(An orc scrutinizing the future through flame)

Shamanism is an ancient form of magic, passed through generations of clans and kin, interacting with the beings of the Elemental, Immortal, and Ancestral Realms. Shamans have purveyed through all of orcish culture, existing as mediums between the peoples of Krugmar apnd the ethereal constructs of the Spiritual Plain. However, Lesser Spirits and Ancestrals seeking more recognition and power tug upon the mortal realm, guiding faithful Orcs towards wisdom beyond the mind.

(A goblin beaten by the world itself.)

The life of an Orc is a tireless one. Death does not loom for an Orc. Rather, it exists as a constant reminder to learn and grow stronger. Pain is not something to fear, but instead a mark of wisdom and growth. A scar or wound becomes an opportunity for knowledge. A mark upon one’s flesh grants foresight, and self-mutilation only . An ache in the spine is a sign from the spirits themselves to rise up and grow stronger. A sightless eye is a harbinger of intuition. All wounds exist as a sign or message waiting to be unraveled by the faithful.

(A shaman who sought to gain insight, and plucked his eyes free.)

The spirits recognizes this subjection to pain and the honor it brings. They grant strength and wisdom. A vision from the beyond that enlightens every Orc, from a meek goblin to the greatest of shamans. Krug’s bone and blood course through every Orc’s heart, and within it, brings forth the curse of Iblees, pushing towards violence and aggression. The strength of the Orcs has overcome their curse in self-affliction, battling the savagery within with bloodshed upon themselves. Some do not practice this art upon themselves. Instead, they grant sacrificial bone and cruor to the spirits and ancestors in another way.

(A Raguk horde thirsting to honor the ancestors and the spirits)

Anthropomancy is divination by entrails. Using the flesh and gore of the fallen, Orcs receive wisdom. In the same way that a scab or wound grants dignity and intelligence, inflicting such upon another grants the same truth, with the heightened state of bloodlust. Appeasing the spirits, bringing forth the corpses and remnants of the living forces foresight into one’s brain, burning them with the knowledge they so desire. They only need to call upon the spirit or ancestor, and often their words fall upon the Lesser Spirits who dwell within the realm, or the Ancestors who watch from above. This form of worship is an ancient one, brought on by those who honored the spirits and their ancestors in the most sacred medium.

Blood.

OOC: Essentially another form of spirit/ancestor worship, and hopefully makes the sacrificial RP more interesting. If one would like to experience one of the "visions", brought forth through this magic, then feel free to message me.

So... Killing people and using their body to gain wisdom that I am guessing THEY themselves held?

No, its wisdom granted from the spirits/ancestors after sacrificing either your own flesh and blood, or anothers. Whatever visions come from it however are somewhat muddled, and the ritual is somewhat complicated.

Well, that sounds interesting certainly. I would love to take part in this ritual, need more wisdom innit.

So basically just call an ET and make the sacrifice.

Do you need to be a Shaman to do this?

Nope, you just have to be an orc with something to sacrifice, and as people get better at it, they won't need ET interference.
