“You can’t be serious.” the raspy voice boomed across the open hall silencing the many council members amid their arguments. An older man clad in decorated navy blue uniform would stand situated on the opposing side of the council podium. “How do you expect me to defend our planet from threats with a token force of five ships and only a hundred aircraft?” The man would scratch at his shaved cheek shaking his head in frustration, he’d lean over the metallic stand in front of him. “All I’m asking for is two more frigates and the beginning of research into this new strange black metal we found a few years ago.” A short pause would ensue leaving the open room filled with tension and uncertainty as the council members spoke among themselves. A weathered old man in his forties would stand in the middle of the podium staring down at the decorated man. “This will be your last request for the next few years, the people are beginning to think of you as a warmongering lunatic. You’ll receive your ships and we’ll assign a research team to this new metal. The council also sees it fit to request that you assign more soldiers to protect government property as our population grows. You are dismissed High Commander Leahy.the man would wave the Commander off returning to his seat crossing his hands sighing.  “Thank you, I’ll assign a small battalion of 250 soldiers to protect the various government buildings in the meantime I’ll be overseeing construction of our new ships and research of this metal, I will report back when I’ve made enough headway..” Commander Leahy would salute to the six council members before pivoting 180 and walking down the hall shortly to be flanked by his personal guard of marines and officers

KPd5iqILZkXtBdsmciLgGudSCHJWoRjhOIwlh4HNrc1LnixPUf0fGymtv_jfuW7bCyydnZa0MXqR8D_tSOh1detzYJchW437isim_LSirlwERFI1DNOPYy88ILAicmNgIqghql55

“While these new ships are being completed I want to begin another war game with our fleet, I feel our men are getting rusty. Leahy said to his accompanying officer as they walked down the narrow hallways of the orbiting shipyard passing by busy workers and armed marines. “Rusty? We had a war game last year sir I doubt they lost much of the-.” the officer would be shut up quickly by Leahy raising his hand. “If we are to remain combat-effective we must first be ready to operate with our new toys.” The officer would open his mouth to speak but could only stand in awe as they entered a large observation deck overlooking the two frigates under construction. Leahy smiled crossing his arms as he stared off at the two ships, he’d sigh then turn to his officer. “I want you to prepare the Edgehill and the Standard, they’re going to escort our colony ship. After they have escorted the ship I want them to patrol and scan the system that they arrive in.” The officer would salute then pivot to walk down the hallway they entered from, Leahy would turn back to look into space with a blank facial expression, a single thought emanating in his mind. “Soon we’ll find the others and when we do I must either sue for peace or protect our interest.”

Five days passed over Feldspar, construction of the frigates continued and expansion of the city centers trudged at a steady pace. The citizens of the UCI felt a sense of pride and near excitement at the news of the colony ship leaving with its military escort. While the masses were watching over the ship's ceremonial leave, soldiers were busy in the annual broadford wargames. 1000 Marines were pitted against 1000 Army soldiers over control of a large river located far away from the city centers. Intense fighting has been going on around the south mouth of the river with an estimated 400 Marines and 600 Soldiers vying for control of it, the rest have taken position along the edges of the river with slight skirmishing ensuing. The wargame typically last a week with the previous battleground being over a mountain with the marines coming out on top. In Orbit the combat is watched over by the First fleet whom have been assigned to protect Feldspar at all times.

Activity:

News quickly spread across the colonies of Jardun III as the unknown vessel came within the gravity well of the planet. All 4 Dundas Frigates were dispatched to encounter the craft, and attempted to raise it’s captain on board. “This is Captain of the U.C.F. Wellington, the flagship of the U.C.F. Navy. Identify yourself, or face termination.” The voice on the comms awaited an answer, standing stoic on the bridge of the Dundas Frigate.

Across the planet of Jardun III many watched the local broadcasting systems and awaited a verdict on what exactly the ship was, and why it was here.

New settlers on the planet that has been named Carspan II had begun hasty production of new town centers and such. Their remote miners began to work away, drilling deep into the ground while many men and women began to work on creating the infrastructure for the new cities.

The colony ship remained in orbit above the planet, allowing all of the towns below to retrieve the supplies that they needed at any time. In orbit the question of their military and security began to rise again over time, and eventually it was deemed necessary to build several defense platforms guarding the planet’s surface from any threat that may come from space.

People's Agrarian Republic

Across Utopie celebrations are held. In SATO's first ever battle, victory is seized. It had taken place in a massive battle for the Tassereans capital world. And now the results seemed good, relief had arrived. It's sadly admitted however that very few living Utopie citizens would return. All that came back were the bots, and their Engineers. With them however comes tales of the battle. How the Redon noble had slaughtered thousands with his men. Or how mechs descended from the sky. It is said one hundred of them killed nearly two companies. The Shock Troops themselves had died in the mountains. A new corruptor unit had ambushed them. Only one thousand strong, they had perished.

But with this new fight, much had been learned. The Shock Troop cadre admits they need more flexibility. Thus they had made things like the suits, and mobile shields. Most troops would receive the lighter armor however, and remain shock troops. But new branches are rapidly developing. One thousand men are chosen. They will begin training in their new Itoron-Steel suits. Alongside this is the need for armored and artillery battalions. They will help add to the roundabout capability of the army.

*Recruitment will increase, the army set to double in size. Agriculture bots now did most of the farming, smart enough for it. That meant thousands of young men and women could now enlist. They had no where else to go in practicality. Most skilled positions in the colony were filled with aliens. It was nothing personal to the Germans, but merit achieved more. The army was primarily human, with experienced alien officers. Alongside all this is the formation of a distinctly special unit. It is officially named the 1st Tassaran Rifles of Utopie. They will be solely comprised of Tassaran/Human-Tassaran Utopie citizens. Upon their formation they will immediately be deployed with forces rushing to the Tassaran capital. It is hoped this Utopie regiment will inspire their allies.

**The galaxies first ever 'Galactic Farmer's Meet' is to be held in Jatorak, hosted by Utopie. All human colonies and alien nations are invited. This will be a place for different farmers to all meet. They can bring prize crops/animals, or show off their technology. Sales and deals can be held, and friendships made. Feast will go on all week, and Utopie entertainments. Utopie will feature an opium den for all, alongside all their luxury crops. A contest will be held for the best; Tea, Exotic Crop, and Incense. A panel of various aliens and humans will act as judge. The winners will receive prizes to be unmasked by Utopie. (Mod to act as judging panel)

***Enthusiast for the Redon style, they are asked for help. Utopie wishes to create it's very own melee units. They like the idea of force blades, and wish to expand upon it further. The Redons are asked to send force blades and a trainer to operate in Utopie's academy. In return Utopie promises to further develop the force blades. The finished product would be sent back to the Redons.

Activity

The Annual Shareholders meeting turns into somewhat of a nightmare for Edward, having revealed to his shareholders that the entirety of the Special Forces Company was wiped out while they were on contract fighting the Corrupter Dominion. The situation gets out of hand quickly, with a bloc of shareholders forcing the board to conduct a vote to remove Edward from the position of Chief Executive Officer. Armathwaite allows the vote to continue, he wins, but only by a small margin. It is difficult for the elite of Armathwaite to determine who to back for the foreseeable future, Edward Armathwaite the founder of the Company, or a new up and coming Executive, Peter Wright whom challenged Edward and is buying shares off of Edwards rivals for a marked up price to attain more sway within the Company.

Outside of the meetings of the Shareholders the Company Security Force is discontent, being loyal to Edward as to them he is the one who saved them, who is giving them a chance to live a life of purpose and giving them some of the best living standards for non-elites on Armathwaite. It is difficult to say if the Chief of Security may not get involved, despite Edward wishing to avoid his Capitalist Utopia turning into a Dystonia Nightmare. The Heroes of the Special Forces are heralded as dying for the future of Humanity, the Galaxy and their families or loved ones are permitted to stay within their accommodations and will be provided for.

Edward chooses to ignore the politics going on between the Shareholders for now, he has several projects to complete and he will see it done. He chooses to dedicate more forces to the Corrupter Front, with SATO picking up the majority of the Contract Costs be it through resources, money or information the Contracts requirements are met. An additional 250 Mech Suits will be dedicated to the cause as soon as possible. Thought it is unlikely they can get these forces in by the end of the year.

Activity Points

A New Special Forces Program would begin, aiming to train a vast amount of new young and veteran soldiers how to operate a Strike Suit Fighter both in Fighter and Mech form, to use them interchangeably as the situation demands. Battle Data against the Corrupter Dominion is used in the Program along with any relevant battle data SATO has shared with the Company, a greater amount of resources are pulled into this, both active veterans and teenage prodigy's are selected for the Program. The Creation of the Mining Infrastructure and Facilities continues on New Gibraltar as planned (2AP)

More Resources are put into Project Lancelot (3AP) ((Mod Pls))

President Haynes, just beginning his first term and still having color in his hair nodded “Very well General, please enlighten us on the situation at hand.” Chairman of the Joint chiefs of staff, General Edward Wullow stood as he cleared his throat, taking a sip of water from the crystal glass on the table in front of him he motioned to dim the lights, the projector on the ceiling beamed a bright light onto the wall and within a few seconds the light from the projector dimmed showing a vast galactic map. “As you can see Mr President, the recent expedition to the northern half of the galaxy was a complete success both from an economic as well as military standpoint.” President Haynes nodded as he stroked his chin, “I see I see… And what of the recent naval procurement?” General Wullow nodded switching to the next slide,

gz7oiVukvtrWCsQ-bUPQrzhnAVw2vBuG9Iu8zhlewnc0G3Xt1E1WV-9g78q1gBdVALcsNjXiZ2fElbENUd1mjhwJnh5BP6rNgkrLCwdnuZmAmJ_6l1OhvGGMpzquxDmLZETEulL1

“In agreement with engineering firms, we will have the first South Dakota Class Battleship rolling out of the drydock by the beginning of next year. Regarding that it will bolster our already large fleet and give us the most powerful warship in all of the human colonies, a feat in of itself.” Haynes nodded “Good work General, good work, now onto our next slide yes?” General Wullow keyed the remote showing a rather military looking map detailing possible ship movements as well as the Terran staging area in their home system. “As you can see here sir, the SATO alliance is not as secure or tightknit as they like to think, thanks to the intel from a current SATO member who has been leaking information to us, we have received word of an attack against our friends at the Han Dominion, current estimates put the staging terran fleet two destroyers, their support carrier and two freighters almost certainly carrying troops.” President Haynes nodded as he rapped his fingers on the desk, “Good good, and what of the other SATO nations?” The General nodded “At this time we are working to receive information on those, as it happens.” President Haynes stood up “Very well, assemble the joint chiefs, let's organize our response to this attack.”

Admiral Cuthos sat asleep in his cabin aboard the USS Valley Forge, in orbit around the port of Arcturus the fleet was silent, the crew in their racks as only the night watch manned the bridge. Ensign Johnston, fire control officer was the current officer on watch, he sat eyes dreary as he looked down at his consoles the three other sailors barely staying awake, as he pondered the things one ponders at 3am, a shrill beeping filled the bridge, standing up the Ensign strode over to the quantum comms console as a paper was being printed in long style, he tore it from the top rubbing his eyes as he read.

PRIORITY TRANSMISSION DESIGNATE

SIERRA-1-5-6-GDLF-JULIET-6-3-2

MESSAGE AS FOLLOWS

Attack being planned by SATO forces to take place against the peaceful and friendly nation of the Han Dominion, fleet movements as follows, direct US task force, designation FURY to staging point 34568-J Prepare for hostile action, further information to follow.

Authorization code

6-4-5-6-2-2-2-H-F-G-5-6

END MESSAGE

The Ensigns eyes lit up as he read it “Bosun, wake the Admiral, sound hands to reveille, helm begin course program to staging point, helm-lee direct warp coordinates to the rest of the fleet.” The few sailors on the deck jumped into action, Switching the dim red lights of the warship back to daytime white the Bosun picked up the 1MC, sounds three klaxons he keyed the mic “All hands, all hands, reveille, reveille. All hands to duty stations, Admiral to the bridge, make the ship ready for underway.”

With the course plotted the massive US fleet, warped away from port, its eyes set on the horizon to defend freedom.

Arriving at the staging point, the US fleet went to general quarters, setting condition yolk, and then condition zebra all hatches were closed and weapon systems powered, the massive naval force waited for its signal, receiving a relayed transmission from home the message was from the Han consulate, detailing enemy formations, tactics and weapon systems, the CIC of each ship began plotting possible fire solutions against each ship. They waited, SATO would no longer attack small nations for their own material possessions, the galaxy would know peace, but not at the price of the Han, or any other colonies demise.

The cavalry arrives…..

With weapons powered and targets locked thanks to the Hans relaying target data to the fleet. One carrier, two light cruisers, two destroyers, four frigates and two corvettes warp into the system.  A video feed would be broadcasted from the US Fleet, a stern looking man in his early fifties appears, dressed in the navy combat uniform, complete with flak jacket and combat helmet. The two silver stars and an anchor are visible upon his uniform.

“Hostile warships this is Rear Admiral Cuthos of the United States Navy. We do not wish to destroy you, as it stands you have one heavily damaged support carrier carrying three strike craft onboard, one frigate, three freighters, one destroyer and one corvette. The odds are very much not in your favor Captain Kotch. We also have knowledge of the Xyrolite weaponry carried by your remaining frigate of the PAR, If we detect a launch of the WMDs against either my fleet or the planet below all of your home planets will suffer the same fate, unlike yourself Mr Kotch I am not a fickle man, You have once chance, and once chance only to power down your shields, weapon systems and engines, and surrender. I will not ask again, should you fail to immediately surrender your ships will be destroyed. Should you attempt combat maneuvers or begin firing weapons your ships will be destroyed.  Once again I do wish to stress, we do not want to kill you, but if we have to I will not hesitate, choose carefully, Captain Kotch.”

And one by one, the SATO forces, no match for US and Han might surrendered, turning control of their ships and laying down their weapons. In the end One support carrier, one destroyer, one frigate, one corvette and four freighters were captured that day along with 100 hunter 2 bots.

The massive rocket sat atop the launchpad, the red lattice service tower looming above it as both reflected light of the hot, morning sun. A lone silver van tracked up clouds of dust as it drove down the road towards the rocket, as it pulled to a stop the door slid open, miles away tv stations focused their cameras, three men stepped down from the van, in bulky white suits complete with fishbowl helmets carrying large suitcases with hoses attached to their suits, raising their oversized gloves the three men turned to face the camera giving a final wave, the nametape of the three men, a black background and white thread seemed to jump out at the cameras, Armstrong, Aldrin, Collins. Followed by men in white caps and jumpsuits the group boarded the elevator, a quiet calm overtook the group as they gathered their collective thoughts on the twenty second elevator ride up. As the door opened the bright florida sunlight shone upon them, like gods illuminated the men strode three abreast across the gantry. With a hiss and the hoses of the craft flexing a man in a white jumpsuit held the door open, Collins and Aldrin entered first, strapping in they reconnected their hoses to the command modules onboard air supply, climbing in and being strapped in, Neil Armstrong outstretched his right arm, bulky in a suit his hand was clasped by Launch Pad Leader Günter Wendt. The last man usually seen by astronauts Günter sealed the hatch locking it in place before proceeding down the elevator, Neil looked through the forward porthole at the blue sky as the countdown progressed, first to fifty minutes then to t minus 30 minutes, then 20, then 10. At t minus 33 seconds to launch as Aldrin and Collins fiddled with switches Armstrong took a break from his launch plan and looked out the hatch, expecting to see nothing it took him by surprise, when he saw an older man with gray hair, adorned in a white suit, standing on the gantry with a smile, he raised his hand in greeting, Neil Armstrong closed his eyes opening them again and the man was still there, he shouldn't be there, no one was supposed to be there, was he some sort of launch technician? Neil knew he had to abort the launch to save the man's life, however stupid he must have been to get himself stuck there, still not getting the attention of his crewmates he kept his eyes on the man, reaching up he placed his left hand on the abort toggle, just as he was about to twist the handle, the man in the white suit shook his head, giving a reassuring gesture with his hands. Neil paused hand on the abort lever, for some odd reason the man gave him an overwhelming sense of calm. The man gave him a nod as Neil lowered his arm from the abort switch, he turned to his crewmates who had noticed nothing before looking out at gantry, where he found it empty. At 32 minutes past 9AM Apollo 11 launched, three days later the United States flag sat atop the moon.

The USS Rhode Island's warp generator began warming up, Chief Engineer Dawson knew he needed to keep it in perfect condition for the first warp that would take it out of the Galaxy, as he continued to level pressures and adjust valves and gauges. As the ship began to activate the drive Chief Dawson noticed a fatal error, the cooling rod inside the reactor had lowered, the error would rip the ship apart when it entered warp, frantically working CE Dawson tried to raise it to no avail, too late to cancel warp he tried one last time to raise it. He looked into the reactor housing through the small porthole, to his horror someone was INSIDE the activated fusion reactor, he looked the figure up and down, clad in a white suit, the pants drenched in reactor cooling water, an old man gripped the cooling rod manually raising the rod out of the reactor core and into the up position, Dawson’s eyes lit up as he prepared to hit the emergency reactor shut off, in a futile attempt to save the man's life. However when he looked back into the porthole, the man in the white suit was gone...

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta

170px-Coat_of_arms_of_the_Sovereign_Mili

Daily life continued on the Maltese planets, the trade of various intergalactic cargo-ships made obvious on the planet of Maltense, where the thriving community of different races, species, and their newborn offspring make it a hub for culture. Here, among the white-sand beaches interspersed among the large and dense jungles slowly being filled with Xaplonius Rainbow Fruit farms, the government begins to make an effort to improve its intergalactic appeal further. It is announced that the construction of a large, government-controlled resort dome experience will begin along the shores of the planet's best island.

An island the size of a small Earth country is decided on and terraformed to have beautiful white beaches, with many parts kept untouched for the experience. The inner area of the island is overgrown with flora and filled non-lethal creatures for what is hoped to be a wondrous experience, small paths twisting through towards the center, where a tourist can take a bike ride up to the top of a long-inactive volcano.

Alien-Planet-HD-Wallpapers.jpg

These five biodomes, connected to each other by multiple suspended bullet trains and built on islands outlying the main one, encircle the most beautiful tropical island they could find on the planet. The biodomes are not used in the same sense most are, though. One biodome is built specifically with the intent of becoming a giant intergalactic aquarium and a zoo as the Order of Malta begins to send out auxiliaries to scour the markets of the galactic empires for rare and exotic creatures of land and sea.

The second biodome is kept empty, though the galaxy's greatest entertainment companies are offered the biodome to build vaarious theme parks within.

The third biodome becomes a massive hotel complex, with many different options made. This one is special, in that it is not shaped anything like a dome - it is essentially a large, sunny complex of towering hotel buildings equipped with every amenity one could think of, borderless screens in each room showing any civilian channel the Order of Malta could get receive, from news to comedy channels in languages unintelligible to the Maltese. The elevators are buffered and speed increased, making the trip from the top of the buildings that scrape the sky to the bottom less than a minute. Pools and poolside bars are built both inside the hotels and outside, infinity pools built onto the beaches of the island against the ocean itself. Restaurants line the island's boardwalks, the currently open ones mostly Human in origin but alien peoples recommended to open their own.

The fourth biodome becomes a giant mall, the size of which would make it comparable to the largest of the galactic malls. Loading bays are built in inconspicuous locations around it, with different sections of the mall dedicated to specialty goods such as bulk foodstuffs and trading cards to packaged fruit for certified corporations to purchase. A galaxy-wide message is sent out about its imminent completion, with companies of all species and occupation invited to open up stores within and people of the galaxy invited to shop at the huge mall.

Finally, the fifth biodome is built further from the island, past the horizon but with many more bullet trains connecting it to the resort and mall biodomes. Far underground are large wires connecting it to the rest of the island, as this fifth one is both the entry point to the resort island and underneath, the powerplant for it. Nuclear fusion is used to power the resort all over the island, connecting the veritable community of workers needed to man the place to the rest of the Order.

The beaches of the main island are manned by forces reminiscent of human tourist sites on Earth, with collectibles being sold in small plazas and tour guides showing the people to the island, buses run on solar energy bumbling across its roads and banana boats and rovers driving along certain areas of its beaches, groups of horse riding tours led along its side paths and beaches.

The shipyard upgrade continues construction, hope being that it will be completed within the year.

Charter Empires:
The Holy Kingdom of Eadn

People’s Agrarian Republic
Sovereign Military Order of Malta
Imperial Republic of Mankind

Mission Statement:
In order to provide human nations with a reliable supply of quality Xylorite-based energy solutions, the Organization of Xylorite Producing Empires formed in the year 2130 to meet the demands of an increasingly outward-facing galactic community. The purpose of this organization is to regulate the pricing of Xylorite and ensure that every nation receives a fair deal.

Goods and Services
- The protection of the knowledge of how to refine weapons-grade Xylorite capable of becoming a WMD and an incredibly effective orbital bombardment tool.

- Knowledge of highly efficient generators capable of powering the next generation of shields and deflectors.

- Constant research into new and exciting applications of Xylorite-based technology. Engineers from OXPE nations work around the clock to advance the interests of the organization.

- Broker large quantity Xylorite settlements with non-Human nations all across the galaxy.

To The Galactic Community
Xylorite now flows through the charter nations of this treaty in great abundance. We are open to selling to all willing customers through the O.X.E.E exchange. No Xylorite will be sold by individual Empires of this organization any longer. To all non-member states producing Xylorite, we encourage you to petition us for membership into the organization.

Year 2130 Terra, Sol Colony, Sol’s Rebirth System

Uri sits in his office along with other members of the government and ONI.

What do you mean the USA Fleet Captured our men?..” Admiral Cole demanded

Uri sighs “The Entire US Fleet warped in and engaged our troops, yes. The entire operation went their way after they sprung a trap.

Admiral Cole slams his hand on the desk “It was too quick and too perfect...they knew we were coming..they had to know.

I agree with your Admiral Cole, what would you have me do?

Dissolve SATO...it is clear we can no longer trust any Human Nations, until we figure out what happened and how that information got leaked we trust No One..

Uri sighs “We’ve devoted the needed resources to the Dominion to rebuild their Shipyard, along with the IRM. After this and we get Kalen and his troops back we can wash our hands clean of this…

Wash our hands clean!?!?” he outbursts “The United States is a disgusting rotting corpse! They fought and defended Tyrants! The Dominion is no different than 20th Century China! They kill all who get in the way!

Admiral Cole that is quite enough!” a woman speaks up from the back of the room. An aged Vira Usenko steps forward

Cole turns pale “Madam Director..I apologize for the Han Disaster..Kalen failed to do his duty!

That is because I ordered him to not do so..if he had followed your orders we would have lost all our forces and the US would never have traded them back. We aren’t the Dominion, we don’t kill our own and we most certainly do not kill innocent civilians. Is that understood?..” she speaks threateningly

Admiral Cole nods “Yes Madam Director..

Good.” she remarks “Now I have a meeting in Protorian Space and I will be leaving immediately.

Hephaestus Enterprises

All SATO-Related Merchandise MUST GO!! Seriously. It MUST go.

73LMv88.jpg

Just outside the Grand Cairo Casino, a throng of reporters had gathered. CEO Steven Penrith had been called upon to make a statement to the Hephaestus shareholders in order to calm investors and the trembling stock-market. Who was attacking what? Why were they being attacked? How? When?! Finally, the CEO walked out of the casino; with his account Phillip lumbering behind him. With his jovial laugh and wide grin, the shareholders immediately felt at ease. Steven paused for a photo opportunity in front of his podium, shooting finger-guns at the cameras—if Steve wasn’t worried, why should anyone else be?

“G’day, everyone,” he began. He leaned himself casually on the podium, giving a playful wink to a camera. “How are you all? I’m doing pretty alright, myself. Well, I mean...”

Steven leaned away from the microphone to perform a sarcastic wince. “... I am a little sad, you know? Someone’s got to feel bad for our competitors, after all!”

The crowd erupted in hearty laughter. Steven still had his larrikin sense of humour, at least.

“Nah nah. I’m just playing. There was a bit of a tussle between some of the human colonies. Namely involving a number of our associates in SATO, and a few wayward colonies near the outer-rim of the galaxy.” Steven adjusted his tie and grinned, though clearly he was more nervous than before.

“Seems that ah, due to complications and a lot of backroom negotiations SATO is now officially disbanded.” A stunned silence blanketed the crowd. The veteran salesman picked up on this as his sharp eyes scanned the people, and spun his message before the first bewildered shout could be made. “But, hey! Out with the old, and in with the new, right? We and our ah, mates, at Silver Knights have come up with the ultimate branding deal! A way to show the galaxy that Hephaestus is still the most equitable place for deals! A way to make non-aggression marketable! Today, I’m declaring the creation of the business-friendly economic and defence partnership!”

“The Free Economic Zone!”

“FEZ!”

The crowd collectively tapped their chins in thought. Snappy acronym. Good branding. Good PR. A round of polite, appeased applause reverberated throughout the gathered people.

“Yeah yeah. So ah, in short, SATO’s dead, FEZ is here, and ah...

... yep. That’s it. Have a good one, folks!”

Steven gave some more winning smiles and finger-guns, before retreating back into the casino. Phillip Narau calmly walked up to the microphone, and in his deep monotone stated;

“No further questions.” He then quickly followed his employer into the luxurious hotel.

Some shareholders were left a little confused. They had been with SATO for nearly twenty years, and the alliance had kept them safe from all comers. Now they were in a very big galaxy, and all alone as well. Maybe they could...

Actually, they were behind on work. Who cares? They had their own problems. SATO? FEZ? What was the difference? It was someone else’s problem now, and they had places to be.

And so, with neither great misery or joy, SATO died in the hearts of Hephaestus. And business went on as always.

The Protocols of F.E.Z.

(Free Economic Zone)

Within the mountains of corporate jargon, a reader can translate the following points with a dictionary, an advanced economics textbook, and a copy of The Fountainhead

1. The free market must never be constrained by government regulators. Doing so bars membership.

2. The non-aggression principle will be observed towards both members and non-members (unless hostilities are inevitable, or a very good price is offered).

3. Members will not interfere with the governments/executive boards of members or non-members.

4. Assured mutual defence in times of war.

5. All members must co-operate together to assure that public relations (PR) of the Free Economic Zone are not ruined by individual actions.

Invitation and acceptance into the Free Economic Zone is judged on a case-by-case basis.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The entirety of Hephaestus is absolutely shocked to learn that Rond Trazur is not only an experienced commander, but an actual member of the Redon royal family (his distance from the throne tastefully ignored). He and his retinue are brought back to Hades for special R&R. They receive the finest accommodations and services that any heroes could hope for. Entertainment fit for anyone’s taste was lumped on them in droves. Shareholders flocked to them like celebrities--especially Rond, which popular media referred to as the “Red Prince.” Whether or not Rond appreciated the attention was up for debate, as he was mostly preoccupied with recovering from his grievous wounds. Nevertheless, Hephaestus showed its appreciation duly, and sincerely.

Hephaestus announces yet another design contest for an “artillery weapon” to support the growing droid-army. The experiences on Tassarea showed how useful long-range fighting could be against the horde. There would always be a need for conventional arms and, since “Project: Lemon” might be concluded quite quickly, they would have more that enough time for such things.

A new frigate was delivered to Hades, with the Solarin skeleton crew departing on a transport freighter.  A crew of trained Hephaestus naval rates took up positions on the vessel. They were uncomfortable with many of the unfamiliar systems, but they had plenty of time to learn. A few, awkward bumps against the space station were somewhat embarrassing for the crew, but at least it kept the observers entertained.

This time they’re looking for any kind of world--A barren one like Hades or Grand Ares, a tropical one like that bear-planet (which Hephaestus decided not to bother dealing with) or a temperate, earth-like world. Just anything at all, really. Frustration was setting into the crew of the vessel, and it was high-time something was done about it! (-0AP)

Imperial Republic of Mankind

40k_imperial_aquila__transparent__by_fug

Location: Tassarean space, capital of Tassarea, southern continent, the frontline

It was chaos on the battlefield.

In the forests and plains of Tassarea, shots and warcries could be heard  accros the battlefield.

Humans in Imperial armor and guns stood side by side as they shot towards the menace that was approaching them.

They stood on even ground or on the bodies of the Corrupter menace.

These were horrible beings mutated into a dangerous biological killing machine which's only purpose was to kill.

Swarms of these despicable creatures were spread around the planet as the united force of humans and Tassareans fought back to keep them away from the cities.

The lines of both the Imperials and the Corrupters slowly came close together with the sounds of the armored feet of Power armor walking on the ground was heard close-by and the thunderous sound of gun fire from both the Imperials and the corrupters viciously fought each other.

Gunnery sergeant Allisandor Carrow was among these men, he was a man applauded by his commanders as strategic minded and brave though he could be rash in certain situation.

This could be seen on the battlefield as the sergeant methodically shot at any corrupters in sight and took cover behind the  bodies of the corrupters or even his own comrades who's power armored suits slowly died down as the power supply was cut and gaping bullet holes in the armor shredded into the original occupant.

Then suddenly sergeant Carrow saw as the distance between the groups were closed that the Corrupters straight up put their guns away and charged at them with their weapons wether they be real weapons or parts of their organic bodies.

As they came closer sergeant Carrow ordered his men to mount their bayonets on their guns and they shot their final few volleys towards the approaching mass of claws and teeth came closer.

Then the Imperials with their power armor and the Corrupters with their organic bodies quickly closed the distance between each other and clashed together.

Men fought beast as the men with the screaming hydraulics of their power armor pierced their Itoron bayonets into the flesh of the corrupters yet for those who took out the corrupters there were also many who were taken down by the corrupters as they bravely died fighting the corrupters until their claws pierced into their armor and into their bodies finally delivering the finishing blow.

The clash went bad, many corrupters died and for every Imperial that died there were at least two corrupters to be dragged down with them.

Yet the raw numbers and seemingly endless horde of the Corrupters just kept coming and slowly fewer and fewer of the Imperials were left remaining.

First sergeant Carrow stood together with his squad yet he saw as over the course of hours his men began being taken out by the Corrupters even as they courageously fought on.

He could see that they were growing fewer whilst the Corrupters just kept in coming and he saw how the company was starting to lose cohesion.

Then the lines slowly but surely started to break until all that were left were a few isolated group of men fighting until they were to be taken out and as only 4 of his men remained Allisandor realized that if they were going to stay there they would die.

Then he ordered all of his troops that were left remaining and once permission was given by Commander Dante he and the few remnants of the 2nd Imperial heavy infantry company gathered at a central point and were taken to the Imperial supply depot behind the frontline.

Even with this journey many of the Imperials died either by Corrupter ambushes or by dying of infection.

Yet the Imperials through heavy work and harsh trials arrived at the Imperial supply depot.

From the second company a full company with the strength of 2500 Imperials were now only a measly 23 men left reaming.

Later sergeant Carrow heard that the other regiment had also taken heavy casualties with there now only being 1250 Imperial remaining of the original 5000, victory had been won but at what cost.

June 17th, 2130

Orion, Viyter

11:30 AM

Four men lined the stage on their knees, blindfolded and hands tied behind their back. Ben paced back and forth, he stood tall shoulders back booming with confidence. His lanky frame gilded across the stage with each step in front of the gathering crowd. In his hand he held a classic weapon, it was in pristine condition. A wooden grip, chrome finish, with an engraving on it. It was a graduation gift from his father. A .45 Colt 1911 handgun.

Ben scratched his beard, and turned his back to the four men. He fixed his hat and turn it backwards, and coughed to clear his throat. “So, many of you might be wondering why these four men are up on stage here, blindfolded and why I have a handgun. These men in front of you and me are apart of the Solarian Federation. Spies for them to be specific. They betray a lot of your trust. These men friendship with you is a lie. Their identity is a lie. Everything about their life is a lie.” He’d start pacing again, now turning towards the men. He’d nod to the bodyguards to undo the blindfolds of the men as he walked back and forth placing the barrel of the 1911 on the foreheads of each man. “So today, we found out who these men were from their own government. THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT SOLD THEM OUT. They left their fate in OUR hands today. If it were me. I would execute them right here. In front of all of you. As I do not deal to kindly with snakes.” He’d laugh to himself, as he pulled the slide back to unchamber the bullet and he’d slide the 1911 back into its holster. “I am not going to kill these men today or ever. These men were betrayed just like they betrayed you. I will send them back to their beloved, trustworthy government. Show them how mercilessly we can be. However, next time I will personally kill every found spy.” As he walked off the stage the men were blindfolded and walked off as the crowd booed and roared at the men and the mercy shown by their leader.

“Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.”

-Sun Tzu, The Art of War

Yimu had always liked the axiom. Recent events, though, had made him think that perhaps the real trick was to appear to be doing one when actually doing the other. It had certainly succeeded today...in spectacular fashion.

The dusty floor of the great crater of Shiguo, once a dull gray, now was stained with red. The dead lay strewn in every direction, haphazardly mixed together: fallen Han lay next to Solarins and more commonly, Imperials. The fallen Utopians had long since been carted off, sent back home with their equipment as per the terms of their early surrender. Wise. Wiser than the stubborn Imperials at least, none of whom would be returning.

Han soldiers in tan vac-suits picked their way through the battlefield, stripping salvageable armor and weapons from the enemy. The fighting had been spectacular, or so he was told. The Dominion's armies and allies had done their jobs with impeccable timing, landing a killing blow on an already-crippled expedition. The entirety of the Han fleet perished in the effort, of course. That was what the major's brother would call "acceptable losses." Given the outcome, he wasn't sure he disagreed.

As he continued his walk to the docking port, where a shuttle awaited him, Yimu stepped over two Solarins, collapsed on top of each other, and tried to piece together how they died. They were both still facing towards the vast alien facility. When the trap had been sprung, perhaps they never even realized what was happening.

"Poor bastards," he thought to himself. Most had surrendered, but not these. These were sent to die uselessly on a barren rock halfway across the galaxy from home.

"Not uselessly," spoke a voice from just behind the major, and it was all he could do to not jump. He hadn't realized he was being followed, let alone that his inner monologue had an audience. "The invaders have brought Chaal her key."

"I thought I told you to stop doing that," said Yimu, turning to face the speaker. There were two of them: a muscular, middle-aged man and a younger woman. Yimu knew them well: Huang Jie and Wen Yang, the oldest two of the six psychics in service to the Dominion. It was Jie who had spoken, and his apology came wordlessly, as a light brush of regret passing through Yimu's mind.

"A nasty business, all the same," said Yang. "We all felt it. I thought Hanying was rather resilient for a girl her age, being around something like this."

Yimu nodded, gazing up through the damaged biodome to the debris field now floating above the base, where American ships were helping with the salvage operations. "Hanying will go far. She knows what's expected of her." Annoyance at the sentiment immediately drifted from the two pyschics, and the major shut his mouth. Nice thing about these people: they didn't mince words, so to speak.

A long silence followed, before Yimu spoke again. "She's angry with me."

"Disgusted, really," replied Jie. "With all of us."

"What should I do?"

"What we promised to do," said Yang. "And hope she changes her mind."

Another long silence followed, before the major accepted the advice. "We will have to wait and see, then," he announced, turning toward the ruined biodome's docking port. "But get this place cleaned up before I return. For her sake."

----------

As the wreckage of the annihilated SATO fleet is slowly removed from orbit, celebrations erupt across the Dominion. The military takes full credit for the victory, and parades are held nonstop for a full week, showing off captured military technology and honoring the greatest heroes of the battle of Laandaalir Triat. State media constantly plays footage of the defeated Wairen, focusing on the spectacular destruction of various ships, as well as video of prisoners being led to internment camps under armed guard. In the great plaza outside the capitol palace, a great monument is erected:

sACpCWkMvJlADoj5tdG1wVXMnZ-GkqCHxf7TJxcskbPveSwlsKAPiFmciZTRnPHQCQ4-5pl8ESD_5IiRDBWocPecQQYWO0JrkfUwJ58igpFujJy1raGfCDSGdwiWFQ0SAjeJrcxa

Depicting a Han soldier, it stands on a pedestal thirty meters tall. The figure holds a rifle in one hand, while the other points to the sky,to exactly where the moon Shiguo will appear on the same day as the battle on each lunar year. The inscription on the base reminds all who see it to never forget the Han blood spilled defending their homeland...or the true intentions of Wairen.

While the surrendered Utopians are conveyed back to the city of Huizhou for transport home, the other invaders are not so lucky. All Solarin officers are given to the custody of the United States, but a full thousand of their enlisted troops are captured and brought to Yuguo, where they are put to work in the bountiful and productive fields of Yuguo rice.

Q6NBedvp-3CGAgAbchwp4KOpOq19ObiaWPD6TqW6qz7PPB_Aq5t5eB3vtx_KvqUGoVfsBwP5E3iWcn9n9DVKG6LxEMgsmA2Nlix1VBoVidRYCrMo1KyQ3MUfVRr6oX9LPhZtXNUk

The work is character building, as Yuguo rice yields several harvests a year, increasing the amount of labor required. What’s more, most rice fields are near the equator, where the air is hot and humid, and constant rain results in deep mud. By the time building materials begin to be delivered as reparations, most of the prisoners are happy to be transferred to the cold vacuum of space to work on a new shipyard.

As additional thanks for their assistance, the Dominion gifts four hundred tons of rice to the USA, all of it planted and harvested by the imprisoned Solarin men.

The five hundred corpses of the Imperial troops, who reneged on their surrender twice, are treated with the polar opposite of dignity. Stripped of their armor and weapons, they are first paraded in front of the jeering citizens of Xin Xi’an, before being transported elsewhere on the planet, where they are piled unceremoniously in a field. A torn Imperial flag is placed atop the pile, and a live feed is sent to the Imperial Republic of the decomposition process over the next few years, with a watermark over the footage: “Thus Always to Oath Breakers.”

Immediately following the battle, there is a strong push to formally declare war on the entirety of SATO. However, as the once-great alliance collapses, its back broken and no longer able to maintain good faith between members, the Daos decide that any further insult would be redundant. The Dominion thus remains publicly silent.

----------

Despite chaotic recent events, research into expression of edited genes is ongoing. Operations had to be briefly shut down when SATO threatened to annihilate settlement on Yuguo, and as biological experiments are time-sensitive, this caused significant delay as many ongoing projects were lost. Nevertheless, the bioengineering center hopes to make progress on the project by the end of the season.

----------

Those on Yuguo who regularly pray to the moon spirit Chaal are convinced that the SATO attack was aimed at taking her glory for themselves. The message plays well among the Han, but those who follow the religion are less enthusiastic about the recent bloodshed than the general population. Nevertheless, their following and influence grows.

----------

A delegation of traders from Huizhou leaves for the PAR, bearing various agricultural products. While the nutritious Yuguo rice is brought in abundance, their main attractions are their silk and tea. Setting out to prove the superiority of Han products, they erect pavilions to each. Fine silk garments are displayed and sold, along with tapestries and rolls of the luxurious cloth.

The tea pavilion, however, is where the Han truly show their wealth. Dozens of varieties are served in ornate porcelain cups, originating from different regions of China and today farmed in different regions of the planet Yuguo. However, only one variety is submitted for judgement: the rare Keemun black tea.

kROW2RaK3DtL2jgjnu1O7aPIeBPd7goBoJ7SYF-P4ljzmYdUwB0LuXClWyro16yacCkkSVUzxht5Ea_DwPzTnLocuf7Qeo0oqniGM7GdeHOzaUbM_085_qE9A_YZm_JC8UyNPRBc

Once the greatest of all black teas on Earth, favored by royalty from Beijing to London, only a small region of Yuguo was considered suitable for its production when the Dominion settled there. As such, it remains fantastically rare and expensive, with a mere 100 tons produced per year. It is hoped that the judges will appreciate their cups of the stuff.

----------

The city of Huizhou, the only open city in the only open system in the Dominion, begins to bustle with activity. While it was originally a tiny farming community in a sea of rice fields, the arrival of Ascardian, Ceri, and Tjieran merchants quickly causes growth to skyrocket. Wealthy industrialists from Yuguo pack into the town, hoping to maximize their slice of galactic trade passing through the system. While the original inhabitants of the town are uneasy about the presence of wairen in their home, they are quickly drowned out by newcomers more interested in profit than the glory of the Dominion...at least for long enough to collect their money. By Han standards, Huizhou becomes a progressive, egalitarian city: wairen lynchings are only occasional at most, and really it’s their own fault for walking through that local neighborhood with a Han woman late at night.

The rapid social progression of Huizhou is not without a counterbalance, however: the army, riding a wave of popular support following their victory and opposed to opening the city in the first place, is allowed to station a thousand troops on the outskirts of the town, fortifying a position which they say they will hold in perpetuity. Occasionally they march patrols through the streets, in order to show the outsiders who is in charge here.

----------

As supplies are received from the Solarin Federation and Imperial Republic, Solarin POWs are put to work on a new shipyard, to replace the lost Shanghai station. This time the station will be constructed on the icy moon Lenguo, rather than in orbit: after the battle of Laandaalir Triat, the Daos are fully convinced of the value of ground-based defences. All components sent to the Dominion by its attackers are thoroughly checked for possible sabotage.

THE HOLY KINGDOM OF EADN

Progress begins and continues on the Heavy Cruiser and Carrier.

On a frozen ball adjacent to a small star, a Xylorite deposit is discovered. A few unremarkable gas giants are also discovered. These are both in the immediate vicinity of the colonial al’Noor system.

United Colonial Initiative

All operations regarding the colonial settlement on the UCI’s new planet go as smoothly as one could plan for. After a few weeks of hard work, the UCI has established its first colony and supplies slowly begin to move back and forth between the two settlements. Nothing curious to report.

After extensive testing on the newfound compound, the researchers would find that it is more dense and durable than both steel and titanium when refined. As the study nears its conclusion, some suggest testing its compatibility with steel in the form of an alloy. This proves alloy proves to be wildly stronger than the base compound, and wildly stronger than steel or titanium. An incredible breakthrough.

The first frigate leaves the shipyard completed while the second meets its halfway point in production as the shipyard workers break for the New Year.

United Canadian Front

The two corvettes leave the shipyard by the end of the year. No problems to report during their construction.

Aside from finding many resources recognizable to the Canadians from the Sol system, the probes would indicate strange new findings from compounds not recognizable on the periodic table. Indeed, one planet near the edge of the solar system would be relatively abundant in a dense black metalloid foreign to the Canadians while a moon nearby Jardun III would be rich in a strange, crystalline mineral with an odd hue. Further investigations would need to be conducted as to the usefulness of these resources.

Higher grades weapons research goes relatively well. (I can’t really work with you without more details as to the concepts of these weapons. Assume it goes well, just RP out the details of the weapons).

People's Agrarian Republic

The Redons respectfully decline the P.A.R’s request to receive force blades. They state, rather bluntly, that Redon craftsmanship will not be tossed around the galaxy carelessly. More trust would need to be established between the two nations before such a notion could be considered.

Production of the jump-pack suits rattles off without any sort of issue. The soldiers of the P.A.R are well equipped as more of these suits roll of the assembly lines of the Republic with each passing day.

After a year of hard work, the colony ship sets off from the Shipyard over Utopie. A shining beacon of hope, Utopians from all walks of life are anxious to purchase tickets and land on the new colony, ready to start a new life elsewhere in the stars.

Prior to the christening of the colony ship, two corvettes would roll out of the shipyard and join the Utopie fleet; one in great need of reinforcements it seems.

The First Tassaran Rifles successfully make the trek to the Tassaran capital world. Once there, they are entrenched with several other volunteer companies who make up the majority of that world's defense while the main armies fight the Corruptors in contested space.

(Will rule on Farmer’s Market in separate post)

Silver Knight Corporation

The training program sees a great amount of success and the officers helming the project seem optimistic that the data gained in the first battle against the Corruptors has proved invaluable in training the next generation of soldiers in succeeding against the great threat posed to the Corporation. However, only a real engagement will prove whether or not these officers predictions prove to be the truth.

The new mining infrastructure facilities face no challenges in their construction on New Gibraltar and are completed by the end of the year, right on schedule.

Project Lancelot gets its resources (I’ll assume you spoke to Czar, otherwise, contact me or Czar).

United States Of Arcturus

Following the resounding success of the operation defending the Han Dominion, the morale of most people in the Arcturus system are high. True sons and daughters of liberty, small groups with very loud voices begin to quietly put political pressure once again on an independence movement to remove the shackles of the Keerim Imperium. For now, these voices remain small.

Built with an incredible patriotic fervour, the two destroyers are christened and join the ever-growing U.S. fleet by the end of the year.

After a few weeks of intensive scanning on the moon of Iris, a small Xylorite deposit is found near the moon’s southern pole. Several more familiar resources are also found.

For several months in 2130, the intergalactic mission to Andromeda appears to be going according to plan. Within the first two months, the ship breaks out of the Milky Way and presses onward toward Andromeda. As the ship gets about a third of the way to Andromeda, the researchers onboard begin to report small equipment-based anomalies though the ship stays in contact with the U.S.A. These reports are largely dismissed as an issue of distance and fatigue on the end of the ship. It would make the journey, the crew concluded, but it may be a difficult way home. Their evaluation proved fatally inaccurate as around the halfway mark of the voyage, the vessel would lose communications with Arcturus. The fate of the ship unknown as no distress calls were made. It seems as though it was there one moment and suddenly… gone?

In regards to the Lost Colonies, about 5,000 citizens choose to return to the U.S.A, including roughly 500 Human-Tjieran.

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta

By the year 2131, the Maltese shipyard is capable of constructing Frigates, Destroyers, and Support Carrier class ships. A great achievement for the growing military order!

The construction on the resort moves along with incredible efficiency. By the year’s end, most of the main structures are completed and ready for tourists to visit. (Basically, if you’re done putting AP to it, it’s done). Once completed, it would begin to attract many different tourists from many different galactic forces.

The mall begins to attract tourists from all over the galaxy with news of its completion. A fair amount of wealth also begins to flow through the new mall. Some aliens even find the Order’s planet rather accommodating, choosing to stay as residents permanently.

Some potential contractors come with offers to the Maltese, the most prominent of which feature some rather outlandish materials. Contractors from the Grand Alliance offer an elaborate fantasy park centered around their equivalent of a classical era. The Trialton offer a similar concept. Uniquely, the Redon offer a concept for an action-adventure park featuring several Redon heroes that romanticize the Redon and their history.

Several species of exotic wildlife are collected, though they don’t come cheap (Czar can elaborate, I’m sure).

Some clients are disappointed in the discontinuation of Xylorite shipments, by find that this is merely because of the creation of O.X.E.E, of which the Maltese are a Charter Member.

(Farmer’s Market post sold separately)

The Solarin Federation

Project Prometheus Jump Drive abandoned while resources flow to the Silver Knights uninterrupted for their own top secret project (Assuming details PM’d to Czar, if not, message me for assistance, same for Project Lancelot).

The resources of the Solarin Federation are reluctantly turned over to the Han Dominion towards the reconstruction of their shipyard. Morale sharply declines in the Solarin territories as news of such resource loss spreads to every corner of their space.

The construction of the Defense Station begins without any trouble, resources are moved to space with relative ease and no production shortages are noted. The first weapons systems are online by the end of the year, whether or not the Solarin Federation wishes to continue with the project is up to their government.

The Archivar meeting takes place.

Many clients of the Solarin Federation are disappointed by their failure to meet their Xylorite obligations, turning to new contractors instead. These spurned buyers will not forget such a sudden end to their supply chain.

ONI conducts Operation Census.

The Tassarans express great concern in the withdrawal of the Solarin fleet, however once the circumstances are explained to them they express their regrets. The Tassarans warn the much younger nation of the volatility of younger star-faring nations, and encourage the Solarin to learn from their mistakes just as the great entities that make up the Southern Milky Way have done.

Hephaestus Enterprises

The colonial freighter rolls of the shipyard’s production lines by the end of the year. To the delight of many a money-grubbing member of the Board, thousands rush to purchase tickets in order to start a new life on a distant planet… if any are available that is.

On Grand Ares, a great deposit of Itoron is discovered after much of the planet’s surface is haphazardly ripped apart.

The Tithonus Droids march to their inevitable deaths, alongside their Alastor Droid brothers who also march to their inevitable deaths.

In the immediate vicinity of the Hades system, a beautiful Garden world is found. Massive and well inside its star’s habitable zone, the massive planet is a sort of mega-earth. With two large moons and 5 oceans, the planet is about 60% water while the rest is land. Temperate like Earth, the planet is lush and diverse in its flora and fauna. Despite this though, no intelligent life appears to have yet been established on the planet.

The energy weapons market seems rather difficult to get into these days, with the nations of the galaxy keeping what they have close to their chest… for now. They’d rather not their weapons be used in the slaughter of humans, or… at least not by other humans.

Imperial Republic of Mankind

The resources are sent to the Han Dominion to help rebuild their Shipyard. Like the Solarin, the defeat and surrendering of valuable resources strikes a significant blow to I.R.M morale. Damage control conducted by the Imperium seems to at least assuage some civilian concerns.

The new frigate rolls out of the shipyard, joining a somewhat depleted Imperial fleet.

The children are well cared for and begin to pick up on the language of the Imperium (this wasn’t yet explained to me, this is all I’ll write lest I totally screw something up, talk to czar I suppose).

Power armor from the Tassaran conflict is repaired.

(Farmer’s Market separate!)

Refer to the first section for the success of the propaganda. The Imperium does achieve success in creating general hatred and mistrust of the Han.

Free Human Technocracy

The carrier is completed in the shipyards of Eadn. With the christening of the new carrier, the Sultan himself phones the leader of the Technocracy to congratulate him on its completion and the continued benefit to their relationship. The carrier is then sent over to the F.H.T’s home system.

The Xylorite power plant is researched and conceptualized first, since no SATO nation actually had such a thing (to my knowledge).

Fleet upgrade goes as planned, as does the ONI agent exchange.

The Han Dominion

The workers of the Han work with great patriotic fervor following their incredible success, the biodome being repaired by the end of the year completely. The same patriotic fervor is put into the construction of the new shipyard, as well as ensuring nothing occurs to sabotage its construction. On several occasions, random Han are pulled from the assembly of the shipyard and randomly accused of spying. They are never heard from again.

The research into genetic engineering continues without a hitch, some new breakthroughs in gene sequencing are made by enhancing techniques established in medical practices on Earth.

The U.S.A citizens celebrate the arrival of the delicious Han rice crop.

Events

Karass warships pour into once powerful bastions of the Corruptor Dominion, cutting through the Corruptor defenses relentlessly. They effectively block the Corruptors from continuing their advance on Tassera with Karass fleet commanders relentlessly targeting Corruptor strongholds along the contested fringes. Newly controlled worlds are populated with Karass armies, but some are garrisoned by the armies of the Human Remnants who committed ground troops to the battle.

To the South, the cogs of the Keerim war machine once again begin to spin. Small strike groups are sent to the fringes of Trialition space, engaging with their piecemeal border forces. They largely take them by surprise, but do not plunge deeper into their space. This seems strikingly similar to their first incursions into Skellar and Libellan space, with Trialition high command growing increasingly worried of a full scale invasion, they begin to mobilize.

The Zykra Engineers, having done good business in the Southern Galaxy, return to their headquarters in the mysterious North.

With the establishment of the Eadni colonies on the planets of Hussein and Idris, the High Court discusses their next step forward. Trade and prosperity had been established among several nations spanning the southern galaxy and the Holy Kingdom of Eadn found itself in a rather advantageous position. As such, the Sultan called an assembly of the High Court to discuss just how the Holy Kingdom would maintain this newfound prosperity.

“If we wish to maintain our newfound position of power among our human neighbors, we must intervene in the Corruptor conflict and flex our muscle as a warning to those who might attempt to incur upon our most Holy Space. You already saw the warning from the Chinese pretender… there are those out there that might wish to destroy us.” Abdullah Wakim, Minister of Commerce, stood rather unopposed in this session of the High Court with the Admiral Ali al’Noor away dealing with an anomaly on the edge of Eadni space. As such, he felt emboldened in being more vocally active in the Imperial Chambers.  What he failed to expect though was that Captain Jabril Kamal would actively defend the interests of his commanding officer.

“We’ve spent so much time and resources building up the Eadni fleet, to engage the Corruptors now without having a completed Strike Group would be foolish and irresponsible. We must continue to be patient. Just because we’ve now embraced the galactic stage does not mean that we must immediately stretch ourselves thin in an attempt to make friends. We have our trade deals, let us secure them and continue preparing to defend our home from potential hostiles.” Many of the more senior members of the High Court nodded in their approval of the statements made by the Eadni Naval Captain. Despite his junior status on the council, many respected the Eadni Navy and what the institution stood for.

Sensing his grasp on the room slipping, the Minister of Commerce quickly replied; Captain Kamal, I must ask to re-evaluate your opinion. Just look at the prosperity that came with moving out into the galactic landscape. We’ve gained more resources than any of us could imagine, and now have weapons and technology making us capable of defending ourselves. We should continue to co-operate with our allies, not shut them off.” With a short smile, the Captain looked over the young Mr. Wakim. He couldn’t help but shake his head, standing up and appealing directly to the Sultan.

“The Minister of Commerce confuses my desire to continue our build up with a lack of desire to continue embracing our galactic partners. I merely oppose entering the conflict with the Corruptors until we’re able to field the Strike Group as proposed by Admiral al’Noor. We can continue our relationships and partnerships with other nations, but Sultan I beg you not to engage in such a devastating conflict before we are capable.” With this, the Captain bowed his head and sat down. The Sultan looks over the High Court, letting the room sit in silence for a moment before he raised his hand to speak.

“Gentlemen, I see both of your points I respect them greatly. Despite the differences in your opinion, I can tell you are both truly devoted to the cause of our Holy Kingdom. For this, I commend the both of you. Now, Minister Wakim, I understand your desire to put us on a pedestal to the galactic community, but why must we do so by putting our fleet and the Eadni people at risk? I must side with Captain Kalam and the Department of the Navy. I respect Admiral al’Noor’s opinion and his desire not to move forward without a carrier strike group. We shall not do so until the completion of such.” The Sultan smiled, looking over the members of his court. He nods a bit, signaling that his decision was final. Several other decisions are deliberated in the court, but none of such pressing matters.

[ 3 AP] Work continues on the first carrier of the Eadni Fleet. Named after legendary Ottoman fleet admiral Hayreddin Barbarossa, it is to be equipped with the most advanced equipment that the Imperial Eadni Navy can manufacture. Substantial amounts of space are left for eventual equipment upgrades.

[3 AP] Simultaneously, work continues on the IEN Drawn Sword of Islam, a Dragut-Class destroyer that would act as the backbone of the Eadni fleet. This fleet build up is part of the construction of the Kingdom’s first Carrier Strike Group.

[1 AP] Investments are made into the propping up of industry on the planets of Hussein and Idris, in order to promote immigration to these planets.

[0 AP] With the announcement by the Department of the Navy regarding the establishment of a specialized strike group designed for system based superiority, the IEN saw fit to establish a fighting force capable of planetary command and control operations. As such, the IEM, the Imperial Eadni Marines, were established and based off of a remote, icy moon at the edge of the Ibrahim system.

Hephaestus Enterprises

Book Your Ticket to Aphrodite Today!

neEGJrj.jpg

To understand the method by which Hephaestus Enterprises created its war-machines would require a person to understand a bit of their history.
Hephaestus once had a small number of military subsidiaries absorbed from its purchased nations on Earth. They weren't nearly comparable to the weapons industries that other countries brought to bare, but being amateurish hadn't stopped the Corporation before. Seeing markets to exploit in Europe they made a large (and risky) investment on the sub-continent, but found themselves outclassed and out-competed by older, established industries. Sales were very low, and the losses were near total. The subsidiaries were liquidated just before the Sun Announcement, and no weapons manufacturers made it to Hades. Therefore the Corporation let anyone offer designs. Everyone was an amateur, now. When the Board offered cash-prizes and manufacturing deals for good designs, many subsidiaries threw their hat in the ring.

There were three things Hephaestus was looking for in an artillery weapon. One, speed—after seeing the Corruptor stealth-units exterminate the elite Silver Knights Special Forces, the Corporation did not want to risk fixed artillery. Two, simplicity—the corporation was not willing to waste money on war materials they couldn’t quickly replace. Expensive itoron shells were not an option. Three, coverage—the hordes of Corruptors would require a significant blast-radius. Accuracy was not important, only consistent, unrelenting fire. An up-and-coming transportation company brought the most bizarre design imaginable to the table.

Hoe0TFW.jpg

The “Eurus” Mobile Rocket Artillery Vehicle; a two-wheeled, missile-armed, strangely-proportioned war-machine. It certainly stood out, if nothing else. Armed with thirty rocket-pods and a forward-mounted, twin-linked Ares II Heavy Laser, it had projected speeds of up to 120 kilometres-per-hour. Its unusual wheel-angling system would theoretically allow it easier movement on multiple forms of terrain, while not necessitating tank-tracks. Its main weapon seemed almost like a relic—conventional, unguided, high-explosive missiles, aimed manually by human pilots. The missiles themselves were cheap though, and launched en masse. Prototyping and testing aside, the Board decided to take a chance.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The continuing presence of the Karass fleet in Corruptor space is met with a resounding silence from the Corporation. The Board does not appear to acknowledge their involvement at all, even when asked directly. All the Board members appear interested in is completing their contract with the Tassarans. Why they prefer to be silent on the subject is yet to be seen.

Little Johnny Penrith turns five years old, and Steven is noticeably less involved in corporate affairs. He leaves his top three confidants to make the knitty-gritty decisions of Hephaestus. He seems to be interested in the development of his surprise son, and gives him a thorough business education. He takes him to see the very smallest of factories and micro-subsidiaries on Hades, and even lets him make his own little synth-lemonade stand on a street corner outside of Central Administration building (much to the cooing admiration of shareholders).

The new colony ship is docked while seats are bid on by prospective colonists. This newest planet (named 'Aphrodite') is different from the last two, as it is the first planet claimed by the Corporation with a breathable biosphere. The mostly ignored agricultural subsidiaries rush to get a foothold on the new world. Among them is tourism-mogul Milly Price, clearly prepared for a grand project that has been in the works for some time.
