“You seem to have a thing for Arctic planets don’t you Sir?” Ben’s personal bodyguard would laugh to himself as the trio were bundled up, trying to lighten the mood a little bit but soon after the snowfall started again, “We should head back to the Domes..” he would look around a get in the ATV.. “Come on sir.. It won’t be safe out here for long..” As he opened the door for Ben to hop in..

“You see Trey.. This world is not meant to be comforting.. We will be sending our criminals here, as well as producing the robots we acquired from the deal we made with SATO. This right here will be our mining world. A mining outpost of sorts.” He’d cough into his hands rubbing them together trying to warm them up before pulling out his touchpad, looking at the recent intel reports on the Keerim and the southern galaxy mobilizing. “Do you think we should build up our fleet Trey?” he’d set the pad down in the set next to him looking up towards him.

“W-What? Sir?” Trey would look back in the rearview mirror at him, before regaining his composure, “I mean I believe so.. The Triliation will surely need our assistance. In land and space combat..” a bump would break his concentration as he corrected himself back onto the path. “We are relative light on small ships. Which would leave us vulnerable to attacks and being overwhelmed. We need to expand our capacity of Frigates and Destroyers… As well as building corvettes to protect our shipping lanes.. But I would suggest Frigates and Destroyers take priority.” he’d smile as he saw Ben nod his head in approvement..

“Now let's get back to Viyter safely.. We have some work to do Captain..”

Imperial Republic of Mankind

40k_imperial_aquila__transparent__by_fug

Location: Novam Domum, Imperial palace, Imperial office

Alexander Varellion emperor of the IRM and protector of humanity contemplated the current galactic situation, inside of his office. Things were not looking good. The southern galaxy was in crisis, the Keerim and Corrupters just kept growing stronger and even now a civil war was going on inside the Karras Dominion. Things were not looking good and from now on things were only going to escalate. At least he could hope that the Keerim did not unleash something beyond their power if they attacked the Ganvius nation. Whilst Alexander did fear the Keerim he feared the Ystor much much more. Whilst the Keerim would annex them and oppress them if they could even reach the IRM and defeat the Trialition and the Protorians and Redons they would at least not purge them in comparison to the Ystor. Yes, he needed to provide adequate defenses. Yet he knew that there could be a possible exchange and he should if he could help the Karras with their internal war. He would do this since the Ystor were a good trading partner and it could provide better relations with the loyalists. Yes he had some things on mind.

Another note to self Alexander though, he would need to get better education, maybe he could get some aliens to give them a galactic standard education but for now he would simply improve the education he has.

Yes things would be good eventually.

The Dao Wu stalked through the misty forests of Yuguo, flanked by two of its bodyguards in tan uniform. Though the night was dark, their powerful lamps illuminated the path ahead: a narrow stretch of bare earth between towering walls of moss and trees.

vo-dwDFvEoH7CvD0dTX9Bos4rVQ00q2vzesy5eSFlUxxbONSfhA5NmbFl95eSP0xfMR-DRLtBNMZJSACAFyAaJjmLXEd-g7MKYDC-h0A3rwMC169sL5qZooaZmrU1DPYMeGKvlMb

Slowly, more lights came into view through the dense woodland ahead, and as the Dao Wu and its entourage stepped forward, they found themselves overlooking a vast tea plantation spanning a steep valley. It, too, was illuminated, but by dim flaming lamps rather than the bright electric torches carried by the cloaked Dao’s escort. In the paths below walked hundreds of figures: some wearing the red and black of the Jinyiwei, others dressed in the simple clothes of civilians.

olyj5lBIF-nC_0aEe_stIT5W7QeECP41GYf5pokiGZUfE_xRW9-ZfhjJWK3I27jvwgDinJTwjMKE6zyNuZe9vCFUdjWDjgV0MbYbEE_yexUVLles4VSm_dmMOpLkDUFw_OpPoyJR

The soldiers beside the Dao Wu scowled. The music drifting up from the valley floor was unmistakable: more of the strange notes that always seemed to pervade the moon spirit’s houses of worship. At least the Dao now knew what it had been invited to. It drew its gaze up the main path through the tea plants, to a majestic  house which looked recently built, standing on the opposite hill. One by one, the Han below approached the house, laying offerings before the dwelling.

As the Dao’s party watched, they soon noticed several figures approaching up the hill, and the soldiers readied their rifles when they recognized them as Jinyiwei. No order to the contrary came from their masked commander.

There were five of them: three lower ranking agents bearing sidearms, and two lieutenants, both unusually female. All wore silver pendants of triple crescents around their necks, and all bowed exceptionally low as they reached the top of the hill and faced the Dao Wu. The Dao was silent for a moment, but motioned for them to stand up.

“Explain,” it finally said, the face of its mask tracking over the great plantation and its many occupants.

“We did not wish to act without your knowledge, Dao Wu,” responded the older agent, a woman in her mid thirties. “But nevertheless, action was required. You have arrived just in time.”

A hundred reactions echoed from below as lights appeared in the cloudy skies above, and a shuttlecraft descended to the house, coming to a gentle landing on a flat patch of grass. It was hard to make out who stepped from its opening doors at this distance, but the first of several figures was tall, and dressed in a long, deep red cheongsam. The Han closest to the house conspicuously bowed, and were soon joined by those behind them.

The Dao Wu turned its gaze to the women in front of him.  “So you have brought the thing to Yuguo. I suppose this was ordered by someone with the clout to attempt such insubordination? Or have I truly been summoned here by two upstart lieutenants?”

“Our superiors are with her now, Dao Wu,” replied the younger woman. “You mustn’t be angry. She wishes to help us, and we need it. You know what the state of affairs is like beyond our borders...who can help us, but her?”

The Dao only shook its head. “This time, you go too far. I see now that everything the Dao Yi has said of your agency has been true. What did you expect to achieve with this? You will inform your superiors to remove the creature from the planet immediately, before we decide to deploy tr-” The masked figure was suddenly cut short, and though its expression was unreadable, its sudden ramrod straight posture betrayed that something strange was happening. Confused, the soldiers guarding him searched for a cause, and soon settled on the older lieutenant, who was now standing placidly, her eyes closed. To the intense concern of her partner, they aimed their rifles at her head, but held their fire as they tried to piece together what was happening. Far away, atop the opposite hill, the figure in the red gown appeared to be staring right at the confrontation, along with her companions.

Nearly a full minute passed before the older woman opened her eyes. “Please accept my apologies, Dao Wu,” she said, bowing deeply once again. “I could think of no other way to show you.”

The cloaked ruler took but a moment to regain its physical composure, before looking down at the agent once again. “She will appear before us. She will explain her intentions to us. Then we will make our decision. And if you or any of your ilk try that on a Dao ever again, you will be court-martialed for treason.”

With that, the Dao Wu turned back into the forest, and the Jinyiwei were left once again alone in the valley.

The Dominion watches galactic events unfold with a great deal of apprehension: the checks and balances that have for decades maintained a degree of peace are worn down nearly to the breaking point, and the threat of the Keerim in particular looms in every informed official’s mind. Without a fleet and with inadequate defenses, the Han are more vulnerable than ever should hell finally break loose. Options are rapidly debated, but nothing seems particularly viable. These are dark times indeed.

Under the command of General Shi Cheng and overseen by the Dao Yi itself, ten thousand Han soldiers unload onto the new planet Taiyuan, in the newly-settled Xinjiang system. Though the planet is cold and snowy, it is still remarkably hospitable, and the favorable atmosphere means the soldiers are able to set up operations that much more quickly. Away from the prying eyes of other branches of government, they set to their work, and prepare for war.

The Thulean Republic - Ultima Thule

The first months of life on Ultima Thule were exceptionally difficult. Everyone knew someone that had died to corrosive acid, the toxic gases that enveloped the entire planet in a thick blanket, or simply succumbed to despair and ended it all before it could get worse. Even in the decision to move underground, which proved vital to the continued survival of the colony, resulted in deaths of many to rock falls and collapses, and the threat of starvation loomed ever closer. Up until the discovery of vast deposits of ice and several underground lakes. With sustainable access to fresh water and therefore the ability to grow crops, the prospects of the colonists were dramatically less dire, although life would by no means by a cake walk on Ultima Thule.

Since then, the colony has adapted to life underneath hell itself. A government has formed that is a more egalitarian and democratic analogue to the Roman Republic, with a senate of elected representatives who themselves voted upon two consuls to lead the colony every four years, and the colony had officially named itself the République Thuléenne, or the Thulean Republic. The first assembly of the Senate was held in the capital (and only) city, Nouvelle Marseille, 3 months after landing on Ultima Thule, and Charles Debrun and Jean de Cambacérès were elected consuls. The initial bartering has developed into a basic currency-based economy, though the Senate owns the vast majority of industrial and agricultural capabilities of the colony. While means of instantaneous communication have been developed for co-ordination across Ultima Thule, paranoia among the citizenry and conservatism among the Senate meant it has not been directed away from the planet.

Perhaps most impressively is the Republic's ability to pursue a space program despite the limitations that the planet imposed, spurred on mostly by Debrun, the more popular of the two consuls. While many senators initially found the idea to be a profound waste of time and resources, the idea was highly favoured among the populace and so was funded, and soon the first ship pierced the veil of death that surrounded Ultima Thule, and returned safely. It wasn't long after that that the decision was made to construct a staging ground in orbit, which eventually evolved into an orbital shipyard where a number of vessels have been constructed to extend the reach of the Republic beyond the death world it was born on, forming the Marine Républicaine (Republican Navy). A military called the Garde Républicaine (Republican Guard) has also developed, numbering around 5,000 Gardes. While trained in military operations, their main services for now have been in law enforcement.

One of the first goals of the Republic once it had space-borne capabilites was to better understand their immediate surroundings, both within and without the Hyperborée system. Consequently, the two Hermès-class freighters constructed previously are sent to perform mineral and resource surveys of the system itself. A corvette is also commissioned in the shipyards, to be named the NMR Pèlerin, and will be used to scout nearby systems and search for foreign nations without immediately revealing the existence and location of the Republican homeworld.

klavs_models68.thumb.jpg.f28de9ba3f3fd5c993f29f38927d0112.jpg

During routine mining operations for the expansion of Nouvelle Marseille, the architect of which was de Cambacérès, several miners were killed by a spontaneous explosion. Upon an inquiry into the deaths, a strange mineral was discovered that appeared to be the cause of the deaths. Initial attempts to safely extract the highly volatile substance were met with failure, and so several geologists, chemical engineers, and explosives experts are gathered to research a way of doing so.

If You can find a BETTER Deal on Droids...

...Just Kidding! You WON'T!

The combat droids activated, and began their stoic, clattering march out of their transport freighter. The Tassaran capital was beautiful this time of year, and the plains were perfect for unpacking war-machines.

Rond watched with beaming pride as more of his personal army, with greater discipline and harmony than any biological soldier, moved in perfect formation. In vast square blocks, they arranged themselves for inspection. It was a beautiful sight--twenty-thousand combat droids all under his command, and awaiting his orders to attack his enemies. Looking back to his training, he couldn't imagine himself commanding this much authority. As an officer in the Redon Imperium he was overlooked whenever another royal-blooded member of his misbegotten family entered the scene. He trained his hardest, outdid the whole regiment in multiple fields, and yet all it took for someone to counter his successes was to be born closer to the throne. That's why he had to go. He could not be constrained by his name any longer. If he was going to succeed, he needed a place where people could thrive on skill alone. That is when he found the Corporation.

Rond began a slow walk down the column of droids, admiring his metal warriors. That was another thing he liked about robot-soldiers; they didn't mind if you kept them in a pretty formation for hours on end. He wondered briefly if he could give them swords, and re-enact ancient battles from the homeworld? That would be something to behold. He could probably turn a profit from it too--offer tickets, set it in an arena, holo-record it and sell it for a pay-per-view subscription service. He could run ads between rounds as well! That would easily cover costs and put more money in his pocket. Maybe then he could use that money to build a factory so he could make the droids, and design them to his own specifications! He could out-do those Cooper & Sons hacks any day of the week. Though, he would need raw resources as well. Perhaps investing annual funds into off-planet businesses would maximise returns on the-

Rond clasped his head for a moment, and sighed. His 'episodes' were getting worse.

Some days, he could think of nothing but ways to invigorate his PR. Was there something in Hades' water supply that made shareholders slavering capitalists? He had to stop himself from buying a majority stake in a construction subsidiary. He had no time to manage businesses, damn it! He was supposed to be a soldier, crusading on the far-rims of civilisation against an ever-growing and nightmarish threat of mutating, genocidal beasts! He rubbed his eyes, and walked quickly on from his droids. Gazing at them had lost its appeal.

The Royal Guard were performing combat drills nearby. He felt at home walking among his fellow Redons. The camaraderie was thick in the air--and not a single voice spoke of markets, or values, or deals. The men bowed low as he passed, and some jokingly called him by his 'Hephaestus name' of Red Prince. And yet...

... something didn't feel right, here. His days in the military academy were long over, and now these men felt alien to him. All the conversations he overheard about deployments, personal feats of courage and daring, valiant last-stands, and jovial cheers to the life and glory of the Redon didn't move him like they used to. When he thought of the Redon, all he could imagine were the swathes of family that passed over him. When he thought of the Imperium all he saw were cousins, who had worked half as hard as himself, receiving a free ride into important postings. And only because their mummy or daddy was a Lord of this sector or a minister of that government. It was a sham. Kings, lords, governments--they were all a damnable sham. They spoon-fed their own children and brought them up without challenging their abilities, or ideas. The royalty were grandiose warriors, but how long would they remain that way without a major war to test their abilities and leadership?

In the midst of his existential quandary, he looked to the sky, and saw another transport gently floating down from the atmosphere and towards the droids. No doubt these would be the first units of Eurus Artillery Vehicles he had requisitioned. And with the vehicles came the human crew that would charge their very silly vehicles across the plains of Tassarea, and beyond. He smiled to himself.

At last. People he could relate to.

With yet more wasted resources on the Corruptor-infection cure, CEO Steven Penrith stated quite loudly that if they cannot deliver results next time, there would be figurative rolling heads moving across the figurative floor. Angry about the considerable investment with no return, he gets into a drunken stupor before calling his wife/secretary Sally to comfort him. She proceeds to comfort him for most of the day.

4 AP through trade.

1AP from population.
2AP from controlled sectors.
1AP from industry.

-The Board comes to the sad realisation that, once again, the corporation has to do the hard work and research new weapons themselves. Since the powers-that-be refuse to even share the barest information on what they merely use, the corporation itself will have to develop new weapons from scratch. Just like in the Corruptor War, just like laser-weapons, just like in life, Hephaestus had to do everything itself. The Corporation looks into developing new energy weapons. They stray away from disruptors, as they consider them to be far too expensive, and instead look bigger. The Board chooses to put resources into designing a heavier, high-power energy weapon. Something more suited for vehicles or ships. (-5AP)

Rebellions rage and ravage the worlds of the Karass. Dissatisfied Galaron and Humans have risen up against their oppressors, flooding streets, occupying cities, taking over planets and even shipyards and warships. Amongst them are also amounts of Karass, intent to disposing of their feudal rulers. With most of the Karass fleet engaged against the Corrupters far away, the Dominion struggles to keep peace and order at this point.

But the flames of war ravage everywhere. Driven in support of the rebels in the Karass domains, the Backhatta Hive has sent out fleets to assist the rebels in their efforts, striking at key locations, destroying shipyards, interrupting any formation of defensive fleets for the Karass... until they are forced to withdraw, their border worlds under direct attack from the new allies of the Karass. The Redon himself has called out this war, broadcasted it publicly across the galaxy, ten seconds before the first reports of Redon strike groups attacking Backhatta outposts appear.

Forced by the defensive pact, the Protorian Council yet again enters in a second war against the mighty Redon Imperium, a foe they do respect from the past.

But the unraveling continues, as the first Keerim fleet openly attack systems of the Protorians and the Trialition, who are prepared though and immediately begin countermeasures. Heavy space battles ensue in the long stretches of space between the Keerim Imperium and their territories.

All in the while, another Corrupter offensive has caught the Tassaran forces after their break in a heavy struggle. They have prepared, but are reeling under the newfound strength of the Corrupters. And in the far west, in a surprise attack, the Kalronian Ystor rule begins its moves for the first time in decades, openly attacking Ganvius systems, who retaliate with equal and relentless force. Two Elder races at direct war with eachother.

War rages everywhere, uncontrolled, coalitions fire, nations are pulled to war, death will reign this newly ushered era of the first Southern Galactic War.

THE HOLY KINGDOM OF EADN

The destroyer is finished as planned, and soon joins the ranks of the Eadni fleet, bolstering it substantially.

With the new industrial complex finished, it is clear that there will be a great excess of production by the end of the year. (You know, additional AP each 20 for you Authoritarians.)

From what can be picked up without major effort, is that most of the rebelling worlds are Humans and Galaron. Dissatisfaction and continued oppression by many Karass lords brought them up in arms.

The biggest concern for the Karass is to surpress the rebellions and beat them where possible. (Encounter)

People's Agrarian Republic

For the era of war incoming, the ships (destroyer, two frigates) are finished just as planned. Sometime soon, they will surely become essential for upcoming battles.

The energy issue out of the way, a first prototype simply blows up, but only two variables later, the scientist finish a stable prototype. It does not hold its integrity for very long though, but the scientists are confident, with just a bit more time, they can develop a proper dual-phased shield.

With the new war at hands, the Protorians in the way they are, leave everyone to the choice to assist them. It is welcome, but if it is to preserve their own people (humans), they must not join.

Deriving a little bit from shielding technology, the theory of a force blade is being worked on. A regular combat knife that has a multifolded force field extending over the blade itself is the direction the scientists are pursuing at this point.

United Colonial Initiative

The second destroyer leaves the shipyard as planned to join its older brother up in the sea of stars.

Without any proper resources invested into the project, it makes little progress, aside from picking up old schematics and plans from Earth and ordering them.

The clue about gravitational manipulation is by generating an energetic field that draws and repels objects. They enter the concept phase itself, but do not go very much beyond that yet.

The preliminary stages continue as planned, when one night, a guardsman witnesses an old gentleman in a white suit showing up in the sealed and secured lab, entering something on a computer there. Within half a minute, he rushes to the lab, to find it empty as if nobody was there. Considering it might have been a lack of sleep, he puts it off and continues his shift. The next morning however, the scientists are simply baffled, as they find fully functional and flawlessly designed schematics for a system that uses the Quantum plane for radio communications. Where it came from and who made it, is simply unknown.

United Canadian Front

The testing for specific alloys with Itoron bring up two particular viable ones. An Itoron-Aluminium alloy (Itoron A-50) and Itoron-Steel alloy (Itoron S-50) are suggested. The former is lighter, less dense, but still outperforming raw steel, the latter being heavier, but tough and resilient.

With ships running on raw Xylorite reactors, they proceed to experiment with various railgun concepts and other trickery. But aside from having a lot of fun in blowing up some mountainsides, they do not produce much.

The ships on the other hand are both finished as planned, ready for combat duty as needed.

United States Of Arcturus

Everywhere new defences are being erected, new tunnel networks, silos, bunkers, gun positions prop up. It's a massive scale project and far from done.

A hundred strike craft are built as planned.

The Light cruiser leaves its shipyard, another impressive ship to join the fleet.

With the onset of this huge war, all trade has been interrupted, as any ships to non-Keerim territories are being assaulted, turned away or destroyed by either Protorian or Trialition forces.

The Solarin Federation

((Contact me for the first, details.))

The small support carrier leaves the shipyard as planned.

The first variant of Human disruptor rifles to see the light of the stars. Commendable progress for a race in so few years.

Silver Knight Corporation

And so it is done.

And that as well. First Support Carrier to join the Silver Knights. Use it well.

Given how rare Dakite is, scratching together such an amount will be tough. In the meantime, the scientists continue their research with an existing mech type that uses regular Itoron S-50.

Free Human Technocracy

Whilst all ships and fighters are finished as planned, elsewhere the survey yields no results of note, whilst there appears to be a lot of Uranium ore on one of the planets, it's mostly useless by today's standards.

A gruesome operation to replace these people's limbs with cybernetic parts, but it does its job nontheless.

Imperial Republic of Mankind

Utilizing a Redon escort massive amounts of ballistic weaponry are being shipped to a loyalist coreworld. If the people in the Imperium knew they were being used against Galaron, Karass and Humans....

You should probably upgrade to a Silveredge (Dota 2 joke here).

((Education will be handled accordingly later.))

The Han Dominion

The production proceeds as planned. ((Poke me for that, need a refresher))

Chaal herself requests an audience with the Han's leadership. ((Encounter))

The Order of Malta

The delivery comes in time before the worst happens. And the ship and fighters join the Maltese fleet as planned.

The Thulean Republic - Ultima Thule

Whilst no remarkable rare resources are found, the mineral riches on the various planets are baffling. There are enough ores and radioactive matter to fuel a growing industry for decades if not centuries. Energy production should pose no problem at all.

A humble corvette leaves the shipyard this year, ready for combat duty.

Trizendrium is highly volatile. Explosions have shown that in the past. Handling it with care, the scientists try to work out a way to crack open the crystals and maintain the orange goo's stability whilst purifying it or transporting it elsewhere. So far, only success with small and not very viable amounts in a test lab.

Hephaestus Enterprises

And a visibly aged Tassaran scientist from long ago delivers. Within half a year he whips up schematics for a heavy calibre laser cannon, usable by vehicles and ships, two months later, the prototypes are done and tested, and at the end of the year, the first version is flawless and reliable. Still eats energy though.

300 Eurus Artillery vehicles are carted off to the endless battlefields of the Tassaran Republic.

Events

War. Everywhere. The Southern Galaxy sinks into chaos.

The Tassaran casualties have reached the 200 million mark. They are on retreat on from so many worlds now, refugees are pouring out of the Republic, an entire nation is sinking into chaos. The Grgl are starting to suffer the first direct assaults from Corrupter fleets. They straight up lose seven battles with two worlds inhabitated by 380 million Grgl in a row. This puts the Grgl casualties up to about 600 million.

New Sephoria is integrated into the Tjieran Principate with the onset of the war, in order to prevent their potential annexation by the Keerim and to protect them. Sephoria itself turns into a battlefield itself soon after, as a Ceri-led Trialition fleet manages to beat back a Keerim fleet under heavy losses. Given how other races are dying for them, it appears a selfless act in the eyes of many.

Whereever there are Backhatta and Redons living closeby to eachother, hostilities break out between the two people, leading to open fights on the street and general unrest. Many people are split, some in support of the Redons, other for the Backhatta. OFten enough Galaron assist the Backhatta too.

Given the intense war that just broke out, most trade is interrupted. ((Refer to me for that.))

The Thulean Republic

Blissfully unaware of and isolated from the chaos that was beginning to consume the galactic south, life on Ultima Thule continues as harshly as ever, although there was some good news. While the exploratory survey led by the NMA Opportun and NMA Prospérité hadn't yielded any exotic resources, the results were by no means a disappointment. Initial reports indicated that the planets and moons of the Hyperborée system possessed considerable mineral wealth and deposits of nuclear fuel. Already, development plans for the system are drawn up by Consul de Cambacérès, who might not be as popular as Lebrun, but his administrative expertise and pragmatic mind mean the Republic continues to function efficiently and fluidly. passed rather easily through the Senate, and the resources and manpower allocated. Many colonists rushed for the chance to be recruited for the projects, hoping for a chance of a life away free from the ever-oppressive atmosphere of Ultima Thule. The current plans for the industrial development of the system were as follows:

3CC4F96700000578-0-image-a-17_1486064961

Arès

Arès would likely have been a far superior choice to Ultima Thule to settle, if not for the constant seismic and volcanic activity. Similar in appearance and atmosphere to Mars, although closer to Earth in size, the survey revealed large mineral deposits, such as iron, titanium, and chromium. It's moon, Metus, also possessed moderate resource deposits. While a surface-based mining colony would prove unfeasible due to the high risk of seismic disruption, an orbital station which acted as a base for medium-term mining operations meant the materials could be extracted. The initial startup would be composed of 500 workers, who - along with the materials necessary - would be taken to Arès aboard the NMA Opportun.

Earthlike_moon_extrasolar_gas_giant.jpg

Pontos

Pontos, a helium giant slightly smaller than Jupiter, made up the vast majority of the non-solar mass of the system. It possessed several moons, though only three were of a noteworthy size: Déméter, the largest; Gaulle, a cryovolcanic ice moon named for the war hero and President of the 20th Century; and Prytaneum, the smallest of the major Pontic moons, and most distant of them all. The survey revealed that Pontos itself has sizable levels of helium-3 in its lower atmosphere, a valuable fuel for fusion. Furthermore, the moons themselves had an array of valuable resources, both for materials and for energy generation. For now, though, the initial stages of the development of the Pontic sub-system focused entirely on the patriarch planet, namely an orbital helium mine. Like the Aresian plan, a startup crew of 500 and the materials and equipment required would be taken by the NMA Prospérité. Later development was planned both on Pontos and its moons, and the helium mine would help function as a staging ground for that when the time came.

Back on Ultima Thule, the NMR Pèlerin leaves the Mètis shipyard, primed for its purpose: exploration. Led by Captain Jacques Cartier, the corvette leaves the influence of Hyperborée, heading toward the systems to the immediate galactic north. His aim is to establish whether there are any planets in them, and if so, whether they are of interest both industrially and colonially.

The work on a method of safely extracting Trizedrium continues in earnest. While results have thus far only been successful in the laboratory, there are successes nonetheless.

The Solarin Federation

Year 2134 Terra, Sol Colony, Sol’s Rebirth System

Sometimes by losing a battle you find a new way to win the war.” - Donald Trump

dcc6577db28e32421bae41ae2d7134d7.png

With the Galaxy descending into literal hell, the Federation Council has majority voted for full and unending support in the Corruptor War.

With this the Military goes into a total overhaul, Tanks, Trucks, Fighters and Troops all begin to be equipped with anything the Federation can deploy, Laser Rifles, Ballistic Weapons. Anything they can spare for the war.

A public announcement is made to all Colonies in regards to recent events..

This is Director Vira Usenko, many of you may remember me when I was head of state before the vote to allow our War Minister take charge. I come before you not as a leader, but as fellow citizen...The Karass Dominion whom we have had issue with in the past years has been fighting and bleeding alongside all others in an attempt to bring down the Corruptors, Despite this..rebellion and civil war have broken out against the current Karass Leadership. Even with such discourse happening at home they continue to fight on in Corruptor Space, we must push with all our might alongside our fellow nations against this doom.

The Tassarans have lost 200 Million men so far in the battle against the Corruptors, the Grgl have lost 600 Million...mainly civilian casualties.

A moment of silence follows

But do not let this deter you! For we cannot allow them to fight and bleed for nothing, They fight and suffer for us as well. We can only repay such a debt by being willing to give everything we have to aid in this fight!

The camera adjusts to the space above Terra as a massive fleet gathers.

The Auroran Technocracy has offered their entire fleet under Federation Command to aid in our fight. For so long they remained quiet but now offer full support. So ask yourselves, what can you give the Federation? What can you do to help stave off the darkness coming? Together we can stave off that darkness and break through to bring hope to those around us!

Forever Vigiliant! Forever Steadfast!

Solaris Aeternum!

Many citizens cheer and chant their support, the Federation begins to grind into a war machine.

Just like the Corruptors they will not relent, they will not rest until one..or the other is victorious!

The U.C.F. sent videos and news reports from the south galaxy wide conflict in an effort to spur its leadership into action. The U.C.I answers this call to arms by the U.C.F. rallying a destroyer, two frigates, a troop transport, and its entire corvette force into the First Fleet. They will meet up with the U.C.F fleet in orbit around Feldspar then warp towards the Ganvius sending hails.

(mod)

Citizens of the U.C.I. become victim to mass propaganda by the military brass, Citizens that join are promised reduced taxes, able to see the galaxy, and an unforgettable experience unlike any other.

(mod)

The fitting of Gauss technology brought in from the U.C.F. is a welcome addition to the fleet replacing the many rail-guns on the ships. Soon the U.C.I. navy becomes accustomed to their new weaponry taking a liking to them. Rail-guns are still a mainline weapon to the ground troops though.

As the fleet leaves and the propaganda is spread throughout the colonies, radio comms are sent to the west and north announcing the U.C.I’s intentions and offers of trade and friendship.

IN GOD WE TRUST

______________________

In God we trust….all others we track.

Deathly silent in the black abyss, the USS Baltimore drifted along its course, no engine running. The black painted ship coated in stealth panels continued on its course forward. The boat was rigged for ultra quiet, minimum movement, crews at battle stations or in their racks, the ship continued forward, the NAV officer looked over his screen, a detailed profile of the surrounding space using passive sensors. Above the console printed on a faded sticker was the ship's motto and mission.

13363222553_73fcf0235a_b.jpg

The space around the ship was empty, not a thing for half a million miles, Captain Ross Looked through his viewscreen. “Nothing here, Chief Of The Boat prepare the jump to warp, this game preserve is bone dry.” The COB nodded “Aye aye Captain, lee helm bring us to warp, helm set course for the next plot” The COB reached up to the one MC sounding the Warp alarm twice

“All hands this is the con, warp….warp….warp.” The Ship's engine ignited in a large rush of blue, the ship shot forward for a few kilometres before hurrying off into warp. The navigator kept his eyes on the tracking table it was only to be a short haul to the next point “Captain thirty seconds till warp dropout.” Captain Ross nodded “XO! Standby to rig the boat for ultra quiet!” The stars flying by came to a stop as the ship exited warp. The captain quietly walked towards the nav officer in a low voice “Course?” The Nav officer nodded “Parabolic orbit of a nearby class G star, orbit period is 30,000 years, no sign of external gravitational forces, tracking si- holy mother of Mary, Captain, tracking sixty plus freighters  and liners, we just dropped into a shipping lane.” The captain smirked as he sipped his now cold covfeve. He picked up the ships talking comms keying it “Weapons this is the con, load torpedoes in tubes one through eight.” A crackly voice responded about sixty seconds later “Con this is the weapons room, torpedoes loaded tubes one through eight.” The captain paced around the con “FCO give me something to shoot at.” The FCO nodded “Sir transponders show two Triathalon freighters, 30,000 tonnes and 10,000 tonnes respectively.” The ship continued on its course undetected “Get me firing solutions on each of them” Captain Ross said with another sip of covfeve, the fire control officer spent a minute pressing buttons and selecting menus. “Sir firing solutions found.” The captain nodded picking up the comm mic the eyes of everyone in the con looked to him, with a heavy sigh he looked up to the two portraits above the con in plain view, one of the Keerim Emperor and another of President Hayes, crossing his heart he signing the cross he keyed the mic “Weapons, two solutions found, fire torpedos one and two at solution one. Fire three and four at solution two.” The FCO studied his screen, the torpedos also coated in stealth panels streaked away from the ship towards their targets “Captain we have fish in the water, TOT three minutes.” the Triathalon ships continued to amble through the shipping lane, unknown to them their deaths were moments away as four rods of pain streaked across open space, undetected. “Captain, good hits on both targets.” Two bright flashes lit up the space around the shipping lane as freighters all around went to warp. The wreckage of the two freighters began to spread out, nothing more than a centimetre big. “COB, push to warp and take us home.” The Captain went to take a sip but found his cup empty, was it a metaphor for their luck?

-One final effort into a Corruption treatment is made. With their jobs on the line, the biologists put their all into the project. They focus smaller--looking for a way to treat the infection in its earliest stages. From laser-amputation to prayers, they bring as much information and talent to bare. Anything they can manage, really. The Corporation offers "free samples" of the Corruptor's collective corpses to anyone willing to research a treatment for it. (-4AP)

-Hephaestus engineers are tasked with calibrating the new, heavier-duty laser-variants to be more energy efficient. No need to waste volts, after all! (-4AP)

-A licence to produce Tithonus, Alastor, and Eurus designs are offered to the Grgl and Tassareans. The situation is dire, so the Corporation considers it an 'investment.' (-0AP)

-Hephaestus Enforcers are deployed on double-shifts, and ordered to prepare for possible riots in Corporate space. The Corporation reminds all of its denizens that aggressive actions between shareholders will result in the termination of their employment (basically exile). (-0AP)

With war raging not far from the Eadni Home Systems to the galactic west in Karass Space, the High Court immediately convenes to discuss the immediate future of the Eadni Navy and how it might be deployed in these ever expanding conflicts. For now, the entire Eadni fleet is called back to the Ibrahim system, with the exception of 4 frigates that protect the colonies of Hussein & Idris in the al’Noor system.

Large scale fleet operations begin over Eadn, training the fleet in high-stress combat scenarios and war games. For those situations that cannot be immediately replicated due to the current size of the fleet, large scale virtual exercises are held in which enemies of various types are simulated and defeated.

Activity

Despite the chaos around the galaxy, Armathwaite and its Colony of New Gibraltar remained calm. Corporations and Companies are hardly the targets of the Statists after all, not posing much of a threat, only opportunity. While disappointed that conflict was so close to his door, Edward knew that the Backhatta should have known the Redon would react to fleet engagements against his allies in the Karass Dominion. While remaining politically neutral through clever economics the Redon would be supported through use of bonds, loans and the likes.

Some troubled had brewed on the planet of Armathwaite, though both Backhatta and Redon employees were reminded that there would be no conflict on Armathwaite, shift patterns had to change to ensure as minimal interaction with both species as possible on the planet. The Company Policies, ethics and Security Forces ensured there would be no riot on Armathwaite. Thankfully New Gibraltar was purely a human Colony. The occasional bar brawl may occur but as per the Rule in acting in public to avoid the formation of Trade Unions there could be no real large gathering without the Company permitting that. The Redon and Backhatta valued their jobs, despite racial tensions if they were sent home by the Company they could end up drafted.

What did truly upset Edward and much of the board was seeing Protorian Freighters on the shipping lanes being attacked, a violation of the Non Aggression Principle, trade being attacked was seen as abhorrent. Though it would only be openly condemned and despite the United States presumably cutting off trade beforehand themselves, the SK Corporation would make it their PR victory by stating they cut off trade and agreements beforehand with no one the wiser.

Operations on Huizhou would continue as per normal, it was the Police's job to ensure that the Triads conducted their activities away from the docks and any areas where commerce occurred with what the Han perceive as Wairen. For now the Police had large numbers compared to the gangs, though as to how long this could last for no one can really say.

It was time to renew the Corrupter Contract, the Corporation was now ready to send out its forces again to assist its fellow humans and the alien community and earn a tidy profit while doing so. The Company would be sending its own Commander a Lieutenant Colonel of the Security Forces. They'd be sent to rendezvous with the Solarin Federation's own amassed Fleet.

Action Points

The Lancelot Destroyer would be sent out in secret and given its orders (0AP Mod Pls)

The Silver Fleet would mobilize to meet up with the Solarin Fleet, the Fleet would consist of One Support Carrier, Two Destroyers, Four Frigates, Six Corvettes. Carrying 150 of the Special Forces and their Strike Suit Fighters, 250 Mech Suit Infantry. (0AP)

The Silver Knight Corporation would offer the sales of bonds and offer loans to the Redon Imperium in their war effort, supporting them at least economically (0AP Mod)

A Continuation of Project Gawain would occur, attempting to make the experimental Mech using the Itoron for now. The next stage of the project would include creating the Miniaturized Xylorite Reactor that would in theory be able to power the various systems planned. (2AP)

A New Duke Destroyer would be ordered (3AP)

Two Frigates with Lancelot Technology would be ordered and be built on an off site shipyard in secret once more (4AP)
