People's Agrarian Republic

*The prospectors were finally ready. They had their own small freighter built for them. Loaded with the needed equipment, crew, and new scanner droids. It was up to these few to expand the riches of the PAR. They were desperately needed right now. Any edge in modern times is a small blessing. Even something so simple as a new type of rock. The team will start with surveying the capital system. From there they will move to the recent colony's sector. If nothing of value is find, they will continue their search further abroad. It is hoped the new scan droids will make it far easier.

**The shield progress had set off remarkably well. After serious debates, the next step is plotted. Utopie did not want it's ships to have to constantly choose. Shields and weapons should be workable in unison. So for now they will continue on the multi layered system. Meanwhile they seek to make a generator capable of such a heavy task. It'll run off refined xylorite of course. All secondary powers will be run off the conventional powering. The generator will be for the sole task of keeping the multi layered shields powered.

On the desert colony, not much of an approach is made. It was there to merely furnish the capital with supplies. The colonist will set their town up in the heart of a mountain range. In a shaded valley, very close in resemblance to Jatorak. All agriculture will be grown in doors. Using lasers, massive plots of land will be carved into the mountains. From there raised beds and hydroponic tanks line it. Lights will simulate the sun, giving all crops their specific day/night cycle. No heavy commitment of resources is made, unless the Prospectors scan proves useful.

***Opportunities have presented themselves. There's a pressing need for a better generator. Mobile shield droids were built around such things. It is hoped with new improvements the droids will run better. The goal is to make it so the droids do not have to dig in to activate shields. The PAR seeks to make a truly 'mobile' shield droid. A better generator is again sought after.

Orion, Viyter

“Click… Click… Click… God ****” Ben struggled lighting his cigarette on his balcony atop the mountains of Viyter, “This damn thing.. Won’t light..” suddenly a hand grabbed the cigarette and the lighter from his unsuspecting mouth and hands..

A laugh could soon be heard from the guest, “Here! Turn your back or cover it silly!” she’d hand him back the lit cigarette, not before inhaling it and blowing the smoke out. As she blew it out she turned and leaned over the edge of the balcony, a beautiful waterfall, poured over the mountain about a mile down. The city of Orion bustled down below and for miles and miles beyond.. “It’s growing so fast… Just look at the new power plant it is absolutely magnificent..”

“Yes it is.. Hopefully, we can gather enough Xylorite from the O.X.E.E to power it for years to come..” he’d let out a deep sigh after taking a hit from the cigarette.. “This will give us enough time to increase our stockpile in oil and solar energy just incase we need too..” he’d laugh “We are also sending off another colony ship.. Two planets this time.” he’d hold the cigarette back out to her.

She’d shake her head, “I am good.. One hit will keep me buzzed for sometime now.” she’d chuckle, then her face would get serious “Are you not afraid of stretching us thin? I mean, how many are you sending to each colony? Are they going to be full colonies?” she’d turn her head and look at him, her Da’nor features showing as her eyes switched back and forth and the three dots gleamed in the approaching sunset..

Ben would nod “I see your concerns.. But we won’t be..” he’d take another puff before speaking again, “One planet will be dedicated to our science and engineering department.. It will keep them safe from spies. Unlike our military complex over on Kioboos. We will actually focus development of this planet. Now for the other planet.. We plan on having that one as a mining colony and a prison world..” he’d quickly say the last part and change the topic, “Now we will also see an expansion here at home.. I plan on having a train system now.. Expanding through the world as it will eliminate unneeded consumption of oil.” he’d cough a little bit before ashing his cigarette and flicking it off the edge of the balcony.. “I also have plans for our military, but that is going to take some cooperation between government and corporation…” he’d laugh as the two walked inside..

The Solarin Federation

Year 2132 Terra, Sol Colony, Sol’s Rebirth System

dcc6577db28e32421bae41ae2d7134d7.png

The Solarin Federation continues as it was, ever vigilant and forward bound. The people of the Federation were certainly disheartened by the losses in recent years. But the war wasn’t over, the true war with the Corruptors.

As such the Federation Council begins devoting massive amounts of resources once again to expanding it’s naval power. As a new trio of Centurion Class Frigates are put into construction, Military Developers and Scientist work with much effort to improve on railgun technology. Which is considered the heart of the Federation Navy.

Meanwhile on the front line with the Tassarans, while the Federation’s Navy licks its wounds and grows in strength they aren’t abandoning efforts into the war whatsoever. It is assumed the Tassaran’s are aiding in the Offensive to a degree. The Federation’s expensive and new Prototype Nemesis Interceptor Fighters are sent to the frontline’s under Tassaran Command for Field Testing. Hoping that these new nimble fighters can prove a nuisance for Corruptor Fighters.

Hephaestus Enterprises

Prices SLASHED on Missiles!!!

h6fzlIp.jpg

The Hephaestus marketing department advertised the planet Aphrodite as "the most beauteous orb to grace the galaxy." Rond wasn't all that convinced. He had seen a dozen worlds with just as pleasant biospheres. Big subsidiaries were pumping money into a grandiose resort, set on the planet's equatorial beaches. The project's scope was monumental, but the lead subsidiary was dogged in their drive to turn the planet into the ultimate luxury getaway, for only a fraction of the regular price.

Rond rubbed his eyes--his own thoughts were beginning to mirror the incessant advertisements played on Hades.

He was procrastinating, of course. He desired a little more time before he had to go and face the scientists and engineers working on their newest toy, the "Eurus" artillery vehicle. Having seen some pictures of the Eurus' design, he was not hopeful. With a sigh, he zipped up his fly and marched out of the bathroom.

Outside, his two Royal Guard stood stoically on each side of the ‘port-a-potty' door. They were unwilling to leave his side at any point, and it was beginning to make Rond feel paranoid. Could he not be trusted to relieve himself without without injury? Perhaps they feared a Corruptor incursion infiltrating through the toilet bowl, and striking his-

"Dad! Dad! Look!" A voice cried, tearing Rond's attention away from his moping. Barely at waist-height, a small human child hopped up and down in front of him frantically pointing with wide eyes and a matching grin. "It's the Red Prince! The Red Prince!"

"So it bloody is, little Johnny!" A short, mustachioed human quickly rushed towards Rond with an outstretched hand. "Good to meet you at last, mate!" The human hand-shake was a gesture he was still not used to. Still, he had grasped the basics of it after 'shaking' the hand of everyone he met on Hades. Many executives seemed adamant that a shareholder’s efficacy could be judged solely on their ability to grasp another’s hand. It was hard to argue with them, considering how far the Corporation had come.

The short man grasped Rond’s hand and shook it twice with a firm grip. “Penrith’s the name, mate! Steven Penrith! CEO of Hephaestus! Your employer, remember?” A round of laughter from observing shareholders quickly made Rond feel self-conscious. Steven flashed his winning smile to those around before taking a step back. “Come with me, mate! We’ve got a seat in the nicest tent. They’ve got real tea there. Imported! The good stuff! Once we get the recipe down we’ll probably grow our own around here somewhere.” Rond momentarily pondered if tea had ‘recipes’ before following on, flanked by his guards.

The testing ground was a vast, emerald valley that stretched hundreds of kilometres around. Pre-fab buildings were erected next to one-another housing scientific equipment, reporters, engineers, and finally a refreshments tent. Three, floral armchairs were arranged on a thick, homely rug beneath a Hephaestus-blue open-air tent. Three butlers with a multitude of refreshments stood by the entrance as Steven, Johnny, Rond, and the two royal guard marched beneath it.

“Sit down, mate! Let me tell you about this new project.” Steven dropped into his armchair with a sigh-- momentarily showing his age-- before his smile returned. “See, the engineers reckoned a fast, cheap artillery unit would be damn useful for you boys on the front. A manned one, too! First non-droid weapon to make it into combat. A Hephaestus first! Here, Johnny, lets get you some lunch, hey?”

The child hopped up and down on his chair while talking to one of the attending butlers. “Can I have sandwich, please?”

Steven folded his arms, and tutted. “Sonny, what did I tell you when talking to the 'help'?”

“Don’t say ‘please’ unless you respect them?”

“That’s right, matey. ‘Please’ and ‘thank-yous’ are for important clients or big-whigs you don’t want to annoy. Now, what do you say to the server?”

Johnny furrowed his little eyebrows and hoisted up his chin proudly. “Grab me a sandwich, would you mate? Cheers.”

With a loud laugh, Steven reached over and ruffled the boy’s hair. “That’s my boy! You see that, Rond? A true-blue Aussie, right there. He’ll make one hell of a CEO, I reckon!”

Rond pondered what ‘Aussie’ meant. The humans of Hephaestus had far too many colloquialisms to keep up with. He assumed it was praise of some sort. “Will the test begin soon, Mr Penrith? I do not wish to sound rude, but I’d like to return t-”

“Yeah yeah, Rond, mate. It’ll be starting soon. First, our tea. Go get us two cups, would you mate? Cheers.” Steven waved away another butler dismissively as he offered synth-wine and a plate of lamingtons. He began squinting off into the distance in thought. “Quite a performance from you on Tassarea, Trazur. You’re good at what you do. Professional. I respect a professionals.”

The butler returned with a silver platter, bearing a porcelain teapot and two cups with saucers. “Would have been nice if you told us about your ah…” Steven glanced up at the two royal guards looming nearby warily. “... connections to the Redon leadership. It would’ve made good branding.” Steven watched as the butler poured the black tea slowly, holding the porcelain with a delicate grip.

Rond shuffled in his armchair uncomfortably. He’d hoped that the Board would ignore his royal lineage. He especially hoped that the CEO wouldn’t pay any attention to it. He absolutely, especially had hoped he would never have to meet the CEO. Knowing Hephaestus, he could only imagine how far ‘good branding’ would go. They’d probably make toys in his likeness.

“What the hell is this garbage?” Rond’s attention snapped back to Steven. The CEO was staring at his cup with a wince. “Christ, it tastes like mud! Where did we get this from?” The butler holding the teapot nervously approached the three. “It originates from the ‘Han Dominion,’ Mr Penrith.”

“The Hun Dominion? I thought the Romans killed them. Bah! Nevermind. Throw this piss out and send the rest to Eddy Armathwaite. The pommy bastard will probably love it.” Steven slumped in his armchair and glanced over to Johnny, who stared at him with wide eyes.

“Don’t tell your mum that you heard me say that, alright, kiddo?”

Rond regarded the two with bemusement. The Hephaestus executives lacked the class and wisdom he had come to expect from the leaders of nations. This was the end result of a corporate state--buffoons paying experts to do the hard work for them. If only he went to Silver Knights instead, he might be part of a dignified fighting force...

Then again, they weren't paid as much.

An approaching rumble caught everyone’s attention; engineers and researchers rushed past the tent. “I believe the vehicles are approaching, Mr Penrtih.” Stated Rond, dryly. Steven clapped his hands together and wheezed out a short laugh.

“Fantastic! Get a load of these little beauties, Rond!”

Three of the bizarre Eurus vehicles barrelled past the tents and buildings at high speeds, while the employees frantically scribbled down notes and chattered excitedly to one another. The vehicles slowed and trundled back and lined themselves up before the tent. Hatches on top of the central compartments opened, and three pilots stuck their heads out to answer questions from the engineers. The systems would need to be scrutinised heavily before the Eurus would be allowed on a battlefield. They were designed to avoid combat with Corruptors with superior speed, then launch barrages of rockets towards enemy emplacements when safely out of range.

4RUY1xB.jpg

It looked utterly ridiculous. How hard would it have been to add two extra wheels? Then it could at least move with dignity. The designers (from a civilian transport company, no less) maintained that two wheels lead to less traction on the ground, and therefore higher speeds. Rond was no physicist, but he questioned this assertion heavily.

“Oi!” Steven waved towards the people flocking around the Eurus’, grumbling audibly the whole time. “Get to the live-fire test, already!” Steven turned to Rond with a sly smile. “Check this out, ‘Red Prince.’ It’s like fireworks.”

The scientists and engineers scurried away while the pilots shouted commands and dropped down into their hatches. As the missile pods swivelled to the north, Steven began to rant.

“You know how much those missile cost? ******* twenty-five credits a pop! We could fill up a whole freighter with the things and it wouldn’t even match a miner’s annual salary!” Some shouts from the researchers heralded the fire-test. With a hissing, deafening roar, ninety rockets thundered from their launcher-tubes off into the near distance. Great plumes of explosive fire erupted around a far-off patch of shrubs and trees. Native creatures scattered away from the noise, and black smoke wafted up from the charred ground.

Rond imagined the corruptors burning in the fire of a single, three-hundred missile barrage. He imagined how many of his men might have lived on Tassarea, had he artillery support.

Suddenly, he didn’t mind the vehicle’s appearance any more.

The belt of the Arcturus system was now abuzz, the recent discovery of Itoron, common throughout the belt meant something new for the United States, coupled with the discovery of Xyrolite on the icy moon of Iris, they would no longer have to rely on outside sources for their rare minerals, this boon was one that would surely profit and further US interests.

Several catapult operators made their way through the hanger as the sounds of hustle and bustle filled the massive hangar of the USS Valley Forge, seven pilots and their group commander stood in line, they were all apart of carrier air wing one, sixth strike fighter squadron, also known as the ‘Falling Falcons’ in front of the captain they were there for one reason and one reason only “Who in gods name do you think you people are?” The captain boomed, the CAG stood next to him peering down at his shoes.

Several machines hummed as they performed diagnostics on the eight F-92c’s behind the pilots. “Sir if I-” the CAG was cut off by the captain “No you may not, you are air group commander, not THE commander.” The pilots of the Falling Falcons stood at attention not answering the captain questions, their ‘buzzing’ of the aircraft control tower was one of great controversy. The captain pointed to two pilots “Beatnik, Gosling on me.” The captain began walking away as the two pilots followed him. They went through a small hatch as they strode down the corridor, several enlisted sailors stood to the side and saluted as the trio continued forth, coming to an elevator they boarded and rode it up, stopping at the captain's office they walked in. The captain sat down as he eyed the two pilots, “Mountain Lion was my first choice, but the last flight messed him up real good.” The Captain looked between the two of them as he read off the record. “Five tower flybys, six incident reports, striking a superior officer” Beatnik interrupted “He deserved it.” The Captain glared as he continued “and one Admiral's daughter” The captain placed the file on the desk. “Penny Benjamin?” Gosling asked, Beatnik shrugged. The Captain stood up  “Don't screw around with me Beatnik. You're a hell of an instinctive pilot. Maybe too good. I'd like to bust your butt but I can't. I got another problem here. I gotta send somebody from this squadron to Iris. I gotta do something here, I still can't believe it. I gotta give you your dream shot! I'm gonna send you up against the best. You two characters are going to Top Gun.”

The Han Dominion

Spring, HSC 4

Determined, loyal, and enjoying a moment of peace, the Han continue to march forward into the future. Keerim and Corrupters alike are far from Dominion space, and preoccupied. Besides, why would the government mention such things to its citizens? To the vast majority of the population on Yuguo, Wairen are a distant, nebulous threat, and one which the Dominion is working tirelessly to hold at bay. So they go about their business in the dense, rainy city of Xin Xi’an, knowing that each ounce of discipline they squeeze out of themselves advances their cause. The weak and the lazy are pruned regularly as usual, and the Jinywiwei soon finds some use for them under closer supervision, where their personal vices can no longer make them useless to society.

Under Shi Lin’s guidance, bioengineering research strides forward toward making alterations on living subjects. The process remains unreliable, but already the research center has delivered more than adequate proof of concept to the Daos, who have rewarded it with all the resources it needs to bring the project to a successful conclusion in the near future. Possible applications of the technology are being suggested by every branch of government, but director Shi wards them off, saying that it is not nearly ready yet.

Further research takes place in a joint project with the United States of Arcturus: having received overtures from the American government, some of the more amiable Dominion officials are able to persuade the Dao Wu and Dao Er to obtain resources for the proposed project TARP. The Dao Yi is the main opponent: it fears that due to the USA’s subservience to the Keerim, cooperation with them is dangerous and may draw the Imperium’s attention south. Nevertheless, the two proponents are able to stall allocation to other programs until the council finally acquiesces to their wishes.

In the wake of this showdown behind closed doors, the Dao Yi elects to move its base of operations off Yuguo. General Cheng has by this time already prepared an entirely military expedition to the sector east of the Shaanxi system, and is glad to have the army’s most stalwart supporter  join him. By the end of the year, ten thousand soldiers board a colony ship and warp out of the Dominion’s home system to establish more autonomous operations elsewhere. None of them know what awaits them when they arrive, but each bears the fanatical determination found in all Han soldiers: wherever they land, they will make it theirs, or die trying.

Despite their best efforts, the Jinyiwei find themselves frustrated in their attempts to bring the normal Dominion discipline to the port city of Huizhou. Still riding a tide of public ssupport and carrying a deep dislike of the secret police, the military continues to assert its authority over the settlement, blocking every one of the agency’s attempted actions. The side effects show immediately: with rapid growth and little low-level supervision, Huizhou quickly becomes a chaotic jungle of high-rise apartments and warehouses, blending together as if most of the city is a single building. The alleys are so small in comparison, and the infrastructure so poor, that even in broad daylight the ground level of much of the city receives next to no light, while days-old rainwater continually drips down from the higher levels. Street gangs roam the densest areas with impunity, become a de facto branch of goverment themsleves.

article-0-12EF32BB000005DC-209_964x618.j

The Silver Knight Company’s request to lease a compound in this wretched hive is soon granted by the local government: they will be allowed to run their operations on a lot close to the center of the city. The central districts surround the city’s spaceport, and while they are not exactly a beacon of civilization themselves they are at least kept to some basic building codes, so as to not endanger visiting foreigners. The Silver Knight compound is to be on the very edge of these districts, where the streets become narrow and the structures begin to rise higher.

In negotiations with the Dominion, the Silver Knight company soon discovers that the Han’s trade desires with them are predictable: they want weapons. Proceeds from the tea trade are to be immediately put back into the purchase of xylorite torpedoes, along with any other novel weaponry the company can offer them. In addition, the local government of Huizhou offers a contract to the corporation: the  traders of the city feel that the Dominion military may have a tendency to be overly harsh towards their customers, and they would like to contract the mercenaries to help police the central districts of the city. There would also be a provision in the contract whereby the company could be called upon for operations in the denser, more chaotic parts of the town.

On the ice moon Lenguo, orbiting Yuguo, operations are underway to further expand the Han shipyard. No complications have arisen.

The delegation to the PAR farmer’s meet is unconcerned about the German ultra-rare tea. When the subject is brought up, they simply reply that their fathers left the variety on Earth for a reason. The tea was only ever popular because of a myth involving supposed “medicinal qualities,” and was vastly overrated. To anyone who asks, they comment that it’s sad that the Germans have been duped by such obvious fantasy, and invite the asker to try some real quality product, from the paradise of Yuguo.

Imperial Republic of Mankind

40k_imperial_aquila__transparent__by_fug

Location: Novam Domum, industrial district, warehouse

Joshua Smith was not a man that would stand out in a crowd.

He seemed as regular as a person could be, he had normal jeans, shoes and shirt and to the untrained eye he would seem to be a normal person.

Yet those trained to truly see a person could see with his body language and eyes that he was no normal person and was rather shady.

This was true, Joshua Smith was the leader of a local gang of drug dealers called the harbingers.

This group had been established around 12 years AIM (After Imperial founding, the unofficial calendar in the IRM)  and had managed to mostly stay hidden.

For now.

Joshua was looking over the men working in the warehouse on top of the raised platform from which he could see all that was going on inside the factory.

There were around a dozen guards standing guard and a few dozen men working on processing the cocaine plants into the good stuff. Joshua took pride in knowing that he was the largest drug dealer and one of the large boys on the small criminal sector of the IRM.  He sold regular amounts of cocaine and other drugs to the poorer parts of society who had a low income and were in a bad state emotionally taking advantage of them. From this Joshua gained a large amount of money which he used to expand and maintain his operations whilst also giving himself some luxuries.

Then suddenly Joshua felt a feeling of dread and felt goosebumps spreading around him as if a forewarning. But that is unlikely, what could happen they were safe secure and had been working for years not being noticed under being the guise of being a normal storage warehouse.

Then Joshua saw some of the doors open lightly and almost unnoticeably like they had simply been opened by the wind and were not secured properly but the weird thing was that they were all opening a small part all at the same time. Then Joshua just at the edge of his senses felt something clanging against the door and tried to give a warning before large flashes came and his senses were overwhelmed for around 10 seconds.

As he returned to his senses Joshua quickly noticed that in the short time almost all of his guards had been taken out and a large group of men with black clothing and golden trimmings in their clothes made of a secure material. Seeing the hopeless situation Joshua tried to flee through the back door before he was roughly lifted up by his shoulders and he got smashed in the stomach by a hard cold fist, most likely some gloves padded with a strong material. Then after the pain settled Joshua looked up at the man in front of him. The man looked to be around his 30's and had a scar on his face and a grim look in his face. Though at the moment he had a malicious grin plastered on his face which gave Joshua a feeling of dread.

Then as Joshua looked up at the man with around the same standard clothes as the rest of the men who stormed the compound but with more decorations and a small golden double headed eagle at the right side of his chest he felt his curiosity outweigh his sense of safety and sense.

"Who....o... are you all and what are you doing here ?" Joshua said trying to look and sound brave but ending up sounding scared and fearful.

Then if possible the malicious smile on top of the man's face grew even larger and Joshua felt his goosebumps and fear getting even worse as the man spoke few words.

"No one expects the Imperial inquisition." Joshua heard before he saw the fist of the large man approach his head before feeling a sharp pain around his temple and then there was nothing.

Location: Novam Domum, Imperial palace, Imperial office

Alexander Varellion, first of his name emperor of the IRM, protector of humanity and guardian of freedom as called so by many was in a call with inquisitor Allisandor Carrow.

"So how did the raid go agent carrow ?" Alexandra asked through the call with an inquisitive look on his face. It all went according to plan and efficiently, there were no casualties, only a few small wounds and the leader of the operation has been captured and is being prepared for interrogation."

Alexander then mused to himself for a few moments before making a decision "Go medium interrogation level on him, mostly psychological and light physical interrogation. Yes my lord." Allisandor responded showing only a slight displeasure before Alexander shut off his com and thought back on his recent action.

Whilst there had not been any spies found inside the colony the inquistion had proven sufficient in tracking down criminal groups and other dangerous organizations and Alexander was pleased.

Yet now it was time not to focus anymore on tech, politics or even the military, this year it was time to do some good old domestic investment.

For some time he had focused on preparing for battle and getting soldiers to battle and that had proven sufficient in accomplishing his goals, though the incident in Han space was definetely less than satisfactory the losses were acceptable  considering that there was not much invested into the fleet anyway.

Now with his personal opinion and several factions pushing for it the IRM was going more isolationistic which now included simply focus on matters inside the state.

Things were going to be good and soon all would go as planned

THE HOLY KINGDOM OF EADN

The Eadni Fleet is significantly bolstered by the new additions of a heavy cruiser and carrier. The two new capital class ships will make a fine addition to the Navy.

The industrial city of Aljadid Dubai gains a few more factories along its already bustling harbor district.

United Canadian Front

The tests on the Itoron yield incredible results as the Canadian researchers find out just how durable and resilient this metal is. In the pressure tests, the Itoron performs incredibly well, and when tested for strength, it easily resists some very large caliber bullets made from lesser metals.
Xylorite quickly reveals itself to be a rather remarkable source of energy, yielding far more yield than anything else the Canadians might have ever encountered. Should they learn how to refine it into a more pure form, it could be a particularly potent source of energy.

Gauss cannons are successfully upscaled and can now be effectively placed onto whatever class of ship the U.C.F. requires.

The destroyer begins production.

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta

The deployment of the many sets of Quantum Anchors throughout Maltese controlled sectors goes relatively well as they are not contested in any sort of way.

The xylorite torpedos enter construction, without about half of the desired order completed by the end of the year. The galactic community pays relatively little attention to the act.

No real intelligent life is found on any of the scanned planets, however some very intriguing fauna and flower life are found on some of the worlds well-within the habitable zone of their star. Particularly intriguing is a race of snake-like creatures who reside on a desert planet, displaying incredibly complex methods of hunting and burrowing, establishing massive complexes, though primitive, beneath the sands of their planet’s many deserts.

Destroyer construction is smooth.

[Letting Czar take interaction]

Silver Knight Corporation

The shipyard expansion finishes up around the end of the year with new classes of ships capable of being constructed for the fleet of the Silver Knight Corporation.

The Duke Class Destroyer is completed without issue, as well as the Small Freighter.

Assuming the Han allow it, the compound would enter progress, and depending on the size, be completed.

[LANCELOT CZAR!]

People's Agrarian Republic

A few small deposits of Xylorite are discovered in the outer reaches of P.A.R. space. Similar luck is found in regards to Itoron.

The shield research continues to make gains, though the issue of energy expenditure continues to plague the P.A.R. researches. Still, a better power source will be required if one would wish to operate the shields
and weapons in any sort of meaningful way together.

The disruptor rifle reverse engineering continues to make breakthroughs. (Truthfully, I don’t know much about this type of weapon so I believe the AP is suitable to have reverse engineered it, but talk to Czar about details).

The mobile shield droids are improved to the point of partial success. The droids may be mobile with the shields active, however it only occurs in brief bursts and may not necessarily last as long as the P.A.R. researchers desire.

The frigate is completed on time.

Free Human Technocracy

The train system makes movement of both people and goods far more efficient in the F.H.T. colony. This also allows industrial growth to prosper on the planet. (20 AP in Industry, +1 AP per Turn!)

The arctic planets are successfully colonized without much an issue, however the F.H.T. does struggle to find willing colonists after the initial wave of settlers as the conditions on these worlds are incredibly unattractive to most settlers.

The research into cybernetics in the form of physical enhancements makes major breakthroughs in how it augments and even replaces the biological processes of a human being. (Not really  sure on the details, either talk to Czar or PM me. AP is likely sufficient to have completed this research)

United Colonial Initiative

The Itoron is certainly capable of being used as a sort of heavy armor on all sorts of weapons systems, including the ships of the U.C.I. fleet. Through the testing of the Itoron-Titanium alloy, they find that Itoron-Steel is actually stronger as the two metals are more compatible when utilized together.

The two new frigates are completed and deployed with the fleet.

The Solarin Federation

The operation to establish a command outpost on Onyx succeeds without issue, kept a secret successfully.

Three Mk. 2 Centurion Assault Frigates join the Solarin Fleet by the end of the year.

(Same as hairy, plenty of AP spent in doing so. Gonna consult Czar. Don’t spend anymore AP on it).

(Gonna let Czar deal with the fighter results against the Corruptors, see what the Tassarans say)

The improvements to the MAC weaponry do seem to prove effective according to combat simulations, however their true test would come in the form of real combat against a real foe.

The anti-Corruptor security appears to be paying off, for it does not seem as though there is any sort of issue in 2132 regarding the Corruptors in Federation space.

Hephaestus Enterprises

The retinue of new Eurus Mobile Artillery, lead by Rond Trazur, does well against Corruptors should they choose to engage, with the missile systems proving incredibly effective.

(Going to give the ‘curing’ of the Corruption to Czar, that’s past my knowledge)

Project Lemon Continues.

United States Of Arcturus

The colonization of the planet goes relatively well, settling far enough away from the Neanderthals so as to not disturb their careful existence.

A destroyer rolls out of the U.S.A’s shipyard by the end of the year. One hundred fighters are also finished in factories on Arcturus.

Project T.A.R.P. sees some rather exciting breakthroughs, however the camouflage netting does seem slightly impractical as of right now. It is still too bulky, and requires too much time to set up before becoming combat effective.

TOPGUN is established, with the first breakout fighter pilot, Maverick, earning quite a reputation among pilots of the U.S.A. Navy.

The Han Dominion

See U.S.A. post for TARP project.
The genetic engineering project continues to make outstanding breakthroughs throughout the year, with all of the human genome mapped and a greater understanding of how to actually construct individual pieces of DNA. Scientists of the Han believe that at this point, they might successfully be capable of cloning or even constructing an entire human being using manipulated genetic material. This is a rather ambitious goal though.
The shipyard is upgraded. (I don’t know where you’re at right now, but 3 more AP is into it)
A relatively habitable world is discovered, though it is mostly a thick, heavily forested tundra. Small, the planet is particularly attractive because it has an atmosphere perfectly compatible to humans.

Imperial Republic of Mankind

The industrial investments prove incredibly fruitful as the citizens of the IRM spend an exorbitant amount of money on civilian and consumer goods.
The colony ship is completed and ready to set forth into the stars by the end of the year.
Families are anxious to take advantage of this policy, giving the Imperium a small boom in population.
The voting issues are largely fixed.

Events

Just as the galaxy begins to become optimistic about the conflict with the Corruptors in the East, tragedy strikes. The Karass Dominion loses three successive battles, devastating the combat effectiveness of their fleet. Scattered and disorganized, the Karass begins a steady retreat as they are pursued by a now numerically superior Corruptor force.

Separatist elements in the Karass Dominion see this as their opportunity to strike against the Dominion, with rebellious factions rising up and striking against their overlords. Now both at home and abroad, the Karass are facing devastating losses.

Seeing a need for protection from the Keerim threat, the Grand Alliance petitions to join the Trialition. The Trialition and Protorians continue to prepare their forces for whatever the Keerim have in store.

The Redon Imperium begins to mobilize its forces.

The Backhatta Hive begins to mobilize its forces.

The southern  galaxy is in crisis.

People's Agrarian Republic

*The research team had been on a constant edge. Close to a breakthrough, but still impaired. They were almost sure the shields themselves were ready. Now their issue was the work of a better power source. Right now their generators just didn't cut it. But they were still determined to use refined Xylorite. Work begins in a new direction, a better generator. Using experts from O.X.E.E, progress begins. They work over every part of the generator, finding ways to make it better. They also have to keep it at a reasonable size, for the ships. As this continue, other avenues will be sought out. The P.A.R will try to find other ways to provide enough power for their ships.

The other projects are halted for now, the progress good enough. The generator would take upmost priority for the team. And of course, resources were being distributed elsewhere. The Farmer's Meet is almost over, many already leaving. It was a great time, binding the different nations a littler further. Everyone eagerly awaits the judge panel's rulings. Life in Utopie does not return back to normal however. They are all scared of the trouble brewing.

A firm member of the Shock Troop cadre, this women's rhetoric begins to take notice. Bianka Klinghoffer is a rising star in the military. She is very young to be achieving such success. At the age of twenty five she was already a major general. She was a ardent follower of the P.A.R military doctrine. Many men and higher officers had their serious doubts. But those were wiped away as she fought in both battles Utopie partook in. First she was an engineer, controlling droids against the corruptors. That fight has been worthwhile, and she had proven herself. But in the disaster against the Han, she had been a reluctant soldier.

And now she had come home, having gained serious rank in the last battle. Her popularity was based on her own beliefs. She had been born and raised in Utopie. A fan like most of aliens, connections were made everywhere. Bianka had come from a family like most others of Prussian descent. Her family had always crowed about having descent from the Junker class. But that meant very little to her in this new world. She was a critic of the whole government system. Many in the military shared her views, being independent from government control. However this did not mean she spouted off about revolution or violence. They worked with the system, as any citizen did. People, primarily Germans,  were beginning to heed her words.

**With the Redons denying them, the P.A.R needed a new avenue. It would seem that focusing on their own resources would have to do. Major General Klinghoffer is the best opportunity. She and a military science team will start to form. Their purpose is to make a highly effective force blade. Their dream is to have one capable of being effective in most combat. They make a more long model, blade rather than knife. It's shaped after the Katana, a renown blade for it's sharp bite. It will not be as long however, as it wouldn't be as practical. Having used the knowledge gained, the P.A.R hopes it can pull it off. Preliminary work begins...

(Mod)The war committee had suggested a vote to the people. Gaining much support -especially from aliens- the P.A.R makes a proclamation. Their armies will be fully mobilized, to help their allies. Fifteen thousand soilders in power armor parade through Utopie. Droids of various designs march with them, engineers trailing behind. Their mission is to provide assistance to the Protorians. If that nation decides to, it can call upon the Utopie army.

In other news forces are doubled on the Tassaran home world. The 1st Tassaran rifles are fully manned and supplied. Alongside them is several other smaller regiments. They have their worries, as the hope built up fades. Granted many had not thought it was over. That was merely a reprieve.

Images of U.C.I. Marines in combat would clip past on the screen, Leahy would stare at it crossing his arms obviously impatient and focused. “Once the Marines are in the capitol building I want a transport prepared and our new destroyer deployed overheard of it to help prevent retaliation.” An officer would salute then run off down a narrow corridor disappearing as the door closed.  Combat would continue for another hour until Council supporters began surrendering en masse at the sight of the new Halsey class destroyer hovering over the capitol building.

JKAI0mMIUTqS0oXRBBmJPhZoGgo4Aq8sbHggbFJ2KKG8aNHD8xWQuM_qr_VjV6eS7yqcyrJceWTiHz9O93tVTE2Bqc30tSqeWjU446gxtGMMJzt4gu5Aoz54fNG2eOl6l0S4__sA

Intercoms all over Feldspar and Aldeban would echo with the speech of the victorious Leahy, it was quick, and horribly blunt.

“Our initiative has grown from a small vessel to a nation under our great council but they were intended for only leading us through the beginning of our journey. They have become malignant and fat off of their few successes, piggybacking off our strong military and spreading lies to you, the people. We are not the only human beings to have made it away from Earth and yet the council would have you believe that a lie. We have received transmissions from another human civilization, The United Canadian Front whom are not far from us. Due to their attempted facade and total lack of clarity the military has seen it fit to replace our council effective immediately.” The intercoms would shut off and armed soldiers would begin to appear in the streets of both colonies ensuring that peace would be kept in the streets. The capitol would be silent as the citizens would be taking cover long after the fighting stopped frozen in fear. Leahy would sit on the bridge of the destroyer looking out at the cityscape with a blank stare playing with his beard, he’d then turned to his communications officer. “Order the shipyard to construct another Destroyer and I want you to send a signal back towards the U.C.F.”

[Army Patrol on Aldeban]

It’s been weeks since the coup took place, council supporters have abandoned the vast cityscapes of the Initiative making way into the vast wildlands on both planets. Soldiers of both the army and marines are sent on long patrols into the frontier in order to root out these runaways executing them and burning their bodies. It’s leaves an obvious impact on the troops sending many into a state of shock and disgust. The news is kept secret as soldiers who commit these atrocities are sworn to secrecy and if they break it their entire family is killed. This operation would last for the entire year leaving as many as 5 high ranking supporters killed.

Activity:

The planet of Jardun III rests easy as the encounter with a foreign vessel ends peacefully. The council chambers are quickly filled and the meetings begin, centered around both the new alien life they have discovered as well as their position in the entire galaxy.

Military heads are ecstatic at all of the weaponry and enhancements being put into their vessels and ground forces, and as such have many military parades across Jardun III, complete with overhead fly-by’s from their A-1’s and Rideout corvettes. The rest of their fleet spend their time orbiting far above.

Recently there has been in increases on retrieved signals, specifically from a group calling themselves the U.C.I. The council organizes agreements between the two sectors including trade, migration, and a defensive pact agreement.

A new competition is launched by the government in co-operation with the military. It demands that a new body armor is created with the highest end mobile technology, as well as being made out of itoron plating. The winner of such contest will be given a military production contract, and be the devoted producer of such wearable armor for the military.

New gauss weaponry is applied to all vessels, increasing their combat effectiveness from standard cannons now into proper space weaponry. (0 AP)

Standard nuclear reactors are replaced by the new xylorite reactors on all ships, increasing their evasiveness and speed severely with the massive amounts of energy. (0 AP)

The government completes its funding into the new destroyer, the U.C.F. Concord. It sails from the dockyard and to the planet of Carspan II to provide defenses to the colony. (1 AP)

More research is done onto the itoron metal such as matching it with specific sets of other metals to complete an alloy. They are put up to weapon testing as well as their ability to be formed into panels. (1 AP)

Scientists conclude  research on the power capabilities of xylorite and shift their focus to weaponry. They continue on weapon testing in the far northern reaches of Jardun III, away from civilization. (1 AP)

Another Dundas class frigate is built at the drydocks above Jardun III, adding their fifth frigate to the fleet. (2 AP)

Fleet Week

Spoiler

“Passing by the stands now is the USS Wasp, the USS Wasp was originally constructed as a colony ship by the remnants, it was converted to a light carrier and eventually transferred to the Solarin fleet, captured by the United States Navy it was then pressed into service, if you look closely you can still see the original colony cargo racks on the under belly.” The announcer's voice boomed as the almost kilometre long support carrier gracefully floated by. The crowd cheered as the large white letters of USS WASP floated by the main balcony, the next ship a much smaller and faster one lined up to pass the stands, it slowly engages its thrusters moving to pass by the concourse “Coming up now the USS Baltimore, the lead ship in her class the USS Baltimore was built in 2129 as a guided missile corvette for fleet screening.” The crowd cheered as the ship zoomed by clearly more agile than the rest of the fleet, small but proud. The next ship lurched closer at almost 2km long it slowly picked up speed “And now the show most of us have been waiting to see, the USS South Dakota, lead in her class of the South Dakota class battleships. Constructed in 2131 by Zryka Engineering the South Dakota is the most powerful ship in commision today, and it looks like she is gonna show us her guns…” The announcer's voice was absorbed by the screaming crowd waving small paper flags, the massive 1m railguns of the battleship turned to face a large target. “Complete with deflector shields and armor, this target is based with the same specifics as a Solarin destroyer…” The two 1m railguns began tracking before they each fired one round at the deflector enveloped target. The shells pierced the deflectors immediately and the ship exploded in a brilliant flash of light as the 1m tungsten shells hit true. The battleship fired another salvo of smaller tracer rounds into the black abyss of space. “And coming over now, carrier air wing-1 tactical bomber squadron six, flying VC-9 bombers they are matched out on their wings by escort F-92’s out of the territorial defense air corps based on Artemis.” The small fighters and bombers streaked across the top of the concourse, white blue and red smoke trailed behind them, shimmering in the sunlight.

“Sir the 1m are loaded and ready to fire again, another salvo?” Admiral Cuthos looked out the front of the bridge “No FCO, that's enough show for one day, rotate guns to standby position.” The sailor nodded “Aye aye sir.” and keyed a few buttons. A sailor in camouflage quickly rushed up to the admiral offering a snappy salute which the admiral returned “Morning sir, Admiral Benjamin sends his regards sir, he is passing the word for you.” The sailor handed a sealed envelope to the three star admiral. Admiral Cuthos read it with a nod “Sweet mother of Mary, have the flight deck prepare a shuttle for transport.”

With the recent bolstering of the fleet the US government finally decided it was time to strengthen the forces at home, seeing the success of the Hans defenses the US decided it was time to employ P.S.D.I. Otherwise known as planetary surface defense initiative. P.S.D.I consists of five defense modules.

__________________________________________________________

The first module of the defense initiative is ground based missile silos, deployed in heavily armored silo bunkers the Surface to space missiles are equipped with various warheads to be used against an enemy.

The second module is a fleet of TEL1A1 Tomahawk mobile launch platforms, these mobile trucks are designed to change locations on a weekly basis being able to go from driving to firing the TEL surface to space missile in six minutes.

______________________________________________________________

The third module is T.A.A.W.P AKA Top. The transportable anti aircraft weapons platforms are a mix of mobile anti aircraft missiles and flak cannons designed to be employed around key structures and areas to intercept enemy strike craft.

Activity

The Compound on Huizhou was complete and the local government had contracted the Corporations Private Police Holding Company to perform Police duties in and around the Spaceport with occasional intercity contracts into what is usually considered no go zones. Some natives of Huizhou were hired to compliment the freshly recruited police force that were trained on Armathwaite and separate from the Military. Modified Police Variants of Mech Suits were delivered to the Huizhou Compound for use, armed with less firepower, more non-lethal options such as tear gas and rubber bullets though with real ammunition as an option. James O'Mally is selected as the Station Chief and is named Chief Inspector of Huizhou. The Company would ensure that trade would run smoothly as far as the docks. Operations would be contracted by the Han Dominion at a later date.

Meanwhile on Armathwaite and New Gibraltar things were mostly quiet, the day to day of going to work, extracting resources and going home would still be ongoing. Employees would be encouraged to have families, having contracts extend to their families with benefits such as healthcare or dental being handled by third party companies that were not owned by the SK Corporation. No Monopoly would form in Armathwaite, the Market would work as intended with multiple companies competing against each other so the best possible service can be provided at the most affordable price. The Company would then see to pursue

Activity Points

The Company would order the construction of a Destroyer with Project Lancelot Technology, though it would be done at a Shipyard in an undisclosed location and would not be announced, construction would be a secret. (3AP)

A Support Carrier would be ordered to be constructed at the Companies disclosed and recorded Shipyard and would be somewhat public about the construction (5AP)

Lastly the Company would begin with its new Project, Project Gawain, this Project would be to create a Mech Suit that can Fly in Atmosphere and operate in Vacuum. Seeking to have it armed with a variety of weapons and being able to fly without transforming. It would be armoured with an Itorite-Dakite Alloy, powered by an experimental miniature Xylorite reactor that would be developed as part of the Project and it would be shielded. (1AP Continued with more next turn)
