The group consisted of a small party of four men who hunted within what was left of the elder woods of the realm. Their particular game to hunt was wolves and wild canines who wandered aimlessly within the bramble with their packs. The group was used to living off the land, expert trackers and bowmen led these beings to be considered master huntsmen by their peers. As they sought off on a hunting expedition only set to be a few days in length, they entered the thicket with high hopes of returning home with a bundle of pelts from their hunting endeavor. Yet, about a day after their delve into the woodlands the group soon became lost. They wandered for days, the brush too thick for them to see upwards and use the stars as a navigation system homewards. So, being the resourceful individuals the men were, they followed the moss on the northern side of the trees. Oddly, the woods seemed quiet and barren although the sounds of its inhabitants were ever present just beyond the thick thistle that made up the treeline. The group pressed forwards, only to find themselves in the exact spot where they began to follow the moss. Confused, the group began to panic and they set forth deeper into the elder woods. ~.~ As the group continued on, they came across a small cave and decided to make camp right outside of the cavern. As nightfall began the flame that danced over the hearth of the campfire illuminated the surrounding area. The huntsmen could hear the movement of the forest creatures walking upon the leaves and brush that littered the ground. All of a sudden, there was a loud and unnatural howl from right inside of the entrance of the cave. The group turned to investigate the sound and as they abruptly turned to face the cavern, a massive wolf stood watching them with it’s ears perked upwards. A pack of smaller canines would emerge from behind him. The Wolf would look over the group before offering another loud howl, and as he did so the huntsmen began to contort and writhe, their noses elongated into snouts and fingernails into long sharp claws. The feet of the poachers grew long and their bodies sprouted long and matted hair all over. The teeth of the four sharpened and protruded forth from their gums into long canine fangs. The hunters quickly became overwhelmed at the increase in smell, as thousands of smells became enhanced and caused great strain to settle upon the creatures. Their eyes glowed a bright gold as the pupils in their iris’ widened, allowing their vision to become more keen and sharp. ~.~ After their transformation, the large wolf revealed its ethereal form to be the Mani, Morea Demigod of the Wild and Prince of the Wolves and Hounds. The mani bestowed an affliction upon the huntsmen as punishment for their actions against the wolves of the forest. Their time of poaching and killing for sport had come to an end deep within the bramble of the woods. Morea tasked the creatures with protecting the woodlands and enabled these beings the ability to return to their descendant guise when needed. However, they had become part of the pack and protected, hunted, and slept among their new kin. As time dawned onwards the Ferals began to hunt outside of the small clearing where the cavern was located, killing poachers and lumberjacks who sought to destroy the homes of the pack to which the huntsmen now belonged. The descendants who lived outside of the city gave the four poachers the name Ferals, due to their lupine state of being and thirst for blood. The ferals sought to create more of their kin, the blessing given to them by Morea had made an imprint on their soul and physical bodies. Morea bestowed the gift to be spread from his pack and the four Ferals onto others to serve him and his creatures whom resided in the thicket. The Ferals used their own blood to pass on the affliction, those who sought to enter the pack must prove themselves worthy then drink of the blood of a feral willing to pass on the affliction and must have the approval and blessing of the Alpha Feral in order to gain the affliction. The blood would act as both a pact and a promise to one another and should it be broken the gift would be removed from the creature and they would face an exile from the ranks of the Ferals. ~.~ Soon, many began to hunt down the Ferals out of fear that they may begin to kill the descendants for sport, much like they did before with the wolves. This forced the pack to go into hiding deeper within the woodlands. They remained in the forest, hunting and slaughtering any whom sought to bring harm to their pack, until one day they suddenly ceased, and decided it best to veer far away from the influence of man. So, the creatures went into secluded exile, still protecting the bramble from those who sought to destroy it to erect settlements and use the brush for timber and lumber and poach those animals that resided within. The Ferals then remained a secret of the woods and eventually became nothing but old wise tales that until this day, parents tell their children to prevent them from wandering to far into the thicket. However, it is believed by some that these creatures still remain but hide in plain sight and disappear when their affliction is needed. “The view was beautiful. The mountains could be seen touching the clouds from the mouth of the cavern. It was home.” - A record of the first time seeing the cavern from the journal of one of the poachers.- ~ The Feral ~ The lupine creatures that came to be known as Ferals exhibit regular qualities when in their normal descendant guise, yet certain traits of their affliction carry over on both sides of their form. Ferals in their descendant guise are often identified by their sharp and elongated lower canine teeth and faint golden sclera. Often these descendants go unnoticed but if one is familiar with the qualities of a Feral then a descendant in their non-feral form can be pinpointed out as carrying the affliction. Due to their elongated snouts whilst transformed, the Feral have a keen sense of smell able to sniff out blood and creatures from a considerable distance away. (30 Blocks.) The Feral also have a keen sense of eyesight at all times, allowing them to see small minute details and movements. Yet this form does come at a price. The smell of blood often will cause a Feral to transform and allow their primitive instincts to take over. This often puts the Feral in grave danger as they’re easily triggered to make a transformation and are vulnerable whilst doing so. While transforming, the feral can not attack or maneuver to attempt to escape a strike or blow in their vulnerable state. ~.~ A feral grows considerably in size after their transformation. About one foot taller than when in their descendant form. Their strength is enhanced to that of a large wolf yet their speed is compared to that of a deer. Agile and quick, able to traverse most landscapes with ease whether it be snow or soil, the feral’s paws act as large pads that propel them forwards in assistance with their long legs. Their claws are very sharp but are at risk of breaking when striking numerous times against armor that is metal. A common misconception is that the Feral are always primal and animalistic. When a Feral has fed or is not on the hunt for a meal, they’re known to be quite docile creatures if not threatened. A feral will tend to look very much like they do when not transformed. If an individual has light blonde hair, then their feral in turn will have light blonde hair. Scars and blemished carry over so a small cut when in feral form will appear as a large gash in descendant form. Ferals have an inherent weakness to silver, it appears as an extremely bright and painful substance to the creature and cuts through the toughened skin of the creature like warm butter. Ferals also are not the most intelligent beings, they can be easily tricked by scent misdirection or misdirection in general if the scent of the assailant is masked. ~.~ The Purpose of the Feral The purpose of the Feral is to serve the Mani Morea and protect the natural balance and cycle in a more combative way. The Druii are meant to keep the balance as instructed by the Aspects, yet the Ferals were given the task to protect the balance and natural cycle in a vicious and 'feral' manner unwavering in their duties to the balance. They are tasked to destroy and slaughter any that seek to ruin the balance for personal or detrimental gain. They are meant to be guardians of the Mani and the creatures of the woodlands whilst upholding the principles of Cernunnos as beasts of the hunt. It is rumored that Nemiisae is jealous of the creatures but that is myth among those that follow the Aspects. ~ Weaknesses ~ The Feral are weakened by many different objects and things. Many of the common ones include: Silver : A material that maims both the soul and the physical body of the Feral. It appears as an extremely bright glowing object to a Feral and causes them not to wish for anything to do with it. It also causes the tainted blood of the Feral to sizzle and boil when it makes contact with the corrupt substance. High Pitched Sounds : A feral has a very high sense of hearing, much like their canine counterparts. However, should a high pitched sound be emitted then it could potentially sedate or cause the creature to pass out from the auditory stress of the volume that would cause immense pressure on the Feral’s head causing it to become distraught or even unconscious. Fire : Flame is also anyones worst enemy, yet even more so for a Feral. Their increased sense of keen eyesight allows flame to blind the Feral temporarily when put close to the ocular area of the Ferals. The contrast of light on the golden sclera of the eyeball allows the reflection to cause the eyelids to glaze over with a thick coat of slime from the eyelids in order to protect the creature from losing its sight, thus temporarily blinding the creature. Also the dry and matted hair of the Feral is easily set alight by the tiniest lick of flame due to the dry properties of its coat. Bright Flashes : At night, the sudden burst of an electrical evolutionist's magic could cause the Feral to become blinded for a few minutes (3 emotes). Due to the fact that the Feral must readjust to the dark setting it is in and it’s eyes are meant for slow changes in light, not fast thus their weakness to flame and silver. Commune and Control : Oddly enough a Druid is able to commune with the primal beast that is a Feral and can entice the creature into a meditative state depending on the Feral’s mental strain and appetite. Through commune, the Druid can sooth the creature back into its descendant from to prevent any further destruction from happening to the creature of those near it. Can not use Weapons : A Feral is unable to wield any type of weapon due to the sheer size of its hands and its inability to use its muscles like a descendant can when using a sword or axe. Their paws are simply too large and claws too long for the creature to successfully use any type of weapon effectively. Inability to wield Magic : While in their transformed state, a Feral is unable to use magic due to their brain being reversed to a more primitive level. Although they can recognize scents and faces, the ability to use their magic wether it be Druidic, Dark, or Arcane. The Creature is not able to tap into their mana pool or concentrate enough to wield magic. Transformation : During a transformation into or out of their lupine bodies, a Feral enters a state of immobility and is unable to defend itself while its body grows and features become more canine. This leaves the creature vulnerable to any strike during their (4 full emote) transformation. Exhaustion : After their form is reverted, the feral in question will become extremely fatigued and weakened. They become unable to transform for the rest of that day. Weakness to Gold : Due to the alteration of the soul and the affliction of the burden on the soul blueprint, gold is extremely painful to the creature when it is used on the Feral much like that of other corrupt creatures. Weak to Holy Magics : The affliction of the Ferals make their soul inherently corrupt by nature, in turn Deific magics such as the Ascended Arts, Clerical Arts, and Xannic Arts can cause the same effect on the feral as it would to a ghoul or other creature with a corrupt soul. Feeding : A feral whom has not consumed flesh or blood in an extended period of time is subject to sudden and abrupt transformations. Their traits become more prominent when in their descendant guise. Lack of feasting causes irritations, rashes, joint pain, and mental strain on the creature. ~.~ ~ Abilities ~ The Feral have selective abilities which include: Strength : The Feral exhibits the strength of a large wolf, muscle structure and tendons become elongated and strengthened to allow clawing and brutal thrashing to occur. Their tensile jaw strength is able to snap a bone should they latch onto an unpadded or unarmored piece of flesh. However, their teeth are unable to bite through any sort of metal but can create dents to latch onto the material. Their claws are able to cause deep cuts but are unable to break through metal or plate. Agility : Very akin to their canine companions, the speed of a Feral is often compared to a deer or hound. Their padded feet allow for them to easily traverse over any sort of landscape. Their hind legs become jointed which allows their movement to be similar to a horse when on all fours. Smell : A feral can smell blood or scents from a great distance away. (20 Blocks). Due to their large snouts, a Feral is able to assimilate a scent with a substance or creature which allows their hunting capabilities to be keen and mind ready for whatever prey they’re seeking to hunt. Vision : Due to the ocular growth of the Feral, their pupils grow much larger, allowing them to take in more light and perceive the world in a more clear way. They’re able to see minute movements and sometimes even heartbeats if it is rapid enough. ~ Redlines ~ A Feral can not attack or defend itself during a transformation. The ritual of consuming the blood of a Feral must be performed by a Feral willing to transfer the blessing with approval of the Alpha Feral. Ferals can speak whilst transformed but not like a regular descendant. Ferals can not hold or use weapons or magic when transformed. A Feral is only a trace of the person they are when not in a Feral state. This is Magic/Creature Lore for those who have come to me asking about the sect of Lore this is in. A [MA] is needed to play one and creator approval is as well. Credit: Delmodan | LeoWarrior

The only thing I had issue with was the above quote. You say bright glowing object, can the be seen through clothing? Also it'd be pretty easy for people to power game its abilities. Other than those concerns everything else seems reasonable.

I'd say that it would not be able to be seen through clothing that's thick like a robe or leather vestments, however if a light shirt or untucked shirt may give away the location of the silver depending on how the roleplay goes, perhaps glints or gleams could be seen around a loose form of clothing where the silver is located. Really all depends on how the silver is hidden. 6 minutes ago, Wendigo said: I like the lore, it's been much improved upon compared to other attempts or counterparts. I'm glad you like it!
