Ghorza’s Boon

. . . Gug’ye, an’ mae Ghorza be wiff lat!

It was time to head for new lands. Merchanting in one area and peddling the same wares was a futile effort. Plus, though the Imperials enjoyed his company, Zrarly was needed in KRUGMAR to finally focus on writing like he was assigned to do.

With that thought, Zrarly hoisted his cart up—which was no easy feat considering its size—and began pulling it down the road. Giving goodbyes to all that he had seen before in Carolstadt as he passed. He both enjoyed and regretted that he abandoned his companion—a large reptile named Kwik—back at Cadlew. It was too late now, though, so he continued his grueling journey to the nearest goi(city).

The uruk thought very much on this journey; it was like a load had been lifted, both physically and mentally, once he departed Caroulstadt. He had been to many busy gois, but none quite like the capital of Man. One could learn much from this place, yet still have little knowledge of it. The people are to be complimented on their hospitality to guests, for although there had been issues at first they quite happily accepted a travelling merchant into the city.

Human courts were an odd thing, and a spectacular thing at the same time. It was a show of might at the least; hundreds would flock to the palace to plead to the Emperor, or even the prince. They had many issues to cover, some were more important than others… None the less the prince heard their issues and gave an adequate answer, only to move on to the next man and hear his case.

Yes, Zrarly had learned many a thing in the court and the tavern. Rumors, stories, and the way of life for a citizen of this nation. Some things he enjoyed more than what the Uzg had, and others not so much.

He headed for Belvitz, though, anyways. For as great as Caroulstadt had been, Ghorzas calls take priority over Zrarly’s own curiosity, and RAGUK’s orders were to be done. He headed for the great crossroads, one that may have a much more interesting history than the capital. There he would spend a few days, or maybe a month or two, before departing once again.

Shoulda gruk’d dat

Seems Zrarly’s stay was to be much shorter than anticipated. For he had done something that upset the Heartlanders- which only confused the ashen goblin but nonetheless he knew of the dangers that would come from him loitering. It was time to pack up, though sadly without  a single bit of coin exchanging hands.

The Adrians were alright; the mayor, whose name is Red, was an odd one with an even weirder accent. He seemed to be a merchant yet he could not understand blah very well—leading Zrarly to believe the man was a merchant who traded locally, not across Atlas like Zrarly. Zrarly knew, before arriving at the town, that it was to be an odd town compared to Carolstadt.

Its oddness came from its history; the Vrakai settled the crossroad first and through it have been the great power for much of early Atlas. Because of these mercenaries and beliefs that normally would be considered heretical are quite accepted here as long as one is respected enough.

Not only this but because of Belvitz fine placement it is a center of trade. From which Red has made a fortune off of before he ever became as prominent as he is now; actually one could say he earned his position because he displayed profound skill in merchanting.

None the less, it was time for Zrarly’s departure. He had learned much of an important city and has gained a story or two from it. So with that the goblin tightens his ropes, checks everything twice over, and hoists his cart up as he always does.

It was time to move on.
