2nd of January 2129. It marks the day the Keerim Imperium strikes. Simultaneously. Everywhere. Four inhabitated systems of the Skellar Kingdom on the East are attacked at the same time within one hour. Alerts, confusion, chaos, panic. Emotions of fear, resignation, anger, hopelessness. Destruction, devastation, ruination and death.

Casualties mount in the thousands within minutes, just thirty minutes later, millions. The Skellar fleets are overwhelmed by sheer numbers and force. One hour later, the Kingdom has lost sixty percent of its ships to destruction or capture. The reports that at first come in floods, turn to a slim trickle from the few holdouts, soon to be extinguished too. The Keerim Imperium has according to projections, sent five-thousand ships to subjugate the Skellar and their allies.

3rd of January 2129. Just one day later, the biggest and most relentless offensive of the Corrupter Dominion in history is set on. All along the border worlds and sectors of the Tassaran Republic reports of massive mounted attacks flood in. Even the Confederation of Xaplonius suffers directs attacks on two sectors. The flood appears endless, soon many of the formerly contested planets are in full grasp of the advancing Corrupter fleets. The losses are staggering.

United States Of Arcturus

Very much at the same time, both systems of the USA are visited by Keerim fleets. Each fleet fields two battleships, five heavy cruisers, five light cruisers, one carrier, two support carriers, ten destroyers and twenty frigates. They are respectively on direct course to the colonies. (Encounter)

The result of the search gives indications, that the lost colony ships stranded in the Tjieran Principate, where they were taken up into the nation. They are being treated quite equally it seems, having established a thriving colony in one of the outer sectors of the Principate.

The project yields its first results.

THE HOLY KINGDOM OF EADN

The progress continues. (9/10 to SL 4)

United Colonial Initiative

With the prototype functional, and the test results confirmed, nothing is in the way of upgrading all ships with the needed warp drive to head out further into the stars. Alike many others.

The result of the study is actually positive. Given the ration system that is normally employed, a higher abundance can lead to a more generous ration system, that allows people to have more food and feed more mouths.

There are plenty suitable locations for additional city centers, but construction will be slow without any real additional investments from the government.

The small freighter on the other hand, leaves port as planned.

Aegis

They find a suitable alpine world in the sector to the East. It's a small star system, without an asteroid belt or gas giants.

The Orbital Space Station is expanded with an additional landing bay and storage hall by the end of the year (Definitely need to know how much you invested in this).

Project Olympus proceeds as planned.

The People's Agrarian Republic

Trade goes as planned, without any particular occurences. Given the central region is at peace, this is expected.

Unfortunately though, nobody is selling out any technological standards at this point in time. It appears the Xylorite is either not sufficient or not particularly needed.

The combat suit proceeds as planned, and already at the end of this year, the first prototype is available. It will take more time though to prepare it flawlessly with integrated jump pack and ready for production itself. Give it more time.

Independent decision making is already based on algorithms, but those can be improved indeed. With more calculating power and a new type of chip, the robots are quicker in making the (supposedly) right choices. It's a minor improvement for now, but it may pay off later down the road.

The Solarin Federation

Another roadblock opens up as unprecedented instabilities in all experiments make themselves apparent later this year. Some calculations seem off and the time is invested in finding the error instead.

No systems are found this time around that appear to hold any other special ores or metals, aside from the usual common elements. They meet a few Grgl freighters passing through one of the solar systems in the sectors, but otherwise nothing special is found. Accessability appears normal, there are no formations that make something... difficult to detect.

The ship is finished halfway as planned (2/4 AP).

The forging and pressing and weaving of the new combat armor will take a while, perhaps even several years at this rate to have it in proper abundance.

Imperial Republic of Mankind

As a massive initiative to fill the plates of the people, the now mostly friendly enviroment is soon host to numberless fields of crops, such as wheat, potatoes and corn. A step in the right direction, one would say.

A first result is in.

Some prepared Itoron and refined Xylorite are traded in from various merchants who visit the colony once in a while.

Hephaestus Enterprises

10,000 robots are being transported off this year to the frontlines. Amongst them a 500 of the Alastor type are being placed under command of Rond Trazur who is hard pressed, deploying his robots whereever the biggest fire is burning. At this point, the Tassaran Republic does not even demand permissions for assistance, it just takes everything it can. The third battle for the Tassaran capital takes place and again, the Corrupters are barely beaten back.

It's not tropical, but they find an ocean world with beaches as white as marble, a climate that ranges from a mild summer in the north or south to a beautiful and comfortably hot summer at the equator. The planet also appears to only have one season. The flora and fauna is harmless. And there are primitives on this planet. Very bulky bear-like beings inhabit the bigger landmasses. Their societies seem to range from tribal, to early kingdoms like Ancient Egypt.

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta

The extension of the shipyard goes as planned. (5/6 AP to SL 3)

The Han Dominion

Both ships are finished as planned and join the growing fleet of the Han.

The genetic research picks up old research records of mankind back on Earth. It's a difficult subject, but it should be doable for specific expressions. The first test objects (mice, unfortunately), mostly die from the first series of procedures, as their genetic code has to be cracked first.

Later during the same year, another ship shows up at the primary world of the Han. It is civilian, heading toward the colony, sending hails. (Encounter)

Silver Knight Corporation

The first foundations for mining are laid, storage facilities are being erected, things proceed at a steady pace.

Aside from the common metal deposits, the colonized planet shows a few spread out deposits of Dakite here and there. Other systems in the sector show no additional yields.

The ships are finished as planned.

Free Human Technocracy

It is a monument to a first generation of people who have fallen on battlefields other than Earth. Something... that mankind has to keep in mind.

Another industrial complex joins the remainder, improving the capacities of the colony.

Building the corvette goes as planned, though is there a call to name it after the previous corvette that got destroyed by the Keerim in battle in the past year.

Mad world…

Spoiler

Some cried, others stood simply ajar, there was nothing that could be done, the US fleet, mighty as it was could not withstand and assault of six thousand ships, no matter the tactics… t’was an unwinnable battle, for the second time in history, the United States was no more, a vassal beneath an Empire, servants to a royal and on the edge of the known territory, As the news came in, several congressmen couldn't take it, fifty congressmen and women, put pistols in their mouths that day, the nation was in disarray. There was no final salvation, no rescue. Their fate was sealed and there was nothing they could do.

Regardless of their new overlord they had to continue their plans, the United States may not be independent anymore but they still had their goals. The fleet must be built up further, for they were still independent to a degree. As the Keerim freighters and garrison arrived, the people of the US wondered how long until they might one day be free...

But things must press on as normal, nearly 20 years after the construction of the USS Rhode Island it was constructed for one purpose, long term exploration far from support, 3d printers, hyrdoponics labs, vehicles and dropships, the USS Rhode Island had not seen a mission in 15 years, but for now, the US people needed a task and there was a task at hand, it lay across the great expanse, the unexplored northern galactic area

2YuaFrS.jpg

The journey would last almost two months in continuous warp. They would find whats out there....

FLEET

EADNI YEAR 21

Since its inception, the young Holy Kingdom of Eadn pushed cautiously onwards toward a new future for its people in the stars, wary of the unknown threats sitting just beyond the galactic horizon. Against the wishes of his High Court, Sultan Khalid of the House of Saud refused to encourage colonial expansion offworld until he deemed the Eadni Kingdom capable of assessing and managing threats beyond their home system, warning that embracing the galactic community too soon may pose a threat to the survival of the Eadni people. For the first two decades of his reign, this view held firm in the mind of the Sultan and any attempt to shake this opinion would result in quick dismissal from the High Court. However, upon making contact with a ship belonging the Karass Dominion, the High Court became aware of something remarkable: the existence of other human survivors.

While the Eadni public was informed in some capacity in regards to the existence of the Karass, the knowledge that other humans survived the diaspora from Earth remained a secret reserved for only those sitting on the High Court. Having been gifted a working quantum communicator and co-ordinates to every human settlement known to the Karass, the Holy Kingdom could at any time contact these remnants and embrace the galactic community at large. Only one question remained: Should they?

DHRnBKUFR4l0g5ZRG_C44ffu5tWZ37PNsnzKASBsB-cmzuy0HxhgeOQ2TsTlDOwps_NKJw5wq2VYXQX90BhT9mTdPI1_d8S2QMkqCTPvhOLaK0OgGvD8mro-2_XpIsPQIA8GiBhX
The Palace of the Sultan, Home to the High Court of Eadn

“It is about time we allow ourselves to expand, my Sultan. We know now we are not alone for certain, and that there are more of us out there. What if the Karass become hostile? We’d need allies.” Admiral Ali al-Noor pauses, scanning the faces of power surrounding him as he speaks. His eyes move from one to the other, carefully reading their stoic expressions. Finally, his gaze meets the Sultan’s and once again the Admiral speaks. “I’ve witnessed the capabilities of these Karass first hand, their technology far outpaces ours, for now, and until such a time that we are strong enough, we would be foolish to -”

From across the room, the shifting of a chair could be heard as a tall young man with jet black hair stands from his seat. Unlike the Admiral, this man is not in uniform and instead straightens his well-tailored suit before interrupting. And who is to say these lifeforms are hostile, Admiral? They gifted us knowledge and equipment, no? Why imagine a fight that isn’t necessary for our survival? Instead of game planning a war against them, we ought to figure out what we have that’s valuable to them, and leverage it in trade. Besides, I would love to get my hands on their tech… and their money. The man smirks as he moves his hand through his hair as he looks toward the Admiral. One of the youngest members of the High Court, Abdullah Wakim leads the Ministry of Commerce and earned a reputation for his ambition in the years following the construction of the first spaceport over Eadn.

Admiral al-Noor looks toward the young Minister of Commerce, surprised that the new addition to the High Court would be so bold as to interrupt one of its most senior members. Regardless, the Admiral needed to respond. “Mr. Wakim, I understand and respect your desire to bring wealth to our Kingdom, however in matters such as these we must not let our thirst for gold blind us from protecting ourselves. We know not the intentions of the Karass, nor their rationale in gifting us the locations of our fellow human colonies? Perhaps they hope we wipe one another out? We must contact our Earthly brethren so that we can stand united against whatever threats lurk beyond our own Ibrahim system.” Before the Admiral could continue, a hand raised to his right and he immediately found his seat, as did Minister Wakim.

His arm raised, the Sultan looked over his advisors with a soft smile before beginning to speak. “We’ve discussed this issue long enough, my friends. For nearly a decade now we’ve debated expansion, but now that we’ve caught a glimpse of what lies beyond our humble settlement we all know the truth; we must grow. If we do not, then what are we? Is it not human nature to want to push the frontier? For twenty years now we’ve grown a proud kingdom on this planet, now is the time to branch out. We shall establish our first colony in a neighboring star system. I’ve already consulted the Ministry of Resources & Exploration, and we’ve decided to settle in Z267-Omega. We expect this system to be rich in resources as it contains three gas giants, a well-sized asteroid belt, and two habitable planets. One is mostly covered in deserts and savannahs, while the other is more temperate. Each will receive 10,000 settlers and the appropriate equipment to establish a permanent settlement. Work in the Spaceport will begin immediately.” The great Sultan’s smile widens as he scans the faces of his advisors, “The system shall be named after our great admiral for his service to his Kingdom. The star and system shall be the al-Noor system with each planet being named for his sons, Hussein and Idris. After this statement, the Admiral stands, bowing to the Sultan as he hears this joyous news for the first time. Honored, the Admiral wipes a few tears forming at the crests of his eyelids.  “As for our handling of the foreigners, we shall reach out to the Karass for technology trading, however we will not reach out to our fellow humans. Yet. This meeting is adjourned.”

The HMS Ali al-Noor, the first Colonial Hauler of the Holy Kingdom.

[4 AP] The construction of the colony ship Ali al-Noor, bound for the system named for the admiral who bears the ship's name.

[0 AP] Using the quantum communicator, the Karass Dominion is hailed by Minister Abdullah Wakim of the Ministry of Commerce. He makes an inquiry concerning the needs of the Karass Dominion, and the possibility of trade between the two nations.

[0 AP] Under command of Captain Jabril Kamal, 3 Suleiman-class Frigates warp to and perform advanced scouting of the al-Noor system. They search for any unfamiliar resources or materials, utilizing probes launched from their weapons systems into the atmosphere of these planets.

[0 AP] The remaining 7 frigates, under the command of Admiral Ali al-Noor himself, conduct fleet exercises in the neighboring systems. They patrol and keep watch for any abnormalities.

[0 AP] In a breach of security, a communications assistant in the Ministry of Commerce activates the quantum communicator late one evening. Utilizing the coordinates of the known colonies (as his security clearance was high enough to be aware of such information), the assistant broadcasts a message to every known human colony, along with co-ordinates: “WE SURVIVE. IBRAHIM SYSTEM. HOLY KINGDOM OF EADN, SONS OF ISLAM.”

The Solarin Federation

Year 2128 Terra, Sol Colony, Sol’s Rebirth System

Death is no Disgrace.” - Salen Kotch

dcc6577db28e32421bae41ae2d7134d7.png

An Emergency Meeting is held in the main council building.

A video screen shows recent conflicts, including the overwhelming numbers the Keerim used to assault the Skellar/Libellans and the USA.

We have a serious problem..” Uri says looking at the other councillors along with several Federation Military Personnel, and ONI Command Personnel

Even if we are able to combat the Corruptors the Keerim will pose a serious threat. However reports do also indicate the HCF leader Colony has surrendered to Imperial Control..because of this the HCF is no more, we should reach out immediately to the IRM and solidify relations.

Do we all agree?” he looks to the councillors, whom all agree though a few with reluctance. The ONI Representative Admiral Cole whom is also the current Director nods “I believe we all think that would be best.” He glances over at Salen who is by his side whom can’t help but smirk.

Uri looks at them “Does the Office of Naval Intelligence have something to bring to this meeting or are you simply here to observe?” he asks, the entire council looks upon them. The Admiral turns to Captain Salen, 20 year old recent graduate of the Academy and ONI Command Prodigy. “I think you can take it from here my Boy.” he gestures him to move forward.

With a steady pace Salen moves forward and enters in his pass-code to the main console, several things pop up on the screen.

The Office of Naval Intelligence has recently reaped a great benefit due to recent conflicts.

He gestures to the screen “Imperial Republic of Mankind Power Armor, it uses hydraulics and a slight exo structure to allow the user movement and excellent protection. Hard to make and slow to produce but we could easily attempt to make it better and more efficient.

Uri keeps his mouth shut. A Federation Naval Officer speaks up “Wait, ONI stole these blueprints?” he asks.

Salen smirks “No, We now have access to all HCF Tech before the incident at Arcturus..” he changes the screen “Cybernetics, developed by the Free Human Technocracy. Now ours, far better than our initial research. Our soldiers can now return to battle after losing an arm or a leg. Previously known as Project XYZ.

He changes the screen once more

Project Infallible..it is an attempt to create Stealth craft and capabilities. This is top secret and I can’t share more at this meeting for security issues but nonetheless we have it.

He turns to the group “The HCF is dead...SATO is stronger than ever, but this battle is only going to get harder. Therefore we must become more ruthless and merciless in our attempts to secure Humanity.

He plants a hand on his chest

People's Agrarian Republic

Such new and terrible events were happening everywhere. But the people of Jatorak would take their stand. They watch a human colony crumble into vassalage. At least they were still alive.. The corrupters advance was cutting through an entire nation. And so for the first time in it's peaceful existence, war is made. Though it seemed power armor would not be done in time. High command was concerned about their troops lack of modern equipment. Their priority was the preservation of combat troops lives. And so a low proportion of the cadre is sent. Some one thousand shock troops embark. Alongside them however is a far larger contingent of droids. Both marks, with the upgrades Utopie had managed.

It is made clear the PAR will fully mobilize it's army once the fight truly begins. They do not want to lose their whole army in the preliminary engagements. However the rest of the army is put into full mobilization. The entire Shock Troop cadre gears up for war. No recruitments are held, as any troops now would be too untrained. Instead Utopie will as always rely on it's Shock and Droid elements. The navy will continue to remain above the colony, guarding it.

*Research will continue, Utopie's greatest minds working over time. Their goal is to continue down their unique path of military appliances. The first prototypes are made of the power armor. They will rush to finish it, trying to get it ready for production. It is hoped with the Steel-itoron power armor granted by the Imperial Republic, that the project will speed up.

**A new idea is also hatched. A droid roughly the size of a tractor is sketched out. It's whole point would be a walking refined xylorite generator. If that was too big to be mobile, another energy type will be used. On tires or legs, it will have to be able to keep up with troops. The generator will be to power a deflector shield. It will cover a large distance, as smalls shields are too advanced. It's point will be to give infantry or supply caravans a moving shield for cover.

***The other avenue looking into is a energized blade of sorts. Utopie scientist look for a metal able to be made ultra sharp. That or a alloy that can hold a energy. This would aid it in cutting through power armor, organic plates, stone, or other things. It would in essence bring close quarter combat back to relevance. If troops with jump backs and a 'power blade' could get in amidst a rank of troops.. It is hoped the project could be relatively easy to make.

*Continuing carbon-itoron power armor research (1 ap)

**Research into mobile shielding (2 ap)

The Life and Times of a Hephaestus Droid

You are a rock. A part of your planet’s crust--a simple piece of iron amongst a great shelf of other metals. Simple, and un-moving for billions of years following the formation of your world. Great shakes, and shafts of searing light puncture the earth where you lay. There is no escape. Capitalism is coming for you, and your destiny is at hand.

Huge, pneumatic shovels rip away your blanket of dirt, and you see your first miner. He smiles greedily upon seeing you. He will profit from your rocky flesh. A great tube is aimed towards you, and the burning heat of a laser melts your stone housing--dividing you into smaller pieces. Whether by hand, or with great mechanical shovels you are thrown into the cargo-holds of terrestrial flyers. You are flown at high speeds, far away from your mother mine to a great structure in the distance. There, many other transporters like yours dock for the same purpose. You enter the airlock of the structure (your world was not blessed with an atmosphere) where more sentients rush about with waivers, documents, equipment, and data-pads. No-one even looks your way as the cargo-flyer drops you and many other ores upon a great conveyor belt. Along your path, great mechanical arms scan you for your mineral composition, and less useful rocks are tossed aside. One of the great arms hovers above briefly, but you remain untouched. You trundle forward on the conveyor until you are dropped unceremoniously into a great freighter. When the doors screech shut, you are left in darkness.

Much time passes. You feel sensations no rock ever should; warp-space, speeds never meant to be travelled, and the light of another world.

The freighter empties its bowels of minerals upon yet another conveyor. All around you are smokestacks and factories, belching out fumes and smoke into the ether--another atmosphere-less planet. Such a waste. The heat of the steel-mill is intense, so much that the sentients within wear protective clothing. Throughout the building the hostile, fiery glows of molten iron tease of your ultimate fate. The conveyor ends, and beneath you is a terrifying pit of fire. You fall into it’s searing embrace and feel the impurities burn away, while the all-important iron melts into a glowing sea.

You are super-heated, and poured into casts. You cool, and are heated a second time to be rolled into great slabs of steel. The workers smile at your final form greedily. They will make a handsome profit from your purified form. The steel plates are placed into new transports and flown through the great pillars of briney smoke. A manufacturing plant at the centre of many steel mills and factories churns out the blackest, foulest fumes of all--your destination.

You and the rest of the steel are tossed upon a final conveyor belt. Mechanics slice you apart with drills, and heat you for a third time. With mechanical hammers you are shaped into parts resembling arms, legs, and heads. Your new body is pieced together from many different metals. Steel, aluminium, copper, and even a little gold. The servos and xylorite cells powering your new form rev and turn for the first time. Your new brain is installed. It tells you to listen, detect, and shoot. It also tells you to obey.

The conveyor ends with a great room, bristling with laser-weapons and sentients. After a preliminary inspection, and making rudimentary checks on movement and tracking systems, they begin grafting a short laser rifle to your empty arm. You will be deadly, no doubt. Your servos power up properly for the first time. You hear the order from a man on a console nearby. March. Up above, on the gangway, several happy, smiling businessmen laugh and light cigars. They watch as you walk yourself into a container with others of your kind. They will make a grand profit from a war-machine such as you. The doors to the container are sealed, and blackness envelops. The sensation of warp-travel returns. You are meant for this, now. You are a Tithonus war-droid. You will bring death and destruction to ‘designation_corruptor’  species. Your visualisers know what they look like. Your weapon knows what power output is necessary to kill them. Your tactical interface knows what cover is best to hide behind. Anything else important will be handled by sentients.

The blackness ends.

Your sensors detect seismic disturbances nearby. Explosions. Shooting. Battle. A sentient sits in front of a simple, battered console. You and the others receive your first order. March, take cover, hold. Your leg servos groan into movement, and with the whirring of your electric limbs you sprint at the fastest operational speed towards the directed location.

You run past the rubble of ruined buildings. Irrelevant to your operational parameters. You run past corpses of corruptors and sentients. Irrelevant to your operational parameters. You run past piles of corruptors, decomposing or still twitching. Irrelevant to your operational parameters. You arrive.

Your tactical interface identifies many appropriate places for cover. You move into position behind a ruined vehicle while hundreds of your comrades spread out around other sturdy refuse. Your sensors detect sentients running towards you. Designation_friendly. Your weapon is aimed elsewhere. Many of them appear to have sustained damage. The sentients disappear down the path you entered from--they don’t spare you a glance. Sensors spike again. Significant group of designation_corruptor approaching. Your weapon adjusts its power-outage to compensate for the range. Your visualisers scan for movement among the buildings. The enemy appears. They do not attempt to hide or take cover. Droids blend in with the twisted metal and concrete of the landscape. They arrive within range, scuttling quickly on their many legs. Your visualisers identify the surest target--the information is relayed to the tactical interface, and then to your weapon. A fizzing, flash of light erupts from the end of your rifle and a corruptor falls to the ground, screeching. A second shot, and it is silenced. You detect energy bursts from your comrades. Many hostiles are approaching firing range. You identify another target moving over a shattered wall, and you fire. It crumples into a mass of burning flesh and boiling blood. Your third target is much closer. You fire, but it rushes to your right. Your burst burns off one of its legs. An angry hiss heralds its arrival behind your cover. The tactical interface instructs your servos to sharply angle your torso by 30 degrees. The corruptor’s strike scrapes across your chassis, but the damage sustained is minimal. Your weapon discharges twice into the creature, and it drops to the ground blacked, and writhing in pain.

Sensors detect more movement, but as you pivot your weapon towards another target, the creature barrels into you. You fall on your back and your weapon is pinned down by the creature’s legs. Visualisers observe as the corruptor tears the head from your body. Visuals are disrupted. Sensors soon follow. The tactical interface hasn’t enough information to proceed with combat directives. Critical damage is detected in your chest, and electricity begins to ebb from all systems. The interface deactivates due to lack of power, and weapon systems are nonfunctional due to a lack of targeting data. The sounds of laser bursts can still be detected by audio before you shut down. Did you win? It doesn't matter. Your destiny is fulfilled.

An excellent effort, for a rock.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The office of Steven Penrith, CEO of Hephaestus Enterprises, was silent. This was not in itself unusual, but it was extremely unusual when the office had three occupants. In the glamorously decorated space, Steven, Milly Price, and Jason Woolard sat around the great, mahogany desk, and gazed at reports from the Tassaran front. Each one of them had a whiskey in their hand, and each one was looking particularly morose. A hundred-million dead Tassarans. Direct attacks on Grgl systems. The war had seemed so far away, but now it was starting to drift uncomfortably close. Too close for anyone on the Board.

“Maybe…” Jason mumbled, his chins jiggling with disconcert, “...maybe we could strike a deal with the corruptors?”

“For the last time, Woolard, they don’t do diplomacy. Do they even have markets? Systems of worth?! Private enterprise at all?!!” snapped Milly. Of the three, she was clearly the most distraught. The thought of xenos that could change humans into monsters was something that kept her awake at night.

“But how do they buy things if they don’t have deals? I’m just not following!” the rotund Mr Woolard howled. His frustrated gestures nearly knocked over his whiskey glass, but the owner was clearly not paying attention.

Steven stared at the reports, quietly drumming his fingers along his desk. He remained motionless. Never had the CEO felt so powerless. The hulking mass of territory that the corruptors controlled, and the slowly shrinking sliver of territory the Tassarans were holding seemed insurmountable. He owned a big corporation. But what could a corporation do against that behemoth? The Solarin Federation and Imperial Republic were steadfast in trying to fight them conventionally. But even with all the tank-bots and powered combat-suits available to them, did they have even the slightest ghost of a chance at making a difference? Could 200,000 droids even give the mildest bit of aid? Steven wasn’t confident.

The door to the office opened, and Phillip Narau, super-accountant, walked calmly inside. With a data-pad under his arm, the very slightest of smiles played across his lips. For Phillip, he may as well have been grinning maniacally, based on the amount of emotion he usually showed.

“Good afternoon, everyone. I take it you’ve all seen the report? Relatively unfortunate, given our stake in the situation.” The hulking Maori pulled a chair towards the desk, and planted himself lightly upon it. “I believe I have a possible solution that may turn things more to our favour.”

Steven furrowed his brow, but with a resigned gesture, he indicated Phillip to continue.

“I have been communicating with our ‘friends’ at Silver Knights. And we agree on possible remedy to these incursions. Provided we’re willing to perform actions that some might call…” He paused briefly, searching for a word. “... unethical.”

Steven carefully pushed his whiskey-glass aside, and exhaled sharply. “There’s no such thing as ‘ethics.’ Only PR, and results.”

And with that, a morbid decision was made, and “Project: Lemon” was born.

Action Points

-More Tithonus Droids are produced and sent off to the Tassaran front to die in place of living soldiers. (-3AP)

-More Alastor Droids are produced and sent off to the Tassaran front under the command of Rond Trazur. (-3AP)

-Project: Lemon (-3AP) [MOD PLZ]

-On a long, dull night in Laboratory Complex A, a scientist researching the Corruptor cadavers becomes intensely frustrated and in response becomes intensely drunk. He writes a long, rambling message intended for the Protorian Archiver, asking if there are any secret goodies in his archives about the corruptors, their genetics, a way to kill them, or a way to nullify their mutation effect. He also rants about his sex life for a few paragraphs, his wife not being as attractive as she used to, and how his co-worker, Brian Matthews, never shuts up about his holiday-condo in Habi-dome H-19. The rest is illegible, drunken rambling, but the message has all the official regalia of Hephaestus Enterprises, so it goes through un-vetted. (-0AP)

Activity

The Activity upon the two Colony Worlds was one of work, research and the daily family life that was promoted outside of work activities. The SK Corporation was dead set on attempting to aleviate any fears of the outside and foreign threats that the Corrupter Dominion and the Keerim Imperium posed to their worlds. Only making passing mentions to them on News Broadcast Systems.

However in the board room things were much different, with various executives and shareholders panicking, some of them demanding to pre-surrender to the Keerim and ask them to attack the Corrupter's. Edward on the other hand would have none of it "I built this Company from nothing, I bought out BAE from which many of you came from. I don't surrender at the first sign of trouble" The CEO would snap at the board, most of them piping down. "I have a plan to deal with this, our 'friends' in Hephaestus will assist us, the details of the project however will only be known to myself, the Chief Engineer, Scientist and of Security." Edward would state more calmly, the board of directors accepting his decision.

Outside of the doom and gloom of the boardroom politics, trade had been struck up between the Company and many new partners around the galaxy to overall increase the productivity and profitability of the Corporation as a whole. Negotiators would be sent out to maximize the potential trade output.

The Building of Infrastructure on New Gibraltar continues as is planned, turning the world into a major mining output world for most metals and of course having small deposits of rare dakkite would also open up the possibility for future developments in weapons technology. There is still much work to be done however.

Immense Research is put into a new and heavily secret project not known outside of the Corporations Inner Circle. The Project is titled "Lancelot". (( Mod Pls)) (3AP)

More work is put into the Mining Facilities new Gibraltar (1AP)

100 Regular Ground Assault Mech Suits are produced and offered to the Tassarean Republic for sale (1AP)

The Corporate Naval Quota is not met though resources are pumped into producing one Frigate by the end of year (2AP)

Imperial Republic of Mankind

40k_imperial_aquila__transparent__by_fug

Location: Novam Domum, Imperial square in front of the palace.

Alexander Varellion emperor of the IRM steeled his features as thousands of people watched him on the Imperial square.

He had called for a conference to tell the people the hard news of what happened and what was to come.

Alexander did not like this and he would understand if his people didn't like it but it needed to happen.

His decisions would most likely cause the deaths of thousands but it could possibly save the lives of billions though this would not be guaranteed.

Alexander then spoke up and started his speech which could change the whole of the IRM though the question is whether it would be for good or worse.

"My people, recently bad news has come, the USA has fallen under the clutches of the vile Keerim Imperium and the Corrupters are threatening to destroy the Tassarean Republic." "These names sound far away and you might think that it is not relevant to us but it is." "At this very moment millions of sentients are dying just because of sick abominations like on the moon." "The truth of the matter is, there will always be monsters, no matter what circumstances there are." "Men die because of the vile desires of these monsters and if none stop them these monsters will control everything." "That is how it always was and how it will always be." "Yet the proof of a great man is not to do the easy thing but to do what is right and almost always doing what is right is much harder than doing what is easy yet without such men civilization and freedom falls." "Such monsters are in the east of the galaxy killing thousands by the day, now they may be far away but if they are not stopped then it will be YOUR friends and family who will all die or live under oppression their whole lives never seeing the light of freedom and liberty." "So my people do you want to do nothing and stand aside as these monsters kill millions, threaten your families and your freedom, will you stand aside as they will take away all that is good in this galaxy." Then the crowd inspired by the speech would cry in approval and cry that they would not stand aside Alexander would continue "No we will not, we are Imperials we are one of the last vestiges of humanity and we will do what is right no matter the costs, we will have to put our prejudices aside, we will need to push past our common believes to make sure that we will do the right thing.", "That is all for now my people, may fortune shine upon the Imperial Republic." Alexander would then move away from the podium with cries of approval sounding behind him.

Location: Novam Domum, Imperial office

The emperor of the IRM Alexander Varellion looked at the galactic map and several screens showing the galactic situation and it was not good.

War was brewing in the wester galaxy with a conflict between the Protorians and Backhatta defending against the Karras.

Meanwhilst the galactic East was in a full on war with the Tripatirate, Grgl, Tassareans and the majority of the human colonies fighting against the Keerim and the corrupters.

The situation was dire and whilst he knew that the IRM itself was not directly threatened he knew that if he would not interfere there was a very good chance the Tassarean republic would fall, that was just the way fate worked.

Now he was drinking his coffee (thank goodness he finally got the domes producing luxury products and Utopie imports) as he observed the situation.

Then he heard the door slide open and between there his secretary Lily walked in through the door guarded by two men in fall armored combat gear.

"You know that you are working too late again aren't you ?" Alexander then went with his hands through his hair and looked at him "Free time and sufficient sleep become a myth when you become the absolute ruler of a nation and are preparing it for war." Lily then looked concerned at him "You know you don't have to do this, there are other bigger nations that should do this that have been doing this for hundreds of years, we are just a minor colony of less than 300.000 souls and not even 3 systems under our control, we shouldn't have to fight these immense larger than life threats." Alexander then looked at Lily and nodded "I agree we shouldn't have to do this but in the end if we don't do it then who else would, the other bigger nations can take the Corrupters and Keerim on so they don't worry about them but colonies like us know the truth, if we don't stop them and if the Tassareans fall then eventually we will also fall." Lily nodded but sighed. "Still we shouldn't have to do this, why won't things naturally go good so we can just expand, improve our tech and grow in peace." "That's the course of life Lily, things will never be alright and there will always be threats in the galaxy yet it are good men that will always stand up no matter what they have to lose who will then do the right thing."

"Now it is time to work the massive machine of administration and get our industry rolling to save the galaxy."

The council members looked out upon the city of Orion, the always bustling city was quiet and darkness consumed the city. Just as it concealed the faces of each individual member within the room. Outlines of some could be seen shaking rapidly in a nervous tick or the sound of chewing fingernails. A sniffle of some getting over their cries can be heard and a cough can be heard as some man cleared his voice to interrupt the movements before he speaks, “We need a decision.. With the USA becoming apart of the Keerim Imperium, it is inevitable that the HCF will dissolve within the next couple of hours. The Imperial Republic of Mankind is surely going to agree with us. As we have new times ahead of us. Playtime is over people. As the Destiny incident showed us the first death of Humans since Earth, the universe is still a deadly place.” The man would flip on a light, as it took away the darkness away as God did the Devil. “Now we have several matters of state to attend to.. We will not be allowing any other human colonies migrate to our colonies. Currently the only allowed colony is the Holy Kingdom of Edani who revealed themselves late last night.” He took a deep breath as he scanned across the room at the still shaken council members.. “Quantum communications will all be limited through the council and high command. We also will be investing into our naval fleet. We will be using the Edani shipyard. This will require us to put more resources into it.” He’d slid over into his chair, the grey in his beard showing from his age combined with the stress he had experienced with the loses of his citizens and close friends in the USA.

The group had finally shaken their blank, shocked state. A bunch of new faces had been revealed.. Young, inexperienced, and diverse. A Da’nor women now headed the Science and Engineering Division. A Human-Da’nor male now led domestic affairs. Humans still dominated the military and colonial affairs but that did not stop the Da’nor citizens from enlisting. These new faces did not bother to argue with Ben but they would challenge his ideas at some point.. The turning point of the Technocracy was upon them…

Activity:

After their many months in space the U.C.F. had been able to allocate enough resources to create 4 of their new Dundas frigates, a colonial freighter, as well as a standard interstellar freighter. Recent discoveries have found their homeworld of Jardun III to be a mineral rich environment, leading local entrepreneurs to make a pretty penny on the local markets. Recent discoveries in the scientific fields of gravity had been made when an unnamed scientist created a system capable of maintaining a stable gravity on board large vessels and orbiting stations. Many wonder what advancements this technology can lead to, whether it can be weaponized, and if it can be fine tuned for civilian purposes.

Scientists have recently discovered new wavelengths of which they are able to send signals, allowing the range of their radars and antennas to reach unprecedented distances. Efforts are being put forward to create powerful relays that may be mounted on board vessels, allowing faster response time between channels over trans-stellar pathways. Others are pushing the idea of massive relay stations to possibly communicate with other civilizations, or even any other survivors from Earth.

On board the newest colony freighter are 25,000 souls that pledge their lives to become settlers of a newly discovered planet in a neighboring system. Extra precautions are put into the execution of this plan to ensure the highest chances of success of transport into the system such as scanning probes across the planets, and extra supplies for the settlers. (2 AP)

Figuring that their world is much richer in resources than previously thought, the R&D department of the U.C.F. begins deeper research into more effective and rugged mining equipment (1 AP)

With their new communications technology researched engineers have begun construction of relay stations, allowing scientists to begin sending radio waves throughout the galaxy in hopes of a returned signal. Whether the signals will be responded to remains unknown. (1 AP)

The Han Dominion

Summer, HSC 3

1XEvCWms6OjiBon2BS3MG4P-u3gDR0qPXN4gDuKhFDuMmNPsMAWztovQNmmoJrlWeJ2PK-8RFod0yj4S6QDHmfwAKXUtGrkDokOC6W3kXiyo20LOB8PaHPEVZ2Ke77O2NktpsjJL

Summer had dawned on Xin Xi’an, and the near-constant rain had finally abated. With the weather finally allowing, the annual military parade was underway, marching past the capitol palace in lockstep. The Daos presided over the entire affair, while high officials of the Dominion government watched from stands erected at street level in the central plaza.

General Shi Cheng’s chest swelled with pride as he watched his men pass by. It was glorious. Each tan-clad soldier was ready to fight. Each was ready to set sail into the galaxy, to bring the iron fist of Han authority crashing down on the Wairen trash that infested it.

It was a shame that they weren’t doing so already.

No, it was worse than that. It was treason. The Dominion had been betrayed by its own internal security agency, and by the civilians they’d brought before the Daos. Civilians. Cheng had never expected the government to sink that low. Now they’d opened the floodgates, and there were a few businessmen at seemingly every assembly called. What’s more, they’d started moving operations to the Guangdong system, where damn outsiders were going to be allowed. There was a sickness eating at the nation, no doubt about that.

He clasped his hands behind his back as he strolled alongside the parade, contemplating the future. He would not allow his people to be corrupted by outsiders, least of all when they weren’t even of the same species. As long as he still lived, his army would be ready.

Cheng soon approached the elevated stand erected for high leadership to view the parade, and snorted in disgust. At least there were no civilians, but even here, watching an army-organized event, there were the black and red uniforms of Jinyiwei agents. As he climbed the stairs to the top, he couldn’t help himself from stepping over to their side.

There were three of them, sitting in the front row. All were middle aged, though one was short and squat, while another was muscular and the middle one thin. It was the last that Cheng sat behind, pushing his way through the other officers to the second row of seats.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” he said after a pause, and the man in front of him straightened like a rod, the hairs on the back of his neck standing on end. “Soon enough they’ll be on some other world, doing what they do best to some unlucky race of wairen filth. Unless you get another band of traitors together to stop them, of course.”

“Hello, Cheng,” came the reply, anger and annoyance laced throughout.

“Nothing to say? Mark my words, Yimu, this isn’t over,” continued Cheng, while a squadron of bombers flew overhead. “Your foreigner friends are going to stab us in the back the first chance they get, and I don’t intend to wait for that.”

“Any one of the Trialition’s members is vastly larger than us. What do you propose we do?”

“We could start by not giving their spies a damn enclave to start infecting the whole damn country with their lies.”

Yimu was silent, looking out over the parade without replying to his brother. Cheng sat back, and smirked. “Where’s that wife of yours, Yimu?” He continued. “It’s been so long. We should catch up sometime.”

At that, the thin Jinyiwei agent jolted to his feet, his fists clenched. Without a further word, he turned on his heel and stalked off the platform, his expression a rictus of fury. Cheng only laughed, his good mood restored, and turned his view to the palace, where camera drones were preparing to broadcast the Dao Er’s speech...

----------

From a seemingly empty patch of space in the southern galaxy, on the very edge of its vertical width, a message is broadcast to all known human settlements:

UZtEyp_aARL8YczjMVRX6vGxH_a1_3oYnLRNVzUtAyI-z7m6M0sGE6AwKmzeYI2PpfcaUtdpxJ7RBhwBxpZ7XAYXFqDdit_7pLcuud1kUdLirX7xtBzjJFi8cAqzDxegdcFwrIHg

It begins with the official seal of the Han Dominion, accompanied by a rendition of the national anthem. This continues unexplained and uninterrupted for nearly five minutes before the seal fades away, replaced by the Dao Er, masked and cloaked as always. Around its neck hangs a small pendant, bearing three silver crescents.

2HgzWlKrnSdc_kRF_jTM-5yHS6ekHZKxlwKd7LDJF5gDxMKGiwrg7WGy3cZ1GrHkeMALqk7C4SA7k6uUreu31DOzoDASbKgh6izJtiRFJxX_cKXz4ttzzDSsENp34N9Pl9FElv2H

In voice-modulated Mandarin, the Dao Er addresses the audience, its masked eyes looking directly at the camera.

“Wayward sons of Earth,

For too long you have squabbled and argued with each other like children. Undisciplined, driven by greed and avarice and self-interest, you pursue only decadence. You sow only negligence. You reap only weakness. But all that will change, in time.

The Han survive, and they have rid themselves of your flaws. Disorder has been washed away by discipline. Degeneracy has been washed away by a higher purpose. You shall experience the same. As heirs and stewards of the greatest civilization ever to grace Earth’s surface, they will lead you into the light, in time. The Dominion will see to that.

For now, we invite you to come to us with tribute. Present us with a token of your deference, and we shall allow you access to the city of Huizhou in the Guangdong system, where you may see what our glorious Dominion has wrought, and trade as you wish. And take heart! Your salvation is at hand.”

With that, the Dao Er raises a fist in salute, and says a single phrase before the transmission cuts out.

“Victory to the Han!”

----------

Following contact with the Ascardians, the Daos deliberate and come to a decision. The city of Huizhou, on the planet Fanyu in the Guangdong system, will be opened to Wairen ships who are cleared by the military base on the outer planet Xuefen. Currently, visiting Ascardians are granted two week visas to stay in Huizhou, and the local governor can allow more permanent residence at his discretion. The same offer is made to the other members of the Trialition. It is made very clear to the galaxy as a whole however that any ships trespassing on any other Han space will be engaged as hostiles, but goods are brought from all other planets to Huizhou: the finest tea in the galaxy, rare silk, cheap flour from Yuguo rice, honey, rice wine, and some rather low-quality household appliances, emblazoned with familiar logos that bear striking resemblances to reputable companies in the galaxy, to be sold to unscrupulous alien merchants at minuscule prices.

Back on Yuguo, the military commissions the construction of a new corvette to further expand the Dominion’s military power. In addition, Shanghai station is expanded with larger docking bays, and a new launch port for the navy’s newly designed fighter. 100 of these are put on order.

The genetic expression research continues at a slow and steady pace. Current projects are focused on rapid sequencing tools as researchers attempt to understand specific genetic codes more easily. Future projects will look into inducing anatomical changes directly.

United States Of Arcturus

Without further interference from the new Keerim overlords, the light cruiser is finished as planned and joins the Arcturan fleet. The two corvettes are also finished as planned.

The journey of the ship begins, sailing as a civilian vessel through the vast territories of the Protorian Council and Redon Imperium without issues. To avoid confrontation with any potential Karass lords, in a good distance, the ship continues towards the Northwestern parts of the galaxy through no-man's-space. It is uneventful thus far. The first part of the journey has a few checkpoints and some other vessels passing by, but the later is spent mostly in sheer silence. Minor radio communication can be received from Karass space, a science vessel is met in a solar system briefly, but they mostly heeded to their own business. And then they reach the space where the charts end. The expansive Northwestern region, that holds no known inhabitants. They proceed their journey for two weeks, spotting one or the other inhabitable planet, until they suddenly enter a system so densely populated that all sensors trigger almost immediately upon entry. (Encounter)

This depends on where and how far the search is to go and what the parameters are... (Skype for details)

Secret stuff is secret.

THE HOLY KINGDOM OF EADN

The colony ship leaves port as planned, a new stepping stone for the Kingdom on its path to greatness.

Trade with the outer Karass systems is permitted.

The survey of the various bodies in the system reveal that one of them in particular holds massive amounts of what the Karass describe as Xylorite. A crystal with high density and extreme amounts of potential energy. Treated with care and utilized properly it can efficiently fuel ships for long journeys and power other things.

Two sectors to the Northwest, already in close proximity to the Central Cloud, a huge structure is discovered by a frigate, that continues to send short-lived and very distorted signals. Luckily, due to the close proximity they were able to ascertain it is artificial and came to check up. The structure appears to be a massive space station in orbit around a geologically active planet close to its host star.

The Solarin Federation

All three ships are finished as planned. A substantial addition to the fleet of the Federation. The colonial freighter remains unfinished in orbit.

With the little effort given by the various members, there is no progress to be seen this year.

By the end of the year, only five-hundred tank bots are being produced. It is not much, but given the allocated resources, they were not able to facilitate much more than that.

The production of the infantry combat armor though, goes quite well, and already two-thousand units of each combat armor variant are ready for usage in the armories.

The Tassaran Republic simply appreciates any help.

United Colonial Initiative

The finalisation and retrofitting goes without issue, and soon all ships can travel beyond the confinments of the colony's solar system.

It might be a stroke of luck, but already in the first system in the sector to the North, they find a Terran planet, very much alike Earth... too much alike Earth. Some parts of the Fauna they are able to observe are pretty much... Earth's plants. Something seems to be afoot.

The corvettes are finished as planned, new warp drives included.

People's Agrarian Republic

Despite the most generous gift of the Imperial Republic, its schematics and functions are not necessarily what the scientists are looking for. The bulky massive heavy infantry armor is the opposite of what the scientists are researching, with their lightweight combat armor with integrated jump packs. Nontheless, the first version is properly finished and readied for mass production.

They are able to combine existing blueprints and research from various servant and combat droids, from farming bots, etc. The result is a four legged heavy walker with an integrated Xylorite reactor, on which they simply slapped shield emitters. The single phased shields they generate are a dome of a safezone. The only issue right now, is that they have to immobilize themselves and dig in, in order to maintain the shield. As a stationary zone of protection useful though. The shield's density is lower on ground level, allowing for a person to walk through it with some effort. It does not truly protect from directed heavy fire though.

Power blades as they are called by the PAR, are nothing new. The Redon and Protorian forces have force blades they utilize, the Redons even field specialized melee only infantry. Other nations have their infantry with normal hardened combat knifes, Itoron edged, tipped or full Itoron, some with additional force blade enhancements that extend the knife and give it additional cutting power. It is not easy to get something like that going, depending on what approach should be taken.

One-thousand suits of the armor are done by the end of the year, certainly providing a heavy backbone to the forces of the PAR.

2,000 Hunters and 500 tank bots join the PAR's mechanized forces.

Hephaestus Enterprises

15,000 new Tithonus robots. It's like a droplet of pure water for the thirsty Tassaran soldier. But it has its effect. Hope. Whereever a Tassaran company falls to shambles, the robots are deployed, stoically marching straight into the Corrupters, shooting them left, right and center. Relief is what the worn out Tassaran forces need in any form or shape.

1,500 Alastors join their little brethren to act as bulwarks in the oceans of Corrupters that often engage the machines in melee, suffering incredible losses, although they do destroy them.

Lemonade is made.

The Archivar invites the representatives of Hephaestus personally to Proteum Davun, the Protorian homeworld. (Encounter)

Silver Knight Corporation

He was a knight of the round table. (Skype for details)

More drilling takes place as they strike a new vein of ore in the existing mine shafts.

Whilst the Mechs are produced, the Tassaran Republic simply lacks the resources at this point to effectively buy anything. They can at most offer consumer goods, such as furniture and household appliances.

Another frigate is finished, prepared to do battle in the name of the Silver Knights.

Imperial Republic of Mankind

And thus the first Imperial Destroyer takes its place as (current) flagship (or biggest ship) of the Imperial navy. It should give the fleet some edge in hostile encounters with only minor vessels.

The new suits, rifles, bayonets are all finished as planned, bolstering the heavy infantry quite substantially. What follows next, is the training of course. Given, from the experience they have obtained in the battle there is one particular tactic that works well against the Corrupters. Concentrated firepower. Whenever they charge, try to focus and bundle firepower on their mainbulk of forces. In uncovered areas, especially devastating. Firing lines and group formations are soon a standard for the space marines of the Imperial Republic.

They are abducted without incident, from less developed nations and regions on the world of these people. The children cry most of the time and do not understand a single word of what the humans speak. It is... unjust.

Free Human Technocracy

The Eadni shipyard begins to undergo one of its biggest extensions yet. (2/20 AP to SL 5.)

In the existing sections however, a new ship is being assembled. Halfway done, it should see starlight in another year. (4/8 AP to Carrier)

Both scouting ventures yield positive results in the matter of habitable planets. The sector to the West sports a system with two Arctic planets around a very cool star. The sector to the East sports a system with a tropical planet in the habitable zone.

United Canadian Front

An alpine planet in a system proves to be a viable choice for the new colony. Flora and Fauna are peaceful, the enviroment is not hostile, mild summers and winters dominating the seasons. The planet appears to have plenty of water in rivers and lakes, but sports not a single ocean.

The best idea that is immediately followed up upon, is to utilize laser cutters as mining equipment, as it allows for precise mining of specific chunks of ore, without destabilizing any potential shafts through tremors caused by drills and explosions. Not that the old methods would be replaced of course, but the right combination should bring a new level of efficiency.

The Quantum Communication Systems work... supposedly. So they send, and send, and send. After a month of trying, a foreign ship suddenly appears in the home system, heading straight for the colony. (Encounter)

The Han Dominion

The expansion of the shipyard continues to progress as planned. (2/6 AP to SL 3.)

The planned ship and fighters are ready by the end of the year, bolstering the Dominion's forces a bit more.

The genetic engineering research progresses horrifingly slowly. It is not a potential inability of the scientists, but more the difficult, complex and heavy essence of the subject at hand.

Events

The Tassaran Republic has currently 400 million men in arms. The suffered losses amount to 175 million (130 million military personnel, 45 million civilians). The Confederation of Xaplonius has currently 120 million in arms and deployed in Tassaran space. The suffered losses amount to 23 million (no civilian losses). An estimate of 300 million Corrupters have fallen up until now.

The fourth battle of Tassarea ends with a victory for the defending Tassareans and their human allies. It's a brief break.

The Skellar Kingdom and Libellan Union both announce the cessation of hostilities against the Keerim and acknowledge their new status as client states of the Imperium. The Keerim have halted any ongoing movements currently and are not hostile towards anyone. Entry into the Imperium is prohibited though, only citizens of the three client states may enter specific systems in the Imperium.

In a surprise maneuver, a massive fleet of the Karass Dominion has openly began to assault the Corrupter domains, tearing wide gaps into their supply lines and infrastructure, causing havoc, relieving the non-stop pressured Tassaran Republic for real the first time. The Karass forces are stationed and supplied by the Confederation of Xaplonius, who apparently knew beforehand about the maneuver, though per agreement did not announce it.

A ship manned by... space parrots appears to tour various human colonies. They call themselves Zyrka, belonging to a company named Zyrka engineering. They took a long route around West, past Karass Dominion space, and are here to explore and potentially trade, technology or wares. (Encounter for anyone willing.)

Retribution. As a result of their complete failures, several scientists of the Ministry of Commerce found themselves removed from their homes in the middle of the night, quietly replaced by new clones capable of performing their tasks. The damage was done, but dissent would not be tolerated by the High Court, and especially not by the ambitious Minister of Commerce, Abdullah Wakim, who hoped to satisfy the Sultan by demonstrating his brutal efficiency.

Regardless of the Minister of Commerce’s actions, the damage was done. The Holy Kingdom of Eadn no longer stood alone on the galactic and its people needed to become aware of this. Information about the other human survivors is slowly fed to Eadni state media so as to ease the public into this knowledge. Generally, the message put out by the Eadni High Court is one of jubilation as their Earthly brothers survived, and the Holy Kingdom no longer has to hold the burden of being the lone survivors of the human race. Instead, there were likely millions of survivors scattered all across the galaxy - something to celebrate. Despite the Sultan’s wishes to remain anonymous, the High Court decided to put their best foot forward and embrace what remained of the human race.

The IEN Ali al-Noor landing upon the desert planet of Hussein after dropping an advance party

In accordance with the Sultan’s plans, the first Colonial vessel of the Holy Kingdom, the IEN Ali al-Noor is filled with 20,000 Eadni from Eadn City. Most of these colonists are of the upper caste, supplemented by middle and lower caste workers to do the brunt of the work on the colony. Each planet, Hussein and Idris, would receive 20,000 colonists each. The goal was to have a capable outpost in which the Eadni could thrive away from the homeworld. Quantum communications are established here as well, now that the Eadni have the knowledge of such things as a result of partnerships with the Free Human Technocracy.

As the markets open up in the Eadni, the many Imams of Eadn petition the government to refuse any non-Eadni onto the surface of Eadn. Like the city of Mecca, Eadn is a planet only for the sons and daughters of Islam who were guided to the planet by Allah. The High Court, seeing an advantage to such things from an intelligence standpoint, agrees. Subsequently, the ark drifting in orbit is to be utilized as a sort of orbital market. This is where all foreign traders would come to trade, rather than being allowed on the surface.

By holding weapons systems as a priority in trade, the Holy Kingdom came to acquire several advanced systems of war from its trading partners. From the People’s Agrarian Republic, the Holy Kingdom came into possession of railguns more advanced than their own capabilities that were capable of penetrating Itoron hulls. The P.A.R. also helped the Eadni acquire deflector shields capable of protecting ships in the Eadni fleet, schematics that were put to immediate use. From another trading partner, the Free Human Technocracy, the Eadni became aware of the strength of Itoron hulls, as well as how to make and mine Itoron alloys. Such hulls were immediately put into use on the construction of a new fleet, while older ships were scheduled to be re-fitted with such things.

After the reports of the artificial station found to the Northwest, the IEN is ordered to continue monitoring it, but otherwise not infiltrating the station. Prior to any actions taken, the Karass are contacted, asking if this belongs to them or not. (ENCOUNTER?)

Diplomatic Actions
Now that the Holy Kingdom of Eadn had been revealed to the Galactic Community at large as a result of the dissenter, an official message would be sent to every nation, regardless of whether or not they responded to their initial message.

“On behalf of all peoples of the Holy Kingdom of Eadn, I, Sultan Khald of the House of Saud-Al Nahyan, wish to introduce our proud Islamic Kingdom to the rest of the galactic community. Our fleets are capable, our armies our strong, and the planet Eadn is rich in resources. To whomever receives this, we may be either a capable ally or an unrelenting enemy. For now, consider this message an invitation to establish diplomatic channels between our nations.”

[ 2AP] Work begins on the first carrier of the Eadni Fleet. Named after legendary Ottoman fleet admiral Hayreddin Barbarossa, it is to be equipped with the most advanced equipment that the Imperial Eadni Navy can manufacture. Substantial amounts of space are left for eventual equipment upgrades.

[2 AP] Simultaneously, work begins on the IEN Drawn Sword of Islam, a Dragut-Class destroyer that would act as the backbone of the Eadni fleet. This fleet build up is part of the construction of the Kingdom’s first Carrier Strike Group.

[2 AP] Investments are made toward industrial resource excavation in the new system. Specifically, the scans target Itoron and Xylorite in hopes that a good mine might be found. After the success of initial surveys, they hope more might be discovered.  A few of the systems neighboring the Al-Noor system are monitored as well.

[0 AP] The colonization of the planets Hussein and Idris. 10,000 men are sent to the desert planning of Hussein along with the appropriate equipment to establish a settlement there. A similar process occurs on the temperate planet of Idris. (For the map Czar, just do the sector to the galactic west).

[0 AP] Retrofitting Itoron metal into the existing frigates, while also utilizing Itoron metals in the construction of the new ships. Deflector shields with power from Xylorite generators are also installed. This process would occur over the course of several years. New weapons systems such as railguns from the People’s Agrarian Republic and laser point defense from the Free Human Technocracy are also retrofitted onto existing hulls (first of 3 sets of retrofittings).

[0 AP] The Eadni government reaches out to the alien tourists.
