Steelhearts

“The Moon guides us.”

Description:

Steelhearts claim that they are the sons and daughters of the Brathmordakin Dungrimm. The majority of the Steelhearts are orphans and survivors of past wars. As a Steelheart one is meant to embrace death and not fear it as it means a return to Dungrimm. When a Steelheart dies a feast tends to be made in their honor, in their culture mourning is a weakness that represents the lack of faith in Dungrimm. The Bloodlord of this bloodline is Kerwyr II adoptive son of Baldin Frostbeard. Because of their abstract origin Steelhearts do not have particular physical characteristics. Steelhearts tend to raid towns and villages enslaving non-dwarves and adopting children to expand the Steelheart lineage.

Kerwyr II Silvervein Steelheart

Orphaned during the war for the Frostbeard’s independence Kerwyr was adopted by Baldin Frostbeard (at the time). Kerwyr’s hate for both Urguan and his adoptive father would start to appear when the Kingdom failed to recognice Baldin’s contribution to the end of the war. At this point Kerwyr went into self exiled and refused all links to Baldin. During his exile he would start adopting and recruiting war orphans creating his own family all linked by their true father; Dungrimm.

Notable actions:

Capture of Throri Stonemace

The Steelhearts were the main achievers in tricking and then capturing Throri Stonemace. Despite Throri being able to survive his captivity by the hands of the Silvervein Clan, the Steelhearts showed themselves to be; Practical, effective, and persuasive.

Murder of Baldin “Ironside” Grandaxe

The Steelhearts were the sole people involved in tracking down and killing the former Stewart of Kal’Omith and Jornheim. When finally cornered the dooer of the deed was Baldin’s own adopted son and now Bloodlord of the Steelhearts; Kerwyr II Silvervein .

Silvervein Clan

As members of the Silvervein Clan the Steelhearts are vowed to obey the clan’s hierarchy and to seek the clan’s wellbeing.

Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah

The Silvervein Clan is loyal to the independent kingdom of Kaz’Ulrah, because of this the Steelhearts are also expected to protect the future and stability of the Kingdom and its people.

Kingdom of Urguan

Despite the grudge the Bloodlord Kerwyr II has with Urguan, the Blood line itself has a different reason to despise the Kingdom. In the eyes of the Steelhearts Urguan has been slowly corroding the will of Dungrimm inside the hearts of the dwarves. At this point a Steelheart would not hesitate to destroy the Kingdom of Urguan and all those that reside in its lands, as to them the gift of death is the only thing that can save them from more dishonor.
