Populations are increasing in every county at a good rate, and the Kings support is unwavering. Despite all of the peace and good fortune in the average citizen's life though 10 thousand infantry soldiers are trained to guard strategic positions around the world.”Hopefully those ten thousand will turn into one hundred thousand”. Exclaimed the king. The Gaelic Concordat also saw its first ships developed and an armada built up. The ships have basic tech but there is said to be rumors of a new engine in the works that will need to be installed into all current ships in a few months. In other news a team of archaeologists discovered a series of ancient looking ruins scattered throughout remote regions of the planet. Along with early metal tools leading scientists to rule out some sort of connected ancient civilization. Efforts are made to search for more of these ruins,and if any life is found they are to be captured alive for studying and if need be they will be tamed. and it is reported that many of the architects in the counties around these sites wish to study the buildings and use their style and mesh it into their own. They were content to establish a casual dominance of the eastern reaches. Any lurking in the shadows were jealous of such splendid powers. Even now more members were filing in to the sessions of affairs. Most of this was a complex exchange of favors and deals. Several notable Redon lords had taken to championing the unionist cause with humans in a Federation. And it was already paying of.... The Redon's newest and biggest ambition was underway. Their society was grouped around the dependance of all the Lords and great houses. They in turn depended on their subjects to maintain their desires. The fleet was the all consuming project. The Redon nobility was convinced it would be all the wealth they need. Indeed Skotov had secured several measures in the shadowy rooms of the galaxy. And so they would dedicate themselves to ships capable of fighting and traveling through the stars. The Dreadnought as the human allies like to call it will be built. It shall be the glorious flag ship of the ever growing fleet. From it the elite and nobility will command the entire star fleet. A fine man, with a long face and high cheekbones. Perhaps descended from a noble family, from centuries ago. Perhaps the ancestor of a long forgotten samuraï. His eyes were dark and focused straight ahead. His gaze, like a focused beam, shot about a foot above Rysuusuke’s head. They called him the Short Dragon among the rank and file, and the name had spread to the people too. He didn’t mind, it was not an insult. Merely a statement of fact. He was short and he was a dragon. And he was still alive beyond what would have been expected of him. Much like a short dragon. He looked the soldier up and down. His white armor shone brightly, the newly added Kinetic Gel padding it up in places he had never had it. Heavier, perhaps. Bulky? Probably not, he had seen them in action earlier today. Held across his chest was a rifle, boxy, but slim and long, a careful melody of danger and elegance, crafted and designed by those who knew that image was as important as effectiveness in their business. The tropical heat blasted down upon Ryuusuke’s neck and shoulders, bringing forth beads of sweat upon his neck, only for them to drop down his withered back. Gnats and mosquito’s whined around his head, ignoring him, with his bad blood and poor veins, lasering in on the soldiers lined up in front of him. One landed upon the man’s prominent cheek, it bit him. He didn’t even flinch, and these hurt more than their brothers on earth. “Him,” he said quietly. The platform they stood upon was raised to a little under tree level, in a region where the canopy arched above high enough to spawn envy within the hearts of those who had once built Cathedrals in Europe. Bridges leapt back and forth throughout the trees, leading to a series of other platforms, and ground areas. A training facility most excellent. Most needed. “He will do well.” So Shirou Yasutake motioned with an arm, standing behind him. A blur in the corner of his eye, all done without a word. The soldier bowed deeply before them both and marched over to the other side of the platform, where twenty-two others waited. Ceremonial swords shone at their sides, an old model, a traditional one. It would never do in combat. Miss Kase knew, so did Yasutake. Given the time, they too would change with the world around them. He looked at the assembled twenty-two for a moment before turning back to the files before him. Eight more to go, an honor guard for a Convention. A good time to advertise their product. Guns and hard men. I wonder how much you will fill it with life and activity. - Any issues that are outstanding, colonizing and such, poke me. GrimBeard 46 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Galactic Remnants 2105 by the human calendar marked a year of celebration. For it marked a grand amount of cooperation. The United Eastern Nation's were equalist. They preached sharing their resources and technology for a common good. And it was already showing it's true value. Even now, a grand fleet was assembling. The Redons war fleet was the jewel of it. Led by Artus, King's Champion, Duelist, Lord of the Northern Plains of Ethos, and commander of the expedition. It would take a few weeks to assemble, but then they would set off. They would head west, going as fast as possible. The Redon expedition would make a brief stop at the Sarranid capital. There Artus would officially greet it's despot, and pledge UEN protection. After a feast, the expedition set off again with a few more ships. They were on a strict time table, and driven relentlessly by Artus. After around 10-12 weeks the war fleet would finally arrive in Ronin space prepared..... To buy some wonderful mercenaries! The Redons had heard of their prowess even as far as the east. King Skotov himself made it clear Artus must employ some of the men. The deal was made with the government, and some lovely regiments are recruited. Their high tech outfitting made them very appealing in the years to come. Yet again however it was on a dense time table. Ronin ships would be waiting at a meeting point on the UEN path. They would deliver the mercenary force and resupply the fleet, taking payment in return. And then the UEN fleet heads for it's true purpose! King Skotov remains at home, to tend to the realm. The Edonians lived up to their promises made some years ago. The former capital and remaining population of the USSR is subjugated under the G.R. It will be an official military sector under Redon rule. A further colony will be furnished by the Edonians, to further the realms reach. An opportunity had arisen and been identified, and the company was loathe to pass such things up. First of all, the colony ship produced last year heads south to colonise a new sector, to be named Pinzian. They settle on a suitable planet, which is the colonists decide to call Aglar. The company makes some more territorial claims now it has the territorial projection to do so, some in the south near the new system, and one in the east. Resource surveys are done in these new territorial claims to try identify any deposits. Meanwhile, back in the already established sectors, some investments are made by the company of two sorts. The first is a typical investment into the subsidiary companies of the VBAG, this time on the planet Tagtraum. The second is a large expansion of the orbital shipyard above Siegfriedshafen, with the aim of both expanding capacity for smaller ships and allowing construction of larger ones, such as battleships. On the matter of ships, the company begins the construction of some this year. One Richter-class Light Cruiser, a Wächter-class Frigate, and 2 Abfangjäger-class Corvettes start assembly in the orbital drydock above Siegfriedshafen. Meanwhile, the company begins investing in the establishment of a second university on Tagtraum, which is receiving a great deal of attention this year. Research continues on improved fighter models, with projections estimating their completion by the end of the year.
