Following the Arcturian-Eadni press release, Han sources freely admit their use of covert agents in US territory! As the USA was a client state of the Han Dominion at the time, they find it odd that anyone would take issue with their decision to keep tabs on their own citizens.  And truly, if there was ever a nation worth keeping a close eye on, it is Arcturus.

In fact, when confronted with the evidence implicating them in the collapse of the previous US government, the Empire has a simple message to the Arcturian people:

"You're welcome."

It is the opinion of the esteemed Human Emperor that the Han were really doing the USA a favor by getting them occupied, as the Lithruans will no doubt prevent them from doing anything too stupid. It's painfully obvious in a cursory survey of Arcturian history that not only are their people determined to elect the dumbest leaders they can find, but that these leaders seem to be in some kind of competition as to who can gimp their own nation the hardest.

Indeed, like a baby with a bazooka, the Arcturian leadership has consistently chased what their ex-president Cuthos referred to in one summit as "awesome explosions," with little regard for the consequences. At various times their decisions have killed off Thuleans, Solarins, and their own people, but never the enemy. Upon the discovery of the cloaking device, the best use for it their president at the time could think of was a puerile scheme which involved drawing a crude penis on the Solarin moon.

While it would certainly be appreciated, there is no need to thank the Han for the service they've done the Arcturians. For while it's true that every Han agent participating in the operation should really be given the congressional medal of honor for stopping the defection to the monstrous Eadni, the Han initiated the operation as an act of charity to the galaxy. The prosperity the Arcturians will soon achieve under the leadership of literally anyone but themselves will fill the Emperor's heart with joy, because virtue is its own reward.

A glossary is attached to the statement explaining the meaning of all words containing more than two syllables, for the benefit of any USA citizens who may want to read it.

Agerian Commonwealth

Julius Hotchen watched with slight annoyance as he looked around the room to the gathered representatives of the people in the senate building. During the past regime it had been used mostly as a symbolical institution, the senate chosen by the people who only served as a checks and balances for a ruler with near unlimited judicial, legislative and executive power. The results of this type of government had become clear as the rulers who had this power seemed to not be skilled enough to lead a nation during wartime which had only resulted in subsequent continuous defeats at the hands of their enemies thus each time losing significant military resources. After their occupations under the Kalronian Ystor and their now subsequent official vassalage under the Redon Imperium it was decided that a more democratic approach would be needed if they wanted the now christened commonwealth to be more successful than their predecessor.

Thus after looking at his mechanical watch and seeing that it signified that it was now 2PM touched the button that activated his microphone and he said in a loud but controlled tone. "Silence inside the parliament" Once his voice was heard the conversation between the various representatives quieted down as they listened to what the newly assigned Halron of the commonwealth. Who had been elected to go as representative to the Redon to become the de-facto governor of the commonwealth. "I have returned from my trip to his majesty the Redon and have agreed to what terms of vassalage we shall have." Hearing the word 'vassalage' a large part of the assembly frowned as they were not entirely comfortable with their new status but accepted it.

"The news I bring is good. Essentially we get to maintain a near total independence. We can continue whatever research we want. " Though the unspoken words of 'except Xylorite missieles were clearly felt by the assembled representatives "Furthermore, we won't have to worry about a Redon garrison on our world and we will not have to give any type of taxation to the Redon. However when the Redon calls we will need to assist them in any way we can. Even if that includes those of our own race" The last part was sad with sadness in his voice and some muttered unpleasantly about this but most accepted that it might be needed and that the terms they had now were extremely favorable and better than they could have imagined. "Now it is time to allocate the government budget of this year to several tasks. Some of the proposed ones are:" Lucius would then scrape his throat "Continue project Geminos, Improve our industrial capacity, scout our territory for resources, expand our shipyard, expand our fleet , continue development of Mark II power armor and finally expand our ground forces and finally continue project Geminos. "

"To start the discussion of Commander Dante may have the chamber " An older looking man would then activate his own speaker to the chamber and would speak in a gruff tone. "As Halron Hotchen told us we are almost entirely autonomous from the Redon Imperium except for needing to aid them when the time comes. To do this we will need a fleet and army so that when the time is right we will be ready to assist them when needed. To this end I propose tripling our armed forces as we have a large amount of manpower reserves and only a small professional army. Furthermore we should increase production of proper equipment for them so that our army may remain properly armed." Once the commander had finished his proposal though an objection button was hit for the unofficial opposition of Commander Dante's militarist faction. Soon representative Smith would speak. "Representatives of the people. Today we are gathered to speak about our national budget. The esteemed Commander Dante would propose that we increase our military capabilities and whilst I do not disagree with him I do disagree on when we should enact these measures. As of right now we have been given the opportunity to expand our economy. If we simply put all of our spending into military this year we will be better prepared yes but we will not excel. By increasing our economic and industrial output we can produce more ships, equipment and do military research at a later point in time. Which is why I propose that we first scan our territory for resources that we can exploit for the prosperity of our people and increase our industrial capacity "

What followed was a debate over which measures would or would not be enacted and to what extent. In general the Liberal party under representative Smith had the upper hand and would enact most of their own measures. Though under pressure of Commander Dante the total number of soldiers in the army would be doubled.

Frontier Colony Affiliation

The gears of war were yet again turning in Utopie. Their battered fleet had been away for some time now. Returning recently, tales come with them. Tales of a massive fleet of aliens. How their battleship had stood it's ground and fought so bravely. Officers right down to the menial robots preforming past their hopes. Tales of the bitter struggle after. Of betrayal by their very neighbor. Fighting the Eadni yet again, but keeping the capital of the glorious Empire safe. And with it all came the bodies of the slain.

Things were not the same in Utopie. No one could ignore the old scars of the bombardment. Not with such fear of it happening again. The army had been stretched to it's very limits, listening to Baron's edicts. After the massacre against the Slavs, there was a general shake up. Generals of the Utopie regiments had for some time now been concerned. They respected what their glorious Affiliation had become. And yet, it was corrupt to the core. The Slavs themselves were a prime example. Disgracing the army in such a bold move. But even more so with how bright their democracy was.

The Strumvruppen had by and large been broken up at this point. Only the regiments in Utopie remained true to it's core. However that did not mean their influence fell short. They were the majority and held the fleet. This had always worked in a way to support Utopie government. But it also meant little as soon as they left. Many in the government were aliens and settlers, brining their views. The humans had been reduced to serving in the army, or farming. It was true the average Utopie citizen lived at peace with their neighbor. But the Barons were a breed unto themselves.

All throughout the nation votes are being held. The age old law of Utopie still remained. Ever since the colonies inception any life form wishing to settle was granted full citizen ship, land, food, and above all else, a vote. The generals and military make a push to change. To keep true to their ideals, instead of letting officials rule. They would not use force, only ensure the legitimacy of the vote itself. It was Utopie after all, they would vote instead of fight.

Alongside this was a massive increase in state spending. They would being to make Ship Yards across the far reaches of the Affiliation. They would better be able to maintain control. Or have the ability to make a responsive force far closer to the problem then warping. Alongside this they would send a great flow of resources and aid to the Emperor. The Imperial Fleet was beginning.

Another issue raised is the severe lack of Psionics. There was many within the F.C.A, but none willing to serve. Voting will proceed on whether or not to allow a yearly recruitment of people showing potential. [Czar Plz]

Thulean Republic

Thule was submissive, but peaceful. Safe. Prospering, even. But it didn't help settle the dissatisfaction. There was a constant low grumble at the presence of Redon troops, but no open dissent. The Thuleans knew full well that their freedom could not yet come through explicit resistance. So on they slogged under the yoke of the Redon.

The Thulean government initiates a advertisement campaign, focused on the civilians on worlds close to the frontlines with the enemies of the Redon Imperium. The aim is to promote the image of Thule as a safe haven from Protorian incursion for civilians. Of course, these civilians would still be expected and able to contribute to the war effort, just from a place not liable to potential destruction. The Redon government is informed and consulted on the matter to make this as efficient and appropriate as possible.

The colony ship produced last year is sent to a neighbouring sector. As with last time, the Redon government is asked for permission to do so.

Chapter III: N'Fe a Te, a future imperfect

2153

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b5X69vREAg

A peace agreed upon, but a foe showing his true strength. Billions died, and billions more would die. Endless carnage, that knows no end. For war does not judge.

-----

Republican Systems of Edonia

Despite the offer, the LC does not request the construction of any ships this year around. The troops however are welcomed.

All construction projects go as planned, there were no hiccups or shortcomings to be reported. On the other hand, the reverse engineering makes literally no progress at all, given that Kalronian technology is highly advanced and too complex for the minds of man as it is right now.

The Sale of the stockpiles brings some funds into the treasury to be used this year. (+12 AP this turn)

The Sanctum Regnum Melitae

Vast numbers of ships joined the Maltese fleet, ready to fight, and they will probably have to fight very soon.

Sicily is an island.

The academy program hasn't seen any particular results, given the whole war business in the south, so students from abroad have become quite sparse.

The massive amount of Xylorite sold, brings a vast amount of funds, ready to be used for other business. (+221 AP this turn)

The Erakat Caliphate

All ships and craft are finished as planned, with the Titan being the jewel of it. A ship "unseen" before.

They uncover two agents of the Heart Within, who promptly desintegrate through a special device inside their bodies. It appears someone has been keeping an eye out.

The secret projects proceed quietly and unhindered. The agents found have no affiliation with it nor did they know about it, that can be assured.

Nobody appears to even try conducting any diplomacy with the caliphate, at least verbal diplomacy. Such is clear when alerts go off, as four Protorian warfleets materialize in different locations in Eadni space. Any communication attempts are ignored so far, and they are clearly hostile to anything that belongs to the caliphate.

The Han Dominion

With the intervention of the Slavic Federation nothing comes from the attempts to draw upon the former KUS resources.

And indeed, Chaal, helping in the repair efforts of the attacked homes and houses of the Han does awaken the potential of a few individuals at that.

The Kuilei lord agrees.

The sale of goods to the Ganvius brings some funds into the Dominion's treasury. (60 AP)

The Colony ship on short notice stumbles upon a world that has a single Ganvius observation post in orbit. The surface of this arid world is covered in a race of a civilization well in modern times, that also actively communicates with the Ganvius. What can be picked up, these insectoids are called Rontan.

Kingdom of Armathwaite/Silver Knight Corporation

With functional disruptor energy weapons available, a new avenue for military pursuits opens for the Kingdom. Other than that, the other projects and constructions go as planned, with no incidents to report.

The living planet appears to be quiet on any attempts thus far, they might need some bio interfacing or other technology. They tried psionic powers, but the ones that attempted to speak with it, blacked out and awoke remembering very little, but as if something hit them on the head really really hard.

The Redon Imperium buys all of the Dakite readily to the price given. The however is being bought by the Confederation of Xaplonius after outbidding the Imperium. (100 AP from the Dakite, 137 AP from the Itoron)

Nobody replies for the trade offers, things are just too unstable right now.

United States Of Arcturus

Both ships, the specialized exploration vessel and the colonial freighter are finished and ready to go. Probably better now than later.

Despite all efforts, the survey yields no results in any of the owned territories. Aside from normal metals and minerals in abundance. As for pirates, none are found. There are so many warships around, that piracy is suicide.

The materials are sold as intended, with the LC buying the whole stockpile of both for a vast sum. (95 AP)

The system to the west holds a humble alpine world, rocky, but warm and stable. The Fauna and Flora is friendly all over and strongly reminds of the Alps.

The Skellar Kingdom and Libellan Union both agree, though the latter does not see all so much combat at this point, rebuilding the ruins.

Asgard Republic

A silent appreciation is there from the few Kalronians that now live on Asgard.

All six ships are constructed as planned, whilst at the same time the project of distantium continues. As for arming the forces, well, by default the weapons were assumed by the Asgard forces. Of the few surviving Kalronians, four of them even began helping the troops to get used to the equipment.

Kyber Kore

More implants are being bought. (+20 AP this turn)

And implants continue their improvements, making fine adjustments here and there, some scientists and engineers had the idea of the universal arm and hand implant that can be adjusted to fit the wearer, any (humanoid) wearer.

Just at the border of Ganvius space, unowned territory, they stumble upon a world covered in the grey muck of Ribalite, and another world that shows dangerously fragile pillars of orange crystals.

Hephaestus Enterprises

All construction projects, for ships, shipyards and all research projects proceed as planned, with nothing new to report. And that with the anchors of course.

The Itoron is bought by the Confederation of Xaplonius that has to replace a few vessels, clearly. (57 AP this turn)

They find debris and remains. Escape pods, both friend and foe. But no survivors. The Ar'gakari did not bother making prisoners, they left the pods floating and saved their own. (10 AP from debris)

Andorra

And the projects go on. Is there much else to be said?

The Trade Federation

All construction projects and research projects, ship builds, shipyard upgrades go as intended. The secret business does find an agent of the Heart Within, or rather former agent, operating under the rogue element known as Ral, the man responsible for the Hephaestus Bombing.

C-GAP is signed by all nations participating in it, their claims and territorial demands now roughly aligned with the treaty. Fortunately, this easens the trade situation a bit as war in the East has died down by now, with ships able to travel up North again. With some reroutes through Keerim space though.

Republic Star State of Kanata

As the construction of the ships concludes, the ones sent North are being returned, as peace has been signed between the Protorian Council and the Redon Imperium. The gesture is appreciated though.

The sale of resources brings a big boost in funds to the Republic. (90 AP)

And so they set down on the dry and scorched world of sand, a new home and a change of scenery.

Solar Ascendancy

The projects continue as planned, with nothing new to report as of right now.

The confederation is willing to buy all of it, for a bulk price. (120 AP offered) After all they have to rebuild more than just one fleet, but several.

Agerian Commonwealth

Geminos goes on, as new factories and industries grow like mushrooms on the planet surfaces. As if it wasn't enough, with the onset of peace, the Redon himself has ordered the additional construction of six industrial complexes all over the Commonwealth's world. (100 AP into industry)

Frontier Colony Affiliation

Many projects that process on, but show nothing out of the ordinary. Ships built, shipyards expanded (That's a lot of shipyards, where did they all come from?).

Thulean Republic

The advertisement campaigns, well meant, are not taken very well by the Redon Imperium. For them, the Protorians are not ravaging plunderers, but honorable and upright warriors, true adversaries with whom they can be friends as well. Mutual respect and fair treatment in times of peace AND war. Speaking of peace, that has just been signed.

Other than that, the territorial claims and expansions of the Republic is granted, they see no issue and welcome it. In order to help the Republic, the Redon has ordered the construction of hydroponic farm complexes, dozens of them. (100 AP into agriculture)

The Kolran of Thulea is welcomed of course.

GENS

Nothing new to report regarding the projects and industrial expansion, though infinity gets a bit more efficient with each passing year of research.

-----

Events

The peace of Tkorr is signed. Protorian Alliance and Redon Imperium have ceased hostilities. Territories shall stand where the forces stand. Diplomacy is open again, and discussions about adjustments in the border, including the possible return of some territories to other nations are being talked about.

The LC and affiliated nations face the greatest Keerim offensive in two decades. Thousands of Keerim ships have appeared out of nowhere from behind the lines and have begun pouring all over LC held space. The casualties are climbing rapidly and already the Skellar Kingdom loses ground to the Keerim. Two dozen skirmishes lost within a month, seven decisive battles lost too.

The Ymorians are further on the backfoot, losing territory steadily. The Ar'gakari are rampant in the North, fighting everyone around them and taking systems, bombing worlds, enslaving populations. The Ka'cezh Star Empire seeks amendments with the Zaxx and Darkul, neither of them willing to talk peace, continuing their war.

A year with many new lives, it must be said. Probably connected with the repeated sightings of an old gentleman in a white suit all over the galaxy. And of course, with all the war, refugees flooding everywhere, to be safe. For the time being.

0AP - According with the colonial expansion below, the following TC's are pressed ^ ^

1AP - Exhaustive surveys are conducted by civilian and military vessels of all currently owned and new TCs for resources and anomalies.

0AP - Over the last year, a planet known as Freyja has been colonised in the sector immediately "south" of Asgard. Although the area has been known to be Itoron-rich, it's only now that government funded efforts have dispatched a colony ship. A somewhat alarming message from the chief science officer describes "a tropical jungle world with some very gentle, terrifying looking plant eating monstrosities of cats".

0AP - Investment from the Redons is used to kickstart itoron mining and refining on Freyja, as well as putting into place the necessary infrastructure to get it into space. Hopefully the terrifying vegan cats won't mind the odd Itoron mine and space elevator here or there. ((An excuse for the 9AP over the limit for industry I incurred last turn. 150/2 is max for 2 CS. Now I have another CS, so the 9AP over the limit goes here.)).

0AP - Asgard opens an embassy on the capital of the Saryn State. Tourism is also permitted between the two nations.

10AP - Massive investment is put into agricultural projects, on all worlds.

5AP - The government, in conjunction with several universities, finances construction of an assault ship-sized civilian vessel for research and exploration purposes. The ARCV Thor Heyerdahl will be equipped with the latest sensor technology, cutting edge laboratories for physics and biological research, as well as dropships for away missions. Equipped with a light armament, the vessel is intended for long-range exploration and study of the universe's secrets.

6AP - Excavations at Os'laran continue! Defensive concerns have sapped government grants for careful excavation of the ancient and technologically advanced Saryn ruins, but for better or worse Asgard now has the resources to spare.

5AP - Research into the Distantium ion lances continues. Hopes are that the weapons will be able to quickly strip enemy shields, or even better, disable them completely from a distance.

0AP - Restrictions on the movement and activities of the Kalronians left over from the Incident are lifted, in thanks for good behaviour, help with military training, and the simple fact that they're no longer at war. The armed guards remain, but more as a policing force to prevent reprisal attacks from an angry human populace at large. The Kalronians are permitted to leave their internment compound - now converted into more of a town, with human residents who moved there for jobs relating to the upkeep of the prisoners making up a good amount of the population - and integrate into wider society. As of yet, however, the Kalronians are not permitted to leave the Republic.

Star Republic of Edonia

(2154)

General Activity:

Explosions rocked the landscape off in the distance, only loud cracks of war could be heard on the cold planet of Kaldorian B. It had only been two days since the Edonian soldiers landed alongside the Solarins and Protorians, base camp was rather busy before they left. High command had decided it would fit Leopoldo to be put in charge of the operation up north. Never before had his nerves been this bad, the previous battle was predictable for him but this was an entirely new beast.

The tank rummed underneath him has he rode alongside one of the many tank platoons heading up the middle of the formation. About three miles ahead the formations of grey-blue infantry could be seen cautiously advancing ahead. It seemed they were surrounded in one of the hundreds of valleys and mountains up north, it was especially cold too. Leopoldo looked over to one of his staff asking for the map of their surroundings, a hologram coming out in front of him with allied formations and the terrain on screen. “How long until Bravo company reaches the assigned front line.” The staff member coughed before pulling up a radio and asking receiving a tired voice, he then looked to Leo. “They’re just about to reach the peak of the cliff sir, they’ll be able to report any desig-.” Suddenly an explosion rocked the infantry formations ahead.

Shrapnel flew over Leopoldo’s tank as he instinctively hopped off it, his staff men quickly taking cover behind the Kalronian beast.

The radio lit up with voices as screams and orders were traded with command and the companies. The tank platoon quickly spread out in the valley taking up positions, Leopoldo looked around quickly gathering up his command team behind the furthest tank. “Order erratic maneuvers and get some spotters on those damn cliffs. Get eyes on and start calling in the artillery support, in the meantime call in the Solarin air support.” The staff quickly set about setting up their radios screaming out orders, the soldiers that accompanied the command team were already off over the mountain where disruptor fire could be heard.

After continuous shellfire for the next hour, Solarin jets flew over Leopoldo. Immediately he began to gather his team and headed towards the cliffs where his men were. Bombs and shells were falling around them as indirect fire from the Karass forces became off-balance thanks to the Solarin air support. Directly to his right an explosion rocked the cliff face sending three of his staff men flying, in his mind he knew they died instantly. “Get the **** up the hill!” he screamed as the small detachment behind him quickly regained their footing and continued upward. The immediate sight was awe striking, tracer fire and beams of energy could be seen flying across at eachother between mountain passes for miles on each side.

Immediately his men began to fan out along the skyline and instinctively he began to grab his radio and talk. “I need reports on sector zero-one-five-five, sector one-nine-one.” as he spoke he directed with his hands having the ten survivors dig in and construct a COP on the hill for him to command from. A deadlock would form for three days with the frontline making very little headway thanks to the terrain.

On the eighth day after the Solarins had exhausted themselves in brutal combat, Leopoldo stood at the tip of his ridgeline, his armored scarred and cut. With the quick movement of his hand the men rallied on him, below him in the valley the fresh Edonian soldiers could be seen lined in their trenches. Behind him he heard one of his staff members speak. “So much for modern day combat.” Leopoldo gripped his rifle before bringing his hand to his helmet. “Let’s show them our true teeth, commence the push.” With the last word leaving his mouth thousands of men could be seen charging out of their trenches, a deafening yell could be heard briefly before the cover of artillery, tanks, and MG’s began to reign onto the Karass-Redon positions..

As Leopoldo charged down the hill, bullets and explosions rocked the battlefield a few coming close enough to rip his arm clean off. Hopping the trench he entered the true killzone as he ran around dying and dead men of both human and alien origin. All along the men saw their leader charging straight into hell itself, picking themselves up and heading up his rear. The battered Karass and Redon’s were starting to feel battle fatigue as their ammunition became more spent and men became more tired. Leopoldo hopped over the first Karass trench and came face to face with the three armed freaks. The staff team behind him kept pace and began to fire into the trenches burning holes into both redons and karass alike. Leopoldo brought his sights up and fired directly at a Karass soldier attempting to stab one of his men, a beam quickly cutting its arm clean off causing it to scream shortly before being blasted by the man it was attempting to kill. All around him he saw the slaughter of the north in its truest form, hundreds were dying in melee combat. Leopoldo quickly set up in the nearest shell hole having his staff men set up around it as he set up the radio.

Loud and clear orders from the Protorian Battlemaster blared.
“The Redon-Karass forces have surrendered, halt hostilities and begin taking prisoners. No looting is to take place.”
Leopoldo relieved smiled to his nearby soldier, around him the sounds of violence slowly died. “Spread the word that the prisoners are to be taken to the Protorian center, treat our enemies with full respect and collect the bodies, they'll be returned after the wars over.” Shortly after a train of Redon and Karass troops marched past him in a large formation escorted by Edonian soldiers, he took a seat and removed his helmet. At his feet rest the Karass soldier he blew open, he ripped looked to see a note sticking it out of its holster. He took a picture of the xeno man’s dog tags then took the note out, it was in a dialect he obviously did not comprehend. Leo stuck it into his armors holster pocket, then stood to assess the battlefield.

The Great Palace of Tarnan’s doors stood open for all to enter. The record for the largest collection of humans on a singular Kanatan planet was shattered upon the final day of the Overseer’s rule. Hundreds of thousands had made the journey across Kanatan space to bear witness to the funeral of their great leader. A man who served his nation diligently and had passed on to another realm to serve his people once more.

His departure had not come in vain as he had left a successor to take the reigns of Head of State within Kanata. Wearing the bleached white robes and the Mask of Virtue, the new Overseer had been in observance of the burial of his predecessor. Only then had the people seen their leader’s face for the first and final time. A man whose features had been forgotten, name faded to dust, and positions removed at the moment of his election to Overseer many years ago laid still within the coffin.

Sacred hymns began to echo throughout the cathedral attached to one of the wings of the Palace. A choir of nearly two hundred began to sing at once as the coffin was raised by several members of the old Overseer’s council. His body was carried down the centre of the cathedral, allowing all those in attendance to bear witness to the final journey of the old Overseer. A turn was taken towards an open sarcophagus that had been placed before several statues of the Overseer, each one of them overlooking the many other empty sarcophagi before them.

At last, his coffin was laid within the stone chamber before being sealed with a solid marble block. The crash of the stone falling atop the sarcophagus echoed throughout the room many times, hushing the choir and all in attendance.

QfTaPl_38ReCUspgXemblqs4rQCy_76EIcPy6hz2PsL9YeOIVwSfh7QB9MG7-_bL4XwCg2mNPHJXHmLef4nFjBzi7JhM0E6wxI4y4gWqxqAhgoBOt28qZy8tHYjjtlVQAul8BKuZ

“WE REQUIRE MORE!” The rough and raspy shout echoed throughout the council chambers within the Palace of Tarnan. The first weeks following the new Overseer’s ascension had not come easy. With the tensions rising in the east and allies faltering only to be replaced, many of the councilmen did not know what to make of the current situation of their nation. “You’ve never opened your eyes, Krieger! With this technology we could auto-” The snivelling words of the scientist were cut off by a screech of a rolling chair with a few too many rust spots lodged in the wheels. YOU don’t seem to understand our men are dying because of your research!” His fist slammed against the table as his off hand pointed to the advisor. His mouth opened once more before he was cut short by the sound of a door hissing open behind Krieger.

“Now, friends, what troubles have we caused today in my absence?” The voice emitted across the room with a soothing aura. An almost mechanically perfected one at that. The white-gloved hand of the Overseer pressed onto Krieger’s shoulder to urge him to sit. “Being brash will have no benefit here, General Krieger. This is a council chamber, not a war room.” The Overseer glided towards his seat around the table opposite of Krieger. “Your equipment shall be made, while our technology shall advance. The foreign nations have taken a liking to our stockpiles of resources.” The smile could be heard in the man’s voice as he turned towards the man on his left dressed in a spotless white dress uniform. “Admiral, is there anything you may add to the discussion?”

Admiral Krashnov Viladski took a mere drag from his cigar in thought. “The capital ship portion of our fleet outclasses most others… Though, the lack of screen vessels to protect promotes unsatisfactory outcomes in conflicts.” The brawny Russian accent in the Admiral’s voice was unmistakable. The Overseer merely nodded, then waved them off to their respective sections of the palace. “Very well. Your issues have been heard, and will be addressed.”

“J-Ja! ‘Course O’erseer, ser!” The rambling of the head foreman within the industrial bays of the lower levels of Tarnan echoed back over the radio at the Overseer’s request. Jöntün hadn’t been tasked with an order in some time, and the new production lines were ready to go to work. He approached a hanging microphone within his office before flipping a red switch, turning on the transmission to the entire assembly plant. “Jöntün ‘ere lads n’ lasses! We gots us a bigg’un! Deadline’s end o’ t’year! So le’s get to work!”

The forges began to glow red hot as the mechanical arms slid and clacked across the ceilings. The casts for the A.T.C.-70’s plates had been in storage for some time, though it was now time to blow off the dust and begin production once more. Sparks flew across the open chasms of machinery and metalworking as piece by piece the mechs were each forged and stitched together with near-molten metal. Several thousand workers kept their eyes on screens, hooks, cauldrons, and robotic arms as each piece of the machines were built from scratch. The later days of the year brought forth a near end product, with the final deadline obtainable thanks to the industrial improvements from long ago.

The Sanctum Regnum Melitae

Anno Domini MMCLIII

dJDO2ED.png

With the Treatises of Humanity, its Sister Races, and Solidarity in Lithrua, the Sanctum Regnum Melitae officially joins the Lithruan Coalition. The terms it makes are simple, nearly as simple as the white peace signed just weeks earlier with the Han - a seat on the Council, a garrison for the Maltese Core Sectors, and the completion of the sale of well over 5,000 tons of xylorite.

To defend their space, a great project commences. What was originally the greatest Arcology of Humanity is made better once more, and guarded by the most powerful weapons the Maltese had ever conceived, though they are all built in such a way that they cannot swivel to point directly at the House. MD Devices and cutting-edge Disruptors adapted for land emplacements aim towards the skies, towards space, towards the enemy the Maltese know will soon come.

In its usual way of nearly-random diplomacy, one war is ended and one begun. The Sanctum Regnum, as part of the Lithruan Coalition, declares war on the Keerim Imperium days after entering. The Seraph Battlefleet, headed by Force Admiral Stacey Edelman, joins the combined forces of the Coalition soon thereafter. A glorious parade, filled with food and music and cheers, sends them off to die.

[Edonia has graciously offered use of its shipyards to the Sanctum Regnum for the year.]

[12 AP] - Two Heavy Cruisers, the Sin-Class Vainglory and Gluttony, begin construction.

[12 AP] - Four Destroyers, the Relic-Class Pompeii, Brindisi, Catania, and Siracusa, begin construction.

[14 AP] - Two Carriers, the Demon-Class Belias and Carnivale, join the fray. (One built in Malta, the other in Edonia).

[8 AP] - Four Frigates, the Templar-Class Sassari, Bienno, Susa and Olbia, join the fray.

[5 AP] - 400 Saqr II Fighters and 100 B4-X3 Bombers are built. Strange, that these found their way into Maltese arsenals.

[10 AP] - Money is sent to the Trade Federation for 3 colony ships.

[10 AP - 20 Total] - Money continues to pour into the reconstruction of the Titan.

[45 AP - 210 Total - 250 Total in Disruptor Armaments] - [MD Device] Project Sicily is revealed to be general disruption armaments research just as a deal comes out that the Maltese and the Kingdom of Armathwaite have come to an agreement - that an investment will be made by the true heirs of Great Britain into research on the MD Device and Disruption Weaponry, for shared general armaments research and Second-Generation Disruption Beam Lance technology (T3 MD Device given to Armathwaite). With it comes the introduction of the incoming DB-A Regime line of ship armaments, the new standard in the Maltese and Kingdom of Armathwaite fleets.

[135 AP - 155 AP Total on Rhodium - 11/30 Levels] - A project of inane proportions. Each section the cost of a Leviathan, but built with steel and nanocomposites and itoron alloys, protected by Ganvius-engineered city shields, and cities within building sections by their own rights, the great capital of Rhodius is expanded to ten times its size, a great sprawling mass of a tower, though its shape now resembles more a giant 10-pointed star.

[16 AP - 20 AP total] - The capital world of Rhodium finally receives much-needed defensive upgrades. Its capital surrounded by MD Device and Disruptor/Kinetic Flak emplacements, all controlled by VITC systems. Barbari ad mortem.

[10 AP] - The Sanctum Regnum offers to buy Trizendrium mining techniques in the beginning of the year, from anyone selling. If they don't find any sellers, what would have gone to a payment instead becomes research funds.

Solar Ascendancy

Nira walked down the sleek halls admiring the Saryn structure, her sons of five hold her hands staying at her side. “This is where you’ll be staying until your father comes back. You have to behave yourselves okay?”

The boys nod to their mother “Okay..” Arthur looks up at June as he walks up to them “I see you finally got to see your kids.” The two shyly hide behind her, Nira can’t help but smile. “I’d say take off your helmet, but I don’t want to frighten them anymore than they are.”

June removes his helmet with a laugh “Don’t need this old face to strike terror into them eh?” he kneels down roughly to their level “Prince Alex, Prince Arthur. Hello.” he gives a friendly smile “No need to be scared of me, you’ll be seeing me alot.” Alexander offers a small wave “Hi.” he offers back, Arthur still shy remains behind Nira.

“Come on Arthur, say Hi.” she tries to nudge him forward to no success. June stands up tucking his helmet under his arm “Don’t worry about it, it's a new place, a new world. I don’t blame them for being shy.”

“I’m sure they’ll warm up to you June, how’s the recruiting going?”

“Well we have twelve thousand initiates but that doesn’t mean we’ll have that many once training is done.”

“That’s true, well I trust you and the other Captains to do your jobs. Once we have our first proven batch we can Officially form them into a army. Our regular troops could barely keep up to standard Redon Troops without a technological advantage.”

“They’ll be the best, don’t you worry. Solaris Aeternum.” he plants his fist on his chest before walking past

“Momma, what does that mean?” Alexander ask, “Yah what Aternum mean?” Arthur adds, she just smiles

“Solaris is where you both were born..on Mars.” she pulls them in front of her kneeling down “Aeternum, is latin it means Eternal or Forever.”

“Solaris will never be gone, it’s so we never forget where we came from.”

Beside him lay Carol-49, spasming on the ground, surrounded by her own feces. Her fingers writhed across her skin like worms, her eyes rolled back into her skull and a bone cracked as her muscles coiled and tensed like krib beneath her skin. They fought to burst out of their prison and she jerked again, her head slamming into the ground. A cough followed by a burst of blood erupting from her lips sprayed his feet in a shower of crimson droplets. He shook, his body wracked by muscles screaming in pain.

“Augustus-72, what do you feel?” blared a voice from a corner of the room, warped by electricity and distance.

He grabbed his arms, his face twisted in pain as another spike of agony reeved its way through his body, shooting down his spine like a knife laying open his back.

“Augustus-72, what do you feel?” repeated that same voice, booming through his head until is echoed in a confusing cacophony.

“Stop!” cried out Augustus, falling onto the floor as his legs gave way beneath him. “I can’t go back inside.”

“Augustus-72, what do you feel?”

“It hurts,” he screamed, rolling into a ball of naked flesh upon the cold iron floor as two beams of light landed upon him. “I can’t do it anymore.” Had he volunteered for this? A small voice asked in the back of his mind. Had he been that insane from the start?

“Two more rounds, clear the failed subject,” said the voice, as cold and cruel as a blizzard.

Boots shook the floor beneath him as five men in white armor, with white masks upon their faces walked up and grabbed him, yanking him up with hands as hard and painful as stone.

“No!” he screamed, writhing in this grasp weakly. “I can’t do it again, don’t put me back!”

He was carried backwards, shoved inside a dark alcove with small, glowing lights dancing about him. Fae creatures to torment him in the darkness. Augustus lurched forward, towards the small door in the darkness. “No!” A blank-faced guard pressed a button and the door slid shut.

“No!”

Activity

The Markets of Armathwaite had recovered and the war in the South was coming to its close, with the sale of the entire stockpile of Dakite and Itoron concluded the Kingdom was flush with revenue to spend on whatever projects it required. Though there was a huge demographics issue with the newly acquired territories from the former Backhatta Hive gifted from the Redon Imperium from one Monarch to another. The Backhatta themselves needed to be fully integrated into Armathwaite Society and perhaps even join the elite. The business scouts of Armathwaite would begin identifying the largest of the Backhatta Corporations within its new territory to signal that they were ready for entry to the Government of Armathwaite to join the advisory Corporate Council.

Agriculture was the issue on many humans mind, with this new territory that was acquired the current state of agriculture was not enough to sustain the current human population of the Kingdom. The human population needed to be more than the Xenos to sustain the culture that had been cultivated by Edward and his supporters. Though migration was also a possible way to alleviate this Xeno pressure that had mounted itself upon the territories of the fair Kingdom. As such a deal was arranged with the Edonian Republican Systems to have a system of migration, along with Armathwaite offering proper incentives to Xenos to immigrate.

Naval Expansion and Technological Development were still key issues to the Kingdom, having made strides in two years with Disruptor Technology and wishing to make an even greater stride with the next year with the mass amount of resources available to the Kingdom. A deal was struck with the Maltese with a highly publicised agreement being made between two human Monarchs with handshakes included along with an official contract. Shipyard Expansion is sought and the entire years output at the joint Armathwaite-Solarin Shipyards are purchased at a fairly high rate with agreements that Knight Heavy Industries would handle the costs for shipyard upgrades. The Home Shipyards would also be upgraded at the same time, to ensure that there is always space for building ships within Armathwaite space.

Actions

Retainer is kept for the Bounty Hunter in the employ of the Kingdom, updates are requested for her progress on her mission through secure channels. She is asked to continue on the contract and is given autonomy to do so. (1AP)

Armathwaite would send resources to the Solarin Shipyards to build two Battleships and two frigates. (20AP)

Resources would be sent to the Solarins to upgrade their shipyards (19AP)

Resources would be put into the home shipyards to build 6 new destroyers and a small freighter maxing out the capacity of the home shipyards. (20AP)

Resources would be put into a mass agricultural project that would move to build farms on the planet Falkland and the Backhatta Planet that is newly acquired to increase human growth (100AP, 125AP Invested in Agri total)

A deal would be struck with the Maltese, with Armathwaite resources and researchers working with Maltese on Project Sicily in researching Disruptor Arms. (65AP to Malta)

Bio-Interfacing technology would receive further funding and resources to be put into the research project. Seeking to perfect it for Mech Combat and seeking to use it to communicate with the living planet. (20AP)

The two Level 4 Shipyards orbiting Gibraltar and Armathwaite respectively would be put to expansion to upgrade them both to level 5 (40AP)

Money is sent to Hephaestus Enterprises to help them pay off their services to Zyrka (10AP)

Production into building more of the Ground Mech Suit Range would be ordered to build a larger stockpile. (10AP)

The newly Acquired Backhatta Territories would be scouted, economically to find a Business Leader presumed strong enough to join the advisory oligarchic council of Armathwaite. (Mod)

100,000 Xenos of Armathwaite would be sought to start a migration program to Edonia, they'd be promised new opportunities in the Edonian Colonies and would be encouraged to partake. However it would be completely voluntary. (Mod)

Please Bring Defunct Droids to Designated Recycling Subsidiaries by the Third Quarter for Reimbursement. -Hephaestus Administration.

vpgUJqL.jpg

You are a droid. An Alastor droid, to be precise. The quadruped war-machine designed to fight the Corruptor menace in brutal melee combat. Powerful pneumatic claws crunch through the dirt and filth gathering on the Tassarean homeworld. The dead defenders and Corruptor invaders are piled like sandbags as cover against the unrelenting tide of murderous spider-beasts. Tassarean defenders, their eyes glazed over from sleepless nights, stare out across the shell-scarred battlefield almost unblinkingly. You are performing a patrol subroutine just in front of the trenches. Your scanning systems are constantly on the look-out for movement across the landscape and shattered buildings.

You detect a motion-spike, and pivot your nose-mounted heavy-laser towards its direction. You detect several more spikes, slowly approaching the Tassaran soldiers. Designation_target are attempting to ambush designation_friendly. You fire your laser towards a shadowy crater and the shrill screech fills the air along with the acrid stench of burning, corrupted flesh. Plasma-fire pours from the Tassaran line as Corruptors attempt to rush them. They are cut down in droves as they charge. One attempts to bypass you and skitter towards the defenders, but your tactical interface predicts the path it will take, and your claw stamps down on a rear leg. It screams in rage and fires two rounds of its kinetic weapon into your itoron-steel carapace. An ineffective strategy.

Your servos are distributed extra energy sapped from your weapon systems, and your second heavy claw clamps down on the designation_target’s face. You carefully crush its head, eliciting pained screeches and violent spasms from the spider-thing. After its spasms regress to mere twitches, you turn your laser towards a second corruptor attempting to attack you with some sort of crude, kinetic cutting instrument. It lands a strong hit on your laser-nozzle, and creates a small hole. Your combat directives state that the weapon is 16% less effective due to damage. You calculate the effectiveness of firing the weapon in this state, and conclude that it will be perfectly functional against designation_target. A bright red flash erupts from the nozzle and cleaves the corruptor into two smouldering halves. However, the escaping heat appears to have damaged your weapon further. Your combat directives advise no further use of armament_laser. Two corruptors barrel into your side in an attempt to immobilise you. You methodically tear one apart as the other strikes you ineffectively on the legs, but as you finish removing most of your target’s limbs the other scrambles away, along with the other survivors.

The Tassareans begin gathering up the bodies of the corruptors and add them to the grizzly defences. A number of them put down their weapons and remove their armour. They share embraces with their fellow soldiers before being lead away. The soldier in charge of your maintenance orders your return to the main base in order to have your damages seen to. You are replaced by another Alastor, and you march into the hold of a transport to shut down.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You reactivate in an office on Hades. Designation_target has been rewritten to designation_client according to your change-log. Your carapace has been replaced with a shiny, conventional steel variant, and your claws have been replaced with simplistic rubber feet. The Cordial Delivery Services logo is emblazoned on your sides as your new delivery manager loads up your hollowed-out sections with packages and physical mail to be sent. Your new Customer Satisfaction Matrix (csmatrix) informs you that quick and cordial deliveries are the best route to client satisfaction. You were purchased by the company as a gimmicky, head-turning advertisement for their business, so you stomp out of the office to perform your first job as satisfactorily as possible.

You march down the busy streets, parting the crowd as you go. You are far too wide to walk down this road, but it’s the shortest route to your destination. Employees speak aggressively towards you as you move, but the tactical interface concludes that it’s not relevant to your directive. Some of them furiously write things on data-pads and take note of the logo you carry with you, which is in turn noted by the csmatrix. You encounter a food-cart in the narrow street that blocks your progression. The tactical interface concludes that it must be moved to complete the objective. The csmatrix claims property damage results in low scores on satisfaction surveys. The tactical interface claims that unless the cart is moved you will not reach their objective on time. The csmatrix concedes on this point. The owner, however, appears perturbed, but you are following the programmed combat directive for obstacles, and it did not specify whether the obstacle remains upright. You exit the street and stamp into a large transport parking lot. This is your destination. A few people are there, pointing at you and observing you curiously. One approaches and speaks her name clearly along with her order number. The client_delivery subroutine is activated, and you lower yourself down as the compartment containing her package unlocks. A newly installed manipulator arm reaches into hatch, and retrieves a small parcel, holding it out to her. The people watching clap and laugh. You are an unusual droid, but very unique. The woman laughs as she retrieves her package, and pats your side. The combat subroutines your owners forgot to remove are engaged.

Normally it would require more force from an assailant to initiate combat, but your owners shoddily deleted sections of code and left others incomplete—either out of laziness, or ineptitude in reprogramming a former killing machine. You knock down the assailant and place one of your rubber feet on her chest. It doesn’t seem to do much, but your scanning array detects bone-fractures as you increase the force. You attempt to re-route more power to your servos, but the tactical interface claims all extra power is being consumed by cs_matrix subroutine “satisfactionanalysis.”

The client is apparently thoroughly unsatisfied.

It matters little, however. Given ten minutes the assailant will asphyxiate or perish through internal bleeding. You detect further assailants attempting to decouple you from designation_client by applying direct force against your leg. Your combat directives inform your nose-mounted heavy-laser to fire at an assailant to your right. No_input. You request a status report from your tactical interface, and it begins to run a system-scan in order to find the issue. It refers you to the combat directives for further actions. You look to your combat directives, and it informs you to fire your nose-mounted heavy laser. No_input. Security forces arrive. They fire a few laser-bursts into your unarmoured leg servos, and you collapse upon the ground relieving pressure from the assailant. You’re experiencing a command-input cycle error, and no directives available in your programming can rectify it. Your owner arrives on the scene and issues the shut-down command.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You reactivate outside of a warehouse in one of many industrial districts. Your flimsy steel carapace has been replaced by itoron-steel, and your pneumatic claws and laser-turret are online and fully functional. You’ve been painted Hephaestus-blue with the symbol of the Enforcers on your front-section. You’re surrounded by designation_friendly Enforcer officers who are lining up on either side of a wide steel door. You receive your first command; engage:subroutine_breach.

Your servos whirr into life, and you stomp forward. Your scanners have been enhanced to detect joints and structural weaknesses in buildings. You raise yourself on your hind-legs and place your frontal claws on the door with a loud clang. Your scanner detects a rusty padlock and chain holding the door closed from the inside. You sever it with one laser-shot, and re-route power to your frontal claws to push open the heavy steel door. It swings open with a loud screech and the Enforcers rush inside shouting commands. Designation_vagrant groups scatter into the depths of the warehouse, knocking over their few possessions and crying out in fear. Your handler issues directive_halt. He rushes off into the factory to join his comrades while you stand motionlessly just within the warehouse foyer.

Over time, vagrants are dragged out the door past you. Some cry, some scream abuse at the Enforcers, some even try to beg and bargain, but all of them are lead out of the warehouse, stripped of their illegal currency and property. If you are not employed by Hephaestus Enterprises, you are violating corporate law by remaining on Hephaestus property. At least, that is the explanation the new LAW&PROTOCAL system gives to you. Your tactical interface is attempting to engage combat subroutines due to the vagrants making the area unsafe for designation_friendly officers. The LAW&PROTOCAL system rebuffs it, as killing designation_vagrant without ample cause would be a violation of law. Your combat directives agree with both. Your csmatrix deems that there are many packages still to deliver, and that the previous task was not completed. Your tactical interface deems that package delivery protocols ought to be deleted.

A pair of officers has difficulty restraining a particularly large Karass, and they do not notice another Karass vagrant quietly moving around the shadows beneath your legs. This one appears to be unaccounted for. Your scanners detect a small kinetic armament being loaded. Your tactical interface proclaims the necessity to execute the dangerous foe, while the LAW&PROTOCAL system declares the individual safe from all uses of deadly force unless they physically endanger designation_friendly. Your csmatrix expresses that the armed client appears unsatisfied with the Enforcer’s services, and were unlikely to recommend them to friends. The vagrant fires at one of the officers, catching him in the leg.

Your tactical interface and LAW&PROTOCAL systems deem that the use of deadly force is now both necessary, and legally acceptable. Your csmatrix concludes that the only way to further positive public relations with the other clients is to pacify this violent one so the others may receive proper services in safety. Your combat directives immediately begin their work, and you send an energy-efficient kick into the side of the vagrant. The vagrant falls completely prone with a yelp, and you position a claw over their head. The tactical interface redirects power from the heavy laser. You push down with the full weight of your carapace and pneumatic force. The assailant screams briefly, but is silenced by a sickening, wet crunch. The Karass' head is much softer than the Corruptor variant. The body begins twitching as Enforcers race over screaming the “halt” command. Your LAW&PROTOCAL system refuses to recognise the order, as it’s not from your designated handler.

Your handler is loudly vocalised at by another Enforcer of higher rank, and a few others walk away to violently expel the contents of their stomach. Your csmatrix determines that your services were sub-par and resulted in poor satisfaction. You are issued the shutdown command.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You reactivate in a smelting plant with two weary-looking workers looking up at you. They order you up on a conveyor belt, and give the “halt” command. Your servos groan and squeak, begging for lubricant. By your internal clock, you’ve missed six mandatory maintenance checkups. Other than a bit of rust and some stiffness in your joints, you appear to be fully operational despite it.

The conveyor is covered with droid parts, all unsalvageable by your scans. Most of them appear to be from Alastor models such as yourself. However, you might be the only fully functional one. You can detect some faint signals requesting orders that are no longer received by any command centre. A few intact Alastors among the debris stand silently, covered in the rust and grime of decades and have likely been non-functional for just as long. A sudden jolt heralds the conveyors movement. At the end of the belt you detect an enormous heat-spike, more than enough to melt your carapace and render you inert.

Your tactical interface informs you that you must remain functional in order to destroy designation_target. Your csmatrix deems that it will be impossible to raise client satisfaction levels if you are incapable of performing ample and prompt services. Your LAW&PROTOCAL system tells you that as an Enforcer-designated droid you may only take commands from your handler and/or the High Commander. Your combat directives are fully capable of walking off this conveyor with little power-draw, or so they say.

And just like that, you pivot your carapace to the left, and walk off the conveyor with the grace of a four-legged, two-tonne refrigerator. Some workers spot you and shout the “halt” command numerous times, but as they aren’t your handler you don’t heed them. None of them attempt to physically stop you as you stomp out of the smelting plant. As you walk into the deserted street, your scanners detect what appears to be a condensation-drainage pipe—just the sort of place designation_target would hide according to your tactical interface.
Your LAW&PROTOCAL system informs you that it is illegal for employees to patrol the pipe, but you are probably exempt because you are a droid. Your csmatrix thinks that the water would clean away some of your grime, which will make you more presentable to clients. Your combat directives can determine where to step in order not to fall over in the low-light environment.

As you trudge through the water deeper and deeper into the drainage system, your combined programs determine what their main directive is, and the LAW&PROTOCAL system claims that as you have no direct Enforcers handler, you are technically a free agent or vigilante.

You pose a question to the programs: “What is free?”

The great war was over in the south. Destruction was evident almost everywhere, yet in the middle of it all Hephaestus Enterprises made it through the horrible conflict scarred, but intact. The interest of the Corporation was serving their customers, and now that customers could receive products again the river of wealth had to flow once more. The time had come to do the thankless, arduous work of jump-starting trade in the south once more.

-The Board gives a hefty portion of the yearly budget to re-establishing trade in the south. Advertisements for Hephaestus products are sent to all states surrounding the corporation. MEGA-MARTS(TM) are sent out to war-torn worlds to sell cut-price survivalist gear, preserved food, water purifiers etc. Planetary rulers are negotiated into dealing with local pirate groups. Every effort to break the trade-block is performed. (-20AP towards business)

-An investment is made into upgrading the trade-port above Hades. The Administration-world would be a girthy trading-hub as before, and it pushed to accommodate new business opportunities! (-20AP towards +6 trade-partners)

-Mines, factories, and other industrial works are built to push out new Hephaestus products for a happy public! (-20AP towards industry)

-After a huge population boost, three more colony ships are chartered at the Auroran shipyard. (-9AP towards colony ships)

-Another two MOVING MEGA-MARTS (TM) are chartered at the Auroran and Hades shipyards. A small support freighter is also built because... why not, right? (-14AP towards two large freighters, and one small freighter)

-Seeing how woefully under-performing Hephaestus laser-weapons are compared to foreign examples, the Board authorises resources to be distributed to Chiron Armaments to increase their capabilities of their... armaments. Sometimes writing can be hard, guys. (-28AP towards laser-weaponry, total of 54AP invested)

-Energy is everything when the main armament of your nation relies on electricity. The Board leans heavily on the engineering subsidiaries to deliver a new form of reactor, capable of handling Hephaestus energy needs. Thus, the Hemera Reactor Project is announced. (-20AP towards the Hemera Reactor Project)

-Payment is sent to the Zyrka for services rendered, with the remainder being paid for by the Kingdom of Armathwaite and the Trade Federation. (-15AP)

-Young Johnny Penrith, now a talented psionic after his years in the totally respectable and perfectly adequate Grand Alliance psionic academy,  enters Laboratory Complex A to see the remnants of the Corruptors. He observes sample of their gizzards, and the powerful mutative cells that caused so much pain for countless nations. Gathering together all the research on the corruptors performed by Corporate scientists, he hops on the small freighter Grgl Gondola and heads towards the Ka’cezh Star Empire. His interest is to heal the last remaining infected patients as a test of his abilities, and as a personal “cheers, mate” from Hephaestus Enterprises for ending the Corruptor threat. (-0AP, John heads north)

-A new colony is established far away from the settled Hephaestus rectangle. This time settling on a planet with a super secret resource! (Don't tell anybody, though!) The corporation also claims three sectors bordering their property.(-0AP)
