[Race:] Human - Highlander History ------------------ Lucinda-Rose Tallhill was found on the doorstep of Georgia and Rickon Tallhill on the 14th of Malin's Welcome, 1548. Living on a large farm outside of Redwood, the ducal seat of Istria, the family lived a comfortable life for quite a few years after taking the child in as their own. At a young age, Lucinda learned how to read and write quite quickly, and always carried a book of old fables and myths around with her, to put at ease her hunger for literature. In early 1555, after the Duke had gone missing for reasons unknown, Orcs and Brigands began raiding the Duchy, piece by piece. Coming upon the Tallhill Farm, they burned the crops and pillaged the home, taking Lucinda and her parents as slaves. On their way to The War Uzg, their caravan made a final stop to camp for the night before making the last push home. Lucinda's guard was not as smart as the others, and left her cage open after coming in to try and initiate the common breaking of a slave's soul. Her parents, with tears in their eyes, whispered for her to flee, so she pushed the cage open and fled her captors, never to see her parents again. After hopping on turnip and wheat carts to travel long distances, Lucinda found herself in Felsen, where she stayed for a day and night to get her bearings straight and decide what she needed to do. Following a group of soldiers on their march to Courland, Lucinda found herself in Iralis, yet another ducal city and seat. With the aid of Roseia Staunton, Lucinda was directed to the Iralis Orphanage, run by the Holy Church. It was here that she learned a few basic things, like math and science, and began to shift back into her old self and left that terrible past behind her. Three months after her arriving in Iralis, in 1556, a woman named Vanessa Longridge came to the Orphanage seeking a child, to fill the hole left behind by her ex-husband. Seeing Lucinda, she instantly fell in love and adopted her the same day, taking her home to live in Felsen. Personality --------------- ○ Caring, Loves Animals ○ Willful, Often seeks Adventure ○ Has a deep concern for Family ○ Fears Orcs ○ Very Intelligent, Excelled in Reading and Writing ○ Enjoys stories of Knights and Fair Maidens Scars, Ailments, Etc. -------------------- ○ A scar on her collarbone, where an Orc threatened her with a dagger during his many attempts to break her spirit. ○ She is known to suffer from Panic Attacks, often occurring when she spies an Orc somewhere in the city. ○ Often has nightmares, either about her capture or the whereabouts of her parents.
