Maeltheil: The Pallid Justicar

In aeons past God walked among us. He has been long since silenced.”

Synopsis

Maeltheil is the Aengul of Law, her very nature is similar to Xan's in the sense that she will work towards preserving it at all costs No matter the deed or alignment law must be preserved, and order must be established and maintained. There can't be room for change, change brings instability and disorder, allowing the world to be rife with terrors, mundane or atypical. An unfair law is always better when compared to redundant changes, as she'd have you believe.

Chaos’ machinations do not readily select its successors, it is an unrelenting force, omnipotent and unstoppable when it has wiggle room to eat away at the very fabric of society -- you cannot readily face such a horror unprepared. The wheel of time spins on, perhaps in the past this haughty Aengul would have been silenced or assailed by her far more rational peers, but this is truly a time of contempt. Provocative violence and wanton malice dictates the reach of chaos and it bears down against the realm, and where conflict lurks societal decay does always linger.

Depiction

Portrayed often as a whey-faced woman clad in white armor, she is known for her cruel and meticulous methods. Her symbols include nightshade and a crude mace fashioned of black steel. Like many of her kin she is very vain an willing to exact violence on others to try and preserve the law of what she considers her domain. She is very protective, but unlike many of her other kin she also suffers from a horrifically over-sized ego and god complex that makes her a very dangerous and radical deity.

She doesn't take followers in the traditional sense, again, something unlike the other gods. To make people conform to her doctrines she employs the masses with varying sequences of events all centered on greed. Merchants and nobility often work on her behalf unknowingly, manipulating and changing the laws to better fit her aims in the mortal world. She never manifests directly for fear of transgressing on the laws of heaven, but she remains a distant yet rather distinct presence. Through trying to maintain order and balance the scales she always weaves chaos, a tragic tale for an Aengul prone to fits of madness, extremism, and adversity.

Where there's violence, war, and deceit she will always be found. Through attempting to safeguard the world she has become one of its greatest enemies.

'Tis nice!

Anything else to do with her? I felt as though it didn't tell me much about them.

They don't descend or do anything directly on the mortal world. They are merely a source of blame for chaotic events or horrific deeds exacted while upholding the law.
