The Jayamen Retreat

Located north-east of the cloud temple. Follow the road north then east at the crossroads, then head east on that road until a sign is on your right advertising the Retreat. Alternatively you can send a bird to Jaya Jayamen (( Sofetios )) and he can come to you to guide you there.

 

The Jayamen retreat is a great place to go with a group of friends, your partner, or just yourself to enjoy yourself and relax. We have many activities that are available here as well as plenty of good ways to relax. You could have a competition with friends at the Clay ball range, enjoy good music at the piano concert at the end of every elven day, or even just sit down in the eatery and have a good book to read while drinking sweet tea. There are only 8 rooms (each room is good for 1 person or 1 person and their partner), so we will fill up fast.  Make a reservation today, or simply come over today to get a spot. Facilities

 

 

Clay ball throwing range

(( Snowballs are actually soft clay balls in RP here ))

 

The clay ball throwing range is a great place to have fun trying to hit the target.  We have a game that goes along with the throwing range for you and others to play, or you can make your own competition, game, or rules. Perhaps simply use the range for fun! Rules to the throwing range game are on a sign next to the throwing range.

 

 

 

The Piano Room

(( you can play actual songs in-game on these with a bit of guidance and if they are tuned right.  They are basically noteblocks tuned to certain notes.))

 

The Piano room is a good place to try out your creative side. There are four Grand pianos where you can try to make music. one normal, one bass sounded, one lute sounded, and one flute sounded. Need a lesson or want to learn a song? Just ask Jaya Jayamen ((Sofetios)) and he can teach you a song or two. no experience necessary. We also try to have a small concert every elven night ((8:00 PM EST)) for those interested.

 

 

 

The Jayamen Eatery

 

Want a good drink and food after a long relaxing day? Come on in the Eatery, we have a good amount of different drinks and food available, free of charge.  From Pale ale to wine and from seasoned steak to Cake, there are plenty of things to dine on here. There are also a fair amount of books you can read here, poetry, some adventure, also some philosophical.

 

 

 

The Jayamen Docks

 

The Jayamen Docks are a place where you can have boat rides in the ocean, perhaps fish, or go on a boat to the fishing platform a little bit outwards from the dock. Boats are available for those who wish to use them.

 

 

 

The Fishing Platform

 

At the fishing platform you can enjoy being out in the ocean and fishing for big fish. There are plenty of fishing supplies available and space for multiple people to fish.

 

 

 

The Fencing ring

 

The fencing ring is available for those who wish to practice the art of the sword. bring a friend or two and have fun trying to score light hits on one another. ((mainly here for RP fight practice))

 

 

 

The Game, Catapult

 

A fun game where you try and guess where your opponents pieces are on a grid while hoping they dont guess where your pieces are. A game of Luck and Strategy. ((a smaller version of battleship)) If you need help or instruction, please ask Jaya Jayamen. There is also a instruction sign next to the game.

 

 

 

The Game board

 

We have a life size checkers board available here. don't worry about not being able to move the pieces, they are very light and hollow, so easily moved.  We also can set up a game of chess if you are interested. if you need instruction on how to play, or want to play chess, just ask Jaya Jayamen. There is also a instruction sign for checkers next to the game.

 

 

 

The Garden

 

The garden area is full of flowers and plant life. there is a gazebo and also a spot in the middle of a flower field to relax and picnic if you choose to. There is also a small track around the garden for you to take a walk on should you want to.

 

 

 

Pico Tables

 

We also offer free decks for a game called Pico. This is a simple game of luck and strategy. Easy to play. You should get a Pico deck upon getting a room, as well as a small Pico instruction book. Tables to play are out in various places around the retreat.

 

 

Four in a Row Tables

We also have tables to play four in a row. it is a simple strategy game, very easy to play, hard to master. There is also a rulebook at each table. ((basically connect 4))

 

 

 

Rooms

 

Each room comes with a double sized bed for one to two people. a desk, a storage space, and a furnace. In the storage space you will find a fishing rod, a good amount of soft clay balls for the throwing range, a philosophical book called Melunis the Mad, a book of poetry, some firewood, a few cookies, some coal, and a Pico set complete with rules. All items in the storage space are yours to keep.

 

Remember, if you need anything, extra fishing rods, extra clay balls, piano lessons, etc. please let Jaya Jayamen (( Sofetios )) know, he will get you set up.

 

 

 

Checking in

 

There are 8 rooms total in this retreat. Each room can hold one to two people comfortably. Each room costs 100 Minas per elven day. You can stay a maximum of 3 elven days unless there is a free room at the end of your stay, then you may rent the same room again for 1-3 more elven days. We offer rooms at a first come, first serve basis. You can make a reservation up to 7 elven days in advance, though payment is needed up-front for this.

All guests must not touch the crops or the animals. they are off-limits.

 

If there is no one currently staying at the Retreat, someone can rent the whole retreat out for 1-3 elven days. each elven day costs 1000 Minas for this.
