Introduction 

Lampyanthrophus are known as light-producing people, able to glow by themselves passively from their luminescent organs. However, all of them tend to be considered as  a “psychopath” ,  unable to control their emotions or preserving their emotional autonomy. Their emotional and psychological trauma were caused by a one time events such as loosing something/someone dearest to them in which cause them to suffer a permanent mood disorders.

 

 

Sometimes they are sad , other times they are happy. They might even be sad and happy in the same time frame . But sometimes their mood can get “ stuck “. Or their moods might change a lot or become extreme.  

 

Origins 

 

Some say that our body is like a shell, meant to protect our soul , preventing it from being expose, responsible for being a mask that shadows our emotions. However, a pain lurks to crack open this shell,  expose us to the deepest and truest parts of our being. This “creature” released, is what has created the Lampyanthrophus. As this being said, these beings have suffered this pain severely , being unable to hide themselves under the shelter we all know , the shell. Like all seashells , this shell has a story of its own to tell.

 

 

Behavior towards themselves / society & their roles 

 

Lampyanthrophus hardly ask for help as they would think it’s rather pointless nor hopeless to be helped even if their weak to do so. They could somehow be jealous at a particular thing and might even start  stalking them. When things have gone to the worst on them , they would abuse themselves as ways of anaesthetising their feelings , dampening their anxiety , or drowning their sorrows...

 

Lampyanthrophus are suffering  from severe fear , anxiety , or depressions. Experiencing terrifying memories , nightmares and flashbacks. Which leads them to avoid more things thing that remind them of the trauma and even become emotionally numb and disconnected from others closest to them ( temporarily )..

 

Lampyanthrophus carry a positive facial expressions when their in a health mental state , able to be super supportive yet productive towards to the people close to them, optimistic in the point where they look at the brightest things even if darkness have taken over ,caring in which if they were soul bounded. But, things go differently when they are in a poor mental state , they would even start to harm the others or worst, killing them as if they were stuck in their misery again , trying to save themselves from it.

 

 

Habitat 
Lampyanthrophus can be found in places like villages , crowd-free streets and encampment . They tend to have that area as their own personal space , being very "defensive" against invaders . When they are spotted by an intruder, they would quickly hide themselves as if they are being haunted , fearing that those misfortunes which they had went through might happen on them again. Some would comfort the traumatised ,whom feared and took shelter, while other try to work together to scare these invaders away. The male Lampyanthrophus are the most common to scare the invader , for they have the most aggressiveness. Due to their misfortune , some would live alone,  individually, being lost.

However , some will unite with not only their own kind, but also people that are close to them to form a group, having their own personal quest to achieve  !

 

 

 

 

 

Appearence / Biology 

Lampyanthrophus stand at around 5’4- 6 feet tall wether if they are male or female. They tend carry a weak physical outlooks , not so buffy kind nor skinny. Their face still remains as their previous ones. The way how they dress themselves are very simple , often those broken-stitched up clothes. They are not really into fashion kinds.. 
 Lampyanthrophus are being look after by their dearest ones, giving a loving energy to them who has been suffering critically from their lost , bringing a measure of comfort to them to continue living and accept their faith. A bind between a living and a departed soul.

Their brain  will start producing special kinds of biochemicals to their body. Hence, their hair colour will slowly fade and turn to gold-white. Being a Lampyanthrophus means that they are able to produce a chemical reaction inside their bodies which allows them to glow . Light is produced when oxygen they breath in combines with calcium, ATP and the chemical luciferin in the presence of luciferase, creating a “light-producing”enzyme in their organs, including skins without a lot of energy being lost as heat. However ,their emotion can effect the amount of light they emit , wether if its related to object properties , future appraisal, event-related, self-appraisal , social or cathected. Positive emotions emits more light than negative emotion. This is due to the amount of nitric oxide they produced as it’s a gas that plays a critical role on radiating the amount of light. When they are experiencing under a negative emotion, less nitric oxide is being produced, which leads to this situation where oxygen that they breath in enters the light organ are now bound to the surface of the cell's energy-producing organelles, and is thereby not available for transport further within the organ. The presence of nitric oxide, which binds to the cell's energy-producing organelles, allows oxygen to flow into the organ where it combines with the other chemicals needed to produce the reaction. Due to the breaking down of nitric oxide is extremely fast, whenever the chemical produces lesser in amount , the oxygen molecules are trapped by the cell's energy-producing organelles and leads to lesser production of light. 
They are also able to produce defensive steroids in their bodies which helps in regenerating in a faster phase or limbs. The amount of these steroids they produced are also based on their emotions, greatly when they are under domination- emotions. Beside then that, it also helps on maintainng their age outlooks, as they will only go through infancy, early childhood , middle childhood and adolescence. This is why they will still look like 18 -20 years old even they have lived for like 80 years due to the “keep on going” replacement of cells.

At some point , they would start to grow horns on their head
Their eyes are able to reveal their emotional state. In fact , it provide lots of information about it and can easily be read by other people when gazing into their eyes. Their eye’ lens are however based on their character , the way how they act towards people. Like an example , having  tigers’ lens shows that they are brave, fierce , daring and aggresive .

 

 

 

Diets 

Lampyanthrophus diet mostly on any kind of meat , including flesh. Eating others will taste awful for them. They get hungry very often, depend on how much they regenerated from wounds , limbs or passively from cell replacements. They are able to withstand hunger for a week and have an appetite of eating a whole cow by themselves ( individual ). Due to these , they would in fact lead a raid inside a city, stealing animals or foods from the citizen.
 
 Fleshes are important for them to consume. It helps them on procreating more stable defensive steroids’ base which can last longer for aid.

 

Meats just help them to fill up their hungry tummy c;

 

 

Capabilities 

 

Lampyanthrophus can gain trust easily from their own kind, whom like themselves are lost. As they had went through the same pain as before. Because of this, they form a strong bond together.In order to maintain a healthy mental state, they share their experiences and negative emotions they encountered with others of their kind.

Lampyantrophus have a habit of forcing or stressing themselves, trying to be the best at everything. This leads them to move forward quicker than most.

Lampyanthrophus are able to utilize everything that is around them, not wasting a single drop of it, creating brilliant thoughts of strategizing themselves to overpower those who threaten them.

Everyone of them are weak in a particular emotions in which they can’t handle. However their bodies are able to modify themselves to adapt in these kind of situations. This leads them to categorise themselves based on their perks from their body modification. 

 

Chamaeleontes
When a Lampyanthrophus suffers greatly on emotions that involve with Fear , they tend to emit different solid light colours base on their surroundings. This helps them to hide themselves easily, for they camouflage onto their surroundings, blending themselves in.

 

Priaeventores
When a Lampyanthrophus suffers greatly on emotions that involve with Anger, their brain are releases a great number of defensive steroids to their body to aid themselves, regrowing limbs in a faster phase. Their muscle of motions will start to contract to strengthen them while in that aiding state, capable of releasing a powerful blow onto their foes. 

 

 

Summing all up 

 

Pros

+ Agile and sneaky 
+ Able to cooperate with their own kind easily
+ Able to regrow limbs  ( in a slower phase , like 1 irl week )
+ Recover fast  ( on smaller wounds , not severe )
+ Strong in away ( under domination emotions )
+ Having unique perks ( only in role-play )
+ Fast learners  

+ Mobile oil lamp ( who needs to bring an oil lamp with em in the dark when u have a lampy c; )  my puns are horrible ;-;

 

Cons

- Mentally weak ( their surroundings may even effect their metal state , places that has more in nature surroundings help in having a healthy mental state ) 
- Physically weak ( unable to carry heavy objects nor wear heavy-plate armours )
- Exhaust very easily 
- Weak magic release
- Ingorent  ( its hard for them to learn from their mistakes)

- Highly flammable  ( fire are able to reduce the speed of their aiding state )

While this is a very good concept, and I fully support it, I think we have too much creatures/things you can play as, and the server is getting crowded and crowded with it. I like it, though, it's good lore, it's very well written and it's just overall good

This is nice lore, and I’m sure with some fine tuning it could fit in well with the server! That said, we already have a lot of unique creatures running around that can offer an equally rich experience; how about checking those out? Otherwise, I agree with the people who posted above me. Good job nonetheless!

I dont get it ,

if the creature is all over crowded , in the case where we can't create a new creature into server, which might have a chance to spice up the server again. Whats the point of keeping those creautres that's inactive which no one play it . I mean , the Creatures that I see mostly is Morghuul , Bryophite (rarely)... How about the others?  Creatures  you mentioned ? 

 

Staffs should really do things about this 

maybe like temporary remove those creature in a lore where how these creature go extinct / unseen ...

if theres player wanted to play those creature again , make a lore on how the creature exist again .

Imo, luminescent psychopatic little boys/girls :33333  would be the last thing this server needs. Except a few minor perks I really don't see how they would spice up the server in any way. They seem to be just glowing children with regenerative properties and edgy little mindsets.

 

I can see you've put a lot of work in this, but I just wouldn't see it fitting. It's a -1 from me.

the origin for these people is so ******* vague it hurts, please lore team dont accept this lore this is just another way for people to play a snowflake character with little to no substance besides being a special kind of race and eventually abusing powers and ****, this is the last thing we need and I swear to god if this becomes a creature application race and gets accepted im going to lose massive faith in the lore team's abilities

There are too many creatures as there is already. This lore seems like it was a one night midnight dream that was written down as fast as someone could and posted. We need less special snowflakes and work with the lore LOTC already has. No more anime on lotc.

I read this earlier on when it was posted and I actually think this is a great start to an idea. I would love to plus one this but I think in order to give this a plus one it is only fair it gets developed more.

 

If I may make a suggestion I feel that this creature may be a bit more difficult to play or attract players due to the fact that the creatures are a bit anti-social. Example of that being finding them in their habitat or that they will leave for others of their kind. Perhaps making them a bit more social will help bring more of an attraction to this creature and make them easier to play. That being said I do really like where you went with the lore and the idea of emotions because at the end of the day that is how we portray a character is through their emotions!

 

Don't get discouraged by negative feedback, rather use that information to further this creature to the best of your ability. This was an incredibly fun read. C:
