yopplwasupxxx 5664 Share Posted March 15, 2019 Sir Tiberan and the Woman Dun, or simply called Sir Tiberan, is an old Highlander folk song from the early 1000s AH, where a knight is proposed to by an Adunian enchantress but ultimately refuses her because of her blood and beliefs. She offers him numerous gifts (reflecting the wishes of the Four Brothers to Iblees), though none entice him to abandon his faith. The main character is Sir Ulric Tiberan, a Haeseni folk-hero, though other versions can name different individuals (namely the old Raevir heroes Ljudimir ve Soivetsk or Bionn Lendus). --- SIR TIBERAN AND THE WOMAN DUN WRITTEN BY THE HAND OF STANIMAR VYRONOV TRANSLATED BY THE HAND OF HIEROMAR LUDOVAR THE ELDER, SSE PUBLISHED BY HIEROMAR LUDOVAR THE ELDER, SSE --- SIR TIBERAN AND THE WOMAN DUN [Narrator:] In the mountains and forests of Dun and man Where the spirits magick remained strong Sarai’s ilk saw upon the handsome caravan And wanted him in time lifelong In the dead of night she appeared to him Clad in dress and hair aflowered Her voice so sweet in ancient hymn And she spoke in words softly-heard [Enchantress:] Sir Tiberan, Sir Tiberan, will thou make your wife? For that, I offer thee love for life You may only answer ai or nie, If thou wish to or nie [Sir Tiberan:] Foul witch, thee think me a fool! Perhaps if thou was not of Dun blood But I see through the thin veil, ghoul For you are nothing more than pauper’s rudd Cunning troll, thee think me Harren! Flapman 625 Share Posted March 15, 2019 Lerald remembers hearing this song the first time he stepped into a tavern. He laughs as he remembers his grandfather claiming that his own grandfather actually knew Ulric Tiberan.
