I always imagined them as gold coins with a dragon stamped on them, probably because gold drakes sounds cooler then minas

mina defo used to be emeralds and have a paper currency as well

 

so maybe like a small emerald-colored coin, and there's bank slips for the bigger ones

Personally, I've been RPing it as a gold coin. On one side, a crown. The other, cattle.

I mostly see it as a gold coin with a crown with an M on top on on one side, and the faces of the four races on the other side.

Maybe they're just gold coins of a certain gold weight and can have whatever printed on them?
