Z3r05t4r 854 Author Share Posted February 2, 2018 Chapter II: Old Shadows 2149 War is all about. The Ka’cezh Star Empire continuing down the path of destruction, as the Darkul and Zaxx continue their advance, winning additional battles on the onset of this year. The Kalronians are equally relentless, actively pushing the Ganvius back, reclaiming one world after another. If it continues this way, it might be only a question of time when they begin to conquer worlds originally not their own. All in the while, chaos will brew, grow, consume the galaxy, with only death and decay on the horizon, the grim reaper laughing and dancing to the tune of war. ---- Republican Systems of Edonia The Dragon Snake development and improvement continues without change, yet there are some design difficulties delaying it from being finished this year. All four vessels are finished as planned, ready to enter combat for Edonia and fight for their people. Nothing catches their eye, except for what appears to be a dormant Replicant facility North-east of the capital sector. It went undetected before, but now with thorough examination of the solar systems it became apparent. And Leopoldo is assigned a spot in the exchange program. The Ganvius Nation accepts these troops yet does not deploy them this year, despite all misfortune in the current war. They are holding them in reserve. Sanctum Regnum Melitae Both Star Trek and the MD device continue their long journeys. (Skype) Project Sicily on the other hand has only just begun. The Maltese students are soon at universities in the LC too, more in the Redon Imperium, and even in the Tassaran Republic a duo can be found. One colony ship leaves, whilst another enters and finishes construction. Installing the new project will take a while though. On the other hand, the migration adverts and attempts to “ferry” people somewhere shows little success. With the onset of major warfare in the North, things are troublesome. Alike their Edonian partners they do find another, but active Replicant facility in the sector to the southeast bordering the Edonians. Unexpected, the invite being taken kindly, widespread refusal arrives from the various nations. Everything points towards war and to war everyone shall go it seems. Andorra Astounding successes mark the Andorrans this year. (Skype) The trade outpost begins expansion, but then the shipyards do finish their ships though, ready for orders, freshly manned. New Siam is very appreciative for the funding received, but declines to receive any further funding from Andorra. They are not in shortage of anything, so they claim. And another world is claimed by the Andorran people, home to more than just Humans. Trade Federation In the jungle the mighty jungle, the TF colonizes tonight. With two new ships and an expanded trade station. New combat craft are ready for deployment and to be carried through the vast expanses of space. The installation on the planet is fully repaired, given the damage was not very substantial. On behest of Commander Aldaar, Margek personally accepts the meeting, the visitors are welcome to head to the current Saryn homeworld. Of the sent trade offers, the Confederation and Tassaran Republic accept. The Redon Imperium quotes a lack of benefits at the current time. Hephaestus Enterprises The Redon Imperium is pleased, doting another HUGE order for Hephaestus. (Skype) And two whole new Dreadnoughts they receive. On the other hand, they help expand the Thulean shipyard. Not their own. Huh. There is never enough laser at least. The Grgl, surprisingly fond of this opportunity flock in the thousands to the ticket outlets. Sold out. Entirely. But the advertisements fall on deaf ears for the Siamese. Even going on holiday on Aphrodite seems to be a bad choice when you could visit New Siam, that is CHEAPER and PRETTIER. (1 AP lost for this turn, investment stands though) That’s where all the water goes, eh? Han Dominion The freighter is finished as planned, ready to haul soldiers to war, carry equipment. For the Grim Reaper is always hungry. Whilst about only 1,000 rifles are finished with according energy cells, it will surely ramp up once the facilities to produce them en masse are in place. The upscaling of the plasma weaponry is a tedious process, but they are gaining on it, by next year they might have a prototype ready, with the technology universally applicable in the year after. The colony ship itself finds a habitable world, lush and rich… and dotted with a Firstborn base it appears. An old military base it seems, as overgrown old Walkers and battle tanks are found. Kingdom of Unified Systems Whilst they claim a new world, which would remind one of Norway at that, except globally, another colony ship is built as planned, to claim more turf for the teadrinkers. Kingdom of Armathwaite Whilst all investments go as planned, with the shipyard and the tradepost being expanded upon, the LC refuses to align itself with the SGTC. The reasons are for the most part, a lack of use and economic gain for them. Mars remains an important trade world for them. The colony ship is ready and completed, awaiting orders, whilst on another world and another actual colony a mine is worked on, expanding it, for all the ore it can bring. The talks continue. Solar Ascendancy It was a notch in the right direction, as the Mech is finally within expectations, the prototype going without issues through the usual tests. Xylorite warheads are frowned upon by the community, although the Protorians do propose a statute of limitations in terms of payload. Certain critical masses that turn them into weapons of mass destruction are forbidden, with small at most fist-sized crystals being acceptable as warheads or payload. The Project Horizon goes on, as well as EVE, whilst 100 fighters join the fleet of the Solar Ascendancy. Republic Star State of Kanata The development of the new heavy gun for the Mech proceeds as planned, but they are currently struggling a bit with the loading mechanism whilst retaining the turning turret itself. It’s a minor issue and it should be fixed by next year to allow the start to work on a prototype weapon. The shipyard begins to receive structural girders, preparing the be expanded accordingly, once done, with the old shell being removed from the then interior of the shipyard. Imperial Provinces The capital world of the Imperials continues fortification, repairs are done, much needed improvements, learned from the Replicant incursion and even shield generators are prepared to fortify one or the other bunker facility. At least Artemis knows where it goes. Thulean Republic With utmost diligence a battleship, a carrier, a destroyer and a corvette finish up and leave the shipyard, that was simultaneously expanded around them. Kyber Kore Six corvettes are finished, small and speedy vessels ready to deliver deadly payloads. Advancing the potential medicine supplemented with cybernetics and the idea of nanomachines to mend wounds seems an interesting proposal. The university itself contributes immensely to the project, opening up old chapters of Earth’s knowledge again. With structure they might achieve something. Frontier Colony Affiliation The FCA builds all the planned ships, with a substantial amount of cargo capacity coming from the freighters. The business investments are welcome improvement to the many valleys of their homeworld, with a subtle little speck in the sky being a new ship protecting them. The world they colonize in the end is a world similar to Earth, many biomes and climates present, strong winters in some regions, whilst others suffer regular droughts it appears, a dominant desert stretching the equator through and through. Asgard Republic With some effort, blood, sweat and tears, the ships of Hephaestus are rearmed where possible. In terms of vessels of their own, a Light Cruiser is finished, 2,000 instead of 1,000 Ares II Rifles produced and the construction of fortified bunkers on the surface of the world proceeding. The Laser technology research continues, but no breakthrough is to be seen in terms of improvements. United States of Arcturus Despite all efforts there are no culprits to be found for any major crime committed. The targeting computers are improved, going through archives of combat data which were kindly provided by the LC, given there will be an encounter with the Keerim soon. With the new railguns on top of that, the US vessels might just pack that extra punch that is needed. ---- Events New headlines seep in from the otherwise quiet north. The Alduu’uuranean Protectorate has entered in a war with the cooperative of Lorbi. The Council of Rak’Nak’Thax have announced an alliance with the Zaxx Empire. The Chupan’Mo have declared war upon the Cynn Foundations for reasons yet unknown. The Redon Imperium sends a demand of vassalage to the Thulean Republic, citing an offer of protection and noting that Redon soldiers already died selflessly for the nation. It would guaruantee the Thulean people survival, given their… previous misfortunes. Contrary to all expectations, the truce with the Keerim Imperium holds, with LC and Keerim bolstering their forces, but merely staring eachother down. No Keerim ship have crossed over into LC controlled domain, they have not taken any hostile actions thus far. Through communication with the Confederation of Xaplonius, yet another Human colony announces its presence. Forgotten by all, unheeded by Corrupters despite their proximity, the old East-European countries and Russia pooled together on Earth and sent multiple colony ships off back then during the Exodus. For reasons unknown their drives stranded them in relative proximity to eachother. Soon, with the technological breakthroughs, they banded together, forming the Slavic Federation. Given their population (3,500,000 Humans) are the greatest colony of mankind and do claim much territory for themselves, especially now with the extinction of the Corrupters. An Alliance between two of the Elder Races is announced, as Protorians and Ganvius proclaim such. Soon after Protorian fleets have begun mobilizing and would proceed to head to the frontline between Kalronians and Ganvius. Replicant ships are seen again in various regions of space, on the move, performing reconnaissance. When shot down, no new ships would appear near the destruction site, presumably avoiding it. Nobody is able to establish contact with them, nobody knows what is going on. All in the while, the Darkul and Zaxx gain upon the Ka’cezh Empire. Further south, the Kalronians have retaken every single system they have lost in the previous war. Their fight shows a momentum unprecedented. At the same time the Kalronians issue a demand for unconditional surrender to the Asgard Republic and Imperial Provinces. --- Population Spoiler Imperial Provinces - 1,125,000 Humans Solar Ascendancy - 700,400 Humans, 90,000 Grgl, 54,500 Tassarans, 44,500 Libellans, 37,000 Human-Tassarans, 13,500 Karass, 1,000 Chupan’Mo, 500 Alduu’uuraneans Silver Knight Company - 643,750 Humans, 98,500 Tassareans, 46,000 Backhatta, 90,750 Redons, 35,000 Human-Redons, 33,500 Human-Tassareans, 82,500 Galaron, 9,500 Human-Redon-Tassareans, 14,500 Redon-Tassareans, 5,500 Karass United States of Arcturus - 344,000 Humans, 26,500 Da'nor, 6,700 Human-Tjieran, 24,000 Skellar, 18,750 Libellans, 4,000 Ceri, 500 Ascardians (100,000 Ceri Garrison, 50,000 Ascardian Garrison, 60,000 Da’nor Garrison, 10,000 Skellar Garrison) Hephaestus Holdings - 1,089,000 Humans, 200,000 Grgl, 275,000 Tassareans, 78,000 Human-Tassareans, 51,750 Libellans, 49,000 Redons, 49,500 Backhatta, 38,500 Human-Redons, 140,000 Galaron, 23,000 Redon-Tassareans, 16,750 Human-Redon-Tassareans, 32,000 Protorians, 5,500 Karass, 1,000 Skellar, 500 Adaptaar Free Human Technocracy - 612,750 Humans, 70,000 Da'nor, 35,500 Human-Da'nor People's Council of Utopie - 540,000 Humans, 40,000 Protorians, 52,000 Libellans, 90,000 Grgl, 81,000 Tassareans, 44,000 Human-Tassareans, 35,000 Backhatta, 36,500 Skellar, 76,500 Galaron, 14,000 Human-Protorians Order of Malta - 1,003,000 Humans, 28,500 Ganvians, 47,500 Ceri, 45,500 Tjierans, 80,750 Ascardians, 48,000 Da'nor, 24,000 Human-Tjierans, 30,000 Human-Da'nor, 28,000 Human-Ascardians, 20,750 Tjieran-Ascardians, 18,000 Ascardian-Da'nor, 32,000 Skellar, 36,000 Libellan, 3,250 Tjieran-Da’nor, 2,750 Ar'gakari, 60,000 Adaptaar, 1,750 Alduu'uuranean, 1,250 Cevelli, 2,500 Kalronians, 3,000 Grgl Han Dominion - 957,500 Humans, 2,250 Ar'gakari, 25 Kuilei Star Republic of Edonia - 550,250 Humans Republic Star State of Kanata - 552,000 Humans Ultima Thule - 300,000 Humans, 35,000 Da'nor, 13,750 Ceri, 22,000 Ascardians, 15,750 Tjierans, 20,000 Redons, 51,000 Krib, 3,250 Human-Da’nor, 2,750 Human-Ascardians, 1,750 Human-Tjierans, 1,250 Human-Redons, 2,250 Da’nor-Ascardian, 1,500 Da’nor-Tjieran, 1,750 Tjieran-Ascardians, 500 Chupan’Mo Asgard Republic - 540,500 Humans Porton Technocracy - 465,750 Humans, 30,000 Cevelli, 18,500 Ka'cezh, 16,500 Zyrka, 15,500 Ymorian, 12,750 Alduu'uuranean, 53,500 T'jell, 92,000 Krib, 13,000 Human-Cevelli, 7,250 H’Wong, 2,500 Karrass , 3,000 Cynn Andorra - 445,250 Humans, 24,500 Cevelli, 8,000 Zyrka, 3,500 Ymorians, 3,750 Human-Cevelli, 38,750 Krib, 16,000 H’wong Kingdom of United Systems - 482,000 Humans, 7,500 Tassareans, 9,500 Grgl, 2,750 Human-Tassareans G.E.N.S. - 600,000 Humans ((Rounded this up straight for the time being.)) ---- Map Remains due until another time or 2150. ---- Year 2149 by Earth’s Calendar. _pok_ 1759 Share Posted February 2, 2018 (edited) The Erakat Caliphate Year 2149Population: 754,500 Shipyards: 7, 3Fahd Erakat leaned against the soft cushion jutting out from the otherwise rough mahogany surface in front of him. He wagged his finger in the air, motioning to the Maltese-human bartender on the other side of the dim room on the Maltese homeworld. The man moved briskly over to the Crown Prince of the Erakat Caliphate, “What’ll it be this time?” “Another one of those Manhattan Ice Teas…” The Crown Prince mumbled. It was one of his first times drinking alcohol; a banned substance in Eadni space. Fahd needed it though, the death of his lover at the hands of his father affected him far more than he let on publicly and this new substance seemed like an effective way to cope, or at least that’s what the Maltese manservant said. ----Salman Erakat once again found himself in that lonely golden corvette, zipping through the void to do more of his decrepit father’s business. He couldn’t help but lament his time in the infidel’s space, their vile haram and incompetence disgusted him. This trip at least partially excited him though - it was his first time traveling outside the Milky Way. ----A junior officer stumbled into Commander Hussein Al Noor’s office only to find the engineer’s head resting softly atop his desk, his right cheek pressed against a stack of mechanical blueprints. Behind him through a massive window, the Grand Shipyard hummed with activity in the bustling orbit over Amal. This wasn’t a new sight to the junior officer, Ezedeen Reem. Without ceremony, the young officer exited the room and prepared the Commander’s typical morning meal: Arabian Coffee with dates, Shakshuka, and Nan with chocolate and honey. The coffee’s aroma coaxed the exhausted Commander out of his napping but not before he subconsciously began to drool over the first paper in the massive stack. Seeing moisture gather over his sketches, Hussein jolted back in his chair, roughly thumbing over the wet spot in an effort to preserve the geometric equations, images, and technical readouts. “Sabah al Khair, Commander...” Midshipman Ezedeen nodded respectfully before setting down the tray in front of the Commander and beside the stack of papers. “Ahlan, Ezedeen.” Hussein sighed, scooting his seat up closer to the edge of the table to avoid spilling any of the chocolate on his already filthy uniform. “What time is it?” “Ahhh….” The junior officer quickly checked his wrist implant, “It’s 6am, Commander.” Ezedeen paused, stepping closer over the desk and looking over the documents. “Why do you insist on doing your work on paper Commander?” “It keeps me focused, I get too distracted otherwise Ezedeen. You’d be prudent to do the same.” Hussein took a long sip from the coffee, looking over his work from the previous evening. “I made a lot of progress last night on the reactor core of the Leviathan, I’m interested in seeing how these designs will perform in today’s simulation experiments.” AP Expenditures & ActionsAvailable AP: 112- An expansion to the Western Shipyard on the frontier of Eadni space is made this year, bolstering the production capacity of the Eadni once more. This is another prong of the massive rearmament project commissioned by the Admiralty in 2146 [10].- In accordance with that same rearmament project, a massive fleet order is put in to the Grand Shipyard at Amal. Two heavy cruisers, three light cruisers, seven destroyers, eleven Frigates, and twelve corvettes are built and commissioned into the fleet by the end of the year. Manpower is produced in droves to supplement such another massive increase in fleet capabilities [89].- Already scheduled for an upgrade since its inception, resources are spent to upgrade the B4-M3 “Sandstorm” bomber to a far more capable variant [5].- Research continues on an entirely new class of ship, the Leviathan. Commander Hussein Al Noor heads the engineering team developing the project, and right now the chief focus is on integrating various new and innovative technologies into a ship of such a scale [5].- To supplement the new class of ship and a reformed navy, research begins on practically applying ribalite. As of right now, the resource appears rather… useless. The Eadni hope to change that - quickly [3]. - A joint Union diplomatic mission is sent to the Slavic Federation (encounter please).- The Erakat Caliphate announces its existence to the rest of the galaxy and declares that it will no longer associate itself, or the Union of the Lily of the Crescent at large, with the Human Coalition. They shall be considered a neutral party and invite all alien nations to trade and interact with them. - L.S.A.A., a large private corporation based out of Amal, continues to sell its goods while finally acknowledging its true origins. Business as usual for the fake clones. The Darkul are once again contacted to continue sales as well as the Backhatta. Given the effectiveness of LSAA bombers against the Ymorians, the Ymorians are contacted and asked if they would be interested in buying their own bombers and fighters to counter the Darkul, and vice versa. So continues the life of a merchant of death. - Eadn colonizes a new system, this one to the southwest, near the edge of the galactic frontier. - Exploration takes place (encounter please). Like their marine counterparts in the Asgard Republic Space Navy, Rangers are equipped with the newly renamed "Ranger" jumpsuits - allowing protection superior to that provided by normal itoron mesh combat armour, and vastly enhanced reflexive mobility via jumpjets, including limited flight. Also like their marine counterparts, they are equipped with Ares II laser rifles. 2000 standing army soldiers are entered into the program. (This is simply a logistical reshuffling of the army structure, so no need for AP expenditure). 1AP - An additional 5000 soldiers are sought to join the Army, in both a standing and reserve capacity. They receive training superior to the standard being rolled out in the militia program (see below). As rank-and-file soldiers, they have the standard armament of itoron-mesh body armour and ballistic rifles with itoron ammunition. 1AP - The Protocol 5, also known as the "Militia Act" takes effect across the entire republic. Part of the founding constitution of the Republic, it was developed in the earliest years of settlement to deal with any potential hostile elements - seeing as Asgard is primarily devoid of the giant angry alien beasts envisaged by the somewhat paranoid author of the protocol, it has been largely neglected in recent decades. Most settlements have a lightly armed police force with minimal lethal armaments and mostly non-lethal old-earth stun weaponry, many of the more remote settlements have a more heavily armed militia to deal with anything from organised crime to hostile megafauna. Given the current security situation, local police forces are now equipped with military grade conventional ballistic rifles with itoron ammunition, locked in armouries for use in case of alien invasion. Following the old Swiss model of civil defense, the training program also sees the average citizen over the age of 16 receive basic firearms training and knowledge of where the local armouries are. They are all capable of using the firearms being stockpiled in their settlements should the need arise. 1AP - Construction continues on Asgard's surface-to-space weapons bunkers. Particular effort is put into proofing them (as well as could be expected) against orbital bombardment. 1AP - 100 fighters are put into production. 2AP - 100 cutting edge Eadni Saqr 2 heavy fighters are purchased from the LSAA. 2AP - A frigate is put into production. 2AP - Utilising designs available through the Coalition and using Maltese expertise, a quantum anchor station is constructed in the Asgard system for rapid military deployment. Devland99 180 Share Posted February 3, 2018 (edited) Republican Systems of Edonia (2149) General Activity: The major skirmish in the west caught many Edonians off guard, many thought that the coalition would have been able to strike first. The fighting was brutal but familiar to the people of the republic, they were not going to let the lives lost go wasted. The Praeses swiftly elected to put in an order of many warships to replenish those lost in the previous battle. Fresh recruits and few veterans of the previous war quickly filled the slots as they came eager to enact revenge. Propaganda of the battle against the Kalronians quickly flooded the streets and holo-screens of many homes. When casualty reports came in, the people were furious and demanded Leon’s head only to find out moment’s later the admiral perished in the first few volleys. People were furious regardless with many coming to the capital to preach about the current inability of the military high command. The Praeses hoping to calm down the populace would enforce a strict retraining program and evaluation of many of the high command membership of all branches. Training programs length would be increased by two more months leaving many people in six month long bootcamps. The nation entered a state of mourning for many months but the people could only stay down for so long. The many civilians began to return to daily life simply forgetting about the event and going about their business. ---------------------------------------------------------- Johnson blinked his eyes as the bright explosion flashed marking the destruction of another Edonian frigate. “I said warp now dammit!” The helmsman sped to reach the controls, the ship was constantly shaking from the explosions around them. The radar operator turned to look at Leopoldo, “Sir, we got five strike-craft approaching with payloads!” Outside to the right of the cruiser a small flight of Kalronian fighters was approaching, their torpedoes primed. “Light them up, Helmsman engage!” The gunner was already on the task of firing down and soon two of the fighters were slammed with bullets. “Payloads deployed, thirty seconds until impact.” The radar operator shouted. The cruiser suddenly lurched forward at great speeds entering warp, the three torpedoes flying into nothing. Johnson dropped his head, the adrenaline and stress wore him out. He let go of the railing in front of him. “Give me status reports.” The communications officer was the first to speak. “Captain, Admiral Leon’s battleship was destroyed. Lost with all hands as it tried to cover our retreat.” The news swept the bridge into silence, Leopoldo looked at the officer shock coming over him. “Who’s going to be standing in as the next in command?” The comms officer held the headset close to his ear. “Captain Macdonald, his ship has sustained heavy damage and will need some assistance when we come out of warp.” “Prepare the dropship to send over medical aid.” Johnson said as he stepped down the steps and walked up to the bridge’s windows. The ship exited warp, Novam off in the distance and multiple ships coming out nearby. The dropship previously spoken about zoomed from the left side of the cruiser aiming straight for a severely damaged light cruiser. The comms officer once again flagged for Johnson’s attention “Sir, all contact with our ground forces have been lost. Orbital bombardment most likely wiped them out.” There was no words to describe Johnson’s feelings. “Too many human lives were lost today.” he spoke to some of the crew nearby. “Sir, Macdonald’s ordering a full-scale retreat to the capital system.” “Follow through with it, we have to make due and prepare for the upcoming storm.” =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Population: 550,250 Humans Feldspar - [SL5] [Lvl.2 Trade outpost] {4/25 Industry} Aldebaran - [SL0] (Itoron) Frostbrand - [SL0] Irontoad - [SL0] Actions: (5 AP) Engineers and supplies would be sent by the thousands to help finish the Kanatian shipyard and help work on the immediate order for ships. The war preparations on Armathwaite seemed to be more of a consolidation of Southern Trade to prepare the bustling port itself to become something of a War Port for the South if the need arose due to the galactic geographical positioning of Armathwaite and its port. Armathwaite Space itself was still very much safe, so safe that a Colony Ship full of the populations collected from New Gibraltar and Falkland would be off to found a new Colony in the name of Armathwaite. Despite the relative peace within Armathwaite Space, the Royal Court and the Boardrooms of the various Corporations underneath the eyes of the Crown, Bank and Silver Knight Corporation grew restless, agitated and anxious of what the war might bring. Talks with the Redons and other Neighbours into forming a united response had grown stagnant, though still ongoing for the time being. Assurances were wanted by many of the elite and middle class on the planet, the uncertainty scared many and measures in the planet are taken to avoid individual stockpiling. It had become apparent to a few executives and managers within the Silver Knight Corporation that it perhaps had diversified too much and what was formerly its core make up of arms manufacturing had grown stagnant and even forgotten by many. A bold new initiative would be undertaken with Royal Approval to begin an ambitious new project to see if what was once what its name was known for could be restored to a semblance of former glory, or perhaps more. Much of the years resources are pumped into this effort. Though it is thought it might take several years to get it off the ground properly. The Government of the Republic of Edonia takes out a loan from the Bank of Armathwaite, another Government failing to meet its requirements needing assistance from the Private Sector amused some of the bank managers. The loan is approved for a year, requiring repayment on the next with the set amount of interest agreed upon by the representatives from the Edonian Treasury Department and the Bankers of Armathwaite. Selling weapons was not the only way one could profit off the war, blood would not stain the hands of bankers after all. Action Points A Loan is sent out to the Star Republic of Edonia, to be repaid with interest upon the following year of 2150. (13AP to Dev) More resources, manpower and construction ships are sent to Thule to continue working on their shipyards (10AP to Hell) A Quantum Anchor is Built in the Muster Space for the Royal Navy of Armathwaite to use to get to Thulean Territory when required (2AP) A New Project begins for the Silver Knight Company to build up a new line of Products, namely Mech Suits (10AP Czar Please PM me for the details) Efforts are undertaken to turn Falkland into a proper Agri World, so that the overall human population of the Kingdom can grow so that it might stay as the majority. Sovereign_of_Solaris 39 Share Posted February 4, 2018 Solar Ascendancy Founded 2143 Nira stood looking over her twins as they slept, she reached down over one of her sons blankets as if to touch only for her hand to pass through the hologram. With a sadden smiles she whispered “I’ll see you again soon, but for now you’re in a much safer place.” she stepped back her hand hesitantly hovered over the communication console before cutting the signal and the blank room lit up. A knock on the door grabbed her attention as she took a breath pushing her feelings back as she walked back to the door hitting the panel on the side as it opened to Knight Captain June who offered a stiff salute “My Sovereign.” he offered politely Nira sighed giving a light dismissive gesture “No need to be so formal Captain, what do you need?” she asked curiously fidgeting her hands slightly “Admiral Darynna needs to speak with you, it’s urgent. I don’t mean to pull you away from your personal time.” he offered, Nira shakes her head “My children aren’t here and my husband is working running his own agenda. Until this war is over Captain, I can’t afford personal time for myself.” the words were honest, but didn’t ease the pain of not being able to see her Alexander and Arthur. Captain June held up a key card to her, as she took it in hand. “Thank you Captain, join me please. I prefer to have a witness to these discussions.” they’d re-enter the her personal communications room. Activating the console she inserted the key card as it decrypted the incoming signal and a perfectly clear and live image of Darynna stood before her. “Admiral Darynna.” she greeted Darynna bowed her head lightly “Sovereign, if I might get right to the point. My men report the development of our navies Xylorite Arsenal has already been slowed..by your personal order.” Nira nodded “Yes I gave the personal order to slow the development.” Admiral Darynna simply stared taking a moment to respond “With all due respect Sovereign, the Protorians have no right or authority over how we choose to operate. I request to be present for the meeting.” Nira shook her head “No I can’t, I need you out there with Admiral Jie for when the wars kicks off. The navy has been getting limited resources and attention because we had to re-organize after the Calamity. Your record speaks well for itself Admiral, I can’t imagine what it was like flying a Destroyer head first into hell itself at Tassarea.” Nira took a breath “I need you to prove your place as head of the Navy, right now Military Efficiency is far more important than a political stepping stone. Besides I don’t plan on leaving you out there to fight all alone.” Captain June and Admiral Darynna give a look of surprise “My Sovereign..I know you’re an excellent pilot but no one is expecting you fight.” “I know Admiral.” Colony of Terra Capital City, Sol Facilities Stellar Class Shipyard - Level 4 (5/20 AP to lvl 5) Trade Outpost - Level 1 Solarin Battlestation - (3 AP) Emmerson Science & Research Facility Notable Locations: Sol Colony Total Population Peacetime - Restoration of Humanity - 3% Prime Pop Growth (Current Status - Peace) Solar Ascendancy - 700,400 Humans, 90,000 Grgl, 54,500 Tassarans, 44,500 Libellans, 37,000 Human-Tassarans, 13,500 Karass, 1,000 Chupan’Mo, 500 Alduu’uuraneans Total Pop - 941,400 Civil Development/Research Expanded Farms - Harvest Emmerson Science & Research Facility - Terra Federation Academy - Terra Enhanced Medical Facilities - Terra Colonies Terra - Capital Harvest Remnant’s Memory -Technologies- Quantum Comms Oddball Warp Drive Gamedi Warp Jump Drive Railguns (Ships/Stationary Platforms) Mass Accelerator Cannons (Ship Weapon) Mining Drones Xylorite Missiles Xylorite WMDs Xylorite Power Generators Miniature Xylorite Generators Xylorite Torpedoes Xylorite Refining Disruptor Weapons (Infantry-Human Designed) Power Armor Itoron-Steel Armor Designing Quantum Anchor Laser Weaponry (Infantry/Vehicle/Ship) Laser Lance Swarm Missiles Mk II Hunter & Tank Bots (Improved Thinking Chip/Dexterous Hands) Improved Labor Bots (Non-Combat, Thinking Chip/Dexterous Hands) Jump Packs Itoron-Steel/Itoron-Carbon Weave Troop Armors LAS II LAS I Single Phased Deflectors Dual Phased Deflectors Tri Phased Deflectors Artificial Gravity Fusion Engines Fusion Power Nuclear Power Military Forces (Total) - 54,000 20,000 Army - Itoron-Carbon Weave Armor/ 15,000 Marines - Itoron-Carbon Weave Armor/ 4,000 Heavy Infantry - Power Armor Mk I 10,000 Navy -Resource Access/Trade/Expenditure- Rodina - 1 Ton Per Year/Total Current Tonnage =4r Tons Xylorite Mine - Terra - 100 Tons Per Year/Total Current Tonnage = 450x tons Itoron Mine - Remnant’s Memory - 100 Tons Per Year/Total Current Tonnage = 800i Tons Naval Fleet SAS Fatman - Solarin Freighter SAS Sprite - Strike Class Corvette SAS Manta - Strike Class Corvette SAS Daring - Strike Class Corvette SAS Courage - Strike Class Corvette SAS Viking - Centurion Class Frigate Mk II SAS Roman - Centurion Class Frigate Mk II SAS Liberty - Centurion Assault Frigate Mk II SAS Savannah - Centurion Assault Frigate Mk II SAS Raider - Centurion Assault Frigate Mk II SAS Glory - Centurion Assault Frigate Mk II SAS Voidstar - Colton Class Support Carrier/100 Nemesis Fighters SAS Retribution - Colton Class Support Carrier/100 Nemesis Fighters SAS Void Hawk (L) - Praetorian Class Destroyer SAS Undying Hope - Praetorian Class Destroyer SAS Unyielding Faith - Praetorian Class Destroyer SAS Prometheus - Athen’s Class Light Cruiser AP Total = 22 Standard - 4AP Trade - 4 AP 3 Colonies - 3 AP 750k Pop - 3 AP TF Bonus - 2 AP Expansion Mentality - 2 AP Federation - 4 AP -Trade Partners- Hepheastus, Silver Knight, Andorra, Malta, Trade Federation, Confederation of Xaplonius, Tassaran Republic, Protorian Council, Lithruan Coalition +4 Nations --Actions-- With aid from Andorra (4 AP) The Ascendancy begins Project Second Horizon (4 AP, 8 total) Project Horizon continues (1 AP, 29 Previous) The Ascendancy purchases 3 Colony Ship from the Kingdom of Armathwaite (9 AP) The Ascendancy produces it’s forth Colony Ship at Hephaestus's Shipyards, it’s good to have friends. bickando 3395 Share Posted February 4, 2018 The Sanctum Regnum Melitae Anno Domini MMCXLIX [2 AP] - Equipping various ships with various projects. [5 AP] - Project Sicily [12 Total] [5 AP] - MD Device [70 Total] [8 AP] - To the Caliphate, for a Heavy Cruiser. [2 AP] - A relatively small wedding is held for the Re with his new Regina, Afaya'olm. It is hoped that the reason is understandable, given the galactic...situation. This RP will be in a different post since my forums are glitched. [0 AP] - Colonization. [4 AP] - The Arcology shield begun so many years ago is put back into the production schedule, this time with the help of exchange program professors in addition to all those engineers. The hope is to complete it over the capital, protecting it from a potential Keerim invasion. [10 Total] [1 AP] - Further investment into Maltese students being sent abroad, but now mostly to the Ka'cezh, Protorians, and Ganvius. Also of note is the beginning of specialization of many mid-tier Maltese universities in civilian subjects, such as history, fine arts, and medicine. The Rhodium Military Academy and Accademie di Liguria are both still known for military studies and engineering respectively, however. It's almost like Malta doesn't know a galactic war is going on. [0 AP] - Many businesses, especially those trading in and based in Malta, are encouraged to adhere to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in order to improve their efficiency. [5 AP] - A destroyer and a frigate, built in Maltese shipyards. [0 AP] - The Ar'gakari in Malta are asked about their home galaxy, and if there is a way to return to it to plead for help for liberation. [0 AP] - Skellar residents and teachers of Malta, along with any other nonhuman races and teachers, are asked to help with the designing of modernized shipyard structures and construction techniques, given Malta still uses the basic ship constructions of Earth. [0 AP] - Elder race teachers in Malta are asked if it would be possible to upgrade Fusion Drives, increasing normal ship speed. [0 AP] - Students returning from the Cevelli and Alduu'uuranean exchange programs have their skills put to use modernizing Malta's agriculture and forestry industries, along with diversifying them with crops from around the galaxy. In particular, the Kalronian wheat-like crop is to be farmed for export, and luxury woods are looked for to potentially be used in a luxury transportation company. [0 AP] - Many state-owned restaurants are opened up for sale to the Grgl and Maltese students returning from the Grgl culinary programs to make their own restaurants, piggybacking off of what Francis has been quoted as calling "galactic soul food". Research in gastronomy, especially the fusion of the foods of the multitudes of cultures within the Sanctum Regnum, is at an all-time high (for those not otherwise predisposed). [0 AP] - Any students finishing study abroad in military schools are given officer roles in the Army or Navy, hopefully improving the overall standard of Maltese military leadership and discipline. [0 AP] - A missive is sent to the Skellar Kingdom and letters to most Skellar residents of Malta, along with the blueprints to a House of Malta, asking if it would be possible to impart any possible improvements to construction speed, cost, and quality. [0 AP] - The actions of the Kalronian Ystor Rule are denounced by the Sanctum Regnum Melitae as warmongering. [0 AP] - Voluntary enlistment in the Maltese army is advertised, though all Maltese-born military students on student aid continue to be pressed into the military. [0 AP] - Newly graduated Maltese officers, and those that stayed on to serve in the military from foreign programs, are asked for the generally accepted galactic strategy to defeating a technologically superior enemy spearheading their forces with their strongest ships. [0 AP] - With the wars raging across the galaxy, restrictions on trade within the Sanctum Regnum are loosened in order to promote it as a comparatively safe trade haven. In addition, the Grand Alliance, Tjieran Principate, Ascardian Principate, Skellar Kingdom, and Confederation of Xaplonius are approached about the creation and promotion of a trade network called the "Great Southern Road", wherein free trade is guaranteed between the six, and perhaps xylorite prices for traders using the route are lowered, in the hopes of undercutting trade profits from the central-southern nations while war brews. [0 AP] - The Ganvius are asked to open a trade port in their southeastern territories, that Maltese and Tjieran traders would have an easier and faster way of trading with them. [0 AP] - An offer is sent to Tassarans that might have been displaced a few years back, to migrate to Malta. Surely the Maltese marketing companies are well known by now. [0 AP] - Many worlds near battlefronts find themselves occupied by Maltese salespeople, offering migration to Malta! The Ka'cezh battlefield sectors in particular! [0 AP] - Adaptaar continue to be offered legally free practice of religion within the Sanctum Regnum Melitae. Kind of ironic, to be honest. [0 AP] - A special offer is sent to border Protorian provinces - join the new Maltese colony for free housing, free education, and a new life! Or, move to Rhodium, capital of Malta, for free housing, free education, and a new life! All children will be placed in good Maltese schools! What an offer! Praetor 1548 Share Posted February 5, 2018 The Trade Federation The air here smelled of gas, burning metal and old rubber. Far away from here, distant clanks and clangs, the bee-like whine of electric saws and the trembling thunder of enormous, mechanical hammers falling down upon pliable molten steel echoed through the vast halls of metal and stone. She stood upon a platform, jutting out into the void like a singular planet, orbited by stars filled with destructive power and crafted out of itoron and xylorite. She clasped her hands and closed her eyes, exhaling slowly, then breathing back in once more, the smells and sensations rushing back like a wave of nostalgia so powerful it nearly knocked her over. She would no longer need to return to these hallowed halls, once she was reassigned. Her ship would no longer pierce the atmosphere and land amongst the many shuttles and speeders that darted to and fro through the atmosphere of London Prime. These smells has followed her all her life, present from her birth in the bowels of a colony ship, cast into the void on a coin-flip, to her education upon that same, dying vessel and all the way until now. Student, cadet, officer, captain. Admiral. A small smile broke across her face and she opened her eyes once more. “You’ve brought me far old lady, but it’s time to say goodbye.” She paused before reaching out, her fingers brushing against the hulking being before her, stroking the coarse and cold itoron shell that encased it. Scars littered the old creature, burns and punctures endured during the battle for the Nexus, where she had ducked and weaved like a young ship, dodging lasers and fighters with the swiftness of a ballerina. But she was old, and the battle had strained her, damaged her deep within her core. The FFS North Sea was to be decommissioned, the ship Lily had captained since she had gained her lapels. “I have a model of you, in my new quarters. I don’t think the Fulton will be jealous, she’ll understand.” “Admiral?” called a voice from behind her, and she recoiled her hand like a snake, spinning around and coughing into her curled fist. Heat flooded into her cheeks and she fought off the urge to blush. “What is it?” she snapped, clasping her hands behind her back and staring down the diminutive cadet. He looked back at her with wide blue eyes, intimidation clear within them. “High Command will be wanting to speak with you in an hour, I was ordered to escort you to the C.A.C.” Lily turned away and glanced back at her old ship, her old home. The North Sea hadn’t changed much over the years. A few upgrades, a few repairs, but it was the same silhouette she had fallen in love with nearly a decade ago. She smiled again and shook her head. Times changes, and the Fulton’s Revenge now waited for her, high in orbit. “Then we should not keep them waiting,” she said sternly, her lips twitching as the cadet nodded fervently and hurried down the hallway, and towards the future. Sovereign_of_Solaris 39 Share Posted February 6, 2018 A Call to Arms Stoke the Embers of Freedom (Attempted Moral Boost the Coalition, fellow Nations, and those fighting for their lives across the galaxy, MOD) A Broadcast via Quantum Communications is broadcasted by the Ascendancy to nearby friendly Xeno Nations, fellow Coalition members as Sovereign Nira Usenko of the Solar Ascendancy addresses recent developments. “With the recent announced alliance between the Kalronians, Keerim, and the Darkul. Human Nations from all over have tried to come together, we have formed simply the Coalition, an alliance to stand together in an attempt to prevent our destruction and extinction at the hands of the Kalronian Ystor Rule and the Keerim Empire.” “Recently, the Asgard and the Imperial Provinces were faced with a choice between surrender or total genocide at the hands of the Kalronians. We have lost all contact with both nations..we can only hope that their populations do not suffer under the Tyranny of Kalronian Rule.” Nira takes a moment before continuing “The Coalition has fought and bled in the defense of its members. Previous rivals, age old enemies, or nations that simply did not interact together now fight side by side together for survival against the dangers of this galaxy.” “We cannot give up hope on what we have set out to do, some may have faltered and see no victory in the Coalition. I wish them luck in their own endeavours, as all that matters here and now in this war torn galaxy is the survival of our race and our people. We cannot be consumed by our petty differences anymore, animosity is a difficult thing to get past but it is our duty to fight for one another. This conflict cannot be won alone, not by any single nation or federation but by us as a whole. We’ve had victories, we’ve had losses, and despite those losses we pick each other up again and continue to push forward through this long night. So I wish to call out to all who can hear this, stand with us. For if we cannot stand against these evils together, then we will be faced with the Purges of the Kalronians..the Atrocities of the Keerim..” “Or the Tyranny of the Redon Imperium.” Nira takes a quick moment to recover herself carrying an angered expression “I am shocked, to say the least at the recent acts of the Redon Imperium, a warrior culture I’ve heard much of in my time and have only had minor if not abysmal dealings with. Honor from what I have heard is a very important aspect to them, but there is nothing Honorable about not extending that beyond yourself. The People of Thule have suffered enough between the horrid and murderous acts of the Keerim, and the near attempted eradication at the hands of the replicants.” “For the Redon Imperium to demand what they perceive as a lesser nation that simply wishes to live in peace, to bend a knee or face subjugation is nothing..and I mean Nothing short of Cowardice.” “All humans deserve to live in peace as part of a nation of their own choosing! No Xeno! No Empire! Will ever suppress our will and our pursuit for freedom!” “I call upon any human or Xeno who would fight for their nation in any part of this galaxy you so proudly call home to stand and fight against the Keerim, Kalronians and the Redon Imperium!” “Until all are Safe! Until all are free! Let our cry be Libertas!”
GrimBeard 46 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Frontier Colony Affiliation Things were keeping to the regular as always in Utopie. Members of the Human Coalition were being invaded and slaughtered. And yet in Utopie flower shops are booming with the heat of the summer. Robots and various species of life walk should to shoulder. Everyone is stopping to talk and gossip. Shock Troop trainees march in long line as citizens host impromptu parades with them. Everything is normal and sane. There is no killer species hell bent on defeating their navy and landing. But everyone knew this was coming at a dear price. Already their more far flung systems were sending troubling reports. Thankfully these systems were now far more connected. The Frontier Colony Affiliation boasted the largest human transport fleet. They were now sending monthly shipments of food and troops to their colonies. Troops were able to spend less time in/waiting for transit. This would also prove useful as the Utopie Expiditionary force gears for war. Already a sizable portion had been shipped off to the Keerim front. In overall command of all human ground forces, their doctrine would stay the same. All forces for now are to pool their resources and train. If the Keerim were not going to attack, they would make sure they were ready. Utopie command shifts up the army units, making them bigger. Now divisions could comprise several various coalition human breeds. They would work together to form cohesive units ready to move or defend at a moment's notice. They will remain off the front line, instead holding the second rim. From here they could move to areas on the potential 1st line that need it the most. With the cargo fleet shaping up, Utopie switches their priority. Now they will focus on the more military side. Woefully lacking in numbers right now, their navy has only good tech on it's side. This was set to change over the next few years. Ships will be produced at a high rate in the Han ship yards. Total = 132AP BONUSES:-Ravenous Industrialism: -5AP off industry investments, +25% manufacturing output. -National Idea, Peace: 1% extra growth on primary population. -Though the Redons had attacked a close friend and FEZ member, a contract for energy cells had been agreed to prior to the conflict. The Corporation could not break a contract once it had agreed to one, thus manufactured the 1,000,000 energy cells. The Board would inform the Redons during the delivery of the cells that the Corporation would not be exporting any military equipment to any state for the duration of the conflict. They send their sincere apologies, and hope the Redon Imperium would consider Hephaestus Enterprises for business deals in the future. (-50AP) -Tell me something, Czar. What makes you... tingle? You know what I mean? That is to say, what makes your heart flutter? Your hands shake in excitement? What act makes blood rush to your extremities in sheer ecstasy? Perhaps it would be too racy to write it in this forum. Would a lover whisper it into your ear in the dead of night--speak softly the secrets that haunt your most sensual dreams? Would they whisper..."Industrial Investment?" A manufacturer working for Hephaestus Enterprises would. (-40AP towards Industry) -Four destroyers are constructed in the Aurora shipyard.
