As news out of the Hades Bombing becomes more and more clear, there comes the tragic news that one of the four deceased Asgard diplomatic corps officers assigned to the negotiations as observers was Lars Nielssen - the 26 year old son of Chancellor Skadi Nielssen. The Chancellor releases a brief statement on the issue and declines all interviews, missing several key sessions of the upper house. News of an impending resignation abounds.

In the heart of the capital, secret orders are signed. Protocols dating from the founding of the colony are put into place. Some would say that Asgard's principles died that day. Others that such an act was necessary, inevitable. War requires the compromise of ethics and practicality. But for this war, the old war, the undeclared war that never began and will never end the line between right and wrong was quietly paved over. The road from idealism to grim reality was opened.

0AP - Asgard joins the THC, acquiring numerous new technologies including:

  • Tri-phased Shields
  • Xylorite Reactors
  • Artificial Gravity
  • Ares II Lasers

As a result of this, research into these areas is suspended and the resources expended re-allocated to THC wide projects and more pressing Asgard interests.

0AP - Work begins on integrating these new technologies into Asgard's military and civilian sectors. All ships begin refit operations.

0AP - Trade established with the IRM and Andorra.

0AP - Probes are dispatched to survey the sector NORTH of Asgard's home sector. As is the case with all Asgarder probes, they are designed to self-destruct with Kalronian or Karass contacts are detected.

0AP - Using general intelligence gathered about local alien powers, the ARN stages a virtual reality wargames exercise to determine the strengths and weaknesses of Asgard's defences in the event of a hostile incursion. [[ENCOUNTER REQUESTED]]

0AP - Following the breakdown in relations between the THC and the USA, Asgard suspends its trade agreement with the USA until such time as stability is restored to the region. Some see this as a transparent ploy to please their THC allies. Economists, however, point to the fact that interstellar trade is already being bogged down by red tape from the sheer number of official trade partners. To facilitate trade from the now friendly THC nations, a new trade post will be required.

1AP - Research into the jumpsuits continues. Final designs to make thruster firing more uniform are implemented. Good results are shown on test courses, demonstrating greatly increased battlefield mobility. The final designs also include an Itoron-steel mesh-weave into the key body armour sections. Hopefully these additions will not delay the testing phase too harshly.

1AP - Work into improving Asgard sensor capabilities begins. Knowing that good intelligence can tip the tide in favour of an inferior side in a conflict, the idea of early warning of approaching hostile forces becomes of great interest. If the Kalronians, for instance, turned their ire toward Asgard, knowing they were coming and sending off the distress call to the Ganvius as soon as possible could mean the difference between stalemate or slaughter.

2AP - 2 corvettes are placed into production. They will utilise the newly available technologies.

3AP - A destroyer is placed into production. It will utilise the newly available technologies.

2AP - Resources are invested in the THC endeavour known as Project Shaaria.

The large Hephaestus transport made landfall, the hulking beast of itoron and metal landed in the central tarmac at AFB Pierce just 20Km outside of the capital New Plymouth, cracks and shell craters had been hastily filled in with sand as repairs were still underway to the planet. The massive craft touched down and shut down its engines, Several US army officers stood alongside the Ceri garrison and Ascardian garrison commanders. The group of officers watched as the large steel ramps clicked and a hiss of escaping air could be heard as several ramps lowered to ground level, As the sunlight flooded into the darkened cargo bay, several army engineers walked up the ramp and keyed a code into a console. The yellow lights of the droids optical receptors all turned on at once, the first thousand in the cargo bay let go of their legs as they slowly bent their knees coming to a full stand, in unison they raised their heads as they took their blasters from their backpack in swift motion holding them against their chest.

Star-Wars-Rebels-Last-Battle-3-10222016.jpg

Clanking echoed in the cargo bay as the first thousand began to march in perfect step down the ramp, the thousand marched in formation coming to a halt about 20 meters from the group of officers. Taking a few paces forward one droid with yellow markings stopped before the group of officers before presenting himself in a cheery, tinny, mechanical voice “OM-079854b Command model reporting for duty.” The droid touched his right metal hand to the side of his head above his optical receptor. The garrison commanders and the other officers looked among each other in a bit of confusion, after a few seconds of awkward silence an older man of graying hair took a step forward from the group to meet the droid, with his own bionic metal arm the officer returned the droids gesture, the droid lowered his hand, the droid froze for a few moments as to which the officer raised an eyebrow, the droid snapped back before speaking “Apologies sir, all units have not fully undergone the integration updates, I do not wish to confuse you with someone else  Major General Randall Holmes, 2nd Infantry division, military ID number D65-804-565.” With a sigh Randall Holmes nodded “Just General Holmes is fine commander.” The droid nodded its mechanical head “Roger Roger.” Holmes looked among the ranks of the first one thousand who stood perfectly still and silent, unusual even for the most disciplined of troops. “So Commander 79” The general was cut off “Correction sir my designation is OM-079854b Command model” The droid stated plainly to which the general nodded “There is going to be some work, starting off not everyone is going to be able to remember your full ID, so you will need to shorten it, at least when speaking with me or the other human officers for example you can be Commander 79, alright?” The droid nodded “Roger Roger, I will now refer to myself as Commander 79 as my unit identification number.” The general continued gazing around “Are your troops always this quiet?” The droid turned his head looking over the ranks of battle droids “Negative sir, almost all units are currently conversing with one another silently, whilst also listening to me converse with you, whilst also scanning the potential terrain for any hostiles.” Randall Holmes looked back to the Ceri, Ascard and other officers before continuing. “Very well Commander 79, you see that hangar over there? With the tables in front, have your units form up there, and ensure the units are listening to this right now.” The droid went silent for a few moments “General Holmes, I am pleased to report all silent conversations have ceased and all units are analysing my conversation with you.” Holmes nodded “Alright, all droids will approach the tables, it is there you will be given a designation and formed into sections, your battalion will be led by yourself, as well as a human liason, you are to be an infantry battalion. Each section will consist of 10 units, five will retain their original weapon and shall receive extra equipment. Out of the remaining five, one shall be the section commander and he shall also retain his original weapon as well as being given special leadership equipment, out of the final four, two shall be given extensive repair kits, one of the four shall be given the A-98 multirole rocket launcher and one shall receive the M-194 Squad support weapon. These sections will form the core of this battalion, all units once receiving their equipment are to report immediately to hangar seven, once in the hangar you are to proceed to runway seven as a group and embark a transport for the planet Hermes. You shall establish a camp from nothing but what you can find there. I expect it to be maintained and completed when I arrive in five days time.”

The droid stood quietly

“General Holmes my data banks tell me Hermes is a dune sea planet….how do you want me have the units build a camp?”  General Holmes smiled at the droid who stood just a few inches shorter than him “Study your data banks Commander 79, you shall find a way. Now get your unit underway, your human liaison will meet you on the runway.” The droid nodded saluting once more “Roger roger.” Before leading the large formation of clanking droids off towards the tables with columns of crates behind him. The General sighed as he looked towards the transport where the next 1000 were marching out before glancing at his watch “Five more hours.”

On the jointly occupied demilitarized jungle colony of Vulentum-1 the agreed upon one quarter of the garrison, is delivered by way of freighter, 4500 soldiers arrive, if you could call them that, They bear no identifying marks or patches and all wear the same uniform that completely masks their identities. More importantly they never speak. One could make an astute judgement in that these are not US Army soldiers.

Imperial Republic of Mankind

40k_imperial_aquila__transparent__by_fug

Location: Novam Domum, lake solaris

It was silent on Novam Domum except for the sounds of 4 men carrying a single coffin. It was a sad time for the IRM, the emperor who had guided them from earth to where they were now was gone. After many years and trials he had finally fallen, for many it was a celebration, for many more it was a tragedy. Now the IRM was more fractured than ever before with it's guardian no longer being there. Now here at a small lake outside of the Imperial city there were only 6 people, Lily Flowers Alexander Varellion's wife, his son Horus Varellion and 4 of his bodyguards that had not been present at the assassination. Then the 4 men lifted the coffin up for a final time and slowly put it down into the ground and would then slowly fill the hole back up with dirt. Meanwhilst the two family members stood there in complete silence with silent tears running from both their faces.

The emperor is dead

Location: Cadia, Imperial military academy

"MOVE YOU BUNCH OF FANCY GIRLS MOVE !!!!" sergeant Cutter would shout as the group of recruits crawled through the wet, cold and muddied grounds of the training area.  Recruit Timothy Faulks then quickly sped up his pace as he heaved in and out breathing loudly. This he would do with many others of his company crawling, heaving and walking across the hellish grounds called, the training track. One of the reasons why everyone avoided angering the sergeant was because the punishment would be 2 rounds around the track. And if you failed to complete that you would have to double it another day. No one has ever reached 16 rounds, because they either completed it in time or passed out from exhaustion at which point they were relieved of that particular punishment.

Timothy then continued his approach pulling forward, under the barbed wire with the help of his trusty rifle and determination. Unknown to most to him or any other recruit was that a small drone was constantly recording their movements from the trees or other hiding spots accros the mountains. At this very moment two men were watching the footage from these drones on one screen and on another there were statistics of all the recruits of the company. These two men were the director of this facility, an old man of almost 60 years old and a younger though still an adult man of around 30 years old. The 30 year old man would be wearing a hood, a utility belt and a piece of Itoron-plating being spread around various parts of his body protecting him whilst a light, strong leathery material would be under the steel plates and the parts of the body that needed mobility providing further protection.

The 60 year old man, director Hammer would speak then "What do you think of this new batch of recruits anyone who shows promise for joining your 'organization'." The director would say having slight distrust and distaste coming through his voice when he said the word organization. "Recruits Willis and Smith are strong and are specialists in surviving and combat, they have also taken up a leadership role in this group of men and have gotten a good amount of obedience from them, though there are some who remain stubborn in remaining independent but they will learn eventually through hard work." "Is it the recruit Timothy that you speak of now ?" the hooded would say in a low but clear voice commanding respect and authority through it. "Well I must say yes, the recruit is not very receptive to leadership and authority whilst being mostly average in combat and other exercises, he does not seem good soldier material, thinks too much for himself and question his superiors. This can not do in the military, this kind of attitude on the battlefield will make the difference between life or death but he will learn, everyone eventually does." The  hooded man had an almost  unreadable expression on his face before speaking in his usual voice with a steel undertone in it as always. "Mhm, I must agree on those points, he is not the best soldier and would not fit best in the military and he is extremely unlikely to ever raise above the normal rank and file soldier." "Like I said he is not the best soldier but we will pull him through, though he will remain average at best." the director would say with a slight tone of superiority and cockiness in it. "I must disagree." The director would look up clearly surprised. "Didn't you hear me talk, he is just average he is not a good soldier." "Exactly." The hooded man would say now with an edge in his voice. "Have you seen how he acts, what he is not strong in for physical strength he shows remarkable characteristics and if trained will have very good cunning, he can sneak like a shadow, he has a willingness to sacrifice himself for the greater good and he does not listen to his leaders whatever they say but to the content of what they say." The hooded man would glance towards the recruit Timothy.

"An almost perfect candidate for the inquisition."

The terrible attacks on Hades reminded many of the shell-shocked citizens about the corruptor incursion some fifteen years ago. Due to the terrible attacks, the Board became considerably disorganised with the death of Phillip Narau, and later, Steven Penrith. With the two commanding pillars of the Board gone, infighting and argumentation quickly spread across the planet. The head of the HERMES program Jim Bean took the reigns of CEO by the vote of the Board, and with his negotiation skills he settled the divisions and brought order to the commanding structure of the Corporation. With him in control, a full investigation of the attack is performed with the aid of many other human nations, and the co-operation of numerous alien ones.

Steven Penrith's suicide caught his family completely off-guard. His son was especially hard hit, and refused to leave his room for a week. Since he was deemed too young to head the company, Jim Bean acts as CEO until he is considered old enough to take over. Until then, he would continue his education while his company shares would be under the guardianship of his mother, Sally Penrith.

With the end of the lock-down, the remaining parties of the delegates are allowed to leave the planet. However, the Enforcers are still on the street in droves, keeping a watchful eye on all proceedings. A surprising number of the smiling HERMES agents are also on the planet. Seemingly everywhere. Watching.

The Acquisition Frenzy officially ends, with commerce normalising and balancing to the chaotic norm. Whatever Aurora was, it has been replaced by ravenous capitalists, with only the scientific institutions retaining any form of the old Auroran culture. The difference between a Hades employee and an Auroran employee is the accent. Soon, maybe that will be gone as well.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

:://Excerpt from quantum holovision broadcast 'HEPHAESTUS ULTRA-NEWS!'//::

A pair of colourful anchors sit behind an equally colourful desk. Above their heads, a massive screen flashes 'Hephaestus Ultra-News'. The anchors, despite their lively appearance, look tired, and shabby. The tattooed anchor wearing a cyan three-piece suit speaks gravely as he stares at the camera.

"... officially confirmed that CEO Penrith has passed away. The Board is not currently commenting any further on the nature of his death, but there is considerable speculation that it may be connected to the recent attack at the HCAC."

The other fluffy-haired anchor places her finger to her earpiece briefly and listens intently.

"It appears acting CEO Jim Bean is about to address the press outside of the HCAC right now. We're going over to that now."

The image cuts to a lectern where Jim Bean is standing. He is without his trade-mark smile, and the bags under his eyes might indicate a lack of sleep. He begins to speak in a raspy voice.

"The Hephaestus Board would like to express our deepest apologies for the loss of life that has occurred on our Administration world. Despite our security measures an attack was performed in the heart of our corporation--one which lead to the deaths of many important figures in the Southern Galaxy. Our sympathy goes out to every nation and individual affected by these horrific attacks. We hope that, despite this tragedy, the peace process may continue unabated. An agreement was reached mere moments before the first explosion, if footage of the event can be believed."

Jim takes a deep breath before continuing.

Extensive investigations conducted by Corporate agents and other volunteering agencies have found the following;

"A Galaron employee who had been a part of the Hephaestus family for almost two years violated his contract by planting explosives beneath the conference room for the meeting delegates, and in the transport of the Redon. Both explosives were placed through supposed routine maintenance, and neither Enforcers or Redon guards noticed during security sweeps.

Upon planting the explosives, the Galaron left Corporate space for the GTFO, where a safehouse was prepared for him. A Tassaran arrived, wherein the Galaron agent was assassinated in order to tie up loose ends.

After tracking the Tassaran to his namesake's republic, it was discovered that he received payment for the murder via bank transfer in the Skellar Kingdom. Here, a Skellar who went only by the name of "Val" transferred payment. Tracking his movements halfway across the galaxy, agents observed him exiting the same train at four different stops without getting back on, and entering a hotel without ever leaving.

A picture with "Artist's impression" written beneath is pops up on the screen.

SDpIvmN.png

At said hotel, we found a box that, when opened, contained a smaller box, and so on and so on..."

Jim was clearly trying to move through his statement quickly, at this point.

"However, the perpetrator was not found. Analysts have concluded that he may have been in possession of arcane teleportation technology, or somehow managed to slip past all cameras, witnesses, and law-enforcement on five separate occasions.

Within his boxes contained this symbol, which is ah, a somewhat-obscure symbol from a northern-galactic religion. When cross-referencing these facts with other murders over history, we found three other cases in the galaxy where similar symbols were found. The same boxes and symbol, etcetera. There is, however, no connection between them.

x3EYf6Y.jpg

It can therefore be assumed that these people were not politically motivated, but were actors on behalf of someone else. Since none of the southern-galactic leaders went unscathed, we can assume that this was not orchestrated by any of the leaders at the table that dreadful day. We have suspicions that some unrelated power may have hired this band of pretentious, arrogant wankers to butcher the delegates in order to continue the war. We hope that all the concerned parties will consider this.

We will not make excuses for ourselves. The Corporation has failed all those who came into our space. We felt we were ready for such tasks, but clearly we were wrong.

Once more, our hearts and sympathy go to all those who lost their lives.

If anyone has any information, we urge you to contact your local law-enforcement.

Jim nods once, and proceeds back through the doors of the HCAC, flanked by Enforcers.

[Redacted] : Secret Facility

d50fb72e7ae71c85981e439e8257a2f8.jpg

As the four leaders, Pablo, Josè, Isabella, and Sonia, walked through the metal corridors with their shoes clanking against the grated floor, metallic clanking and electrical crackling could be heard in the background. The four walked into a small room with a table and six seat as the door was sealed behind them with a loud crash. Fernando was in one of the seats, and a lady with an electronic tablet in another.

"Welcome, Princes and Advisors, I know we have important things to talk about, so if you have any updates please say them now and be brief. My report has good tidings as Project H.I.P.S. has finally begun getting some results. A new mesh created from the itoron metal has been produced, and it does well hiding ship signatures from long-distance scanners. We are working on perfecting the technology as it is," said the lady in a kind yet focused tone.

"Yes, however the current version of this mesh has not yet been incorporated into our ships, and we will wait until miss Alicia believes her scientists have perfected the material. Speaking of which, I have another two corvettes being put into production with the surplus goods coming in from trade.

Sonia cleared her throat, "This relates to the trade Fernando speaks of, but apparently our association with the Trade Federation has found us with many new merchants pouring in. We believe part of it has to do with our close proximity to the Trade Federation as well, so some ships are now coming to Andorra la Nova rather than over there. Also, there was some error in accounting last year, so we ended up with a small bonus this year." She nodded, signaling she was done.

"According to my sources in immigration, there have been some aliens that have found residence within our city. They are called Cevelli and 1,500 of them have come in. More or less they appear human, according to what I'm told. I have set up a survey to discover why these newcomers decided to come to Andorra as apposed to going to our competition."

"I have worked with Isabella in this regard to discover what it is that the Cevelli like here. Also, I have decided to give some resources to our economy officials as well as some freelance advertising companies to try and well..." He stopped, looking for the right words to say, "...take advantage of the trade routes that the Trade Federation has in place. I have tasked them specifically with making Andorran trade more appealing than theirs via tourism, guest services, preferable economic situations, or enhancing whatever Isabella's survey shows that the aliens like."

"Is that all?" Silence. "Good. Now, I believe Prince Pablo had some specific concerns that he wanted to express."

Pablo, having been silent the whole meeting thus far, began speaking with an excited fervor, "Yes, well I have noticed a few trends in the actions of numerous governments in our galaxy. While it is hard to say for sure what any of them are truly up to, some of them it seems like they sometimes aren't working to their full potential."

"I don't see how that is a concern, sir? What is the matter?"

"Well, I did some thinking. At first I thought they were just lazy, or maybe hoarding their goods for a 'rainy day.' But as I looked in depth into some of them, it appeared out of character for them to be either."

"What are you inferring?"

"Well... this may sound like paranoia... but I believe some of them may have secret, shady projects being undergone. I mean... there is a lot of war and it would be logical for strong countries like them to make some precautions."

"I think you might be overthinking this a bit Pablo."

"No, I'm pretty sure I'm onto something, but regardless I think we should play it smart to get up to their level. After all, they have had greater resources than us for a long while, so secrets or no there is little chance we can achieve the greatness for Andorra that we want if we go the... traditional route." He paused briefly, collecting his thoughts, "So I have come up with an idea for a project of our own. It would be a great jump-start to get us into the big leagues if it were successful."

"Well then, please explain this idea."

As the council spoke more about Pablo's idea, they decided it would be a wise decision to at least look into the possibility of such an endeavor. So, thinking about the future of the nation, Project ATM began then and there, and the first check was deposited.

"I know about your cyborg coconut army, Skellar!"

Activity:

Among all else, the 4,000 Canadian soldiers land on the shipyard circling the planet of Valentum-1. After securing the station, and eventually getting a very detailed map of the entire construct, the U.C.F. soldiers go to work in converting the station from shipyard, into a floating bunker. Although it can still serve it’s purpose as a shipyard, the U.C.F. forces occupy a large majority of it and severely slow any means of efficient production.

With the ever pursuing threat of the Keerim in the eastern part of the galaxy, the U.C.F. begins consulting possible remedies to the sickness that is the Keerim.

The generals of the U.C.F. are none the less excited of the completion of Project: GOLIATH. The doctrine of the U.C.F. changes immensely due to this new weapon that is sure to be utilized by the Army and Marines alike. The outcome of all of these man hours working on the project, is the A.T.C.- 74.

The streetlights below blurred together, as Hanying merely stared past them into nothingness. The Protorians had taken the corpse of Salraku Remvate, the Archivar, back to their ship long ago, but it was hard to truly believe he was gone. If even such men could die, then what hope had anyone?

Chaal stood behind her now, but for once Hanying’s mental blocks were up, and her guardian would not push past them, though the Saryn’s worry and confusion were evident. She didn’t know why she kept them up now: nobody could be trusted more than Chaal. But thoughts were swirling through her mind wildly, and not all of them were fit to be witnessed by anyone else.

A few days ago, the world had been so clear, its order so obvious, her purpose in it and what she could achieve never in doubt. But after what she had seen in that motionless hospital room, nothing made sense anymore. Perhaps there was a grand design in the universe. Perhaps not. Perhaps it didn’t matter.

“I should have just asked who was responsible for this.”

“Asked who, young one?”

Hanying shook her head. “Nobody,” she replied, and looked up, towards the stars. There would be chaos, now. More war. The Archivar’s death would only fan the flames, ironically achieving the opposite of what he had set out to do. She did not know what her role in the coming days would be, and she knew that Chaal, for all her wisdom, would not know either.

For the first time in years, Hanying looked out into space and thought of Jie. The Jinyiwei captain had always been so sure of himself. He always knew exactly what his role was, and he did it effectively without a second thought. As she gazed into the abyss, Hanying wondered if he was still alright.

----------

Jie could not do the same for her.

His hair was grey now, his chin covered in a beard, his face rapidly aged by six years of war. He favored his left leg, his right having been injured when a rescued Ka’cezh soldier turned out to be one of the infected. The resulting Corruptor had been put down before it could wreak havoc, but only just. His mouth was locked in a constant scowl, his thoughts of home extinguished by sorrow and fury, all directed north, to the enemy.

“Send the destroyers in an envelopment maneuver,” he growled, staring at the Corruptor defense station floating before the Ly’rezh Bant. “Nothing leaves this sector alive.”

“Sir, the risk of exposing our flagship may not be worth the-”

Nothing leaves alive, Commander. Not today. Send the order, and bring full power to the forward shields. If we look ‘exposed’ to them, they can damn well try us.”

“Aye, Commodore!” replied the communications officer in the back of the bridge. Jie leaned back in his chair, his teeth gritting as the station scrambled its fighters, which formed up with several small warships. It was from here that the fateful ambush on the Star Lord had been organized. They would pay for their crimes.

Indeed, the enemy seemed to think an unguarded battleship was too juicy a target to ignore, and even as they were surrounded the force began to rush towards the flagship. Her captain only grinned, and ordered the destroyers to set about tearing the base apart.

“Spread our fire around the edges of the group, and shoot down anything that tries to flank. When they fight us, they’ll do it head-on, and they’ll die close together.”

“They’re within missile range, sir. We can likely destroy a good portion of them before they come closer.”

Jie shook his head as the Corruptors approached, hemmed in tighter and tighter by the cone of laser fire. “I will not waste a single missile more than I have to on this filth. Keep them at the ready, but hold our fire.”

In the distance, a burst of light illuminated the battlefield as one of the defense station’s power cores was pierced, taking a chunk of the structure with it. Its guns were fully engaged now in fending off the Ka’cezh task force, but had yet to fell any of the destroyers. Good. And just as the light from that explosion faded, another took its place as one of the approaching ships, a light cruiser by the looks of it, tried to venture out of the cone and was torn apart as the Ly’rezh Bant quickly made it the main target.

“Fire,” the commodore said at last, and the exhaust trails of missiles streaked away from the battleship, towards the tightly-packed Corruptor fleet. The fighters died first, consumed by the dozen as they rushed to their target, but it was barely even a moment before warships fell too, their armor melting in trizendrium fire. Jie only nodded in satisfaction.

“The spiders are getting desperate,” he remarked.

“Indeed, sir. A few years ago they never would have taken such obvious bait.” Gat’karon winked at his Han superior, and was met with the bare beginnings of a smile on Jie’s grimacing face. Outside, the Corruptor fleet was attempting to regroup, but now the flagship’s lasers held no mercy, aiming at anything and everything that looked like it was still capable of fighting.

The armrest console on the command chair blinked to life. It was an official request for communication...from Yuguo, of all places. Jie’s eyebrows rose as he read the notice.

“Commander, you may take the con for a moment.” He got to his feet. “This battle is nearly won, and this must be urgent.” The two saluted each other before the Ka’cezh took the command chair, and Jie walked to his ready room.

What could the Dominion possibly want from him?

----------

Han authorities greedily smile as far over a hundred thousand citizens of Xie arrive in Dominion space. Their ships arrive in the port city of Huizhou, where each is subjected to the Dominion’s rapid genotyping process to determine whether or not they are truly ethnic Han. In the end, the vast majority are in fact descended from pure Chinese, but the remainder are not treated like any other Wairen. For seeking to serve the glorious Han Dominion, they are instead categorized permanently as ‘Xie,’ a title which carries with it nearly full citizenship, while barring them from serving in the intelligence agency. Most settle in Huizhou, where they find the most open society, if not the cleanest.

On the alpine world Jianshan, the colonists have finally obtained the equipment and knowledge they need to begin extracting the planet’s natural wealth. Soon, xylorite mines are established throughout its sprawling mountain ranges, to be brought to the lowlands for refining, and then to be shipped to the rest of the Dominion and beyond.

Blessed with a sudden influx of population, the Daos firmly believe that the Han are now capable of expanding their borders. Yet another colonial freighter is put into construction, and the HSF Beijing is dispatched to the sector immediately west of the Shaanxi system. Their orders are to seek out habitable planets, those bearing strategic resources, or those bearing interesting forms of life.

The KUS Humanitarian office was full, many people had been caught outside during the blizzard and gotten lost, small rations of food were handed out to the vast sea of humans, one by one they left the building and headed out to find the houses they had been assigned to.

"We can't handle the amount of people we get with our minuscule supplies."

"I understand the concern but if they don't send more they can't spare more, I'm sure the King is investing into more important matters."

"Like what? Living it up with more food than everyone else? I don't care whatever he did on the way here, he can go to hell."

"Out."

"Hey, I'm allowed to speak my mind."

"Leave, Or I'll have someone drag you out."

A rather irritated looking man stormed out of the door as a woman put a hand to her head, she then turned to a nearby worker

"I can't believe how many times we get people like that, can you?"

The worker just shrugged and continued to hand out small rations consisting of bread, water and the occasional biscuit

"I'm going on break.."

The woman walked out of the building, looked up at the sign and sighed loudly, before walking down the alleyway and onto the main street, leaving nothing behind her apart from the sound of snow crunching and a small trail of footprints

In the wake of the Hades bombing, the entirety of the Protorian population finds itself enveloped in grief as the Archivar’s body returns to the Protorian homeworld. Beneath the throne of the grand archive from which he imbued so many with wisdom, his body becomes forever enshrined in an ornate monument to his unrivaled  power and wisdom. Millions attend the massive ceremony marking his enshrinement, and billions more watch it on various sources of visual media.

Following this beautiful ceremony, the Protorian Council announces that it will enter a week of mourning for the Archivar, and encourages the population to join them in this.

THE HOLY KINGDOM OF EADN
A second Eadni shipyard is completed in above their oldest colony, giving them the capacity to augment their fleet with destroyer class ships and lower. It should help free up space on the main shipyard.

A destroyer is finished within the year.

Eadni industry roars ahead with a third consecutive year of investments by the state.

THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen.

Star Republic of Edonia
Three frigates are completed by years end, bolstering the Star Republic’s fleet. These frigates are then equipped with the improved ammunition which becomes capable of being fired from Eadni mass drivers.
The Plasma Cannon Project enters testing… [Skype].

THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen.

The testing of tri-phased shielding proves incredibly difficult and frustrating once again as the additional generator leads to a significant amount of instability as the entire lab overheat, resulting in a massive explosion and the destruction of the prototype as well as the lab.

The targeting computer testing yields rather promising results as it drastically improves the accuracy of the Star Republic’s smaller kinetic weapons. Several more complex algorithms will be needed to really make this computer useful on ships larger than destroyers, but overall the improvements are definitely a step in the right direction.

Whilst scanning for new materials, the Edonians discover a strange pool sof a sort of liquidy substance dotting the surface of a smaller world in one of their southern sectors. Sensors indicate that this liquid is incredibly dense, almost as dense as Itoron, but completely foreign in its makeup.

The Lithruans receive the Edonian delegation to begin discussion - Skype.

The Trade Federation

Assuming the Ymorians are compensated for their work, they are more than happy to place generators capable of sustaining the new shields onboard the Nexus.

The precautions undertaken by the Trade Federation are largely understood, and the precedures do well to keep out most contraband. The customs officers of the Federation take amusement in the strange oddities they find among alien visitors, many carrying strange foods or otherwise that present potential bacteria dangers to the Federation.

Project Theia - Skype.

Project Tarot - Skype.

The Zykra do not budge on their current state of affairs and do not accept the idea proposed for the shipyard. For now, they continue trading with the TF as before but without any special arrangements.

The loosening of the C U N T and its resources does well to educate its students, and many who graduate from there go on to serve valuable roles in negotiations and trade.

The Ka’Czech Lord of Stars denies the idea of making the TF a sort of demilitarized zone and declares that military ships will pass freely through the area without issue, seeing as the TF cannot really do much about it. The Ka’Czech, in unison with several other Northern naitons, kindly remind the TF of their place in the galaxy, stating that to them they are nothing more than a sort of gas station, a convenient stop on their route south to wage their wars and make their profits. This statement does not do well for business within the Federation either, as no investments come in to the smaller space stations.

[Eric, I know there’s several things here that may be missing. Hit Czar up on Skype for what I missed, as some of the alien stuff I’m not equipped to address.]

Kingdom of Armathwaite/Silver Knight Corporation
Secret Project! Secret Project! Through the mountain…

The sniffing out of Armathwaite criminals yields some interesting results as several large criminal operations are discovered, however these lack ties to any foreign elements and are ultimately of little consequence. With the destruction of USA spying facilities after their surrender to the T.H.C, nothing else of consequence is discovered.

The Light Cruiser and the 100 Gawain mechs are completed over the course of the year, both strengthening the fleet of the Armathwaite.

The Protorians, Redons, and Backhatta all accept this idea of talking and offer the Armathwaite the opportunity to discuss this further [Skype].

Thulean Republic

Project Taranis.

The colonial freighter is almost completed, needs just a few more resources to finish. The Destroyer is completed soon thereafter. The shipyard then moves to refitting the Thulean fleet, which it also completes by years end.

Again, the armed forces of the Republic gain a significant boost in recruits with another 3,000 men joining the cause. They’re emboldened now by the submission of the USA to the T.H.C.

THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen.

The L.C. receives this offer and would like to negotiate with the Thuleans further [Skype].

The People's Agrarian Republic
The P.A.R completes their trade station within the year, pouring a significant amount of resources into doing so. [+3 Trade Relations] Their industry also sees a significant improvement as well.

Advanced Robotics Research proceeds [Skype].

The aid reaches the Edonians without any issue.

The Solarin Federation
The Solarin Federation successfully sends aid to the Eadni.

THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen.

2 Centurian Frigates are completed and deployed to the Solarin Fleet by the end of the year. Their fighters are also completed around the same time.
Project EVE. Spreadsheets, mining, and such.

The Protorians receive the Solarin envoys [Skype].

Asgard Republic
Trade is successfully established with the IRM and Andorrans. Trade with the USA is halted, effectively ending any exchange in goods. Joining the THC proves highly profitable for the Asgardians as they gain access to several new technologies.

A pair of corvettes are completed by the middle of the year. The destroyer is finished soon thereafter. With the increased size of the Asgardian fleet and increasing ambitions outside of their own sector, the wargames begin in their simulated reality. [Czar for result]

The modifications made to the jumpsuits prove to be the final ones required as the armor now boasts stability and strength with the new mesh-weave. Most engineers are confident now that this armor is battle ready, and they would be correct.

The work into the improvements of sensor capabilities sees some minor successes in its first year of development. More detailed cross-sections of larger ships capable of being detected at greater ranges, though the Asgardians are far from a signficant sensor range.

THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen.

United States Of Arcturus
The reparations are sent to the Thuleans and Solarins, reaching them without issue, a good sign for the Arcturians who didn’t need any further trouble.

Project Infallible and Operation by Dawn’s Early Light [Skype].

Imperial Republic of Mankind
Three secret projects: Shadowblade, Longshot, and Gamins. [Skype]

The first stages of the construction of the Imperial University at Cadia garner a tremendous amount of interest from civil engineers and artists from all over the Imperium, dozens of whom petition the government with ideas for elegant designs and state-of-the-art areas for teaching, study, and habitation. The Imperium need merely to take their pick at any of these very sophisticated designs. For the next stage, the Imperium will need to address the actual learning curriculum and decide how they might go about hiring teachers, many of whom who still remain from Earth would likely be incapable of handling the advanced curriculum the University would likely implement.

Hephaestus Enterprises
The group of destroyers is completed by the end of the year without issue with Hephaestus engineers becoming quite good at churning them out. Hephaestus Enterprises’ ambitious recruitment campaign draws capable professors from several Southern nations, especially from those looking to escape some of the more dangerous nations in the South. The largest group of professors seem to be Tassarean.

Despite the massive amount of resources and scanning that occurs on throughout the Corporation’s systems, nothing of significance is found save an abandoned Firstborn city [Skype for details].

The mining colony on the Itoron colony is established and so capitalism thrives!

Andorra
Project HIPPS - Skype.
Project ATM - Skype.

The Andorran Kingdom produces two corvettes by the end of the year.

Many Cevelli simply state that they came here to find new opportunities that they otherwise might not have found on their homeworld, or simply to trade with the Human population of Andorra. Many express indifference to the Andorran leadership and do not really see themselves as Andorrans in any sort of patriotic, nationalist sort of way.

United Canadian Front

Project Goliath is now complete, and as such four hundred-fifty ATC-74’s are put into construction and completed by the end of the year. Similarly, the Support Carrier’s production is completed by the year’s end. All U.C.F. fleets are accordingly retrofitted while 1,000 T-60 suits are made.

The Han Dominion
[REDACTED]
Project Lance. [Skype]
The colony ship is completed by the end of the year along with the construction and opening of a new Xylorite mine. The mining industries of the Dominion rejoice as a second deposit of Xylorite is quickly found as a result of their surveys in their westernmost territorial claim, bordering the Ganvius.

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta
The twin colony ships are completed by the end of the year with citizens of Malta from all walks of life and race clamoring to board.

THC Project Shaaria: The Alliance’s ties strengthen.
Project Star Trek - Skype

Whilst being able to cross-connect some dots between the weapon and quantum mechanics, they toss up more riddles than answers, leading to no mentionable results.

The xylorite mine is finished, increasing the industrial capacity of the Maltese. Additionally, the construction of the Veneti house continues. It is about a quarter of the way toward being on the scale of the House of Rhodium, whether or not the Maltese wish to continue this would be up to them.  Maltese ships are successfully retrofitted.

The Kingdom of Unified Systems
A prototype model of the armor using the new material is completed, and it proves resistant to Earth-based ballistics. For now though, this armor is incredibly immobile and the metal proves difficult to mold. More research will have to be done before steps can be taken toward mass production.

Agricultural production gains a slight boost as a result of the KUS investments while two corvettes are completed by the end of the year.

Free Human Technocracy
The free cybernetics are received by several of the hospitals on Hades responding to the non-fatal injuries from the Summit Bombing. The quality of these cybernetics is revealed to the general public through such actions and Kyber Korps gains several new customers.

Psionics & Cybernetics [Skype]

More and more tourists begin to flock to Tropico as the facilities are significantly upgraded.

Meanwhile, in their northernmost territorial claim, the F.H.T. discovers a rather average deposit of Itoron. Regardless of the size, it is a nice boost to industry once a mine can be established there.

Events

In a galactic shock, the Ganvius and Kalronians come to terms on a peace settlement that results in some territorial concessions though otherwise nothing consequential rises from the matter. Perhaps they feel inspired by the peace efforts of the younger nations in the south, or perhaps they’re just weary of fighting. Whatever the cause, the fighting has stopped.

Meanwhile, the L.C. begins to turn their attention away from offensive attacks against the Keerim, instead heavily fortifying the borderlands of the Skellar Kingdom and Libellan Union. These worlds, already once brought under the Keerim yoke, serve as a sort of buffer against a renewed Keerim assault and a stage point for their own assaults into Keerim space.

Without much surprise to anyone observing the massive warfleet assembled in the Carina Cluster, the Darkul finally launch their invasion into Ar’gakari territory with an overwhelming force of 18,000 ships of all sorts of classes. Despite serious preparations on the end of the Ar’gakari who expected this attack, the Darkul invasion fleet tears through system after system and sector after sector, driving the Ar’gakari closer and closer to destruction.

The Kingdom of Unified Systems

"Rule Britannia."

uk.png.b2e4b37739548ed9ec67f50a113b2331.png

A woman would stand up inside a large room with many people sited around and the King sat above watching carefully

"We need to bring the Humanitarian Service to other nations, it has proved successful here, we kept people fed and healthy while the houses got built!"

A man would stand up and speak loudly in response

"And who do you propose we aid? I don't suppose you know any nations that have worse conditions than us?"

The woman would furrow her brow and look into his eyes

"The poor exist on every planet on which civilised life has formed, I'm sure."

The King would then stand and look upon everyone

"I didn't come here to listen to petty infighting, I wanted ideas, plans! And I put you in charge of this service did I not Lyara?"

Lyara bowed and then nodded

"You did..Your Majesty.."

"At least you know how to address me.. Do whatever you want with the organisation, I put you in charge for a reason, I don't bother with trivial matters."

The King looked across the room to certain figures

"I want the scientists and engineers to come and discuss any projects with me now. The meeting is dismissed."

Eight figures excluding the King then stood and walked into a private room, followed by the King and two armed men

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta

 170px-Coat_of_arms_of_the_Sovereign_Mili

They say crime doesn’t happen on Maltese worlds.

As Sam drew open his curtains to the rising M2 star above Florenziat, red streams of light poured into his state-issued apartment and over the white buildings of the city center of New Florence.

Hunger+Games+city+futuristic+garden+design.jpg

Once he donned the brown uniform of the uninitiated auxiliaries of the Order, he stepped out onto the faux-marble and sidewalk pavings of the city, the valley it sat within serving as a bowl for the morning fog. He ate breakfast in a small cafe, 5 lira for an egg-and-sausage sandwich and Xoballius Rainbow Fruit juice, to the just-beginning sounds of morning colony announcements and the arrivals and departures of civilian ships both Maltese and alien. Looking out the windows of the cafe, aged street cleaners pulling wheeled hydraulics pumps sprayed the walkways and groups of children in school uniforms ran towards the academics district. Across from him, an aged man in the white uniform of a First Class ate beef noodle soup while feeding biscuits to his Neapolitan mastiff - a signal both that he had lira to spare and that he had been in the Order’s navy, where the dogs are retirement and promotion presents. As Sam bit into his sandwich, a young woman, Ascardian by her gray eyes, passed him. He reached behind him a few minutes later, taking the black instrument case and leaving.

Walking the streets of the bustling colony, his daily orders pinged onto his communicator tablet. Engineering work. The city comes to life, tens of thousands getting into their cars and on their motorcycles, the near-silence of their electric engines deafening to the man as he walked towards the school district, towards that past life.

As he stepped onto the grounds of the Accademia di Lombardi, into its polished hallways and past its holoscreen-covered walls, he reminisced. It was in an institution just like this, in the House of Rhodium, that he had proposed to Mary. Now she had children, a ranked husband, a seat in High Command, and he was a maintenance worker. The yearly judgments hadn’t helped, either, and he had just kept falling in the hierarchy. Within three years he’d be cast out, the first to graduate from a B class and do so.

Sam halted in front of Classroom 3-A. Those seniors all but guaranteed knighthoods and the fast track within the Order. He opened the sleek black case, pulling out the assault rifle within. As he opened the door, shots rang out.

-

“...empted terrorist Samuel Markewitz, age 47, was killed at approximately 0823 NF time by five shots to the head and seven to the chest area. There were no casualties among the students. He was a recently promoted auxiliary of the Order. Authorities were tipped off by Sir Franz Hohenberg, FC, after the auxiliary was seen carrying a black instrument case. The woman that dropped the case is not a Maltese citizen, though analysts say it is unlikely she was Ascardian.”

“He was then tracked walking from the Cafe Mariota to the Accademia, where students began emergency drills and weapon clearance was enabled.” At this, the male anchor turns to the female. “How strange, Jane, is it not? Carrying weapons in instrument cases. Like a cliched Hollywood movie.”

“Yes indeed, Mark. Next up - Why the price of Rainbow Fruit Jell-O packs has gone down to .76 lira, and the Order’s expected expansion towards the Keerim Imperium.”

They say crime doesn’t happen on Maltese worlds.

2 AP - The House of Rhodius was, quite frankly, not well defended. Painfully so, with defenses on the planet itself lacking. The leadership determined this must change, and so government resources are dedicated to a massive tri-phased shield generator to be built for the House, powered by reactors both xylorite and fusion, to defend it from bombardment or other attacks and make it almost a citadel. Furthermore, plans for a potential shield around the whole world are asked to be drawn up by any Ganvius engineers.

1 AP towards continued Maltense resort buildup.

Damaged by the secondary Trizendium munitions that had been loaded less than a week earlier setting off mysteriously while still in port, the Maltese fleet repairs itself on Rhodium and in orbit.

Almost 20 years into its operation, a young Maltese High Command officer named Albert Rockefeller finds something strange - the Rhodium xylorite mine wasn't built by the Order, as he had been taught in school. Hastily assembling a small legion of fifty soldiers and many more scientists, geologists, and engineers, he moves to investigate.

0AP - Given the chaos in the galaxy, Asgard begins an initiative to encourage immigration from the more wartorn areas of the galaxy. With so many disposessed by the tides of war ingulfing many planets and leaving them in ruins, as well as the oppression faced by many, Asgard announces its Refugee Settlement Program. Vanaheim is a large planet with a small pioneer population and enough land and potential food for millions of people. Building on Asgard's tradition of self-sufficient enclaves (and a successful pilot scheme run with the 5000 Xie immigrants who arrived the previous year), positions are offered to refugees and immigrants, human and alien, in Asgarder-run enclaves or the opportunity for whole communities to uproot and settle on the verdant world of Vanaheim. As long as they follow are friendly and follow the broadstrokes of Asgarder law in regard to civil liberties, Asgarder law allows enclaves and communes broad autonomy in governance and local practice - ideal for peoples left without homes to rebuild what they lost on a new planet.

0AP - Probes are dispatched to the sector south of Vanaheim. They are on the look out for strategic resources, habitable worlds and interesting anomalies - knowledge of firstborn energy signatures from decades of study of their own firstborn ruins will be used to locate similiar technology, if present. Probes are also dispatched to the sector south of Asgard, with the same mission.

1AP - Following schematics obtained from the THC, Asgard's military factories begin work on the production of Ares II laser rifles. While there's much to be said for simply shooting your target with bullets till it falls apart, laser rifles have minimal recoil, no bullet drop and significantly more punching power - not to mention their ability to damage shielding. Analysts aim for the production of 1000 Ares II rifles before year's end. Asgard's special forces divisions begin training with prototypes immediately.

1AP - With the testing and prototyping phase of Jump-Suit development complete, the new armour is placed into production. As many as can be produced this year are ordered, with the intent of equipping them on special forces and marines as an initial trial run before more extensive roll-outs to the standing armed forces and exploratory crews.

1AP - Efforts are taken to turn the simple xylorite mining operations on Vanaheim into a full on industrial scale mining and refining complex. If xylorite is the fuel of the future, Asgard will need a lot more of it. ((Xylorite Mine built on Vanaheim)).

1AP - Sensor improvements continue. While scans to determine weaknesses are a consideration, early warning of approaching vessels is a priority. The ability to detect vessels at warp prior to entering the system or even the sector is a must in any early warning system, especially when more often than not reinforcements will be necessary for victory.

1AP - The groundwork designs and scaffold of a dedicated Trade Station are put into place at a point in the Asgard System convenient for travel to Asgard and Muspel, as well as being close to the system's more common warp in points from southern nations.

2AP - Resources are invested in the THC endeavour known as Project Distantiam.

3AP - A new destroyer is put into production.
