Razorskarner (Clah’aih Horror)

The Razorskarner is a humanoid aberration discovered by natives in the forests of Axios, who named deemed it the Clah’aih Horror, a nightmarish beast that haunted them if they did bad deeds. Though, no documentation was made of this aberration until the Atlas era when a lone monster hunter spotted his beast in a dense forest under the darkness of night, he gave this nightmare the name of Razorskarner for it’s loud screech and for it’s sharp claws, teeth and feet.

Habitat:
These creatures often dwell in dense forests where they can be hidden well. They are nocturnal to be hidden by the blanket of night. Though, you can see them in the daylight feasting rarely.

Size:
They can range from either four feet in height to seven feet for alpha males. Women Razorskarner’s never go over five and half feet.

Diet:
Razorskarner’s are strictly carnivores who hunt during the night, they feast two times in a day, once in the daytime (using their kill from last night) and then once again in the nighttime with a fresh kill.

Temperament:
These creatures will always been aggressive to any foreign target. They are observable from a distance and if they are feasting they will continue to do so unless they feel like you will steal their prey. They will be relentless to kill their target.

Characteristic (Behavior, Reproduction, Gathering food):
These creatures will often hunt alone or with their child if they currently have one. They will always act aggressive towards other males, even their child when he comes of age. They are territorial creatures, and they will claim an area by putting a unique marking on the surrounding trees of their zone. Near the center of their area there will always be a cave in which the creatures live. They are excellent communicators to their own species, speaking by small clicks that come from the back of their throat.

It is very unknown on how the creatures reproduce, but they clearly do. Often times a loud skreel can be heard which is believed to be a mating call. Usually the female only stays around until the child birth before heading off, leaving the father to raise and teach the child until the child is ready is of age, at that point the once child heads off and often never encounters either parent again. This process is switched if the child is female, in which then the child goes with the mother instead of the father.

They gather food by hunting whatever meat they can find in their surrounding area, they have many flesh ripping tools and other abilities to easily subdue prey, they are very skilled hunters and often never fail to kill an animal target once they are locked on. They are able to spew a harsh poison from their mouth once a day that will harshly burn anyone that comes in contact with the vile liquid though in turn, it is painful for them to do this and it used as a last resort. They can also eject the spikes from their back outwards in small or large bursts, which will act like a shotgun blast and the tiny spikes will likely impale anyone in their path, depending on the distance, they can pierce through ferrum armor.

Origin:
The creatures are believed to have been aberrations of evil, created unnaturally or humans that evolved down a different path. Their origin is very unknown for the most part.

Weaknesses:
A major weakness of the bat is that daylight blinds the creatures immensely, though they are very intelligent and have a good memory, which is how they feast in the daylight. The relentless nature is debated whether to be a weakness or a strength but these creatures will stop at nothing to kill their target prey and their lust can often lead them into death. Aurum and anything holy will not burn the target, even though the beast is thought to be undead or evil. It is drawn to the color red, often.

Summary:
The creatures live via cave which are located in dense forests. They are prone to sunlight which will blind them. They are strictly carnivores. They are great communicators to other members of their species. Their heights range from 4ft. to 7ft. They have sharp claws on their hands and feet. Their teeth are razor sharp and would have no trouble biting through flesh. They are able to spew a harsh poison once a fight and can eject the spikes on their back like a porcupine.

LM approval required?
    No.

Redlines:
    Event team creature only.
-Blinded by sunlight the most, but man-made light is less of a disturbance to the creature though they still hate it.
-Their bones are often nearly exposed which leads to easy breaking by blunt force.
-They do not hunt with others often.
-Females are not as aggressive as males but will not hesitate to kill a target if threatened.

This Lore has been denied. This piece was unable to get a majority Y in the vote. The team was torn and I’ll state now I don’t mind if an ET uses this for one off events or the like, but if we’re going to be officially adding it to LotC’s canon, it should be fleshed out further. This seems like a random hunt creature that has a lot of different weapon capabilities (e.g. spitting poison) at its disposal, but doesn’t really have a purpose beyond that. I suggest expanding on what they do or giving them a more interesting purpose.
