The van Ruyter Trading and Shipping Co. was formed in 1631 by the Lord Renouyt van Ruyter. Seeking to profit from the growing economy, Renouyt employed the economic tactic of his ancestors to secure a conglomerate of merchants and laborers so as to create a single working entity. The Company’s goal is to serve their clients, which are primarily shop-owners and artisans, through paying their expenses such as purchasing shops, scouting locations, and supplying supplies. For such service, they receive a set amount of the client’s income.

Important to note, that the VRTS Co. also takes on aspiring merchants, shop-owners, and entrepreneurs! The same contract of an established Merchant applies to that of a hopeful one. See below. 

 

Mercantile Contract:

The van Ruyter Trading and Shipping Co. does agree to:

+ Provide cheap raw materials to merchants and shop-owners.

+ Provide legal protection to merchants and shop-owners.

+ Fund purchases of mercantile property by merchants and shop-owners.   

+ Pay for tariffs and handle negotiations with stewarding entities. 

 

The Merchant in Question does agree to:

+ Provide 15% of its profit to VRTSP CO. 

+ Work beneath the license of the VRTSP CO.

+ Engage in contract negotiations when prompted by the VRTSP CO. 

The Warehouse, Adelburg Location

To visit the Warehouse, one must simply go from the Tahn docks to the jewel of humanity: Adelburg. The location has two main shop fronts and a side-stall, each available for rent. The bottom two floors are for storage and laborers to produce goods. The two shop-fronts are for rent, as is the side-stall. Furthermore, skilled artisans are able to sign on under the company and produce their goods within the confines of the warehouse to be distributed to their own shops or to shop-owners.
