Presiding Officer Rond Trazur, Employee ID: 288-980ZX

The first reports of unusual activity were brought to my attention at approximately 2:30am. Naturally, I was not on duty, but arrived at the H. Enforcement barracks at 2:45am. All the callers spoke of similar occurrences, ranging from bizarre noises to strange animals sighted around Keynes Luxury Suites. Dispatched Enforcers did not note any unusual activity around the building, but local residents were convinced of hostile entities within the complex. Numerous residents on the upper floor were not answering communicators, and no investigating parties had returned. Initial estimates spoke of at least twenty missing persons within the building.

My training instructed me to call in heavy fliers and specialist combat warriors. However, I was obliged to honour Hephaestus Enterprises protocols. I requested all local enforcers to active duty, and sent them towards the structure. They were to establish a cordon around the building, keep any shareholders away from the structure, and block all exits. When the perimeter was secured and I had arrived, we were to perform light reconnaissance on the lower levels until a fully armed Enforcer detachment was deployed from Central Command. ETA was deemed one hour. Longer than usual, but the habi-dome H-06 precinct is one of the furthest from the main industrial hubs.

I instructed my own troops at the barracks to equip the Ares II rifles in stock, and heavy kevlar-mesh riot armour before we entered our transports. I thought it wise for the besieger to have a significant combat advantage over whatever unruly individuals were present. We were ten minutes from our destination when our radios picked up hysterical calls for reinforcements from the Enforcers setting up the cordon. There was considerable screaming, which surprised me. I assumed that the Enforcers were ambushed by the malcontents within. I instructed my men to prepare for battle. Five minutes on, and the screaming stopped. No further reports from their communicators or on back-up channels. This seemed to disturb my men, but I felt it unnecessary to chide them for their cowardice. That fear would hopefully keep them alert.

We arrived at approximately 3:10am. Twenty-six fully-armed Enforcers along with myself approached the cordon to find it unmanned. There were signs of multiple laser-discharges along the path towards the main entrance. This was accompanied by large smears of blood and unidentified bodily fluids--likely from the assailant/s. Though my Enforcers were further disturbed, I admittedly lost my composure. The missing (likely dead) troops had only light patrol weapons. They deserved to die fighting at their peak, not stunted by their equipment. Eight Enforcers were missing, along with the twenty estimated missing civilians. Twenty eight possible casualties. While securing the area, my troopers noted unusual tracks around the blood and scorch marks. My lieutenant theorised that it might be some form of xenos beast loose in the Suite, and I agreed with this assessment.

With the perimeter secured, at 3:20am I ordered the reconnaissance be performed immediately. Fifteen Enforcers were to breach the entrance and sweep the lower floors for survivors and secure the area for further advances. My lieutenant lead the attack.

All initially went as planned. I made arrangements for the larger detachment’s arrival while my lieutenant scoured the main floor. Obvious signs of violence were noted within--smashed furniture, broken glass, blood, and scattered laser burns. All quantum and local communicators were destroyed or missing. I had thought we were facing an animal, or some slaver-ring. But this seemed far too malicious to be either. Upon 3:27am, my lieutenant reported movement. This was followed by hostile contact. I ordered my lieutenant to regroup outside. It was later reported to me that he was one of the first casualties. With the commander dead, the Enforcers become disorganised. The ones furthest inside were killed immediately in what was clearly an organised ambush. On an open channel I commanded all enforcers inside to retreat back to the cordon. Four enforcers sprinted out of the doorway, followed by the creatures.

The hostiles appeared to be large arachnids. They moved extremely fast. Two managed to leap on top of a fleeing enforcer and sliced at him with kitchen utilities, while eight more charged towards our lines. Some were armed with Ares IIs from the fallen troopers, while the rest had standard Athena I laser pistols. I waited for the beasts to be entirely outside the building before commanding my men to fire. The creatures were in the open, while we were in cover behind our vehicles. Some fell immediately, but their speed made standard strategy redundant. They did not seek cover or run, but rather kept charging towards the cordon. Two of the creatures were cut down before they reached us. My men were not armed with close-combat weapons, and were struck down quickly by the beasts. I am proud to say not one fled during the battle, and died standing. A testament to their training, no doubt. The creatures were rather formidable in close quarters, but eventually they were exterminated. At the conclusion of the conflict, ten of the creatures lay at our feet, at the cost of 21 of my Enforcers.

An examination of the creatures confirmed my suspicions that they were of the “Corruptor” species referred to by the Tassareans. They were fast, brutal, immune to conventional tactics, and were arachnid in appearance. I deemed it likely the missing civilians were themselves ‘corrupted’ and changed into these monstrosities. We had exhausted their immediate numbers, but I soon realised that my men may have been captured, rather than killed. I told my remaining troops to cover the entrance, while I comm’d Central Command for further reinforcements.

Fifty more Enforcers arrived on the scene at approx. 4:00am. As the senior officer, I was given command. Concerned with the possible creation of further Corruptors, I deemed an immediate assault was necessary. Though (to my dismay) they did not bring any close-quarters weapons, I chose to perform a two-pronged assault. One team would breach the main entrance, and make their way upwards, clearing each level before continuing on. The second team would take the transports and breach the upper-floors. They would work their way downwards, and link up with the first team midway through the building.  We would entrap the creatures, divide their attentions, and defeat them in detail. I advised my men not to engage the corruptors in open spaces. Instead, they were to funnel them down hallways where they could not surround us, and utilise our firepower more effectively.

cJXcUD1.jpg

(Attached: Image taken from inside.)

Each team of twenty men (with fifteen manning the cordon) breached Keynes Luxury Suites once more at 4:30am. With ample use of fragmentation grenades and concentrated fire, we managed to destroy three more creatures who lay in another ambush. If there were any others waiting for us, they fled further upstairs. I received reports from the second team that they had also encountered the Corruptors, but had taken five losses from a surge of the creatures. Once again the beasts killed the commander first, with six corruptors dead for the effort. I ordered them to secure the perimeter, and we would make our way to them. My reasoning for this action is thus: The corruptors were attempting to concentrate their forces on one team at a time. Divide and conquer--simple tactics. Their main method of fighting seemed to involve ambushes. Stopping my men from walking into further potential ones would force the corruptors to attack either team directly or risk encirclement. Believing that they would concentrate on the weakened team first, I risked faster sweeps. We encountered no corruptors on our way upwards but as we closed in to the rendezvous zone, the attack came. The second team’s acting captain reported a large host of the creatures attempting to close in on their lines with improvised melee weapons and laser rifles. They were holding, but had two further casualties.

We arrived at the second team’s floor at 5:00am to the sound of laser-fire and bestial screeches. We immediately rushed towards the flanks of the enemy and engaged their rearguard. Now that the corruptors were surrounded, they threw themselves at us. Fighting with all manner of primal hatred and animalistic fury. Even with superior numbers on our side, they still managed to rush into close-quarters and strike at us. A long, desperate fight ensued. Sometimes they’d feign retreat and lure troopers into ambushes. Sometimes they’d charge right into us and attempt to take our weapons. I almost admired their brutal cunning and tenacity, as they fought to the very last before finally being shot into sludge and fluids--burned, smashed, and crushed at our feet.

As we secured the building and swept for further hostiles, we encountered our missing and dead enforcers locked in side-rooms. The dead were stacked in piles, perhaps to be used as food. Living enforcers showed elation at our arrival and begged to be let out of their prison. I took note of the growths some of them were exhibiting on their skin. As a precaution, I euthanized them immediately. I could not risk further infestation. My men were less enthused about the decision.

It was a glorious, though costly, victory. Of the forty enforcers who entered, only nineteen were alive. Of that nineteen, eight were wounded, and two critically wounded. In total, the corruptors numbered thirty-six, with our losses standing at fifty enforcers.

I judge my mistakes to be as follows:

-Underestimating the enemy,

-Sending in Enforcers without proper reconnaissance,
-Sending under-armed enforcers to besiege the structure,
-Not bringing close-quarters weapons,
-Losing composure over dishonourable deaths.

I will advise Central Command that new tactics are required in order to fight a corruptor incursion. Though my losses were grave, a significant victory could have been achieved had I more information. Isolating the creatures along narrow passages, flanking, and massed firepower seem to be, in my opinion, the best way to deal with them. The inclusion of close-quarters weapons would also have been a boon in multiple situations and would have saved lives.

I await further orders, and the hopes that the quarantine will be lifted soon.

All information written within this document is true, and I comply with Hephaestus Enterprises’ standard NDA.

-====Report Ends====-

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The terrible information of the corruptor incursion distracts people from the birth of CEO Steven Penrith’s son, John Penrith-Horowitz. Ms Sally Horowitz complies to a civil union with Steven, and the two are considered ‘married’ without any pomp or ceremony.

The Board enacts the “Look Sharp, Spidey!” ad campaign, wherein people are to report any unusual activity, sounds, or behaviour to the Hephaestus Enforcers. Habi-dome H-06 and everyone inside it are quarantined. Keynes Luxury Suites are purchased by the corporation, and biohazard teams are sent in to establish a laboratory inside it. All who had contact with the Corruptors are isolated in the various rooms, and observed by the biohazard team along with a contingent of heavily-armed Enforcers. The building is rechristened “Laboratory Complex A.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Actions

Keynes Luxury Suites are steadily converted into a biohazard and containment lab. The Corruptor’s corpses are frozen until dissections and study can be undertaken. All individuals who were fighting the creatures are isolated in quarantine rooms, while the whole habi-dome is sealed in case of further outbreaks. (-2AP)

As promised to the Terran Federation, materials and the appropriate labour are sent to work on their shipyard. Shareholders are instructed to distribute fliers for Hephaestus products while there. (-3AP)

Further development into xylorite energy cells deemed necessary. The Board desires the new ones to be smaller than the clunkier variants, in order to be stored more efficiently. The corruptors have shown to be dangerous foes, and the troops require considerably more ammunition to bear. (-2AP)

Having discovered the obscure planet in the Grand Ares system, the small Grgl freighter has one more mission. A scan is performed in order to discover the most obscure, unnoticeable spot on the obscure, unnoticeable planet. (-0AP)

The ad campaign “Look Sharp, Spidey!” is sent out to the viewing public, offering them sound advice in how to protect one's family. It advises shareholders to inform Hephaestus Enforcers of any unusual sounds, behaviour, or sights. It also advertises The Ares I rifle, now on sale for a low, low price at participating stores on Hades! (-0AP)

Shi Yimu felt many things as he was led through the cavernous halls of the perpetually-under-construction Capitol Palace. Interest was chief among them, for he had never before been allowed inside the building, despite distinguishing himself in service to the Jinyiwei, who more or less ran the place. Next was a mixture of honor and fear: he had been summoned unexpectedly, pulled from his latest investigation by his superior and led to the palace under armed guard. Such things did not happen for no reason. But if he were under standard disciplinary measures, he would have been taken to some facility outside of Xin Xi’an. Yimu shuddered at the thought. He knew what happened at such places.

Instead he was escorted to the east wing of the palace, before an ornate doorway, which one of his guards knocked on three times before pushing open. Yimu was forcefully pushed inside, into what appeared to be a study. Another door at the other side of the room revealed an expansive bedroom. But what truly took Yimu’s attention was the figure sitting in the center of this chamber, behind a large desk. It was dressed in all black apart from some crimson embroidery, and its face was concealed behind an unnervingly skull-like mask. To its left, a doctor was performing an inspection, listening with a stethoscope to the breathing of the masked creature.

“The man you asked for, Dao Yi,” said the man to Yimu’s right, bowing to the cloaked figure while simultaneously pushing his prisoner forward.

“Thank you, lieutenant. You may go,” replied the seated Dao, its voice unrecognizable as always through the mask’s modulators. The guards turned and left, and after another nod, the doctor did as well, closing the large door behind him with a dull thud.

Yimu suddenly realized he was alone, in the same room as possibly the most powerful person in the entirety of the Dominion. His heart racing, he did the first thing that came into his mind and bowed at the waist, as deep as he could possibly go. “Dao Yi,” he said, his voice trembling, “I am at your service.”

“Please,” said the Dao Yi, getting to its feet with clear difficulty. “No formalities are necessary, captain.” Yimu nodded and stood to his full height, while the cloaked figure leaned on the edge of its desk, sizing him up through its mask. A long silence followed before it spoke again. “I understand you have a son now. It’s been a few years of course, but you will have to pass on my congratulations to Lin all the same.”

Yimu’s eyes widened. “Excuse me sir?”

A heavily-modulated chuckle escaped the mask. “Of course. One moment.” Slowly, the Dao’s gloved hands reached to the back of its head, and undid a clasp of some kind. Within moments, the mask was dropped to the desk, and Yimu’s jaw dropped. Losing all sense of composure, he sagged into the nearest chair, staring at the old man behind the mask.

“But...you died. On the Zheng He. I was at the funeral. You were blown to bits when one of those cheap Australian refrigerators exploded.”

The Dao Yi grinned, walking over to clasp the younger man’s shoulder on creaky legs. “Yimu…” he answered, “You’ve always been brilliant. But if you get the slightest bit surprised I swear you couldn’t tell left from right. If I had announced ‘I am Shi Jiang, your new Dao Yi,’ no one would have accepted it. Mask or not, they would have seen only the man, and men are flawed. The Daos had to come from nowhere; there was no other way.”

Yimu stared down at his steepled fingers, thoughts racing through his head. He said nothing. What was there to say, after seventeen years?

“You’ve made me a very proud man, Yimu,” the Dao Yi continued, looking down on the younger officer. “The entire agency speaks highly of you. You’re the first name that comes up when discussing it seems like any operation. And you did it all on your own.”

“Why?” asked Yimu, finally looking up. “Why call me here now, after so long? Perhaps I needn’t have done it alone after all. At least you could have given me a sign. Anything.”

The Dao Yi sighed, the bags under his eyes seemingly growing darker even than before. Another long moment passed, but finally he spoke: “You were at Lantri Station. You saw what I saw.”

“I did.”

“But you did not hear what I heard.”

“I was unaware there was anything to hear.”

“Oh, but there was, Yimu. And it frightens me.” The old man took his hand off Yimu’s shoulder, and gestured to the terminal on his desk, fighting down a hacking cough. Yimu hesitated, but eventually got to his feet, and traversed the room, to read what was written there. It took a mere two minutes, but when he was done the Dao Yi was looking at him expectantly.

“You show me this now?” asked Yimu. “Why show me at all? Were I in your shoes knowing I had read this, I would make sure I never saw the light of day again.”

“You should have asked me why I am frightened, Yimu. I can no longer afford to keep this secret. The other Daos do not recognize its importance. And the doctors...they give me mere weeks to live. We can’t keep the cancer at bay for any longer.”

Yimu felt a pang of sadness, but not as much as he had years prior. He had already lost his father once. A second time was nothing compared to the pain he had felt on the voyage, but still he could feel his eyes watering.

The Dao Yi began to pace, his steps weak and irregular. “When I do die, you will hear nothing. A new Dao Yi will be selected quietly, but it will not be the same.” He looked directly at his son. “You must remember, Yimu. We try to remain faceless, without personality. But there are humans behind the masks, and humans can be influenced. Already, several of them take their own rhetoric too seriously. For that matter, the same can be said amongst the general ranks of leadership. You should hear some of the things your brother has said in general staff meetings.”

Yimu winced. He had not spoken to his older brother Cheng in over eight years. “If the Daos are like him,” he replied, “then we are lost.”

Jiang lowered himself to a sitting position on one of the several chairs in the study, taking a long look at the Jinyiwei captain. “Thankfully that is not the case, at least not yet. And there is truth to what men like your brother believe. It is true that the Wairen must be vanquished for us to take our place as masters of the stars. But there are things out there much stronger than we are, and there are many paths to victory. I fear that some of our countrymen would prefer a glorious defeat to an ignominious triumph.”  Another cough escaped his lips, and this time continued into a fit which lasted a full thirty seconds. It must have been heard outside, for knocks soon came at the door.

The Dao Yi wiped blood from his mouth, his ancient face suddenly full of urgency. “Another minute!” he called toward the door, his voice a hoarse croak, and got to his feet again. “Officially, this meeting is to inform you of your promotion to major. But you are really here because you have continually demonstrated your worthiness. I fully expect you’ll be in upper leadership by the time such things become relevant. And when that happens, you must remember what we have spoken of today. The Jinyiwei is unique in its ability to influence how the people and the Daos act and think. You must guide the might of the Dominion to where it will be useful. And where it will not...you must find another way.” Jiang picked up his helmet-mask, holding it to his side. “That kind of sense is rarer than you might think in this building.”

Yimu was silent, thoughts swirling in his mind as he considered everything he had just been told. Much needed to be done. His work would require even more skill, even greater cunning. But it shouldn’t be surprising. His work, after all, always depended on both.

“I will do everything in my power,” he finally replied. “I have always been and will always be in your service, father.” He blinked away the beginnings of tears, replacing them with what he hoped was an expression of determination.

The Dao Yi nodded, and again brought his mask to his face. When the cloaked figure next spoke, its voice was again modulated and unrecognizable.

“Then congratulations, Major Shi. The Dominion expects great things from you.”

In a fit of patriotism following recent prosperity, each and every Han of the Dominion throws himself into his work, urged forward by news of a successful test of the warp drive. The orbital shipyard quickly nears completion, but with so many more resources allocated to the fledgling navy, it’s decided that it will be expanded even beyond the original plans, so that it can support the construction of a new colonial freighter.

The accelerated schedule comes at no cost to actual naval expansion: after years of debate, the naval strategic command has approved a final design for the Dominion’s first warship.  A light, inexpensive, and highly maneuverable corvette, it will be the leading edge of the navy’s expansion into the stars. The very first one is placed into assembly even before the shipyard is in full working order.

Xin Xi’an continues to grow at a rapid pace, though its borders expand only slowly. Fueled by a near-endless amount of food, reduced government intervention, and overall optimism at the Han nation’s prospects, the population and economy boom. With surpluses in essentials like grain and housing, the Dominion is able to grant subsidies to families who choose to have more children, who are then educated in the superiority of the Han race.

The fragility of the Yuguo rice genome is curious, to say the least. All findings are noted, and the center for biological engineering moves on to other projects...

“Captain multiple unknowns just dropped out of hyperspace at the edge of the system, tracking course now. Sir they appeared to have set course straight for us the gas giant.” Captains Volkes nodded as he stood behind the leather chair of the tracking officer. He took a breath as he replied “Seems our SATO friends have finally decided to test us.” The officer turned around and looked up to the captain with a sign of worry “Sir these signatures do not match any known vessels. They are much too fast to be SATO, ETA to our position is fifteen minutes and thirty five seconds.” Captain Volkes trained his eyes on the monitor “Have they noticed us?” The officer nodded her head toward the captain who stood up from his leaning position “Comms officers warn the HCF and the Skellar. Contact all other and advise to form up formation 23-1” The Comms officer nodded as he began to work his console “Bosun!” The captain shouted “Bosun, aye aye sir.” the Bosun replied. The captain began walking down the bank of terminals “Sound General quarters!” The Bosun nodded “Aye sir!” With that he turned to the 1MC behind him keying the mic he hit the klaxon twice and sounded the long shrill of the whistle into the mic. “This is not a drill, this is not a drill, general quarters, general quarters, all hands man your battle stations. Directions as follows, up and forward along the starboard side down and aft along the port side set condition x-ray throughout the ship.” And then they were upon them….

Spoiler

President Jenkins stood in front of an eager government as he stood on the podium preparing to speak into the mic, a wave of applause resounding from his entry. Camera flashes rippled throughout the house of representatives as he placed his cue card on the podium. He took a large sip of water as the applause died down and he began to speak

“Yesterday, August 26th, 2125 - a date which will live in infamy the United States of Arcturus was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Keerim Imperium

It will be recorded that the distance of Arcturus from Keerim makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. The attack yesterday on the US fleet has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. I regret to inform you that very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American trade ships have been reported torpedoed on the trade routes within the Galaxy.

Yesterday, the Keerim also launched an attack against the Skellar system of Origae.

Last night, Keerim forces attacked the Skellar system of Klelux.

Last night, Keerim forces attacked the Skellar system of Dicta.

Last night, Keerim forces attacked the system of Kraaqic.

Last night, the Keerim attacked Boluntal.

This morning, the Keerim attacked the Skellar system of Helnata.

The Keerim Imperium has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the eastern

galactic area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.

As commander in chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.

Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us.

No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.

I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.

Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.

With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounding determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God.

I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Keerim on Tuesday, August 26th, 2125, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Keerim Imperium.”

"Grand Master, a huge empire has surfaced to our east."

"See to it, then, that we are defended."

In the Rhodius system, large amounts of funding go towards space station and land-based planetary defense railgun systems, with all military level personnel being scrambled to prepare for a possible invasion.

Secret funding, however, goes to something far more sinister. It goes into the preliminary research of weaponized Xylorite utilizing the newly found mining facility, and on the information of Xylorite's destructive power proffered by the Federation.

At the same time, the now-supplied colony ship is sent far to Malta's southwest, one sector northeast of Ganvius' closest territory to them, or minimum distance required by the Ganvius Nation.

Aegis
Prime minister Alistair and Captain Erebus would load sound alarms and begin evacuating people supplies and all so as to avoid being caught in the oncoming invaders path. Aegis was being forced to move. This was both a surprised and thought of occurrence as they knew not where others may be after they began. And so although reluctantly the People of Aegis, Aliens and all Begin to move while the Captain finds a Suitable Home.
However these things can not be rushed as to avoid complete and utter panic. Communications are sent to SATO asking for help in the Evacuation and Scouting of new systems for suitable worlds

General Activity:

The UCI’s first colony quickly flourished on Feldspar despite arriving a year later than most of their unknown counterparts. They quickly set out constructing infrastructure and preparing to level off a nearby mountainside for expansion. The citizen population that arrived grew to reach 140,000 strong and quickly expanded to envelope the planet in many settlements. In high orbit a shipyard was erected and it produced two Caldwin-class frigates in a short time. The Initiative was bustling with patriotism and optimism leading their military to grow and their government to blossom. Despite this new found sense of accomplishment they held a proper service for those to perish on Earth and then set out to stake their claim in the galaxy. They sent out the Feldsand to scan the three other planets within their solar system to see if any were suitable for colonization. Construction was laid out on the first colonial freighter that would ferry many colonist to new horizons and development of better drills and scanners for the mining and processing of resources began.

Die Volksrepublik

By utilizing a multilayered and woven metal mesh, the scientists manage to develop a camouflage against some long range sensors. What is reflected in terms of signals appears to be background noise or foliage.

The scientists elaborate over how to improve the existing design and conclude that their focus should be upon the mechanical finesse of the robots. By the end of the year, the robot has gained a very complex and capable software for its hand movements, whilst still a bit clumsy by times, it is accurate and flexible enough to allow them to draw a string through the hole of a needle. That is quite an accomplishment, given the rest of machines remains practically unchanged.

Given the lack of direction, the facilities instead spit out 200 of the hunter variant.

The Holy Kingdom of Eadn

The expansion of the shipyard goes as planned, but they are only halfway done with it at the end of the year. (3/6 AP to SL 3.)

And at last, the final frigate joins its brethren up in the sky. With ten frigates for the colony, it is a formidable force in that sense, giving the citizens below a certain sense of security from what may there be and come.

The concept of the communication device is a masterpiece, but utterly confusing and complex. The scientist struggle to understand how it operates without taking it apart completely. A reverse engineering process will precisely require such. Although this may destroy any existing capabilities of contacting others, or specifically the Karass Dominion at this point.

Silver Knight Corporation

At last the colonial freighter leaves the port, ready to set down elsewhere to be the new home for citizens of this original colony.

Designing and creating these torpedoes turns out to be remarkably easy. Given the nature of Xylorite, turning it into a capable warhead should be little of an issue and soon these torpedoes are ready. Along with a formal inquiry of the Backhatta Hive about the intensity of the warhead itself.

As soon as the freighter leaves the shipyard, the assembly of a new frigate begins, for it to just leave at the end of the year, another titanium plated machine of war in the endless sea of the stars.

The substantial investments are necessary to prepare all potential amenities for the Redon. Because the Redon himself, which is very unusual for a Redon has agreed to pay a visit. In the coming year, the capital dreadnought of the Empire accompanied by a fleet of eighty ships of various purpose will arrive at the colony.

The Solarin Federation

The Federation academy is finally finished, and soon the first year of students take their lessons in this new school. The results have to be seen later, but it should work out just fine.

Rapid progress through the advanced knowledge of the Libellan architect bring the project close to be finished. Another year, so she states, the facility will be fully operational with all necessary security measures and precautions.

Given their freedom of speech and choice, there is no unrest occuring on the colony. About the fate of these supporters, that is to be discussed with the corresponding colonies.

See for the Silver Knights.

And the Federation immediately receives a declaration of war from the three nations. A Tjieran fleet immediately occupies the colony of New Sephoria. The information quarantine that follows shrouds the happenings of the colony in darkness.

Imperial Republic of Mankind

With the right idea and the suit as the object of orientation, the design goes as planned, but is not finished yet. It will take more time and resources to get a first functional prototype up and running.

The freighter leaves the shipyard as planned, ready to assume transport duties of whatever kind required.

Whilst the vast industry surely helps, it will be hard to make this suit standard issue from the get go. With all machines in place, only five-hundred suits are finished by the end of the year. It will take a while for it to pickup, but it should be doable.

And observation is ready and ongoing. Nothing remarkable can be detected at first, except for a minor war between two of the nations on one of the continent. Their technology level is indeed very far behind and trains dominate the rapid transport, with cars barely invented it seems. Radio communication appears to be nonexistent, though one or the other landline is visible.

No yields are found yet.

Hephaestus Enterprises

After a week of isolation all individuals are cleared of any potential infection. No traces of any living corrupters are found. The corpses of the others are being frozen and the Suites are ready to assume their first research by the end of the year, thanks to the diligence of all participants.

The shipyard is halfway improved by the end of the year. (3/6 AP to SL 3.)

And the result can show itself. A single chamber xylorite battery, easy to carry in bulk, with enormous amounts of power stored within is developed successfully in the labs. It requires refined Xylorite though, and they are all out now, after the prototype stage.

And they find a valley that appears to have a natural resistance against sensors due to rich deposits of Itoron in the steep cliffsides left and right of the valley. Being mostly overgrown by jungle and dense foliage, it offers excellent cover against any potential detection.

The fact that the board actually takes precautions relieves the citizens and business soon continues as usual. Almost. Some still show a certain phobia towards foreigners and other races, but there is little unrest resulting from that. Rond Trazur on the other hand is named a hero by the people for so valiantly defeating a foe that seems invincible according to the dire news that wash in from the East.

The Han Dominion

The shipyard is completed and expanded within the same year as planned. (SL 2 now.)

The corvette leaves the port just in time to make room for the start of the colonial freighter. (1/4 AP to Colonial Freighter.)

News spread a bit around, as some people report that they hear a silent voice speaking to them whenever they glance up to the moon with the foreign structure upon it. It is calling to them it appears, gently, asking very basic things, how they fare, what they are doing right now and so forth. Later in the same year, a couple of security agents haul in a simple farmer who they have caught letting small objects fly. Witchcraft they say, unbelievably so, but it might actually be important.

Despite all this, alerts go off, as a foreign vessel is seen entering the system. After it flies about a bit, it seems to head directly for the colony. (Encounter)

United States Of Arcturus

The ships and fighters are all finished as planned.

On the other hand, the Skellar Kingdom enters the colony with a small fleet of freighters and construction ships, to begin the construction of what appears to be a space fortress in the system. In their statement, they note it should also act as a trade hub and resupply station for their fleets, given that this system has drifted out of the Keerim's focus.

No further attacks on either colony of Arcturus take place, but reports still come in of destroyed Skellar and Libellan fleets, pictures underlining it. The invasion is dire and takes a heavy toll on the unprepared nations.

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta

Platforms with big railguns are erected, bunkers and fortifications are prepared, driven by a sense of madness as if the Keerim were just an hour away, they sprout up like grass. Civilians who were actually doing other things and were off-duty or had holidays, ignored that and visited the construction sites in the hundreds, just to lift that extra bag of concrete or bolt on that steel bar.

Using Xylorite for explosive weapons is easily done. Some adjustments in warheads for missiles and torpedoes and off you go. Although this drags in a formal protest from the Protorian Council and the Trialition, stating that over weaponizing Xylorite will draw sanctions from them. The latter even stated that it would end in a full scale invasion if it was to be used for weapons of mass destruction.

The colony ship sets foot for the last time on an alien world, lush, rich and unknown. A Ganvius observer who arrived at the new colony site with a destroyer lands with a shuttle later the same year. Seeing a Ganvius for the first time, these tall tree-like beings manifest age and wisdom. He single-handedly hands the colonist a container with very big seeds. Xobalius Rainbow Fruit Tree seeds. These fruit, growing the size of melons with their fist sized seeds, shimmer in all colors of the rainbow and are tasty and rich as it indicates. Very nutritious. They only grow on planets that have enough water and sun though, a very soft and not rocky soil.

Free Human Technocracy

The light cruiser is finished as planned and soon joined by the two corvettes of the Technocracy, grouping up with the forces of the USA.

The Grand Alliance, despite the danger of the Keerim, rejects to offer training to the Technocracies' soldiers and officers.

Again, automating the targeting is something barely applicable to a human being. The most they manage to achieve is a detailed assessment of hostiles through the LAS, giving every hostile that has been detected a threat level, giving the choice of what to engage based upon this assessment still to the bearer of the system.

Aegis

Scared, but willing the preparations for movement begin. In accordance to the survey mission, they do indeed find a world that is almost identical, in a sector near the Karass Dominion and Redon Imperium. Would this be a move to make?

United Colonial Initiative

Optimizing the mining lasers is the first step, as energy is consistent and does not break down like drills do. Taking the industrial lasers from Earth, the focusing lenses are improved with an additional cooling system that allows for continous mining without overheating and endangering the focusing lenses.

With the shipyard being mostly idle otherwise, the workers are glad to get this new task assigned to them. A year later and an almost finished fresh colony ship sits inside.

At first the ships find nothing remarkable, until one detects an incredibly dense deposit of a completely foreign metal. Nowhere in the periodic table it finds its matches, and analysis tells that it's heavier and denser than steel. Pitch black it glistens on some of the cliffsides of the planetoid in orbit around the local gas giant.

“All systems online and operating normally.”

“Understood, captain. You are cleared to cast off.”

The docking pylons of Shanghai Station retracted, and slowly, like a fledgling eagle leaving its nest for the first time, the HSF Anxi lifted itself on impulse power above the orbital shipyard. In the observation chamber, those in uniform delivered raised-fist salutes, while officers nodded in satisfaction and civilian leaders applauded and cheered. All five Daos were present to observe the most important moment for the Dominion in years, and they silently watched the warship test its propulsion in a lap around the station, while camera drones circle, broadcasting the event to every television and computer on Yuguo.

MfYbyjxehtF9tjn_pMpxrSg8YlSgzXPrxhC1CRBRLmqehsvn1wanhL6Gv766aTPHE3pblWXUp0wZyxbnu7hp4tpN_aZ61vnX7yvhJQGzBdOToPCLtcbUn8407LHsvo562WCVQRFv

The result of years of debate in the upper levels of the navy, the type 081 corvette looked quite a bit like an oversized fighter, and that was exactly how she would be treated. The crew of fifty men lived in quarters so cramped that a submariner would balk at stepping aboard. Every bit of spare room, no matter how small, had been stripped away to make room for weapons or shave off weight. A strike craft beyond anything Han eyes had seen before, she was armed with a single 50mm autocannon on each wingtip, as well as two more configured to fire flak rounds closer to the main chassis. In addition, she had capacity for 35 missiles of various types, and a single 500mm ventral railgun turret to be used against ground targets and larger foes.

But the true purpose of the sleek ship was speed and maneuverability, above all else. Of the chassis’ 60 meter length, almost half was given to fusion generators, whose output was mostly put to work on the ship’s thrusters. The lightweight wings carried their own thrusters to maximize torque and grant superior rotational speed, and their angle relative to the main chassis could be changed for maneuvers in atmosphere. Even the ship’s armor had been optimized: although a full meter thick, it was constructed with a steel-aluminum alloy with a higher strength/weight ratio than pure titanium.

As the Anxi performed maneuvers around the shipyard, her captain, a man by the name of Sun Tsetung, couldn’t help but smile. Here was a ship that could run down any known craft, that could devastate fighters or strike ground targets, that could even attack larger ships provided they were distracted. And it handled like a dream. Strapped into his station on the cramped bridge, he could feel every movement of the craft as it coasted sideways through space, then whirled around at his command to fly the other way.

“Captain Sun,” came the transmission from Shanghai Station. “The next sector awaits. You may proceed with your mission at will.”

“Acknowledged,” replied the captain. Within moments, the Anxi was quickly outbound at full fusion power, about to spin up its warp drive. It was mere luck that it had not left the system when the unidentified ship was detected.

The ship’s comms were suddenly inundated with urgent messages from command, and Tsetung was forced to accept that the mission would have to wait. Wairen scum? Here?

“Arm weapons systems,” he told his crew as the nimble craft turned yet again. Then he braced himself. He did not know what was about to happen, but he did know this: that ship would never reach Yuguo.

Building Better 'Bots!

t07qUgH.jpg

The imposing, steel obelisk of the Hephaestus Administration Centre had a habit of inspiring awe into those travelling towards it. The main building was one of the first constructed from scratch. It had almost no features, aside from a neon blue, glowing "H" grafted on each of it's four sides. Everything else was grey steel and glass. Only when an observer was closer could they see the myriad of smaller buildings that sprouted up like weeds at it's base. Markets, landing pads, trade-hubs, and warehouses were all arranged chaotically around the tower. Freighters from dozens of planets came and went, delivering the wealth of kingdoms and leaving with all manner of strange Hephaestus-built utilities. A Grgl vessel brimming with microwaves passed over the top of Rond Trazur's luxury transport, and he gazed at it curiously. He had entered the bustling epicentre of the Corporation.

His destination was a landing zone just in front of the obelisk where numerous other transports were parked. Exiting first, the pilot opened the door for the hulking Redon. Rond inclined his head politely and marched briskly towards the main entrance. The driver had good PR. He'd go far with his work ethic.

Rond cursed himself for thinking such a thing automatically. The planet's incessant marketing was getting to him.

The entrance hall of the tower was enormous, and terribly quiet. Compared to the roaring of freighter-engines and buzzing transports outside, there were only the faintest whispers from gathered executives huddling in groups. No doubt plotting their next purchases and contracts. It reminded him of the royal courts back home.

Rond Trazur, unknown to his employers, was of royal blood. Unfortunately he was so far down the family tree that he'd never received any attention from his higher cousins. As the youngest in his family, the death of his mother left him bereft of inheritance or titles. Though he made attempts to build a reputation in the military, he was always overshadowed by other members of his estranged family, and often passed over for promotions. Frustrated, he chose to make a name for himself abroad--which was the point he stumbled on advertisements from the alien Hephaestus Corporation. Refusing to deal with his lineage any longer, he scrubbed his royal House from his name, and travelled to Hades as the simple veteran Rond Trazur.

His experience gave him considerable weight, as the Corporation was desperately seeking to retrain it's security forces to a more conventional standard. He and a number of Galaron expats drilled the humans hard, and he made fast friends among both the troops and officers. Though the corporation seemed somewhat slimy at times, he couldn't deny that they treated their employees fairly. That, and they paid well. At the beginning he was embarrassed to wear the odd uniforms and handle their clunky weapons. But over time he was won over by the sheer tenaciousness of their society. Each shareholder was their own. An almost obsessive individuality permeated the planet's culture and business practices. He was quite fond of the place--even the cheesy advertisements and rhetoric were strangely soothing.

His reminiscing was broken as an aid grasped his attention. She guided him towards an elevator on the farthest side of the hall towards a number of ornate-looking elevators. Today he'd be meeting with a Board Member, though he little idea why. Perhaps it was a performance evaluation? Though many on Hades considered him a hero for his part in "The Battle of Hab-06," the Board was silent about the situation. The losses he had accrued were nothing to be ignored. When an employee could not break even, then the employee was marked for termination. No exceptions.

After a long ascent, Rond arrived in a sparse waiting room. Upon seeing him, a secretary gestured the Redon towards a set of double doors. Behind which he heard loud bouts of wheezing laughter.

"... I tell you, Phil! I tell you! The fattest veins of ore you've ever seen! So this Backhatta feller says to Reggie--you know Reggie, right?"

"No, Jason."

"Well he says to Reggie 'Hey boss, what if there's gas under the deposits? How do we tell?' So Reggie says to the Backhatta feller 'don't worry about the gas down there, just worry about the gas up here!'

And he rips the loudest fart you ever heard! Everyone on the local comms could hear it! Even some of the freighters could get an earful! What a bloody riot!"

Jason Woolard. Mining Magnate. He had a talent for organising mines and scouting ore deposits, and utterly talentless at everything else. Including humour apparently. Currently he was laughing himself to tears in front of the expressionless Board member "Phil." Rond didn't recognise him. He wasn't sure he'd ever seen him on any broadcast or advertisement. His facial tattoos and surprising size were quite difficult to forget.

"We were talking about the accident, Jason." Phillip quietly placed his hands neatly in front of himself and spoke with quiet authority. "How many deaths?"

"Oh uh, about eight. Two Backhatta, Reggie, and six other blokes. Gas explosion. Bloody horrible. That's what happens when small outfits try to cut costs, I guess." Jason shrugged.

"Nine."

"Hey?"

"Never mind. I have another meeting scheduled. Drop your prices on detection equipment and compensate the families adequately. We don't need any more bad PR from this situation."

"Oh yeah yeah, sure. See you later, Phil mate!" Jason pulled himself out of his chair, and hefted his gratuitous size over to the elevator. Rond noted that he seemed almost to be a caricature of Hephaestus itself.

Standing up from his plain, steel desk, Phillip Narau, Super-accountant, gestured to to a chair in front of himself. "Please sit, Mr Trazur. Thank you for coming."

Rond sat sat himself down after a curt bow, and cleared his throat. "If this is about my performance at Hab-06, I demand that all information I outlined be brought to bear. We had no intel on the hostile warriors, nor did we know of their weapons and numbers. Were I not present, it would have turned to a slaughter, and the entirety of Hab-06 would likely need to be purged."

The sudden outburst from Rond made Phillip's left eyebrow rise slightly. "According to your report you also lost your composure before the altercation. Please restrain yourself, Mr Trazur. I want to discuss a future performance. Also involving the corruptors."

Rond's surprise was rather self-evident, but Phillip continued before he could answer.

"The Corporation is looking into more cost-effective methods of dealing with these creatures. We have research into their biology currently ongoing, however we also wish to invest in a non-organic fighting force in order to deny them new recruits. We desire both your experience in fighting them, and your ability as a commander to utilise them in combat."

They wanted to give him an army tailored to himself?

"Why me?"

Phillip stared at the Redon for a moment, and then answered, "I do not answer stupid questions, Mr Trazur.

Hephaestus was a place of opportunity. A place where even the smallest of fish could grow strong and thrive. Just a few years ago, Rond barely had an achievement to his name.

And now he was going to command an army. He wondered if his mother would be proud.

Action Points

-The engineers are given the schematics for the Terran Federation's 'Hunter' robot variants. They look at the 'bots themselves, their AI, their weapon capacity, their damage, and they all think the same thing--
How do we make these cheaper?

The engineers begin to work on stripping out unnecessary components, processing power, armour, and payload. Using the Terran designs as a base, they start adding efficient, mass-produced mechanisms and processors. The droid would not be immensely clever, but it still had reasonable combat subroutines and manoeuvrability. The design was referred to as the "Tithonus Mk. I."

3PgYVDH.jpg

Armed with a shortened version of the Ares II, the droid would screen allied soldiers from direct corruptor attacks. The weapon would be attached to the droid's arm. Small, localised explosives would be placed inside the weapon and the main processor. Without an encrypted signal from a commander these explosives would detonate should someone attempt to fiddle with them.

Accompanying this design would be a second, 'spideryer' variant named the Alastor Mk I. Much like the Tithonus Mk I, it would be designed to be cheap and produced in mass quantities. It wouldn't be terribly clever, but it would have considerably thicker armour than the Tithonus'. Armed with powerful hydraulic claws and a heavier, nose-mounted variant of the Ares II, it would be designed to both detect and maul the corruptors in melee before the monsters had a chance to close on biological soldiers.

WXLUbtn.jpg

It too would have its weapon and main processor booby-trapped in case of enemy attempts to subvert it.

Due to the intelligence downgrade, general command would be disseminated to command centres. Swathes of droids would be put under the indirect control of Hephaestus employees. Directed by an overall commander, this would hopefully make up for the intelligence gap between Hephaestus and Terran robots.

U5mOxP3.jpg

These machines are designed to be easily manufactured, and ultimately disposable. Their role on the battlefield is simple--screen biological soldiers from corruptors, and deny the enemy potential recruits.

Though the engineers are working off Terran designs, they are unsure how long the project will take. Even so, they begin their work.

(If you need further explanation Czar, please ask! Wasn't sure how much detail was necessary)
(-3AP)

-Laboratory Complex A now bustles with scientists clad in environmentally-sealed suits, computers, and a myriad of dissection tables. A heavy contingent of Hephaestus Enforcers guards the premises with their guns carefully aimed at any dead corruptor beneath the knife, and the scientists themselves (Can never be too careful). The researchers are checked regularly for mutation and are quarantined often. The purpose of the dissections are to learn all that can be learned about corruptor biology--namely the mutation process. After which, they would work towards finding ways to immunise people against it.
(-2AP)

With frustrated grumbles, Hephaestus sends the Ares II schematics with their new xylorite energy cells to the Terran Federation. Along with that, the jump-drive--long sitting in some scientist's garage--is sent with the schematics. All for the promise of xylorite deliveries over the next ten years.
(-0 AP)

When the little grgl freighter returns, the entire crew is forced to sign very strict non-disclosure agreements about what they saw and found. When their discretion is guaranteed, all information about the small, obscure planet is scrubbed from the ship's archives. The only copies are taken to the Board. From this point on, the system is declared fully explored, with no planets in the area deemed worthy of attention other than Grand Ares.

(-0AP)

Information on the corruptors is requested from the Tassarean Republic. Corporate reps explain that it's for the purpose of building combat droids for use against the abominations. Information on behaviour and tactics would be especially appreciated.
(-0AP)

There were now two, bright lights in the sky over Artemis, the first, a massive hulking orbital shipyard, and the second. A formidable fortress of Skellar design as more and more humans began to board the fortress alongside their skellar friends the great fortress came to life, with multiple weapon systems of extravagant design, docks for a massive fleet and numerous other amenities, it resembled a small moon almost. No one could question the power and might of this fully operational, battle station, now only if it could move.

Los Angeles class cruiser Light Cruiser

Designed as the first Light Cruiser for the Free Human Technocracy, and reclassified by the USA The Epsilon Class is a feat of engineering in of itself. With a crew of 1000 as well as a complement of 200 United States Marines the Los Angeles class was designed to deal with the growing threats emerging in the galaxy, The ship is powered by 10 cold fusion reactors and the hull is made of Itoron alloy. Included in the ship is the Logic Assistance System much like all HCF warships this system allows the crewmembers to interface with the ship and each other with the heads up display. The Ship also features a small hanger consisting of several shuttlecraft and 4 F-92C’s. The ship features two separate point defense systems each covering 360 degrees of the ship on their own with one being of Laser and one being of m136 25mm cannon rounds. The ship also features multiple dual railgun turrets and six 120mm cannons mounted on the sides of the ship. Mounted horizontally along the side are the missile batteries carrying 200 missiles of various type on each side of the ship.

Imperial Republic of Mankind

40k_imperial_aquila__transparent__by_fug

Location: Novam Domum, military base, parade grounds

The emperor watched from a observation posts as 500 men presented themselves in front of him.

These men were no different than any other soldier yet they were different that they were the first to wear the Mark I power armor.

The emperor nodded in approval as he saw it move, it had taken much time and effort but the suits were finally finished and it is the finest infantry protection in the human colonies.

With thick Itoron armor of which conventional bullets would just fly off without having any effect on it at all beyond a few scrapes.

With this he could easily go toe to toe with any other human nation yet he was still annoyed as he tapped his fingers against the ledge that he was still not ready to attack the moon base yet.

The armor could stop a few hits from the grey abominations and they were supported by the now outdated version of the LAS but no matter how much power was in the suit or how strong its armor was it still wasn't enough to defeat the grey abominations on his moon.

Yet very soon if enough effort was put into it he could finally start the operation and destroy all those abominations.

Still though he was pleased with the suits they were rather good and could in the future possibly come close to the galactic standard since for now it was just not advanced enough.

Alexander sighed, he saw the conflict brewing in the stars with war raging across the eastern galaxy with the new Keerim invaders who had just recently attacked his ally the United States of Arcturus.

Furthermore he was disturbed the the Tripatire's attack on the Solarin federation.

Though they might definitely not be allies they were still humans and even if they were rivals they were still some of the only humans left with less than 5 million total humans being left in the universe.

Alexander worried about what might happen in the future and how much the Imperial Republic was at a threat itself.

Alexander himself worried about something he personally found even more terrifying than either the Keerim or the Ystor though it came close to his fear of the Galactic Ystor.

The emptiness to the north-west of the IRM.

It could prove a great source of opportunity and expansion yet it could also hold other empires like the Keerim which would prove a larger threat to himself.

He also feared that once he cleared the moon base that the abominations were not only in there but that they might also be in the west or on another planet.

They had to have come from somewhere and whilst the grey abominations had definitely been modified by an advanced race it was not sure if they were created by an advanced race or if this was simply a modification and that other abominations roamed the galaxy.

This disturbed Alexander even more that even if he defeated any threats to the Imperial Republic that they might still come back or still exist and be ready to strike out when the IRM was at its weakest.

Because of this reason he would keep investing into the military for now so that the could defend from the grey abominations or any other threats but he knew that soon after the direct threats had been removed that  he would need to let the Imperial Republic expand again and increase its population.

Alexander didn't want the IRM to fight any human nations in the near future he didn't want to become the dominant human colony.

Inter human politics in the end didn't matter, he needed to assure the survival of the species in the new existence they had been thrusted upon when earth was destroyed.

Even now the IRM only held around 200.000 souls which even back on earth could be considered the population of a very small state but here in the galaxy only counted as the population of a colony on the outskirts with no real importance.

He needed to increase the population level as quickly as possible and continuously but he did not know how he could increase the population quick enough to compare to even some of the smallest alien races in the galaxy.

Yet he knew that humanity would always try to survive no matter the circumstances and that even if he failed humanity wouldn't

The Solarin Federation

Year 2126 Terra, Sol Colony, Sol’s Rebirth System

“There is nothing to fear---Error---” Unknown Error

Emergency Protocols Active… Commence Contingency, ARSENAL OF DIPLOMACY

3 Days, 6 Hours, 24 Minutes, 45 seconds

Since the Tijeran Invasion of New Sephoria

A crowd gathers in the main hall of the Government building for the Federation, Officials of SATO Nations and allies alike all take seats as many speak amongst themselves before the announcer speaks.

“Attention, Ladies and Gentlemen! This emergency session is called to order..Admiral Cole you have the floor.”

An older Earth-born man stands before the session, cameras fill the room as the broadcast is public locally and on Galactic News.

For nearly 20 years. Mankind has endured on worlds not their own, in a Galaxy so alien yet it is our home. We’ve faced many threats to our species, disease, Tyrant Empires, and political discord. But instead I stand before you to tell you we are at war! Tijeran Forces made a surprised declaration of war against us and immediately invaded New Sephoria..A member of SATO and one of the most Peaceful worlds in Humanity.

He grips the podium glaring into the cameras “We cannot..allow this tragedy go unpunished we cannot give the Trialition any more ground to take from Humanity. If we are to defend our Species we must Attack!” he slams his fist on the podium “And we have to be committed to that attack whatever the cost may be!...We have to construct an Armada. We have to use..the power of Human Innovation, to reclaim New Sephoria and strike back at the enemy!

He relaxes his pose “Even with our allies this will not be an easy fight..it will cost us..in resources, in credits...and lives.

He takes a breath stepping past the podium now at the edge of the platform.

Now some of you may be asking why undertake such a thing and I can tell you in one word!

Victory…

For if there is one thing this galaxy has taught us! Is that without Victory...There can be no Survival!

The crowd is in an uproar as they applaud after the speech. Solarin Federation Officials hold an emergency meeting. At the end of it the Solarin Federation has elected Uri Vatsiznov the previous Councillor of Military Affairs as its new Head Councillor.

The Solarin Federation declares a state of War with the Trialition and will not be deterred by the larger nations. They will fight to the last man in defence of other Human Colonies.

In the event of Xeno Hostility against a Colony directly.

People's Agrarian Republic

With innovation came reward, and Utopie was reaping it. Already a massive agriculture power in the sector, things were looking to ramp up. For now the new variant (Mk-2 Agri Bot) will be utilized. No further effort is yet put into them. But with hands so deft, it changes the agriculture game. Now bots could hand weed, harvest, and do other complicated task with their hands. Their intelligence is to be high, given freedom of movement and process. A farmer can now head over to Utopie to buy them. It is expected the farming sector is about to boom....

As for other developments, they were still under way. The Shock Troop cadre is ecstatic. This new cloaking mesh will do wonders when it's done. Now a trooper can expect to have the best equipment out there. With a state of the art jump pack as just the start. The two hundred hunter droids are incorporated into the cadres tactics. They finally had what they've been dreaming of, an anvil.

The cloaking research will continue. Now is the time to perfect it, and make it truly industrious. True to the German name, it's development is meticulous. After testing it from various angles, the next step is made. What was already multi layered is done again. The mesh is made as fine and light as possible. The detail is heavy, trying to add natural camp besides it's main effect. A prototype is also made out of the Itoron alloy.

Upon receiving the Auroran deflector technology, it became their mission. The PAR will head the project, and begin immediately. After figuring out how to make it, and how it works. They take what is already known, and try to improve upon it. The goal is to make the deflector 'dish' as energy efficient and light as possible. Though it may not cover large things, the goal was to have portable ones. A battery pack potentially run off of xylorite will pair with it. If the dish can be made up to expectations, pairing it with an energy pack will hopefully increase it's uses.

PAR agrees to the SATO request from the Terran federation. They will mainly contribute large shipments of food. It will cover the troops rations, and create a nice surplus. No declaration of war or military support is yet sent. Though they agree it should not be allowed, now does not seem the time.

Continuing cloaking research (2 ap) See above

Further developing deflector technology (3 ap) See above

PAR waits to see how new Mk-2 Agri Bot will do.
