not cater to this.
  • Please do not make more than 1 modreq for 1 thing. Doing this actually slows down the process at which modreqs will be answered, and can cause back-log if it is done.
  • A moderator will not spawn items in for you, so don't ask.
  • If you see someone abusing the rules, please make a modreq to let us know - we as a team will be very thankful.
  • Do not personal message a moderator about an issue, instead make a modreq.

If you find that you have logged off, came back on and your modreq has been answered while you were offline. Don't be afraid to make another modreq, as shown above, it's a simple process and a moderator will be happy to help you out.

Also, remember! Moderators are volunteering their time to helping you, "Please" and "Thank you" can go a very long way.

Hopefully this guide has given you more knowledge on how to create a modreq.
