“This is merely the beginning.”

-Grand Marshal Oyvind Frostbeard to the Dwarven Legion after the engagement at the Krag, 2nd of the Grand Harvest, 1610

The Krag had been battered, holes masking the walls like a block of cheese. After days of rune cannon volleys, a toll had been taken on its towering stone walls. Bridge ballistas had been spent, and boulders hurled by trebuchets. The dwarven forces focused their vision to the last point of entry, a small rope bridge leading directly into the Krag. Barely wide enough for two dwed to walk abreast, it was their last option. As Grand Marshal Oyvind Frostbeard opened his mouth to bellow the order that would put an end to the conflict, the bridge was lit to flames. The troop of dwarven, Teutonic, and orcish soldiers stopped in their tracks, in awe of the burning bridge.

Oyvind shifted his eyes from the fort to his army standing amongst him. With the bridge gone, came the ignition of an idea. “Back to the camp! The Norlanders have shut themselves in!” The combined forces withdrew from the base of the burnt bridge, the gates of the siege camp left open. “Come lads! If they shut themselves in we will follow suit, for a time.”

Following the closing of the gate to the camp, the army dispersed into their respective tents. Removing their armor and fitting themselves with fresh garb. The flap to the command tent opened as Oyvind shoved his way through, his hand resting on the hilt of his axe. The discussion throughout the command ceased as Oyvind forced his plated hand onto the table. “This is not what we expected, but we don’t always get what we expect. This is a blessing from Dungrimm himself lads, a blessing in disguise.” A murmur rose through the tent. “What do you mean Oyvind?” rose the voice of a fellow dwed. “They have shut themselves in, no way to enter and no way to leave. I mean to keep it this way until we force our way in.” Oyvind shifted his gaze to Rodin, Jarl of Yolwin “Send a messenger to the fleet, it’s time.”

Cheers rose from the camp as a dwarven outrider returned with news. The Black Bastion had arrived. With no bridge, and the dwarven flagship forming a blockade to the south of the Krag...

Norland was shut in.

Alrighty, so  this will be going ahead on the proposed date, Saturday the 13th of May, at 3PM EST/8PM GMT. I've spoken with the leaders about siege equipment, defenses, yada yada, but the main thing to note as of now is;

Whichever side holds the Krag after three hours will be the winner.
