DAWN OF DIVINITY

Spoiler

“Awaken my child, and embrace the glory that is your birthright! Know that I am AO, the eternal will of all that has been and shall be, and that you have been created to serve Me. And lo, for I decree that the formless Void shall no longer be so! You shall be the architects of a new reality, the gods of the world to be. I deign to grant you and your brethren the free will to do as you wish. Go forth and create. I give you all that IS in this universe. Do not disappoint Me, or abuse the power I grant you - or you shall face My Wrath.”

Brought forth from the great cosmic nothing, you are a newborn deity. Created by Ao, the almighty Overgod, you have been granted a blank slate of a world to do with as you wish. It is your task to create the world; its form, its laws, its life. How will you create the world? Will there be one planet, or many? Will it be flat or spherical? Will there be magic? Will there be great civilisations and mighty heroes, or will there by cataclysmic struggles between elemental beings across a tumultuous plane? The Void is yours to shape as you see fit – but beware the wrath of all-seeing and fickle Ao.

This game is not a nation FRP – you are not playing a race or a country. Instead you play one god out of many, working with your fellow gods to create a fantasy world and interact in it. Think of it as a cooperative world-building game!

As a player, initially with simple statements in the first couple of turns and later with an AP system, you will shape the world and interact with its denizens. As the GM, in the guise of Ao the Overgod, I will narrate and moderate your actions and illustrate the interactions between your divine acts.

The game will be divided into very different sections as time goes on, referred to as “Ages” – each one occuring after several turns. In the First Age, the opening turns of the game, you will dictate what you want the world to be like, shaping its natural (or supernatural) laws and geography, adding climate, mystical places, and even a few lifeforms or perhaps sentient races if you’ve saved up enough AP!

After that, your gods will be sent into slumber by Ao for several centuries – when you awaken you will see the impact of your actions! Perhaps the magical forces of the world have transformed the quaint little plant creatures you created into fully sentient ents! In this Second Age, the cost of creating races decreases significantly, but you can now longer alter the fundamental laws of reality, and altering geography is more expensive than before.

The Third Age will be even more dramatically different than the last! How have the races of the world, and your other creations, interacted with each other in the absence of the gods? Will they still be the quaint innocent cavemen you remember, or will the llama elves you showered so much attention on have become arrogant and genocidal crusaders intent on wiping out those not chosen by the gods?! And now the gods have returned to the world, how will you interact with the mortals that inhabit it? Will you reveal your divine majesty to them and demand worship, imposing your desires upon them, or will you take a more subtle approach and respect the rights of mortals to shape their own destiny. The Third Age will have numerous mini-ages within it – there will be many timeskips, allowing the peoples of the world to interact without your oversight.

Nothing you create, with a few exceptions, is owned solely by your god. If you create a race, another god will not be able to wipe them out entirely – but they can certainly effect them with their actions. Say you create a lake next to the town of your newly created llama elves, and fill it with magically replenishing delicious fish – nothing is stopping another god from sending one of his or her avatars there and saying “I DID THAT! Worship me!”, or from turning the nice peaceful mountain next to town into an erupting volcano.

Overpowering one of your creations, being too direct in the imposition of your vision for the world, or simply annoying him will draw the Wrath of Ao. Wrath can be manifested in many ways, and triggered for many reasons – for Ao is an enigmatic god, and wholly beyond the power of his children. Rarely will he totally erase an offending act, but he may twist it in subtle or direct ways.

I would encourage you all to be IMAGINATIVE in your creations! Fantasy worlds are all well and good, but can be a bit samey. Any races that seem TOO vanilla to me will be changed in subtle ways in the modposts. Who wants dwarves and elves when you can have insectmen and sentient lava people! I leave this down to you all, BUT straight up vanilla humans are banned.

God Name: Bruk, God of Fire and the Forge

Appearance: Although never truly in a singular form, Bruk takes on an entirely stone-like appearance in a shape similar to any bi-pedal race thought imaginable. However, only the upper half of his body usually stays the same with two arms, ten fingers, a head and dulled glowing yellow eyes. His lower half, on the other hand, shifts and morphs as he moves. Rocks, ores, and any other kinds of ground-based materials simply flow below him, transferring his upper half across the ground. With this being said, Bruk, as he has no definitive form, often simply... appears in places where one may have seen only a pile of rocks moments before. He may also adjust his bodily proportions from time to time, whether it be by growing numerous limbs, shrinking to minuscule sizes, or even to titanic heights into the clouds far above.

Agenda: Bruk has always had an affinity with his fellow elemental Gods, though always seems to find himself detrimental when collaborating with the more natural elements for some reason... Other Gods which seek fame, fortune or worship over their duties as Gods have always left Bruk with a taste of charcoal in his mouth, never seeming to stay on good terms with them as they conflict his morals. Bruk’s view on the world has always been objective, mostly looking into the needs of the lands rather than the wants of the God that created it. Then again, every continent should have at least a few magma-brewing volcanoes...

Description: Ironically, Bruk has the tendency to come off as a level-headed, and grounded individual when compared to some of the more self-righteous Gods within the Pantheon. To some he may seem to be the mediator, seeking to find a common ground between quarrelling parties, though, from another perspective, Bruk can turn to an insinuator, capable of escalating situations further than they should have gone in the first place. However, to the few worshippers that do see his contribution to the construction of the world, he is often devoted to them, noble, and even sometimes generous. A gift from the Gods, which may just be an iron tool, is not uncommon for his worshippers to find, nor for other Gods that he seeks to better relations with. His focus of the world is to see the needs of the many outpace the desires of the few. Whilst understanding order must remain for eternity, the watchful eye of Bruk never strays far from those held in esteem.

Sample Creation: Although rather simplistic and predictable, as Bruk is, he easily raises thunderous volcanoes across the lands at nearly any point in which he pleases. The lands which surround these monstrous creations often become desolate, incapable of yielding crops as the hellish fire rolls across the plains turning all in it’s path to mere ashes. As comes with his skillset of destroying entire countrysides, he also retains the power of creation. Not particularly of life, nor of entire landmasses, but rather of objects. Whether it be a gifted item such as jewelry, or a forged construct that reaches into the heavens, Bruk finds a way to forge anything, into anything.

God Name: Dorytha, Goddess of Stone, Stoneworking, and Mountains.

Appearance: Dorytha takes on the form of a humanoid woman wearing dark grey clothing whenever she visits the mortal realm. Her typical appearance is broadly built, muscular, and not particularly ugly or beautiful. Her hair is normally grey, but sometimes can be black or brown, and her skin color is a light grey as well.

Agenda: Dorytha wishes to do nothing but build up mountains, hills, badlands, and all sorts of stony nooks and crannies. She does not care what happens to her creations, provided that they are kept in existence in some way.

Description: Dorytha works far slower than the other Deities, oftentimes waiting a thousand years before completing something, and slumbers often. On top of this all, Dortha possesses a patience nearly as large as the mountains she wishes to create. Her creations, while sluggish, heavy, and far too few in number, are more powerful than the crafts of most other Gods, and can stay along for far longer too. A thousand years of wind may wear away at the mountains, but they will always stand.

When taking humanoid form, instead of becoming more quick to act like sentient creatures of a similar size, Dorytha becomes even MORE sluggish, patient, and powerful than when she’s immaterial. Instead of taking a physical form to convey messages to her followers like most Deities, Dorytha becomes physical only to observe her creations slowly and watch as time slowly wears them down over the millennium. Instead of exploring the world in Physical form, Dorytha is content to simply find a nicer rock to lay her head on, and go to sleep for another hundred years after having finished her last project.

Sample Creation: Dorytha, being a rather sleepy Goddess of Stone, would naturally wish to create something similar to herself if she were to ever create life. Such life would be slow, sluggish, yet powerful. An example of something like this would be Stone Giants; massive creatures of rock and gravel who roam the land looking for unwanted creatures in the Mountains. These Stone Giants would be almost as large as mountains, easily able to smash anything they desire. However, very few Stone Giants would be created, and these Stone Giants would have no way of naturally reproducing. On top of this, Stone Giants would need to sleep for decades to make up for the lost sleep after having been active for a few years. It would not be uncommon for entire settlements to be unknowingly carved into a Stone Giant only to be destroyed when the Giant wakes up.

God Name:

Wol-Kot, the Nightweaver, the Dreamstalker

Appearance:

Wol-Kot is formless, never truly materializing on the earthly plane. Those who have spoken to him describe only a silver mist enveloping their surroundings, with dark figures barely coming into view in the hazy distance, before vanishing. His voice comes to them always as if standing just behind their shoulders, and though it sounds kind, his words rarely are.

Agenda:

The Nightweaver ultimately seeks to harvest the souls of the living, to arrange them all in perfect service to himself within his ethereal realm of Soth-Kogath. Any god who stands in his way will be remembered.

Description: (Long-form description of your god’s nature, personality and vision for the world.)

It has often been wondered why Ao saw fit to give life to Wol-Kot, the Nightweaver and Stalker of Dreams. From the start, he held little interest in shaping the world that Ao had wrought, and he looked upon his fellow deities with indifference. Alone, he carved a realm for himself deep in the bowels of the earth, where he hid, for centuries ruminating on questions forever unknown to us. It was only when the first mortal souls breathed on the world’s surface that he once again stirred.

While mortals slept, Wol-Kot spread a portion of his being thinly over the world, and their spirits walked freely through the shadow-world he had created, imprinting their own fears and aspirations onto its nature. Thus were the first dreams dreamed, and the mortals accepted them. But they did not know then that the Nightstalker was watching. When he at last revealed himself, it was in the full knowledge of what these insects truly desired. He offered it, but with a steep price: their service, in life and after. Their souls would be his in the darkest pocket of the shadow-world, far below the earth...Soth-Kogarth.

Who can say what the Dreamweaver wants with the souls of the once-living? Perhaps the gods know what lies behind the veil of Soth-Kogath, where Wol-Kot waits beyond the land of dreams. But if one were to tell you, would you trust him?

Sample Creation: (Could be anything to a law of nature, a place, race or a magical avatar of your will. This is just to jog your imagination.)

The shadow plane is an echo of our own world, made up of Wol-Kot’s essence. It is naturally a pale reflection of physical reality, but is malleable to the whims of mortals. It is here that their spirits wander when they dream, living out their unconscious thoughts whether pleasant or not. Notably, two mortals cannot interact with each other here, as their individual power over reality prevents either from seeing the other. To enter into the dreams of another, one would need command over a small part of Wol-Kot’s power. If a mortal were so blessed, we would call them a Dreamstrider, and the people would hope that the power be used for good. If a beast were so blessed, we would call it a monster, and the people would stay awake.

God Name: Ixthalizzum, God of Indecision, Confusion, Derangement, and Irony

Appearance: She has no face--no wait, he does! Several faces! No, two. Only two faces. Those three faces are separated by their emotional state. One looks frightened, and the other two appear frightened as well. The fourth face looks maniacally happy and speaks for all five faces across the God’s body. The others speak, but rarely address the other Gods as it would be a waste of time. When the faces do engage with the other Gods (as they often do) they never allow the fourth face to speak for them at any point. They also never allow the fouth face to speak under any circumstances. Though Ixthalizzum does not have a face, he does have tonsils. Why? To guard against infection. This is why he has six mouths.

Agenda: Ixthalizzum always thinks he is right, though it’s difficult to determine what precisely he’s right about. He dislikes order and conviction, as no-one should be completely certain about anything. All Gods/mortals/beings should second-guess themselves until they can’t remember what it was they were trying to do. They will go mad trying to figure out what it was they were attempting to do! They were probably never going to do it in the first place, though. Whatever it was. What were they doing, again? They should probably reconsider--or not.

Description: Ixthalizzum does not desire to be worshiped, as that would give credence to the certainty that he exists--which she may not. He prefers to ignore the actions of the Gods, which is good for the gods themselves as it means he will not interfere with their plans. He is utterly untrustworthy, and is just as likely to turn on an ally as he is to strike an enemy. Or the complete opposite! Any and all certainty that he sees ought to be undermined.

Sample Creation: Nothing. Ixthalizzum cannot decide what to create, if he is to create anything. He will, however, transform other creations of other Gods if he feels they are too rigid in their design or too strong in their convictions. For instance--one God builds a giant fortress, impregnable by any means. Ixthalizzum will make its soldiers forget their shifts and lose important documentation regarding its maintenance. Another God founds a faith of cast-iron rules and laws, so Ixthalizzum drives the leader mad and makes the adherents question their authorities.

God Name: Yngbald, god of Magic and Progress

Appearance: Yngbald would have the appearance of an old man. Covering him is a dark cloak, being able to cover his face in darkness or keep it clear to any observers as Yngbald wishes it. Under his cloak he wears simple clothes, with the appearance of the clothes changing in regards to whate enviroment Yngbald appears in. Though whenever he goes through chaotic lands he has old bronzen armor. On top of that he carries with him a staff, willed into existence by Yngbald with an ivory white color with runes etched into it. But those are not the most noticable things aboutt his appearance. No it are the two empty sockets that are where his eyes should have been. However, when he actively uses his godly abilities or uses magic his sockets are filled with a bright blue light.

Yngbald is a shapeshifer so he is not necceserily limited to the appearance of one race but when in private or with the gods he is either in humanoid form or simply a mass of shadows.

Agenda: Yngbald, whilst not active in the creation of races if it is not needed he will involve himself in mortal affairs to see the mortal races progress. Seeking out the secrets that creations holds and using it to their advantage. On top of that he will possibly push mortals to do certain things to further certain …... ‘experiments’.  He will also create the forces neccesary for the experiments as well as several differents areas of knowledge mortals can explore. Yngbald dislikes and slightly fears Ixthalizzum. Fearing that he/she may interfere in his experiments and the progress of mortals.

Description: Yngbald is a god that sees creation as part experiment and study. Thus he wishes to see the different things that mortals can create and how they will use their creativity to do things the gods can’t even imagine. To achieve that he wishes to cultivate the mortal mind, to make them wiser and make them adapt so that they can take part in experiments. With his goal to get the mortal races to discover the secrets that creation holds he will if needed interfere with mortal affairs but generally he is off-hands about mortals, subtly guiding them towards greater goals and experiments.

When the mortals discover a new application of obscure knowledge or manage to solve an impossible solution Yngbald is often giddy and enthusiastic. However, he is often quite moody and angry whenever disasters happen that set back his experiments or the progress of mortal races. But he is also irritated whenever civilization stop making progress and become a stale slate. Thus he dislikes both gods of either extreme order or chaos, preferring a mix of both.

Sample creation: Magic, or that is what the mortals would call it. However in all actuallity it is changing matter to different forms. May it be from gaseous to solid or the reverse. Some mortals are gifted with the ability to be …...... catatalysts for this transfiguration. They have the ability to efficiently and for a low amount of energy shift the matter of one object to another. The things they can create with transmutation are limited with the knowledge they have over the elements as well as the complexity of these elements and structures. Some elements can also be easier to change to another if they have similair qualities and characteristics. Certain changes also get easier the more often they are done, thus allowing magic to be either focused on versitility or in a specific ability. To top it off some mortals are simply better conductors and can, with enough knowledge, change the elements to another in larger quantities, thus making some mortal truly dangerous individuals.

God Name: Kaha-Nu-Buhu, Goddess of Souls and the Moon, the Guiding Light

Appearance: Kaha-Nu-Buhu appears as a woman's skeleton, covered from head to toe in rubies. Her eye sockets are occupied by two large opals that shine with an ethereal, white glow. By day, the rubies appear dull and unreflective, however by night, each gem reflects an individual beam of moonlight off of her body. She is surrounded by blissful souls of the recently departed.

Agenda: Kaha-Nu-Buhu seeks to guide the souls of the dead to her afterlife. She seeks to give them a blissful life after death, devoid of strife. Being an incredibly vain god, she also seeks to provide wondrous scenes of her influence to the denizens of the living realm.

Description: The Goddess of Souls has an extremely arrogant and vain attitude when dealing with mortals, oftentimes flaunting her power and influence over the world. Despite this, she is generally benevolent, bestowing boons and gifts when she sees fit. She has an abhorrence towards strife and suffering, seeking happiness and peace instead.

Sample Creation: Unable to deal with the idea of an end to life, Kaha-Nu-Buhu raised a great red moon through the sky, it's magnificent radiance touching all across the living realm. However, the moon's true importance was only known to Kaha-Nu-Buhu herself. The Moon would act as a conduit to Nahu-Ag, Kahu-Nu-Buhu's realm of the dead, guiding virtuous souls into eternal bliss.

God Name: Skatal, Bringer of Disease

Appearance: Skatal appears as a large rat with changing size, depending on the situation on the epidemics occurring in. Its fur is for the most part a deep grey but contains bald patches at random locations, from where large clusters of pustules emerge from his skin and can often be seen oozing small amounts of pus. He has two buck teeth on the front of his mouth that are wide, long, and for the most part overgrown, obvious when they scrape the ground when he moves. His other teeth in contrast are much smaller, but are jagged and sharp. For the most part, his teeth are usually chipped from its time nibbling away. Skatal’s eyes are slightly red, similar to that of pink eye rather than a complete color. Skatal will appear as malnourished if the world is relatively healthy, to fat to the point of immobility if a plague has conquered most of the world. It all depends on the situation.

Agenda: To Skatal, all forms of life, be it plant or animal, sentient or not, is a tool to practice his craft of disease-making. It continues to tinker with life, not to destroy it, but rather to torture it. It should not be mistaken that if life were to come under threat of destruction that it’ll fight to defend it. Of course, it does not mean he would care if mortals (or immortals) succumbed to his diseases and died, but rather if life as a whole was to be purely exterminated. Skatal seeks to find any way to annoy the other Gods or torment creatures for his own enjoyment. It will avoid direct confrontation unless it knows for a fact (or rather, is lead to believe) that it will win.

Description: Skatal is a trickster and a troublemaker, its pure malice masked under its childish nature. Combat, nor creation is Skatals area of expertise, but instead planning in order to maximize the efficiency of its capabilities. Often Skatal will roam the lands itself, preferring to see what creatures would do and feel, in order to understand who and what it is plaguing. To that point, it makes Skatal giddy when it imagines the suffering the beings would endure. Skatal, however, is cowardly, doing whatever it can to spare itself from even the smallest bit of harm and instead sending a disease in its way. Skatal is inconsistent as well in its work, sometimes designing a plague to quickly finish off a population, or instead destroying their crops in order to watch them starve to death. The emotion that comes from suffering is what gives Skatal joy and motivation to move on, and this is reflected in its work. It will never get bored of what it does, and as Skatal believes: As long as life exists, then so will sickness. Skatal usually doesn’t directly involve itself for long in the epidemic process, either directly infecting one with a contagious plague or giving it to a plague-bearing race of his creation, its vast as its own imagination. Worship of it is appreciated and taken seriously, as one would expect, worship (and knowledge) of Skatal would be largely unknown. The blessings of Skatal are wide in variety, although whether or not one could call them blessings at all, is up to debate.

Sample Creation: Plaguebearers, as Skatal called them itself, a sentient race made in his image both in appearance and personality. In contrast to their creator, the Plaguebearers are bipedal and are, by average, only slightly shorter than the size of an average adult man. These creatures forever burdened with the sick plagues that Skatal engineers, sometimes warped so far from being crippled to large, walking masses of pus. While they can set up communities, these are often done underground or within isolated, confined spaces, such as an abandoned house. They are rarely seen worshipping Skatal, for Skatal made them not to worship him through word, but rather through action. Following their name, Plaguebearers are fanatic to the point of suicidal, throwing themselves at a creature in order to diffuse the disease that causes them pain. However, Plaguebearers are weaker than the average man, and only make up for it in pure numbers. They are not very technologically advanced, instead living in terribly built dens that they have made out of the previously mentioned spaces.

God Name: Exitius, Lord of Chaos, Death and Destruction, Master of Catastrophes, God of Wrath, Immorality and Vice, He Who Few Worship But All Fear

Appearance: (Can be anything to a toga clad old man to a swirl of leaves.) The Lord of Chaos treads the earth in many forms, often taking possession of mortal races in such a violent manner that his host is usually rendered a vegetable, bleeding from ears and nose, by the time Exitius has finished with them.

Alternatively, the God of Wrath may tread the earth in the guise of his minions, or he may simply remain present but invisible, usually announcing his presence with terrible peaks of thunder, sheets of icy rain and wind cold enough to bite to the bone. Often the presence of Exitius without form speaks of the beginning  of a terrible Catastrophe waiting to befall the Mortals below.

The Lord of Death is most often associated with Serpents and Wolves, and the form he presents to most Gods is of a twisted, bipedal version of his favoured creatures.

None of these are the true form of the God, however, for when Ao created his Children, he understood the terrible nature of his Son, and trapped the Lord of Chaos in his Realm, able only to influence the world above subtlety, or to unleash his rage in catastrophic events that took centuries to gather the power for. Thus Exitius is but a projection of his cruel will, creating the need for possession, while his body is trapped.

Agenda: (How will you act in the world? What would you oppose in other gods?) To Exitius, life is but a plaything to satisfy his own amusement. He would gladly watch the mortals tear themselves asunder in terrible wars, sate their lust in narcotic and alcohol fuelled orgies or watch their screaming demises with amusement with glee when a particular people feel the need to experience his wrath. He has been known to even gently prod the heart and mind of a single mortal, in order to influence their life as it pleases him. Ultimately, he cares less about the other gods, and more about the methods with which he may twist their creations to fuel his terrible amusement. However, he does gain a perverse kind of pleasure from watching Skatal spread his plagues.

To this extent, the Lord of Chaos gives with one hand and takes with the other. He may deem it appropriate to twist an invention influenced by the God of Progress into something mere mortals will slaughter each other over, to bring about terrible disasters, to force individuals on the path of scandal, to foster disorder and divisions into the heart of a nation.

But he is not without generosity, and chosen mortals may find themselves blessed with extraordinary strength, charisma, intelligence or other such traits in order to lead the world on a path that will amuse Exitius.

Description: (Long-form description of your god’s nature, personality and vision for the world.) Exitius would gladly watch the mortals thrive for a thousand years, gently prodding civilisations onto certain paths, in order to have the pleasure of viewing a series of wars so cataclysmic that whole peoples are thrown back to the Stone Age.

As one would expect, the Lord of Death is easy to annoy and difficult to please, and mortals may find themselves dying horribly for simply using his name while he is in a state of agitation. His Chosen tend to come from a specific caste of mortals. As God of Vice, he approves of the little ones' debauchery. As such, children blessed by Exitius tend to be children born of whores who have liasons with particularly twisted customers, and the God of Immorality tends to force a path of events that will allow such a ***** to have a very comfortable life, simply for birthing one of the tools with which Exitius manipulates the world.

He has little vision, other than to watch the birth, the life and the death of the world, and to enjoy all the little events that twist in onwards.

However, he does have one, terrible, aching desire. To be free of the bonds cast upon him by his own Father, and to taste the whirlpool of emotions caused by the events of the world.

Sample Creation: (Could be anything to a law of nature, a place, race or a magical avatar of your will. This is just to jog your imagination.) The Realm of Exitius is a little described place, for describing the God of Wrath's home may potentially offend his sensibilities. It can, however, be likened to a prison.

Existing only in the Heavens, it is a Realm where only Gods desperate or brave enough to confront their Brother come. Prowled eternally by the minions of Exitius, twisted demons and the souls of the Chosen, given bodies anew, constantly battle with the monstrous guards placed by the Overgod to prevent his overzealous Son from breaking free.

The inner chamber is a place where only Exitius and Ao may dwell, and any audience sought with the Lord of Destruction may only make it so far, usually to be met by a twisted, bipedal wolf or serpent, the only physical embodiment of Exitius' spirit.

It is a place wracked by the tremors stemming from the thundering Rage of Exitius, where fire so hot and ice so cold that neither can extinguish the other twist and turn. Where molten lava boils around the few walkways formed or solid bedrock. The Realm of Exitius is, thus, a place of contradictions and of opposites, and it is both a home where the Lord of Chaos is most powerful, and a prison that dampens his will.

God Name: Dor’ah, God of the Wild and Civilized

Appearance: His appearence changes upon the seasons, his mood and varies between that of a wild humanoid and that of a civilized Godly figure.

Agenda: A God that which is contradictory in his nature, being one of both the Wild and Civilized worlds, relfecting his want and wish to defend both and see both prosper in their own ways. Keeping them seperate from each other but also to interact. Confusing many of his own worshippers with this goal, they may never come to understand it.

Description: His goal is to successfully maintain both the natural chaotic wilds of the world and the ordered structured civilized peoples, to be patron of both those who wish to live a simple life living off the land, and those who wish to build mighty civilizations, cities and temples in his name. Being somewhat contradictory some can percieve his message differently from the others, some may consider having the Wilds grow to an extent that leaves little civilization, some may percieve it as attempting to control the Wilds to see that it survives even if just barely. However his own vision demands balance between the both, one to keep the other in check. Though he will largely remain hands off outside of the will of a selected

Sample Creation: Dor’ah has created his own plane and populated it with his own creations to see that his vision might come to light and to spread it across multiple planes if possible. The realm itself is circular in its design, all its borders being surrounded by dense forest, bog and swamp that is filled with all manner of beast and monsters to deter entry, however it allows for one truely safe opening into it, safe being relative as it could easily become a battleground if need be. Within the realm Dor’ah’s will is at its most powerful, it would take much work for foreign influences and corruption to seep in, much more for it to go unnoticed. Towards the centre of this plane are open fields, flat grounds, hills and mountains, the first of which are fertile, and abundent in many resources.

The people he chose to create resemble his humanoid form, being Elfen in appearence with elongated ears and a natural beauty about them. However his creations are flawed and can be destroyed, manipulated by the forces around them. While long lived they are not immortal, perhaps being able to live three centuries at most. While many are devoted to the creator they can be suseptable to the influences of others over time or due to circumstances outside of their Creators control. This can be due to the detatchment their creator has on most but a small selected group of individuals of the race that he has created.

In terms of the interaction he chooses to have with the people he created he selects individuals mostly at random to reincarnate with powers such as foresight, hindsight and being able to percieve omens that he shows. Up to a dozen of them are selected at a time so that his will can be interpreted across all his realm, both the wild parts and the civilized.

God Name: The Maw - God of eternal hunger

Appearance: The Maw takes the appearance of a pitch black void, filled with razor sharp teeth, eternally gurgling and growling with hunger.

Agenda: The Maw desires one thing, and one thing alone....to devour all of existence. It cares not who feeds it, or what feeds it, only that it is fed. However, it is said that some dishes please it more then others...magical items of great importance, or persons of significance who are sacrificed to the Maw seem to placate the entity, if only for a fleeting moment. It's hunger is eternal, after all, and can never truly be sated...

Description: The Maw has long forgotten his name, subsumed by his own hunger that has driven the entity near to Maddness. It's personality is best described as primitive. It does not communicate in any verbal way and rarely chooses to appear before those who worship it, seeing no need to. Instead, it voices it's approval on a matter, if it's worshippers are ever so foolish enough to contact it, by filling them with a gnawing, painful hunger, so they may experience the ravenous desire that fills it every moment of it's existence.

Sample Creation: The Pit, as it is known to some, is a truly massive crater set upon the world. Seemingly bottomless, those who would dare to gaze into it's depths would see it stretching down into the depths of the earth, seemingly without end.

Legend speaks of how it came to the world, during the early days of creation. The Maw regurgitated a comet from it's depths, spewing it forth and hurling it towards the world. Over the weeks, it grew to be a baleful, glowering orb that crackled and spat above creation, turning night into day and driving the wildlife of the land mad with fear......for they should be. A corona of sickly green light came into focus around the comet as it grew ever closer, and fanciful observers even claimed that this new celestial body had mouth.

Finally, one sweltering night, the comet slammed into the heart of creation with such force and magnetude that it was felt on the other side of the world. All life around it boiled away in an instant; The raging, blinding firestorms that followed the comet's fall incinerated everything for miles around. Had there been any survivors left to peer into the massive crater left by the comet's descent, they would seen that the comet had not stopped on contact but instead burrowed deep into the heart of the world.

For days, nothing stirred around the chasm that would be known as the Pit. Soon, however, a sickly green miasma began to issue forth from the crater, slowly filling the lands surrounding it with a green haze. Any unfortunate creature who wandered into this haze found themselves...changed. They would find themselves filled with a gnawing hunger that would slowly increase the longer they stayed within. Those foolish enough to remain in the haze would find themselves totally lost to the Maddness of their hunger, unable to think, to feel, to care for much of anything beyond devouring the succulent flesh of any it stumbles across.

It is said that some poor souls are called to the Pit by the Maw, in order to feed it's eternal hunger. It is said they live in caves lining the uppermost portions of the Pit, their days spent in agony as they struggle to feed their own maddening hunger while satisfying their patron, least they find it's attentions upon them...

God Name: Vrynen, Guardian of all earthly creatures.

Appearance: The Guardian takes multiple forms, however the ones it uses the most is that of an Indrik. Which would be a deep gold and white, however, Vrynen is also known to take the forms of many different creatures, and beings. Ranging from deers, foxes, insects, and arachnids. It is also known to take forms of sentient creatures. The guardian is genderless, however, its voice would be that of a male and a female.

Agenda: Vrynen’s agenda will be to preserve and protect all earthly creatures on its realm, sentient or not. With this, it would most likely oppose any god trying to destroy that it has created, it will protect and form of life it sees.

Description: Many times Vyrnen has fought to protect its creatures. Many times those same creatures who it created cast him out as a false deity in favor of more destructive beings. However, Vyrnen still loves all of its animals. Whoever worships Vyrnen would be considered cultists of some kind. The deity demands that all worshipers must abandon their old ways and be fully devoted to protecting nature. As a reward, many of those mortals receive a boon. In the form of a magical transformation into whichever animal they choose. Vyrnen’s only goal is to maintain and protect its creatures.

Sample Creation: The Realm of Hyvern, a mystical land said to be populated by every type of creature. With endless resources and materials, this realm would be a paradise. Able to sustain all forms of life, it is also Vrynen’s personal realm. As it has direct control over it. Able to manipulate the weather, the geography, the creatures. How long the days are. This realm is also the destination of all those who serve it in life.
