Wyrvun

Lord of the Deep Cold, Father Winter, the Redeemed, the Eternal

Aengul of Virtue, Redemption, Eternity, and the Deep Cold

Symbol: A wyvern born of ice, in flight over a silent tundra

[You already know this was written by ya boi edel]

[Long Story for Ondnarch provided by Dreek!]

“It was then that Wyrvun was created, the very embodiment of the ice cold winds and the frost that settled upon the ground. For he was the Lord of the Deep Cold and the elements of his realm each answered to his call. An Aengul of great power, at his command were all that made up the realm of ice. Such was his power that he could even contest many of the creator’s divine beings.”

- Ancient Dwarven Legend, The Lord of the Deep Cold

"I sat upon that marbled lake

when Frost was specter-gray,

And Winter’s grasp made desolate

the dying eye of day.

The pitch-black vines scattered about

like strings of broken lyres,

And all mankind that haunted nigh

had sought their household fires.

The world’s bleak features seemed to be

Eternity’s corpse outleant,

His crypt the cloudy canopy

The wind his death-lament,

The ancient pulse of love and birth

Was shrunken hard and dry,

And every spirit upon the earth

Seemed fervourless as I."

Fennic poem, The Fall of Wyrvun

Within every land governed by snow and frost has stood the Lord of the Deep Cold. In those silent expanses his power is unmatched, with such might that even Primordials might bow. Manifest, he is among the greatest of Aengudaemons - from ancient times, the machinations of the ‘God of Ice’ have altered fates and cast great ripples across eternity, to such extents that even from his Realm do mortal lands bow.

In the most ancient of times, when the first Aenguls had just been born, he was called the embodiment of Purity and Virtue, Beauty and Majesty, Winter and Patience. For he was the king of those unadulterated white fields, and his reign kept the winter's bite from becoming callous destruction. His followers, though few even in that time before time, were known to be virtuous beyond measure, as his love extended most to those pure of heart. Noble souls and heroes in white might claim his patronage, and the coming of winter less dreaded than simply acknowledged by the many. His hatred for the corrupt and dark ran deep, and perhaps this magnified the tragedy to come.

His fall to Ondnarch will likely be disputed by scholars and historians for all future generations. All that is known with certainty of his fall is that a shadow of untold strength swallowed the Aengul, shattering his divinity and binding him to a corrupted physical manifestation. This event led to the birth of many more Aenguls, both major and minor, and an everlasting change in his id.

It would be a millennia before the imperfections in that enthrallment of shadow and ice would allow sweet release. For as Ondnarch, Bringer of the Silent Cold, he had become a devastating scourge upon the lands of mortals. Decades of long winter expired untold masses, and his breath of black ice even the greatest of adventurers crippled. Finally a great alliance, its members inclusive of all Descendant races, would attack his fell incarnation, and the legendary Hammer of Barradin banished that dreadful form; the Lord of the Deep Cold was born again, and, weakened by a near-eternity of pain, returned to his realm once more.

Actual Events that Occurred!

As the day grew on, rumbles began to begin in the south Eastern parts, objects in Dwarven Holds would shake, but they would go generally unnoticed. Even in Kal’Azgoth, where these rumbles were centered, they were hardly noticed.

Later, the skies began to turn dark and clouds began to form around Kal’Azgoth, and their winds brought a great chill with their gusts of air. The guards near the Deeproads began to hear strange grunts from the depths, as well as a teeth chattering chil escaping from the darkness.

Lithe figures moved in the darkness, occasionally looking towards their tall and well armored leader who stood in the front. As they moved around they prepared their weapons and made prayer to their dark master. Suddenly, it was time to move.

It was late in the day when the guards heard the bang, the bang that shook the Dwarven Lands. The Deeproads had been breached.

The first thing the guards saw was a flash of darkness, then a shot of crimson red-the color of blood. The first unit of guards was quickly overwhelmed as the hordes of feral elves descended onto them. The lieutenant watched his forces go to work and quickly traveled over to the great door of the vault, occasionally striking down a guard as he went. When he arrived at the great vault of the Dwarven Kingdom, he concentrated and summoned his master’s power. Lent to him by a god, he released his power with a satisfied release of air. In he walked, to the blasted in Vault. After looking around, the creature crossed over to a pedestal and collected what he had come for, before quickly venturing back to the center of the city.

As the Dwarven Guards fought the great hordes, they quickly began to lose hope as they saw their comrades die around them. Soon, the remaining three guardsmen were being pushed back to the gate, two nearly dead and one with many wounds. As they reached the entryway, one guard split off from his companions and began making his way to Kal’Ithrun, in order to warn his brethren of the sacked city.

As the lieutenant reached the center of the city, he received reports of one of the Dwarves escaping the attack, he screeched in rage, and slew the messenger who told him of such. Seething with rage and hatred, the lieutenant ordered his men prepare the city for a siege and to hold it all costs until the the thing they had come for could be safely stored away at their fortress. The feral minions rushed off to prepare for the great battle. The lieutenants watched on , developing his traps and how he would slaughter the axe bearing midgets.

On and on Dreek ran, his wounds dripping blood as he traveled. Grunting with pain, Dreek took a look back at the taken city, his former home. Enraged by his cowardice, Dreek swore he would bring the great forces onto the uncivilized minions of Ondnarch. Looking back in the direction of Kal’Ithrun, Dreek traveled on, warning the citizens of the Osage Forest on his way.

As the Dwarven Leadership meet around the the throne room deciding where their next attack against Ondnarch would be. Suddenly, Lord Igor Ireheart remembered the fortress entrance that his brother Dreek had told him about. Feling it important, Igor mentioned it to the council,”Meh fello Lurds, dere beh ah furtress contrull’d boi Ondnarch neer da docks. Ah remembeh meh brudder Dreek tellin meh aboot et when weh still liv’d en Kal’Azogth. Per’aps weh shuud stroike der next? Ah fink ah nooh da secret wey en frum da ducks. Weh cun tayke da legiun dere an smash der forces, den continu ep da deeproads tu Kal”Azgoth.” As the Lords all turn to Igor and listen, they begin to nod their heads in agreement. Soon, the Grand King and his Lords leave the council chamber, calling all able Dwarves together for a march.

Dark creatures scuttled about as tall lithe beings loped about through the shadows. Many loped in a single direction, heading towards the great cavern of Frost, heading towards the screeches of agony and booms of footfalls.

Hours passed, and Dwarves marched, all filing towards the great steam filled skies of the Vaerhaven Docks. As they began to near the sea, a salty smell entered their noses, masking the scent of death and dread hanging in the air. As soon as they neared the docks, the army of legionnaires turned off the path and began to dig into the mountain side, slowly unearthing a path into the mountain. As the earth was moved a musky scent of dampness wafted up from the depths of the pit that the stairs lead down to. Creeping down the circular, old, stairs, a screech echoed up from below.

Vrizuum Vri and other Shallmandrils stalked around their throne room, sending out groups of feral elves to bring back the armies. They knew what was coming, and they cowered under the fear of their master’s rage. Slowly more and more feral elf parties came in, running and leaping past the slow moving ice morphs and cultists, all travelling towards the fortress’s courtyard. More and more they gathered, sending out their screeches and prayers to their great master of ice and the deep cold. Cultists skirted in and out of the feral elf ranks, preparing their spells and summonings for the coming battle.

Shallmandrils Vrizuum Vri, Sha’zen Fer, Ule’up Wren, and Verluk Shaz looked out upon the courtyard of their growing army, praying Ondnarch would come to their aid in the battle. They feared though, that the battle that would come would destroy all hope for either side.

As Darenth Verum continues back to Kal’Ithrun with his Dwarven saviors, he explains what Ondnarch has done.

“Brethren, Ondnarch of the Frost has overtaken the deeproads, and made Kal’Azogth his castle. With his Shallmandrils defeated he has only one feral monster left under his direct control, and this great beast guards the entrance to Kal’Azgoth from the Deeproads. I fear that we will have to face it, and take Kal’Azgoth from the Deeproads. Luckily, I have a plan. I know a way from the entrance in Kal’Urir that leads to the entrance to Kal’Azgoth. This treacherous journey will require rest, food, men, and equipment. Those weapons that I gave out must come with us as well, they are essential to defeating his last feral beast, that much I know. Until then, I need my rest and time to re-equip myself. Wyrvun bless all of you.”

With that, Darenth continues on ahead of the Dwarves, making his way to Kal’Ithrun alone. However, as soon as Darenth is out of sight, a loud roar and a blast of frost sweeps throughout the Inner Valley, causing many of the Dwarves to shiver inside their plated armor. Soon the Dwarves were set to march at a faster pace, attempting to escape the furious cold. As they quickly arrived at the entryway to Kal’Ithrun, the Lords and Commanders sat down with the king and Darenth in the meeting hall. Murmurs and quiet whisperings scattered the room, casting an uneasy feel over the group of Dwarves. Finally, Darenth broke the silence and began to speak, “To the one who holds the Hammer of Old, Igor Ireheart, your dedication to the purity of a fresh snow shall be tested within the following Elven Week. You will see horrors that you never deemed imaginable. You will experience betrayal, heartbreak, and the greatest pain of them all, false hope. Live through, and push through, your duty is yours alone. Stick true and be pure.” Then, with a grin, Darenth turns to the King, “Now, I expect a hearty festival soon, it’s good to be back with my fellow Dwarves once again. I must admit one thing though, Darenth is not a true name of a Dwarf.” With that, he gets up from his seat and wanders out into Kal’Ithrun, blending in among the crowds.

As the election for King dies down in Kal’Ithrun, a swift wind picks up and whips around the city, tearing at trees and flags. As the wind picks up, a great roar is heard from the direction of Kal’Azgoth, and bloody footsteps lie around Kal’Ithrun. As the ear piercing roar continues, animals can be seen running out of the inner valley, many having parts of their fur frozen in place. Elsewhere, loud chanting can be heard echoing around the valley, as if in response to the roaring.

As the roaring and howling of the winds continues it’s battering of the Dwarven city, the city’s occupants slowly begin to wake up and get up off of their cots. Slowly, a dull murmur echoes around the city as many Dwarves all wonder what could be happening outside the City of Storm. The new Grand King, Wulfgar quickly assembles his Lords in the center of the city and begins a makeshift meeting.

As they begin the meeting, Lord Hogarth suddenly perks up, and begins to talk in a hurried whisper, ”Meh fello councilmen, ah jus realoiz’d dat dis wind an sturm moite beh ah test fer da citeh an Igur, da wilder ov Barradin’s Hammeh. Weh moite wunt tu foite dat Darenth fello, an foind ef ‘e noohs wut beh guin un.”

As the rest of the Lords process his thoughts, Grand King Wulfgar begins to nod slowly, “Aye, Aye, foind dat lad an breng ‘im tu Igur, weh need tu nooh wut beh guin un”. With that, the four Lords seperate to the four corners of the city in search of Darenth.

Darenth Verum had just picked himself out of his cold cot when he heard the roaring, and unlike the other Dwarves, he smiled a strange grin. Slowly, he plodded his way out of Kal’Ithrun, and stood, basking in the cold embrace of the winds. After murmuring to himself, he motions for the Holder of the hammer, Igor Ireheart to come out of the city and follow him. Quickly, Igor exits the gatehouse and follows Darenth to the left of the city, towards an unearthed grave. Darenth points around the grave, showing Igor the large pools of frozen blood that encircle the grave. Following the explanation, Darenth turns to Igor”This will be your first test, I’m afraid.” With that, Darenth quickly scurries back into the warm halls of Kal’Ithrun, coughing a bit as he leaves Igor staring at the uncovered grave of his brother.

As the days grow on, and the set date comes closer, a depressing mood settles over the city. They had suffered more in the past Elven week than in the entire Orenian-Dwarf War, and the final challenge was still to come. The city portrayed the dark mood of it’s inhabitants perfectly, shops were closed, the tavern empty, and citizens huddling by the warm fires. Fast winds whipped by the gates, buffeting the sole guard who watched over the courtyard of the city. This mood was especially intensified within the Clan hall of Clan Stormhammer. Members mourned and prayed for their clan father, and hoped for his success.

Meanwhile, Igor Ireheart sat at his desk, pouring over his diary and recording his recent happenings, a few drops of tears spilling into his large beard as he recounted the story of his mutated brother. Dreek’s face was seared into his memory, representing the full ability of Ondnarch’s power and hatred towards the Dwarves. Slowly, he turned his head towards the hammer that sat in the corner of his room, radiating it’s immense power. As he stared at it he recounted the stories of his life, and what he had done and left for his kin to remember him by. As he begins to get up and leave his room, he remembers his most recent nickname, and gives a slight chuckle, ready to see his brother and ancestors in the afterlife.

It seemed that the only person in the entire city that was happy was Darenth, and he radiated the feeling. The Dwarf practically bounded around the halls, radiating a sense of joy and general happiness. As he bounded around a thought came to him, that of the Broodmother and her threat to the Dwarves. Quickly, he scurried his way towards the Lord’s council chamber, his shadow flickering into inhumane shapes every few seconds. By the time he reached the lord’s chamber, his shadow had returned to Dwarven state, and his grin and changed to a face of stern seriousness. Slowly, he entered the great meeting hall of the governing body of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. As his eyes connected with those of the Grand King, Darenth spoke up”King of Kinsmen, I am nearly ready to reveal the true name of your guide, but I have a warning. Inside the caverns of the Deeproad, you will meet Ondnarch Broodmother, she who’s silk can trap a man for eternity, slowly dissolving him for decades. Needless to say, a slow and horrible death. She resides very close to the gates of Kal’Azgoth, and thus is unavoidable when approaching the entrance. I wish you luck when fighting her. One last thing though, when facing Ondnarch, the Hammer Wielder known as Igor Ireheart and myself must be the only two to enter the Castle, where Ondnarch resides. I have a special piece of iron that i was born with, prophesied to assist the Hammer Wielder in his or her final quest. I trust that your soldiers will abide by these terms. Have a good time preparing for this final battle, remember to call on me for further consultation.” As he finishes, Darenth turns on his heels and leaves the meeting room and returns to his darkened room.

Slowly, the hours passed as the city’s inhabitants mulled around, preparing for the final fight, morale was low among the Dwarven Citizens. However, unlike many of the citizens, Darenth sat in his room and meditated, small flames appearing around him as he summoned them from the void, and as the flames popped up, a strange occurrence happened. Inside the rooms of those Dwarves who held the Shallmandril’s Weapons, a slight glow could be seen. The weapons had taken on a glow of their own, exerting a stronger chill towards the owner of the weapon, forcing the chill into their body and enveloping them in the chilly mist. Soon, however, the mist dispersed and the weapons dulled down, returning to their original state. One thing had changed though, Darenth’s eyes had turned from a deep brown to a pearly blue.

The Sun’s crest had just crossed the horizon when Kal’Ithrun exploded into action, soldiers ran about gathering their equipment, Lords and Commanders shouted orders, and Lord Igor Ireheart prayed, in front of the Face of Dungrimm, alongside the High Prophet, Aldal Ireheart. It was around noon that the army had gathered outside, with Lord Igor, Lord Zahrer, Grand King Wulfgar, and Darenth Verum at it’s lead. The army was ready, and the battle was to come.

Summary: As the Dwarven Horns stopped their call, Darenth began to march them towards the inner valley, and towards the Deeproads that would bring them to Ondnarch. Soon, however, they found that the winter storms had reached their pinnacle, and the Dwarven and Snow Elven Armies were being buffeted by ice and snow. This storm though was short lived, and the Dwarves quickly reached their destination, Kal’Urir, and their entryway into the Deeproads.

After falling down into the pit, the Dwarves marched on, and quickly encountered a frost crystal. After meeting their first one, they found that it could summon Ondnarch’s beasts for a short time, before self destructing. As the army continued it’s march, they encountered three more Crystals, and several villages of feral elves. Nothing could stand in their way and survive. In a just a short time, the army had reached the pit of the broodmother. As they reached her lair, a great shriek shook the caverns, and hundreds upon hundreds of eggs cracked open. Suddenly, the cavern was filled with small and large spiders..

Hordes upon hordes of minions lined the halls of Kal’Azgoth, ready to overwhelm the Dwarven invaders, and they did. The Dwarven army was shattered by the hordes, and nearly defeated. They did, though have one ally still left. It was then, in the Dwarves’ time of peril, that the Great Gate of Azgoth shook, and cracked. The Armies of Horen and Krug had arrived to lend their strength. The Hordes of Ondnarch shook in their armor as the roaring faces of Humans and Orcs arrived on the battlefield, combatting the large numbers. Luckily for the Horde, Ondnarch had summoned his personal vanguard. The Vanguard went to work, and quickly began smashing at the invading army, chopping away slowly at their numbers. It was then, that Igor Ireheart disappeared from the battlefield.

Igor found himself in the throne room, beside Darenth and facing Ondnarch. Before Ondnarch could speak, Darenth spoke to Igor, “Because of your clan staying loyal to mine in the past, I shall offer you a word of advice. Press the hammer to his skin, that is all. Ah yes, and in the next world, remember your true loyalties.”. With that said, Darenth exited the throne room through a secret exit Grand King Thorin had made.

Igor stood firm against the gaze of Ondnarch, holding his gaze. Suddenly, Ondnarch spoke, “Come wielder of Barradin, do your best.”. As he finished, a chill shot through the room, covering the walls in frost and bringing forth three of Ondnarch’s minions. Igor however, slashed through these three, and took this advantage to let his comrades in to the castle. With the combined force of three races’ armies, they rushed Ondnarch, allowed Igor to smash the Hammer into Ondnarch’s scales. Suddenly, a bright light poured from Ondnarch and the Hammer, exploding and sending the white light to flash across Anthos. Igor had flown across the room from the explosion, the hammer destroyed, and his heart stopped.

A brilliant light began to spread from Ondnarch’s body, as his scales drained of the darkness, and he began to rise again, this time anew. Soon he spoke. “I am free sons of Urguan, Horen, and Krug, and have purged a great evil from this land. The Aengul Ondnarch is no more, and I, Wyrvun, have replaced him in my pure state. I will continue to watch over the deep frost once again, and make sure it does not consume me again. I have chosen my champion though, and Igor Ireheart shall rise to the Halls of the Brathmordakin as my Paragon, he shall be the avenger of the Dwarves. Ah, and your gifts shall arrive outside your capitals soon. Be aware and watchful, for I fear an ancient evil shall return and bring doom to the children of Urguan once again.” As he finished, Wyrvun flew out of Kal’Azgoth, smashing the gate and then disappearing into a flash of light.

After picking up the Dead bodies of Igor and Paragon Kjell Ireheart, the Dwarves and their allies marched home in a somber tone, ready to resume their regular lives once again.

In modernity, Wyrvun is the Aengul of the Deep Cold, of Virtue, of Redemption, and of Eternity. He is the patron of all those that live within lands of snow and ice, and his power is undeniable in those realms for he is, in the simplest of terms, the cold incarnate. His place among the pantheons of Aengul-worshippers is often unstable, more frequently being worshipped by those that perceive themselves to be under his direct blessings. Perhaps his corruption and near-eternity of influence by that primordial shadow left the Aengul paranoid, for within those lands of permafrost, the would-be deity of all things frigid lays heavy hand.

Wyrvun is among the most explicit in his purpose, one that has not changed in overarching action since his birth - the celebration of winter among mortals, protection of those lands eternally coated in winter and its inhabitants, and, after his release, the uplifting of the damned. With those long years spent in chains, Wyrvun's purpose has been honed, and in a sense, reborn. For the virtuous lost, the masses cast from society from machinations not their own, he is an often unseen savior. Called the Redeemed, it is his taken prerogative to bring a second chance to those innocent souls cursed by their once-was and had-been. His miracles are such that few would credit him - perhaps, in a blizzard, the snow might for a second seem to create a passage, or the lonely pilgrim of the wastes chance upon an abandoned shack or cave in which to rest.

Depictions

Though best known for the ice-wyvern form popularized by his appearance in the eyes of the Dwedmar and Mali’fenn, Wyrvun has many known identities. In the religion of the Frostbeards, Wyrvun has been called "The Mother". Taking the appearance of a young woman in white, it is their belief that Wyrvun is the wife of Yemekar. The physical manifestation that has been most easily verified is that of Ondnarch - a giant dragon made of black ice and skeletal remains with breath of dark frost, bound in chains of shadow and plague.

In his restored form, Wyrvun most often takes the visage of an ice wyvern - a pure white, unlike his darkened, draconic form under the mantle of Ondnarch. This great wyvern has been described as larger than any mountain, a blue glow cast around his phantasmic form as light itself would bent. The temperature would plummet with his appearance, and the air would freeze.

Perhaps, for those truly defeated, they might find a lodge in which a kindly old man known simply as "Father Winter" grants them repose. Dressed in white furs and with a great beard and ruddy features, it is said that this form was taken by his corrupted form, Ondnarch, to entice the first Frost Witch into his embrace. More recently, this form's meaning has been changed to something closer to the idea of prodigious return - that circumstance might allow the virtuous lost to become heroes and redeem themselves before society.

On near-every continent, among the ruined civilizations and silent plains and tundras of everlasting cold stand the Wayshrines, statues of stone and ice holding Wyrvun, or his dark alternate, in veneration. Whether placed there by Wyrvun to be made into holy places, or built by those kingdoms long forgotten, their cold emissions have bred stories more often than not of their enablement of the devout to speak to the would-be god.

The Eternal Watch

the_frozen_lake_by_furgur.jpg

Wyrvun’s realm is the Eternal Watch, and within is his sanctuary, the Gray House. The Eternal Watch is a realm ruled by winds of ice and frost - not a step can be taken where one is not on ice or snow, and it stretches past the horizon. In what can only be assumed is the center stands the Gray House - a massive fortress of white metal, surrounded by tall, gray stone walls and a forest of black trees.

Within the Gray House is many hundreds of thousands of rooms, for it is here that Wyrvun’s plans in antiquity can be seen - every Aengul has a goal, and his was once the acceptance and love of the cold. It is said that these halls are reserved for those believers of Wyrvun and lovers of the cold, that they too might find an afterlife befitting them, but the existence of any soul but Wyrvun’s in the Eternal Watch has never been confirmed in any reasonable way.

Following

"His love for all that was of the Deep Cold was strong, and it pained him deeply that the mortal races of the world dreaded for it to begin and would soon celebrate its end." The Lord of the Deep Cold, cont.

Wyrvun is worshipped by the Mali’fenn, but his fall to Ondnarch, perhaps ironically, has doomed this lover of mortals to little worship among greater society. The first Frost Witches are said to have been born by his physical manifestation as Ondnarch, and the Mali’fenn believe that their entire race’s perpetuation is predicated on the continued worship of their “God”.

That is not to say, though, that the Snow Elves are the only ones to worship this Aengul. Wyrvun occupies a prime spot within the Frostbeards' True Faith of the Brathmordakin, was once within the wider Brathmordakin, and is included in most lists of Aengudaemons in some form. In most other pantheons, though, Wyrvun generally takes no more than a minor role, if any.

My boy Wyrvun was literally impossible to find real lore on except some excerpts about "ancient stories". Of course, I had to remedy that. Welcome to Edel makes lore for winter lovers, part two.

Well-written, great concepts, and clarifies a lot of things on Wyrvun that were previously left unanswered, while fleshing him out far better than was previously done. It's perfect.

I unfortunately didn't get a chance to read the previous rendition of the lore behind Wyrvun but this is truly a work of art. Well done to Edel for all the hard work he put into this!

Seeing as it's official lore, it would be better to say that it was the hammer of barradin that purified wyruvn, not a myriad of divine weapons. I ran the event line for ondnarch and wyrvun's return, and still have all the documents zezimis and I created for wyrvun and ondnarch. I can supply them if you want.

If you could send them to me, that'd be fantastic. I'll edit your suggestion in as well.

Given stories implicitly state quite a bit. First and foremost of this being that the dwarves ALONE defeated Ondnarch twice. I would suggest going through what Dreek gives you or asking me if you have questions about any of it as there is a great deal of lore already and there's little sense in rewriting it.

Side note, Buff tells me the Snow Elves or some other form of elves were also there, but that's not verified.

Given stories implicitly state quite a bit. First and foremost of this being that the dwarves ALONE defeated Ondnarch twice. I would suggest going through what Dreek gives you or asking me if you have questions about any of it as there is a great deal of lore already and there's little sense in rewriting it.

I was literally there on a Snow Elf with several other Snow Elves. I also played an antag of the Ondnarch Eventline. Additionally present were rallies from Oren, Malinor, and the Orcs.

The final battle that took place was primarily made up of Dwarves who stormed through the deeproads(there may have been 1 or 2 snow elves(as dwarven vassals), but 20 to 30 dwarves). The armies of oren and krugmar battered down the gate of kal'azgoth after the dwarves had retaken the city proper. If we are speaking technically, the only person who fought ondnarch was Igor Ireheart who used the hammer of barradin. Several dwarves also fought him and lost earlier(dreek, random unnamed props, and thorin grandaxe). The phrasing here is very important, because this lore rewrite could override actual events that took place on the server.

Buff mentions that he played an antag, but sorry buff but you were never a leader and only were asked to fill in as an actor at some times. The leaders of it were me dave and zezimus, with kowaman and dizzy providing imput.

Malinor elves did partake, but only in the smaller battles to retake holds like kal'urir or minor deeproads battles

All that is known with certainty of his fall is that a shadow of untold strength swallowed the Aengul, shattering his divinity and binding him to a corrupted physical manifestation for millenia. This event led to the birth of many more Aenguls, both major and minor, and the Aspect Cernunnos’ seizure of the Winter season, completing the Aspects’ control of the natural world.

Just going to correct this right away. No. That's not how that even works.

In response to popular demand, I've included the entirety of the rp I found on the event line, and it should be considered the canon over the abridged Ondnarch section within the rewrite.

Current lore on Wyrvun is incredibly minimal. Yes, accounts exist in relation to the turn of Wyrvun into Ondnarch, and the subsequent eventline. Other than that, nothing at all has been written about Wyrvun, outside of the context of the eventline occurrences from 3.0. There's a reason the Lore Team was preparing to shelve him, as we've been told.

Edel and I have been working on an official written religion based around Wyrvun for the Snow Elves, and literally had to stop because he's not nearly fleshed out enough to base an entire religion on. Aside from his fall and redemption, nothing is written about him, from which no values and beliefs can actually be derived. This rewrite is an absolute necessity if Wyrvun is to actually be used in roleplay, instead of locked away as some out-used deity until the Lore Team puts him out of his mercy by shelving him.

Edel's phrasing is taken from the very writings about Wyrvun that you directed him to. Nobody is understating the Dwarven significance of Wyrvun's purification. Wyrvun's address as listed in what you gave Edel mentioned the non-Dwarven forces that participated in the conflict.

I never claimed to be a leader? I only ever claimed that I played an antag - which I did. And, I only brought it up as proof that I was there.

I was told (by Buff, who was told by Flamboyant) that with the death or disappearance of an Aengul, their "job" could/would be taken by another. If the way I wrote it isn't how it works in practice, could I be told how to fix it?
