~Purpose~

The order is based around the collection of knowledge and distributing them to the populace via story telling. Imagine a bards guild of sorts.

~Lore~

"Prodayo Farwalker, was the name of the first Chronicler. In his past he made a promise sealed with death, and now he walks the roads to fulfill that promise made many years ago. He was, and currently still is, The Chronicler. The person the promise was made to does not matter here, but the extent of that promise still does. "Go see the roads. go see the far away cities you had dreamed of seeing." Prodayo had made a promise hearing those words, that till the day he could walk no more, he would do just that. 

 

"With the promise to see the roads, he set out wandering over Axios. He saw a great many things and met a great many people from different walks of life. He saw great deeds done by valorous people, the caring of generous people, and noble deeds by heroic figures. But he also saw unbridled hate, spontaneous violence, and wanton greed plaguing the land. With this, he changed his mission. No longer would his travels be to fulfill a long past promise, his travels would be to gather stories, to try and educate people of far off lands and traditions. His goal became to plant the seeds to culminate a want to explore, to experience new sights. His end goal is now to tell stories, as The Chronicler. 

 

"The path Prodayo took to becoming The Chronicler is fraught with sorrow and despair.  But his stories are not of him or such, and nor shall any other chroniclers be. And furthering that, this story has already been far too much about me, you know enough now to understand the basics of this order."

~Rules~

~Ideals~

To be a Chronicler is more than to just gather stories, it is to follow an Ideal, a common way of being.

 

-- You represent the Chroniclers as a whole, so be respectful and kind to those you meet, regardless of their way of treating you

-- Refrain from such activities that will tie you down, a Chronicler lives their life on the road, any activities that tie you to a location is frowned upon. This includes relationships.
-- If you ever happen upon a fight know that we are Chroniclers, but we do not sit and idly watch the deaths of innocents. you are expected to intervene in order to save innocent blood from being spilled
-- Do not be crude, you are expected to keep yourself clean of any filth outside and inside. This includes drink and any habit done in excess. A drink here and there is acceptable, but note that being drunk mulls the mind.
-- Stay physically fit, it is hard to travel when the body is poorly taken care of
-- Be respectful to one another, we are all brothers and sisters

-- You are your word, stay true to it

lastly, know that this is basically a cult and characters with Chronicler status are expected to play the part

 

General:

I am sure that if you have gotten this far you are either pondering joining or just bored. on the latter, this order does not require a fresh character to join, simply a reason that would drive them to join and follow the ideals and rules.

Sounds like a great order! I may contact you sometime, one of my characters would be pretty down for this. It really expands upon traveling bard/storyteller rp and puts those who like that style of rp into contact with one another. +1!
