The third and final model before production commenced, the B4-M3 is a state-of-the-art bomber. Engineered jointly by a team of LSAA and Federation researchers, it possesses a vicious array of offensive capabilities and a tough skin to boot. The B4-M3 is fitted to carry large payloads of all sorts into battle. Alternatively, is capable of being deployed for fast raids due to its powerful warp drive, outranging most fighters and some lesser craft.

Crew:

1x Pilot

1x Co-Pilot - Warp Calibrator, Radioman

1x Bombardier

1x Tail Gunner

Flight:

The B4-M3 possesses an incredibly efficient vertical flight mode. It does sacrifice some of these capabilities though in exchange for additional stabilizers and more processing power dedicated to smooth flight and stunningly good controls for a heavy duty bomber.

Armament:

2x Front-facing Houston Rail-Cannons w/various types of ammo: Used primarily against static or ground targets, they add additional clout to the B4-M3 in combat situations where the enemy gets in range of the cannons devastating firepower. Effective against large ships, space stations, ground targets or any pilot foolish enough to set his ship in their sights.

2x Rattler Laser Chain Guns - Back-Facing Ball Turret: A defensive ball turret positioned at the back of the B4-M3 with additional shielding layered on it. Uses VITC to assist the gunner.

Multi-Yield Bomb bay - The B4-M3 possesses the capacity to deliver a huge variety of destructive ordinance. From all manner of torpedo to missiles, guided or unguided bombs as well as a collection of less conventional weapons. All guided by the Bombardier with the aid of the VITC.

2x Point Defense Arrays - One on top, one on the bottom of the ship.

Defenses:

-Dual-phased shielding

-Thick itoron armor in strategic places, normal in the others.

Others:

-Warp capability

-Modular

-One Medium and one small Xylorite reactor to power the many demanding systems on board the bomber.

The Kingdom of Unified Systems

Fleet + Pop Link

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grand General Rickard paced back and forth around an office filled to the brim with now outdated documentation, upon his face rested an expression of anger and frustration, eventually a buzz was heard from the door of the office and he immediately rushed towards it, slamming his fist into a button near the door it slide open and two young and identical men stood outside, one was dressed in a fine KUS military uniform and the other in a dusty jumpsuit. The man in the uniform saluted Rickard and the man in the jumpsuit stood with a box of documents resting in his arms, Rickard saluted back, saying in his usual rude and irritating tone towards the uniformed man "George, late as usual and who is this?" George gulped and quickly responded "I have a perfect reason sir, and he is my twin sir." Rickard raised an eyebrow at the man in the jumpsuit before sighing out "Why did you bring him?" he raised his hand and rubbed his forehead before continuing "This is not a matter of engineering." George was quick to respond and blurted out "We found some documents you could use and you also told me you needed more loyal men." Rickard rolled his eyes as he responded "Yes I do need loyal men, but I do not require an engineer at this time Cadet George, now grab the documents and step in." George took a deep breath and gulped before answering back again "Sir you said if I helped you I would get a high ranking position in the new regime, I was hoping you could get him a position in the military immediately so he can assist us, it's very hard to get in with how small it is." Rickard suddenly grabbed George and pulled him into the office, slamming him against the wall and shutting the door, leaving the twin outside "Never speak so loudly about such delicate matters in public again, we never know when the prying girl Lyara and her puppet master Claire will appear, understood?" George nodded quickly before Rickard continued "Good, now bring the other in, I will secure him a place in my plans." George slowly pried himself from Rickard's grip and opened the door, beckoning his twin inside "This is Harry, he found these documents snooping around after I told him about the new regime." George said to Rickard as Harry entered with the large dusty box. Harry set the box down on the floor and Rickard began to question him "Where did you get this box?" "I saw some men locking it in a room a while ago, when George told me about this plan, I stole some tools from the engineering department and broke into the room, taking the box out." Harry replied nervously "What else was in the room?" Rickard interrupted "Nothing sir, it was the only thing in the room." Harry continued "Did you lock the room again afterwards, if anyone finds out.." Rickard interrupted again "I fixed the lock afterwards, nobody will know unless they enter the room." Harry replied anxiously "Understood, you two are dismissed, I will send someone to retrieve both of you when I'm done inspecting these documents." Rickard stated blandly as he escorted the two outside.

Richard stood before a dented, scratched and burnt metal door, the lock was melted and on it rested a door handle, stuck via tape, Richard had a look of disgust and extreme worry on his face, although he felt some what relived that the thief was so bad in breaking in that he knew his belongings had been stolen. Richard turned away from the door and he saw Lyara watching him "What happened?" she said in a calm voice seeing the worry on his face "Somebody has broken into my storage room." Richard almost shouted at her "What was in there?" she questioned, seeing how worried he was about the matter "Highly classified documents only I should see, now don't ask again." Richard replied in an angry tone, before quickly walking away, leaving Lyara standing with a confused look behind him..

Thulean Republic

burning_city_concept_by_sancient-d3d9kuz

Espérance, once a vibrant capital city of a prosperous nation, was ablaze. Trizendrium detonated and disruptors fired in defence, and phasic beams fired in aggression had all turned home to pyre and streets to rivers of fire. The battle was won and casualties had been miraculously fewer than anticipated, but there was plenty to grieve over and to rebuild. 16,000 Thulean lives lost was not something to be glad about. After a brief meeting with the Saryn Lord, Margek, and the King Edward of Armathwaite, Consul Montesquieu set about undoing the damage that had been wrought in the first strike of the Replicants. Espérance may have been ashes, but it would rise again.

Vast amounts of surplus resources flowed in from not only Thulean colonies, but neighbours too, as Montesquieu authorised the acquisition of hundreds of thousands of tons of building supplies from the surrounding alien nations for a considerable sum of money. Over the course of several arduous months, the work began to show, and a new city took form.

Espérance was reborn under a new name: Phénicie.

coe_update5_by_prdart-d7ww6jo.jpg

The hole left by the 16,000 dead had not been filled, it couldn't be, but at least the material scars were healed, and the Thulean Republic would be stronger than ever before. The Replicant attack had demonstrated to the Thuleans the need for greater protection than they had previously fielded. Two times now the Thuleans had faced extinction, and two times they had faced it down, but to allow any more was too great a risk. As a result, a motion passes through the Senate near unanimously to begin a rapid militarisation program, this year consisting of three different projects.

The first was a massive expansion of the Svarog Shipyards with the help of the Trade Federation, more than tripling its production capacity and allowing far larger ship classes than the Thuleans had ever created before. The Marine Républicaine had always been far smaller than other fleets, even compared with other humans, and though strategic prowess had more than compensated in the past, the need to compensate would have to be mitigated. In the coming years, Svarog Shipyards would begin churning out more, larger ships for both the Republic and her staunch allies in the Free Economic Zone.

dragon__s_nest_redux_by_strangelet.jpg

The second and third were the construction of two utility stations, close in proximity to Svarog. One was a Quantum Anchor, originally invented by the Maltese, provided to the Thuleans by Hephaestus Enterprises. As had been demonstrated many times previous, such a technology's impact was more than decisive both tactically and strategically, and in a galaxy where it was ever more commonly used, it was a necessity for modern warfare. The other was done in conjunction with the Trade Federation, who had created a technology known as TAROT. Federation engineers would man the TAROT station, but the Thuleans were to have complete and constant access to its uses.

Elsewhere, state-sponsored business enterprise in the ports of the Chupan'Mo continues and is expanded. The Chupan'Mo had already began their part of the agreement by trading through the Thuleans, and it was paying great dividends for both parties. With such a lucrative market open to the Thuleans, it only made sense to sink more investment into the companies and merchants who worked there.

The newly revealed lost human colony, New Siam, is almost immediately contacted by the Thulean Republic alongside the Kingdom of Armathwaite, who present an offer to the Siamese.

The freighter captain’s eyes widened in alarm as the ship lurched, throwing him against the bulkhead.

“What was that?”

“It wasn’t an asteroid, captain. I’m dispatching a team to check the damage.”

“I didn’t ask what it wasn’t!” The barest hint of panic was audible in the captain’s voice. They hadn’t expected any trouble in this sector, and were for all intents and purposes unarmed. To be attacked during a routine planetary scan would be an ignominious end for the thousands of colonists onboard, to say the least.

He stumbled across the bridge to the viewscreen, paranoia quickly building. “Spin up the warp drives. Whatever hit us, it wasn’t good.”

“Negative, sir. The impact appears to have disabled our main warp thruster. I’ll start taking us away from the planet, but if there’s an emergency, we’re stuck here.”

The captain nodded. “Couldn’t have been a mistake. Tell the marines to be ready.”

“Yes captain....we’re being hailed, sir.”

“What?”

The viewscreen shifted, to reveal no less than ten small craft swarming towards the freighter from behind a nearby moon. They were of mixed wear and model, but all appeared to be shuttles and civilian ships outfitted with makeshift itoron-steel armor, and all bore oversized guns on their spines.

“HSF Zhou Man...this is captain Shi Feng, in the service of the Dao Yi and the legitimate government of the Dominion. There is no need for Han blood to be spilled today. Lower your shields and cut your thrusters, and all of you will be treated like citizens of our glorious nation deserve.”

The captain grimaced. Was the blockade of Taiyuan doing nothing? He pressed a button to respond.

“...traitor.”

“I’m sorry to hear that,” replied the voice. “When this is over, don’t say I didn’t offer.” The line went dead.

“Prepare to repel boarders!”

----------

“...the time of appeasement has passed. The corrupt sheep of Xin Xi’an and their Jinyiwei dogs have attempted to hold back our advance, and have failed. It is clear to see that they lack the will and the ability to win this war. All of those still loyal to your people: rise up! We shall spread through the land of the Han like wildfire, we will besiege their planet, we will-”

The recording was abruptly paused, the masked holographic head of the Dao Yi hanging in midair. An uncomfortable silence hung over the courtroom as the remaining four Daos gazed down at the assembled officers from four identical thrones.

“We were able to contain viewership of the transmission on the capital and to a lesser extent on Fanyu, but frankly our oversight is more limited in the colonies,” explained Yimu. “We must assume that most of the outlying population is aware of the loss of the Zhou Man, and I’m sorry to report that it is already causing problems. Our agents on Jianshan report that the local garrison has been moving into position around their spaceport.”

Beside the High Inspector, Jie winced. Jianshan was the third most populated planet in the Dominion, and the source of well over half its xylorite. To lose it to the crisis would be devastating, particularly with the internal divisions that still plagued the central government.

The farthest Dao on the right turned its gaze to the admiral, its expression unreadable. “How did this happen?”

“Our blockade is incapable of detecting infallible mesh, sir. It seems General Shi has been sending his ground forces offworld on what remaining shuttles he has, where they’ve been commandeering merchant vessels and similarly outfitting them.”

“It would explain the piracy in the northern sector,” commented the Dao on the left.

“Indeed. I of course accept full responsibility, however I am sure that the council recalls that I originally advised against such a passive strategy. The longer we allow the insurrection to sit unchecked on its planets, the more likely it is that they will find ways to advance. We must strike back as soon as possible, and for that I need an army.” Jie stood resolute, addressing the line of cloaked figures all at once.

“What the admiral is advocating is an appeasement of the fanatic traitor Zeng Xue,” Yimu interjected. “In other words, he would have you play directly into the narrative of my equally traitorous brother.”

“And son,” interrupted the second figure from the right. Yimu grimaced.

“Regardless, an alliance with this man will create far more problems that it is worth, and there are other ways to bring this crisis to an end. Admiral Huang is a sensible man, but in this case his judgement must be clouded by his personal relationship with the fanatic. Treachery must not be tolerated.”

The accusation apparently struck a nerve, as Jie shot Yimu a brief glare. Nevertheless, he turned back to the Daos.

“Putting aside spurious attacks, I can only reiterate the truth. Whatever Xue may be, we need his men. If we wait any longer, this situation may spiral out of control.” Only silence met his words. The masked council turned towards each other, and Yimu for the first time today felt at a disadvantage. Jie could listen in to their thoughts as they debated among themselves through their helmet transponders. Yimu could not.

After what seemed like an eternity, they turned back, and the rightmost figure spoke.

“Admiral Huang is correct. Due to both of your respective failures, this crisis is now far beyond the realm of any ideal solution. We will call the grand assembly, where we will announce accedence to Zeng Xue’s demands, but I cannot stress enough how profoundly disappointed we are in your performances. You will not fail again.”

The two officers nodded nearly simultaneously, as the Dao waved them away. But as they turned their backs, it spoke again.

“High Inspector. A moment.”

Yimu stopped in his tracks, and eyed Jie as he exited the room. Turning back to the council, he bowed slightly.

“I am at your service.”

“Your assessment is also correct. Appeasement of the traitor will only destabilize our position in the long run. We will require a solution in the near future...after he has been of use to us.”

“You wish me to remove him after his armies are scattered?”

The cloaked figure was silent.

“Consider it done.”

“Good.” Several of the council nodded in satisfaction. “And...what of your other project?”

Yimu smiled. “We are in position. Impossible to estimate our chances of success, but I am optimistic.”

They nodded again, and the second from the left spoke for the first time. “Excellent. You will of course update us regularly. You are dismissed, High Inspector. Give our best to your wife, will you? Her recent work has been above satisfactory.”

The familiarity would have seemed out of place to anyone else, but it only served to remind Yimu who he was. The gnawing worry he had begun to feel subsided, and his smile remained.

“Thank you, Dao San. I will.”

And with that, High Inspector Shi Yimu bowed again and left the room, newly emboldened.

Impeccably dressed as always, Hanying sat in a luxurious armchair, one leg crossed over the other, a small datapad in one hand and a glass of tea on a table to her right. The drink was expensive to import this far from other Han, but she had never had trouble affording such things: Jie’s bank accounts in the north were at her disposal, and they were considerable.

Both chair and table had been drawn out to the very middle of the living room, and all around her Cevelli worked, carefully and diligently moving her belongings into boxes one by one. Paintings, furniture, cookware, books, all would have to be moved. The house itself had served her well: comfortably large but tasteful, it stood in a quieter area of the Cevelli capital and afforded her a fantastic view on clear days. Nevertheless, the north would never be her home.

“Two hands, please,” she clucked, not taking her eyes away from the datapad. “Thank you.” Behind her, she felt the surprise of the maid carrying her favorite vase, who promptly shifted to a firmer grip. Hanying stifled a smile. That never got old.

She flipped through various dry documents: updates on new developments at the university, and the occasional report on some of Jie’s investments, which she had been helping to manage recently. Under normal circumstances, she realized, she’d have been reluctant to deal with all of it at once, but she found herself profoundly unsettled today.

It was all because of the Visitor, obviously. Hanying was far from a victim: generally speaking, any strange man that attempted to introduce himself in her bedroom past midnight would have a very bad night. This one hadn’t been interested in anything vile, as far as she could tell, and yet if he had wished to end her life she had no doubt that he could have. It was not an experience she was used to, or one that she particularly wanted to repeat.

Nevertheless, the Visitor’s offer had been interesting to say the least, and wholly unexpected. Hanying had never been able to resist an adventure, and this had been no different. Perhaps the weakness would be used against her one day; perhaps it already was. Oh well. She hadn’t left the Dominion to sit in an empty house and build up someone else’s fortune. Speaking of which...she’d have to find someone she could trust to represent her if she, like Jie, was going to be out of the north. For a time, likely candidates swirled in her thoughts, temporarily washing away the memory of the Visitor.

She absentmindedly twirled her finger, and the tea beside her formed a small whirlpool. Glancing up, she realized that the living room was already nearly completely bare. The Cevelli worked fast. Of course, there was that pile of her clothes that they had apparently seen fit to place in the dustiest corner…

She loudly cleared her throat, and as if by magic several of the maids seemed to coincidentally notice the error. Within a moment, the offending apparel was out of sight, presumably being cleaned.

Hanying smiled, and sipped her tea. Whoever said it was hard to find good help these days clearly lacked the right leverage.

----------

The blockade of Taiyuan utterly fails as Shi Feng, in a masterstroke, is able to bypass it by use of the USA’s infallible technology, through piracy soon building a fleet of improvised troop transports. With the hijack of the HSF Zhou Man, the Insurrection suddenly makes itself known as a real power within Han space: the colony freighter is last seen sailing to the southeast.

Terrified of a new rebel colony in close proximity, and gripped by opportunistic ambition, the garrison of the alpine world Jianshan suddenly declares itself for the Dao Yi, and seizes the planet, cutting off the Dominion as a whole from its primary source of xylorite and for the first time bringing significant industrial power under the control of the traitors. The news shocks the government on Yuguo, and even the Jinyiwei is unable to prevent it from spreading to the general population.

Amidst the ensuing general panic, the Triple Crescent, led by the fanatic preacher Zeng Xue, announces that the Dominion has accepted its divine authority: as the favored servants of the Old One, they are to guide the Han to their ultimate destiny as the universal messiah. Zeng vows that his troops will smite the Insurrection, as in return his organization begins to receive government funding. Mere hours later a grand assembly is called, the first in several years, and the Daos announce that every word of what Zeng has said is true. They allow no debate, and the assembly is dissolved immediately following the announcement.

Finally with an army behind his back, Jie pushes hard for the construction of troop transports, but the navy’s resources have already been fully dedicated to another project. In return for their long service and investment into the glorious Dominion, the Han have decided to send a gift to the USA: the first dreadnought produced in Beijing Stronghold, the USS Constitution.

Z-h7hDLxmXXr5vICH5oD5_7qh4KwIAX9k-uKLQy-WgAFa-WwGLysAttUBbj_MHjSBP8UC4ktybAj73E-N8TYo24u8421xtn9a4xzP68V25eMp7TEdM2Yf9QRPHUG3XnsIgvkkQH3

2400 meters long, and bearing numerous railgun and laser batteries along with with torpedo and ICBM tubes, the Constitution serves as a resounding statement of the Dominion’s manufacturing capabilities. It is also a work of art, its itoron-steel hull carved with bas-relief depictions of the history of both the Han and Arcturan people, from their respective glorious histories on earth to their equally glorious progression in space. As it is presented to the Han’s allies, a formal thanks is sent to the Arcturan public.

Meanwhile, weapons development continues. Gaining more and more experience with plasma weaponry, Han engineers continue to scale up the technology, optimizing its range and focus for the environment of space conflict.

EqYy2qe0Ltrq8cQS5JNQOnkvL4ouDmXGbbPK4xjxHSoFnhwL3dcNoNoAqc9-gV4Z2YY0vph-owNMAkuZo0RJV3zVHV8363iAcdmfOoA87HynnzlEnktA7RubXDiwlhZbXYK4w16d

When plasma weaponry is installed on the new Han fleet, the navy wants it to revolutionize its tactics. It seems no claim hasn’t been made: the engineers say the new warships will reload ammunition at any nearby gas giant, that their cannons will chew through shields and armor alike, that there is no possibly countertactic to their new superweapon. Jie remains largely silent through all this, having firsthand experience with the weaponry of truly advanced nations and not falling for the hype. He does, however, have rather strict standards, being used to Ka’cezh capabilities. The admiral makes it very clear that if a subpar weapon is delivered to his navy, he will send it right back.

Despite the problems facing the Dominion, the government orders yet another colonial freighter.

Dai Hanying sells her house in the Cevelli capital for a tidy profit, and prepares to leave the system.

The Maltese Principalities

The Verona sped forward, its jump drive already spooling and railguns pointed towards the enemy fleet. All of High Command was watching, dozens of quantscreens and radars blaring and flashing red as it entered firing range.

The bright flash that followed stopped any further probing.

--

In the grand ballroom, high atop the Rhodium House of Malta, sat the many Maltese Princes, their families, and their closest retainers. They had not convened for ten years, almost, since John had taken complete control of the Order. Now he had called them together again, and sat at the head of the long, central table. Though rapidly showing signs of age, he cut a strong figure - tall, muscled, and a head of salt and pepper hair. He wore still the white-gold uniform of the Grand Master, now the suit of the Cardinal Prince.

"My friends. We are descendants of the regimes of old. Nobles of dead empires, sons and daughters of kings and queens."

Light claps, smiles. Malta had done well, these past years, and its government was still controlled by the ancien regime that had owned the Order since time immemorial.

"Nonhumans of all shape conform to the Maltese way, whether that be learning our customs or defending our people. Never before have so many foreigners been so integrated into our society as today."

"I did not call for convenio just to congratulate you, though. I called to tell of our plan for the future. Of an empire that will span the stars, that has more far territory than even the aliens that travelled space before us. Of a story."

On the word 'empire' being spoken, some among the table sat rigid. Some shifted their gazes to those that they had allied with, or nodded furtively to retainers.

"Less than half a century ago, we came from being brought low by the destruction of our kingdoms, from living off dwindling fortunes, to becoming princes. Over two dozen sectors of space are under our control. Somehow, though, we are still considered weak. Our strategic funds are well-managed enough, but our gaze continues to fall."

John smiles, weakly, and for a moment his eyes flash with regret.

"We are as corrupt as our ancestors. The Habsburgs were once a great empire, one of the strongest in Europe. We were destroyed, not by the Serbs, or the Russians, but by ourselves. Your families, I fear, ended in the same way. I am here to amend that."

Some shift in their seats, and one prince in black begins to reach to his waist.

"I proclaim the beginning of the Renovatio."

--

"...an explosion late last night went off on the 503rd floor of the Rhodium House, believed to be caused by subversive elements in the government. It is believed every current Prince was killed in the blast, including the Cardinal Prince. A strict curfew has been put in place, and a search nationwide for the bomber has begun. The last known edict of the Cardinal Prince, the Renovatio Melitae, has installed his son on the throne and induced sweeping reforms throughout Maltese space. The Sanctus Regnum Melitae, as his regime is called, has titled him Francis Joseph II, King of Malta, Archduke of Habsburg-Lorraine, Lord of the Outremer, Sole Cardinal of the Vivifica Catholica, and Grand Master of the Order of Malta. The Rebel systems of Caesaria and Ascellon have raised their flags for self-titled Cardinal Prince Tomas Koch, and fleets have been dispatched to blockade New Tuscany and Acr."

Centari would pace back and forth the boardroom his board members sitting nervous. A choice needed to be made Repairer or Infinity one of them had to be Suspended so we could respond to the reports of the attacks by these Replicant fleets.

"Alright, Repairer is to be Suspended until I feel we have bolstered our defenses Enough to stand anything resembling what the rumors and reports show."

Around half the Table would speak up trying to Change his mind on which project all at once this would go on for several seconds before one of the Destroyer captains barged into the boardroom

"Sir Beta Colony is set and ready to begin the expansion."

This news silences the room a moment before Centari would speak up
"Good Begin Immediately."

Chapter II: Old Shadows

((Before you scroll down and set on. Please be mindful of your population and please, PLEASE list in your posts if you have any population modifiers. Thank you kindly.))

It was an active year, dangerous perhaps, but the stint of the Replicants was brief, most of the attackers being destroyed by the Redon war machine, just to then retreat everywhere to no-man’s-space. With them being off the radar, something else was brewing on the horizon, and it would be a danger unexpected.

-----

Frontier Colony Affiliation

The Frontier Colony Affiliation completes another colony ship this year, living up to their name, the ship likely will head out toward a far-off hinterland, establishing another small outpost for the nation.

The freighter quickly follows the colony ship out of the shipyard, ready to be deployed to the already significant merchant fleet of the Affiliation.

Business on Utopie continues to expand this year as the Affiliation heavily invests in developing the most populous and centrally located of its colonies.

Despite all efforts the scientists are unable to make any notable progress on the development of this melee weaponry. The technology pre-existing at the same time also shows to be no help for the matter.

Alike the force blades, the infantry shields are a concept and idea on paper at the end of this year. It is a difficult process of developing something of this kind.

Whilst a good amount of the citizens of various race are registered as psionic, their strength level is impossible to find out or simply too miniscule. For state service itself, nobody appeared to volunteer at this point in time.

Little is happening this year, given the events taking place everywhere and the galactic tension being at an all-time peak. Whilst there is some minor tourism going on with the Confederation of Xaplonius, nothing above the ordinary levels of traffic happens.

The now Corrupter free Eastern regions of the Milky way appear to see a lot of activity as they stumble upon new colonies, owned by various Northern nations and the Empire of Chupan’Mo of the Sculptor cluster. It seems safe and free of pirate activity.

Republican Systems of Edonia

Project Furmis continues this year as the Accord again pools their resources.

As a very ambitious project of a newly designed and practical combat suit for the infantry, the design enters concept phases, it will be a long time until they have something substantial.

Combining the weapon systems proves to be more difficult than initially assumed. Step by step they are making progress, but they have no concluded the project yet.

The Edonians establish another colony this year as the Republic continues to expand along the southern edge of Human space.

United States Of Arcturus

The United State’s first Dreadnought, the U.S.S. Constitution, arrives in Arcturian space this year. It looms large over New Plymouth Rock, a beacon of hope that gives the Arcturian people a strong sense of security.

Both colony worlds receive a significant increase in home defenses as PSDI fortifications are installed. The colonists on those planets feel relieved that the defenses from the homeworld have finally arrived, and any unease about foreign occupation settles down - for now. The bunkers and THEIA serve to do much the same for the Arcturian people, instilling confidence in the strength of the regime. (Note: Remember your national bonus when you add this up.)

Two frigates and a corvette exit the Arcturian shipyard this year, joining the already large fleet of the Republic.

What a wild election it would be. (Skype)

HEPHAESTUS ENTERPRISES

Industreh!

The massive mobile superstore, the Affordable, enters production this year. The shipyard buzzes with activity as the Affordable is assembled with great haste. It’s accompanying supply ships are completed immediately afterward as well. Upon its completion, the Affordable enters service with great pomp and circumstance, ready to offer the entire galaxy incredible, affordable, and reliable products.

With the next series of upgrades complete, the Ares III enters full production and several private citizens from various markets feel compelled to make a purchase, though there appears to be an inquiry from the Redon Imperium for a contract. (Skype)

The Ka’Cezh freighter receives a new engine early in the year, entering service into the vast merchant fleet of the megacorporation.

The charming 17-year old Aleya Datrax (currently) and the 1-year old Sinchil Datrax (currently) do arrive at Hades to meet with their father-in-law (for Aleya), grandfather (for Sinchil) and new family. Kind, gentle and quite naive are probably some adjectives befitting the young mother. She appears quite excited about the potential wedding.

And he is witnessed twenty-six times on various worlds for the first half of the year, before vanishing again.

And they reach the world of new Siam, a stable community of traditional values has grown there. They are fond of meeting other humans after so many years, show respect to the representatives.

Kingdom of Armathwaite/Silver Knight Corporation

LSAA receives a loan this year.

Given the vast amount of resources poured into the wedding by the Kingdom of Armathwaite, the venue seems safe enough and security personnel are adequately prepared to respond to any immediate threats to the safety of both Prince Henry and the Redon Princess Ytre Redon. To just top off the already excellent security, a whole Redon warfleet, and a whole regiment of the Redon Imperial Guard are assigned to the Silver Knight’s command. It appears the Redon Yratak VI. wants to be absolutely sure this goes as planned. Red dar Imperiad.

The Armathwaite Trade Center expands this year, much to the delight of various Anglo-merchants. The three nations accept and beginning trading with Armathwaite.

Ironic. Despite the point system the influx of migrants is almost unchanged. The Redons that move into the Kingdom appear to have astounding curricula. In general, the educational level of all immigrants is very high, none of the nations of origin having issues with poverty and many have equal rights and chances.

Seelil herself does indeed show up. And that already, unasked, uninvited to the wedding. Given her elegant appearance and her display, she simply charms her way in.

Armathwaite’s navy enters a long series of fleet exercises this year, boosting the competency of their fleet. Given the nature of the Replicant threat, many believe these exercises to be of the utmost importance. The Backhatta decline to join these operations though as they need to keep their fleet at home to defend against their own incursions.

The invitation is accepted by all four nations.

The Trade Federation

The trade station in the East is finished as planned. It should help out, if more trade is to flow through there.

The TAROT system is at last operational. But it remains to be seen how effective it can truly be. MENDICANT continues its research process, picking up old strings and proceeding research. They have yet to show the first prototypes and usable systems.

Whilst the ships are finished as intended, the switch of the language is easy to do. For outsiders or migrants, they do not truly care as they already use it as the primary language of communication. The human populace is a bit uneasy, but it should not be a problem. It will take a while to switch completely, but nothing of it should be too troublesome.

--

A smaller version is quickly developed and readied up. MENDICANT on the other hand is not complete yet. It will take more time and resources to achieve what is planned.

Even with MENDICANT not wrapped up entirely, the project Ruthless Monkey rolls on and climbs on jungle trees.

Whilst the territorial scans show no results, they manage to fish out one or the other dubious freighter with some dangerous cargo. (+4 AP this turn)

The Redons see no reason for that, given the ships can freely pass through Redon territory in the first place. And they are already patrolling space in the vicinity, making it probably one of the more safer places.

For first the conflict does not appear to affect the trade at all. Diplomacy appears to play no particular role either at the moment. The conflict is fresh and the parties eager for battle. The details are apparently border disputes and old grievances for territories and resources once coveted by either side.

The white suited man when seen, happens to talk to one or the other person briefly, enjoying a drink at a bar, buying something in a store. Always friendly, not stressed, easy-going. Peculiar.

--

Later in the same year, the Replicants show up, causing havoc and destruction for the Trade Federation.

Andorra

Resources arrive to the G.E.N.S. to assist them in their efforts.

The S.S. Nina exits the Andorran shipyards this year, contributing to the growth of the humble Kingdom. A fine ship ready to take on any colonization projects to come.

The projects HIPS and ATM continue, reports showing some progress. (Skype)

The old man in his white suit is reported seen three times in August, but then never again. Oddly enough, some storage countings don’t add up and the balance sheets seem oddly off. There appear to be more resources around than expected. (8 bonus AP this year)

Despite finding rich asteroids of common metals and minerals, they are unable to find anything out of the ordinary in all the claimed territory.

Following the widespread outbreak of war to the North, no partnerships can be arranged this year. At least a couple of Cevelli scientists for Theoretical Mathematics and Quantum Physics show up to help out.

The colonists of New Siam appreciate the offer and do agree to enter a trade agreement, given capacity. With all the chaos they are being shown right away, any guidance might be helpful for them to persist in this world.

Imperial Provinces

The Replicants show up, destroy some fortifications and then quickly withdraw. Odd.

Project Furmis continues to receive funding.

The Imperial fleet increases substantially in size this year as a pair of light cruisers, a support carrier, and three destroyers join the Imperial fleet. The fleet looms large over Imperial space, and it is a relief given the nature of the close encounter with the Replicants.

The Imperial University of Medicine and Biology’s increase in funding and decision to focus on one single purpose serves to greatly improve the abilities of the school. More human experts flock to the university, and the study of the human body’s potential…

The Kingdom of Unified Systems

Violet noise continues, with more interesting progress shown this year. (Skype)

The Kingdom of Unified Systems prepares to expand this year as a colony ship steams out of the nation’s shipyard. The British people of the K.U.S., eager to live up to their British legacy, clamor for the chance to board and set out into the stars.

Thulean Republic

The Replicants leave a wake of destruction on the Thulean homeworld. But they persist.

The city of Phénicie acts as a point of pride for the Thulean people as it rises from the rubble of Espérance defiantly. Its sleek architecture and beautiful design make it one of the most elegant cities in all of the human colonies, attracting human and alien tourists alike to its streets.

The shipyard of the Thulean Republic expands significantly, benefitting from tremendous investments from the Trade Federation. A quantum anchor and TAROT outpost are constructed alongside of it, serving to bolster the confidence of many in the Thulean military brass.

Hearing of the destruction and following the further investments, Chupan’Mo sends aid. (+3 AP from friend of the Chupan'Mo now. Previously +2. 5 AP this turn as “humanitarian” aid)

And their delegations are welcomed on the colony of New Siam. (Skype, I suppose)

The Han Dominion

REDACTED remains REDACTED.

A massive Dreadnought is constructed in Beijing Stronghold this year, a sight to behold from the surface of Yuguo before it quickly departs to enter service into the United States navy. A large colony ship soon follows, though this one remains in orbit above the Han capital, ready to pursue new lands ripe for rice farming.

Shi Feng and his men set out to establish a new colony for the rebellious factions of the Han Dominion after commandeering the vessel successfully. The colony will serve as a loyal bastion for the self-proclaimed legitimate successor to the Han under the Dao Yi. Meanwhile, the establishment government on Yuguo attempts to maintain its legitimacy by declaring its newest territorially claims, most of which border Wairen space.

Upsizing is a bit of a challenge as you can not just make everything bigger. Intricate systems and fine workings are still needed. Clearly, this project will take more time.

Whatever they are plotting, it continues.

The first world they find is a world covered in oceans with a great amount of smaller islands and archipelagos, only one bigger landmass.

The stone-beings do send one or the other ambassador along, to witness what she has to offer. Learning more and building a stable relationship with them might be convenient.

Kyber Kore

The corporation expands operations in a nearby star system, establishing a new colony without much trouble. As this occurs, a massive university complex is established on the planet Viyter and prepares to start operations in 2148 after assembling a relatively competent staff.

The Maltese Principalities

Project Furmis receives funding from yet another member of the Accord this year.

Both projects appear to have reached an interesting turning point. (Skype)

Another Maltese colony ship leaves their shipyard this year, ready to set out to expand the far-reaching principalities once again.

Despite all efforts, nothing appears to change this year, no new partnerships and only a sharp note from the Redon Imperium to cease all propaganda against them is what comes from it.

G.E.N.S

To Infinity… and beyond! (Skype)

The Beta colony continues to expand, providing more room to grow for the scientific corps. While that occurs, three frigates leave the G.E.N.S shipyards to join their small fleet.

Solar Ascendancy

Close, but they could not finish it this year. A prototype halfway done, almost ready. But still in the workshop.

And it continues on. For a horizon is far and hard to reach.

For particular reasons it seems. More life in this world, wonderful enough isn’t it?

And who would have thought it would happen. (Skype)

Contact is readily established, any envoys and ambassadors welcomed by the colony of New Siam.

LSAA receives a heavy investment from the Solarins this year, a wealthy bunch that LSAA (Z3r05t4r: Must make them suffarrrr.)

Republic Star State of Kanata

Kanata’s shipyard receives significant amounts of investments this year, growing substantially into a tier five shipyard. It is ready to produce several ships of significant size now. Despite those capabilities, three measly corvettes roll out of the yard this year to… test it out, one might guess?

Asgard Republic

A wise decision indeed, the Asgardian Republic see’s its first Light Cruiser join the fleet. The largest ship in their navy to date, the Asgardian people breathe a collective sigh of relief upon its completion. In the meantime, construction continues on the Asgard trade station.

500 Hunter bots join the Asgarder military, ready to serve at their masters in battle.

Protocol 12 rolls on. Laser technology is a different topic, but they are working on it. (Skype)

----

Events

A widespread retreat of all Replicant forces to unknown territories. They seem nowhere to be found, the Saryn themselves being silent about the matter, the Redons shrug it off, calling it a warmup.

Unpredictable. A word for the news when it was just announced that the Darkul, Kalronians and Keerim have officially forged an alliance.

Unprecedented. A word for the report of the Ka’cezh losing six major battles against the Zaxx Empire. Tactics, equipment, morale, even luck? Who knows.

Unseen. As a fleet of 20,000 Darkul ships begin their assault on the old and mighty Ka’cezh Star Empire. As another fleet of 10,000 Darkul ships invade the Ymorian Unity Council.

Unabated. The onsetting attack of the Kalronians on the Ganvius to go on through the year. To reclaim and finish what was started.

Uneasy. The space between Keerim and LC domain. Fleets staring down at eachother. Ready for round two.

Following one speech a migration has started. It could have come differently, but who knows.

The Tassaran Republic announces its alliance with the Chupan’Mo, the Confederation of Xaplonius on tow. They are currently discussing a potential agreement with the Cevelli, according to rumors.

With the war breaking out in the West of the North, chaos spreading, trade takes a sharp turn to the East, soon to cause some people to lose influence and riches.

Caliph Nassef Erakat drummed the fingers of his right hand along his old wooden desk as he leaned back in his leathery chair. The old man sighed, looking at the clock above the elegant doorway to his office. He shook his head with a sigh, Late again.” He rose from his chair gently, the aging muscles in his back and knees ached from the stress of even minor movements now. Nassef bent as low as his back would allow as he opened a small cupboard, his quivering hands slowly retrieving a cigar from an elegant golden box. Smoking became a guilty pleasure of the Caliph’s during his time as a student in Northern Italy. His mind drifted as he settled back into his seat, smoking always brought him back to his youth.

He remembered the circumstances of his personal exodus vividly. Capitalizing on the divisions in the Islamic world as a result of a massive war between the Greater Kingdom of Arabia and Iran, Israel quickly swept through Palestine in 2078, brutally crushing any Islamic opposition in the region. The war left him, and thousands of other Palestinian families, flat broke and with no welcome home. Nassef’s mother and father refused to remain in the Jewish state and used what funds remained in their name to desperately sail across the Mediterranean to the island of Sicily. Upon arriving, the Erakat family kept their heads low as they struggled to learn the language. Because of his young age, Nassef quickly picked up the language and rapidly became the family’s chief translator, forcing him to become an adult at a very young age.

He remembered the ridicule he faced from the Sicilian children in school, how they picked on him for his religion and accent. He wanted nothing more than to go home… but he could never go home, for he was not welcome. He was an incredibly bright child, but school bored him and he barely scraped by with below-average grades. While in school, Nassef scraped together money through odd jobs, most of which involved rather suspect activity. The money that he acquired afforded him with enough savings to get a college education, escaping the impoverished island of Sicily in 2088 at the age of 18. From Sicily, Nassef travelled to Florence where he studied both economic and political theory at The Lorenzo de Medici School. Graduating near the top of his class, Nassef returned to Sicily eager to help lift his mother out of poverty now that he had a degree, but she died soon after his return. With nothing keeping him in Italy any longer, Nassef decided to move his Sicilian wife, Angela, and himself to Neom, the sprawling cultural center of the Islamic world along the Red Sea, in 2096. Not long after the announcement of the Arabian Ark, Nassef worked tirelessly to get himself and his wife on board. Using the entirety of his savings, Nassef successfully posed as a wealthy Syrian-Italian businessman who made his money in Artificial Intelligence. Through some miracle, Nassef and Angela Erakat made it onto the ark. Several years passed on Eadn as both Nassef and Angela worked their way up the social ladder, naturally bearing two children, Fahd and Salman, in 2112 and 2117 respectively. Fahd and Salman were among the few children illegally born naturally on the colony, the rest of which had been wiped out in the purges that Nassef himself imposed after the Calamity… and now one of them was late for a meeting with his father.

The door burst open as Fahd, the Crown Prince of the Caliphate, entered the smokey room. Caliph Erakat said nothing, his disappointment in his son clear as he took a long drag from the cigar. Fahd bowed respectfully, “
Fathe-”

Caliph,” Nassef corrected.

Fahd awkwardly rubbed his hand against his leg as he sat, “Caliph, my apologies for being late.. It’s just there’s so much going on in the palace and…

Spare me your excuses, Fahd...” Nassef sighed, looking over his son. Such a disappointment, Fahd. A feeble man of 35, Fahd spent much of his time partying and drinking with the elite of Eadni society. A known trouble-maker, Fahd found himself often at the mercy of his father. “...and listen carefully.

Na’am, my Caliph.” Fahd responded quickly, settling into his chair.

It’s come to my attention that you’ve met a girl, Fahd. That she’s rather beautiful, and that you’ve grown quite fond of her.” Nassef looked away from his eldest son, tapping out ashes from his cigar in an ornate ebony ashtray. “What’s her name?

Samira,” Fahd’s face shone as one’s does when they speak of anything they feel passionately about. “She’s so beautiful… and smart. She works as an engineer! Right now she’s helping the Navy draft their newest classification of ship…” Fahd smirks, clearly smitten.

She needs to die now.” Nassef stated this blankly, looking over his son for any sign of rebellion. Fahd only returned a gaze of pure shock and horror, his hand moving to his face as he scratched his beard. “You told her something about you that nobody, not even those you love, can ever know. You told her you’re not a clone, Fahd.

But… how do you..

I know my subjects, and you are one of those subjects, Fahd.” Nassef coughed after a particularly long drag on his cigar, tapping out more ash. “By disclosing this information, you put not only my reign but eventually yours at risk, Fahd.”

My Caliph, you cannot do this! I am in love with her and she wouldn’t tell a soul she…” Fahd’s voice trails as Nassef turns his computer screen toward Fahd, showing a live feed of Samira’s apartment. In an instant, the door to her small room barrels over as armed CSF agents burst into the room, quickly gunning her down before she even knew what was happening.

Nassef leaned forward, putting out his cigar in the ashtray. He looked at Fahd, “
Don’t make me have to clean up any more of your messes.

Salman Erakat peered out of the window of a diplomatic vessel into the vastness of God’s creation ahead of him. The ship quickly approached a massive gas giant, a view that new quite got old to the young Deputy Prime Minister. His eyes scanned the behemoth in an attempt to behold the beauty of it, but before he could adequately appreciate it, his ship zipped along past it, continuing on its predetermined course.

Entirely alone in the corvette, Salman spoke as he continued his stargazing. “
Aziza, how far are we?

About 30 more minutes until arrival, Mister Erakat.” The ship’s virtual assistant, Aziza, piped up from nowhere. Standard to every Caliphate vessel, the virtual assistant dutifully served its masters, though in truth, she was the master. On the glass in front of him, Aziza, without orders, magnified a pale blue dot far off into space, showing data gathered on the distant planet from previous scans as well as a detailed 3D image of the planet itself.

Thank you Aziza, would you mind playing my music for me?” Aziza did not respond, but nearly instantaneously music began to flow out of several speakers in the ship, filling Salman’s cabin with sounds from home. Salman smiled, turning away from the window and sitting down at a desk carved into the thick itoron walls of the otherwise rather empty quarters established for him. Travelling on a ship alone proved lonely, but he managed to pass the time through extensive study; an activity which he rather enjoyed.

At the desk were various accounts of the nation that he planned on visiting and details about its current state of affairs. Intelligence reports, readouts of their technological capabilities… everything he needed to know and more. He admired the great attention to detail that the C.S.F. had in such affairs, a meticulous nature that derived from their overseer - Salman’s father. The Caliph constantly reminded both Fahd and Salman of their duty to act only when they had the knowledge to do so, and hee stated rather bluntly after the Calamity that it largely occurred due to the Sultan’s own lapses in intelligence.

Such failures would not occur again as long as the Erakat family dominated Eadni politics.

Salman thumbed through the documents again, moving rather lazily through the pages until one page in particular caught his eye. A favorite from his first reading, the heading for this read Diplomatic Failures of The State. Salman smirked at that, setting aside the other pages as he held this one up for a second thorough read through. The document described, in detail, the various failures of this particular government and its successor rather bluntly. Salman contemplated making a copy to present to whomever might greet him upon landing, but decided not to do so as they might take this as a slight and sour the entire visit.

Instead he would keep the document to himself. A shame, he thought. This document would prove incredibly valuable to them, for it possessed the knowledge of their mistakes and the opportunity to recognize them to avoid them again. Salman resolved upon his return to the Caliphate to request such an inquiry be made on the government of the Sultan… and the Caliph.

Republican Systems of Edonia

(2148)

cAbPk57-XEW4J66luun2FfD1iBnWDNKdcXpkajGWgRHXHITUSJYlLkoNPgYbHyw6AxuWBMgsTM7ZVceqsc-rw9SM7i8PugmB8mwvAF-AZqAjzJr9Coe-dXvOaYoWfx9auIsNMjc7

General Activity:

The return of the replicant’s spooked the entire republic causing alerts to blare out across every planet. The formation of even more hostile alliances including the Edonian’s most hated species the Kalronians has set the people into motion. The Praeses and the senate after only twenty minutes of debate has decided to put the majority of funds into military development. The Praeses also elected to send ten thousand soldiers to their ‘big friends’ to the west to fight the Kalronians once more. The patriotic fervour felt throughout the nation reminded many of the first time the Edonian’s went off to war back during the initiative days. The soldiers that left felt only their sense of duty and the occasional anxiety of combat, their ancestors fought with essentially sticks and now they’re returning with actual weaponry. The fleet would not be sent to join the detachment opting to keep it in preparation for the eventual avian menace.

The Praeses also reviewed the clamour that was happening within the forty person senate, many of the warhawks had brought up the problem that the Edonian fleet while technologically ahead was still too small to actively protect the entire republic. Under the direct orders of the Praeses resources would be supplied to the shipyard to construct two more cruisers and the immediate recruitment of manpower for these vessels. They would be the first of many to come from the shipyard. The Army also requested more resources with the development of the PAX and Dragonsnake. The infantry sent over to the Ganvius would desperately need the gear as they will be fighting foes still slightly ahead technology wise. The people knew casualties were to be high due to this but nevertheless were prepared to support their troops in any way possible. It was only a matter of time before more manpower and materials were sent west to help against the blue spooks.

----------------------------------------------------------

Ross stepped off the dropship and looked around the spaceport, multiple Edonian vessels were landing unloading supplies and marines onto the large landing platform then leaving into space shortly after. A surreal feeling washed over him as he realized this was his first deployment away from home. Ross’s friend Michael stood across the pad working on unloading some crates filled with some armor. Taking the opportunity to meet up with him Ross walked over to his friend helping him with a crate that he struggled to hold. “Need a hand there?” he said grabbing onto the box bringing it down and giving each other essentially a bro-hug. “This shithole looks like a great place to die.” Michael said causing Ross to smirk. “Better than doing drills in the middle of god knows where back on Feldspar.” he’d remark unbuckling his Itoron-carbon helmet. “The sergeant wants us to meet up at the barracks at 1200, we’re receiving a briefing on our enemy.” Behind the two conversing men landed a very large dropship filled with the remainder of the division.

The two men arrived at the barracks and made their way inside to find all the bunks and lockers moved aside. Replacing them was enough folding chairs for the entire platoon and a projector emanating from the ceiling onto the wall at the end. “Let’s take our seats before the sergeant tears our asses off Michael.” Ross said as he took his seat in the back, surprisingly the view was good. His CO soon arrived walking in front of the men speaking to them with an authoritative but anxious tone. “Alright gentlemen we’ve arrived right on time, I hope your ride was as smooth as mine was.” The CO took a step out of the projectors view to and drew his hand up to it for their attention. “We’re here to defend this colony against the Kalronian aggression coming across the border, Ganvian high command expects a fleet to arrive in system any day now. They’ve instructed us to construct tunnels deep underground to withstand orbital bombardment and enough fallback plans incase the Kalronians land and take ground quicker than anticipated. On that note I’ll begin the briefing on what we’re up against in terms of ground combat.” The CO would nod to one of the soldiers who clicked a button on the switcher bringing the screen to a picture of a Kalronian.

“This right here boy’s is one of the toughest foes we will face on the battlefield, the common soldier. They utilize gear that not even our best scientist could learn let alone reverse engineer. Good news is that they are not invincible and it’s been noted that even the old ballistics were capable of eventually taking them out after half the magazine went into them. Our new rifles ranging from the S.L.A.M and Ascendancy disruptor rifles should make it a guaranteed one shot kill. Our itoron-carbon armor graciously donated to us by the Ascendancy as well should keep you boys from being instantly wiped by these blue balls.” The CO’s nickname caused a few chuckles and smirks but mostly the room remained quiet as the young soldiers observed their foe clad in armor that looked way ahead of theirs. “The weaponry these foes will be using will mostly be phasic weaponry, this tech extremely broadens the gap between us. Needless to say, avoid being shot because regardless of the armor it will hurt a great deal. We do not have any information of any mechanized or armored units but do expect them, if you do spot them immediately call them out. Our SLAM’s should provide enough power to break through their hull and in a lack of better words **** them up. Any questions?” The room remained silent as earlier, Ross could feel the optimism in the room. “Dismissed, report to your sergeants on your orders.” Ross stood and looked at Michael and as if they could read each other's minds they chuckled.

“We’ve seen worse!”

The Sanctus Regnum Melitae

Anno Domini MMCXLVIII

Francis Joseph II leaned back into the white leather of the throne, tapping his foot to the beat of the music blaring out of the ship's speakers. The O.M.N. Gran Italia, flagship of the Maltese Navy, hovered a few miles above the hastily-constructed stronghold that overlooked the colony of New Tuscany, just outside of range.

"Why do I have to be here for this, again?"

The bridge of the Gran Italia sat halfway inside the ship, hidden under layers of plating, though the screens that covered the walls of the large, semicircular room gave just as good an image of the surrounding space. There were no enemy ships, and just a few AA emplacements on the fort below. It was obviously overkill, especially for him to personally show. Nobody answered him.

"Transmission from Krak des Tuscana, sire."

"Patch it through."

On the center of the giant screens on the wall, the haggard appearance of Cardinal Prince Tomas Koch appeared. His golden eyes, bright blonde hair, and pale skin showed his modification by the Han, or that he descended from one modified. The populace sometimes thought they were blessed for it.

"Tomas, what are you doing?"

"Defending the Maltese from your corruption, Franz. You're going to destroy us."

"I'm going to build us an empire."

"How many will have to die for it?"

Compared to the near-radiant looks of Tomas, Francis had a distinctly human look to him. His eyes were a startlingly bright blue-gray, and his hair a light brown color, but his looks were just about average. There was a long pause before Francis spoke again.

"You won't be able to stop me, old friend."

The last sentence was spoken with a tinge of sadness - the two had entered the Rhodium Military Academy together, though with the first year of the exchange program Franz had been sent to the Protorian Council to learn tactics, strategy and governance. That was only two years ago, yet everyone who knew him said he seemed more...distant, after.

"...I know."

Tomas was the son of one of the most influential leaders of the Principalities, Prince Kevin Koch. His father had been given the Caesaria system by John, and died with him too.

"Then this is goodbye, Tomas."

"I wish you luck, Franz. May God save us all."

Dozens of xylorite torpedoes were launched off the Gran Italia. Minutes later, the stronghold had ceased to exist.

---

"Welcome back to Quantum Five News. I'm Mark Simms, and this is 60 Minutes with Mark Simms. First, today marks the end of a rebellion almost a year after its beginning, with the royalist forces destroying the cardinal's last stronghold. Then, war breaks out across the galaxy. Later, we've got a special on the humble beginnings of the Xoballius Jell-O trade."

---

With no more claimants to the leadership of Malta, and dissenters all but wiped out, Malta begins to begin on new projects and work. Propaganda against the Redon, though it was minor and with a minimal amount of effort, is stopped.

Coalition of Humanity

2BVg7dbqfU18gUHhrMmFwAjJQcGhULvI6Zb-xvsdkV9qZmIDkSXxCrb4rERvgUEKBC54VO00VlkcKwM6LF0yF2HxJLKMfVETvAk7upA1f3T949sii12OEw5_2xiMFrGjCYba2-GN

The formation of our coalition is not to do harm to the peaceful denizens of the milky way, but to help defend them. The axis of evil presented before the many honorable nations of our galaxy cannot be ignored: they are simply too large, and too filled with hostile intent. The Kalronians in the west seek to purge all unworthy life from the galaxy. In the east, the Keerim seek to put everyone under the rule of their treacherous emperor, and to our north lie the Darkul, a race filled with vengeance and thirst for territory. Due to these evils presented to our many nations, the entirety of humanity has joined arms in an effort to put a stop to their hostility and pacify or remove them from the galaxy. Congregating in the Han Dominion, leaders from every federation arrived to discuss the goals for the future and who our allies will be in this conflict.

The Kalronians have been deemed too fanatical to ignore, posing a threat to all organisms of the milky way. The Keerim have proven time again they have no regard for life of any kind, fighting without honor in the service of their emperor. The Darkul, while seemingly peaceful at first have taken a turn to conquerors. It is deemed in humanities best interest to ally ourselves with every nation currently wishing to protect themselves and fight against the tyranny and genocidal views of this evil alliance.

In order to win back peace, and to ensure our continuing strength and survival, this coalition hereby resolves to turn back the rising tide of tyranny. Our forces stand united, and each of us is prepared for whatever the cause demands. On each major front, may all who stand with us, stand by our commanders:

Supreme Commander of the Western Front - Admiral Leon Bellson, Star Republic of Edonia

Supreme Commander of the Northern Front - Admiral James McGraw, Kingdom of Armathwaite

Supreme Commander of the Eastern Front - Admiral Huang Jie, Han Dominion

Dedicated to safety and peace in our time, we give vow together with our signatures below:

The Interstellar Accord

The Dominion of Man

The Free Economic Zone

The Convention of Civilized Systems
