Traits:

Spoiler

Appearances:

Seregons tend to range above six foot, though on rare chances there are those below this mark. Ikur Seregon, now Sullas, is a shining example of  this rarity and is a beloved previous Patriarch. A Seregon, depending upon which branch in Haelun'or is in question, can come in varying shades of silver, blondes, whites, and in one very specific sect ginger. Hair can be satin-y or curly, it just really depends! Eye color (typically) ranges in a variety of blue, green, and purple hues. Most will typically sport fair skin, but can range from a healthy porcelain to the beginnings of a sun kissed complexion but never darker than that.

Personality:

Seregon personalities vary only within a thin breadth. Characteristically, they are stern and disciplined. Absent are those who easily succumb to passions and whims. Thin though the variation may be, it is quite deep. Beneath the hardened exterior a given Seregon may be mischievous or straightforward -- or some combination depending on the time of day. Along with their preference to dutiful labor they are natural enemies of magic.  You may find a Seregon in the Eternal Library, in the fields or on the pulpit -- but never practicing magic..

Beliefs:

Spoiler

To a Seregon, there are four principles. State, Family, Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya and Fi'tayna, or Anti Magic. It is these four principles that set the basis for the pillars of a Seregon. How they rank them is up to the individual..

-= Physical Appearance =-

Spoiler

The Elibar'acal tend to have golden hair and blue eyes, and a small physique. While one may not notice the physique to begin with, many would see that the Elibar'acal become slimmer with age, some becoming dangerously thin. Their height rests at about 5'9-6'0 for females, and 6'0-6'4 for males.

Physically, they are generally very weak. Once in a while, exceptions emerge. An Elibar'acal may be born with silver hair. This is regarded as a sign of cunning for the Elibar'acal, and those who have silver/white hair have often followed this trend

-= Personality =-

Spoiler

In terms of personality, the Elibar'acal vary. However, the family itself is very strict, seating discipline and purity atop the agenda, liberal ideologies quickly crushed within the family. Strangely, though, they can be seen as very unorthodox. They can sometimes be found talking to themselves, they have very tight-knit bonds with friends and family, sometimes defending them past the point of logic.

They are indeed a strange family, but a successful one nonetheless.

-= History/Beliefs =-

Spoiler

When the High Elves first bathed in the golden pools, they inherited an incredible thirst for knowledge in the arcane arts. One family of High Elves, however, gained the opposite viewpoint. They saw magic as a weakness, a liability which would restrict one's true purpose in life. They were the Elibar'acals, the Golden Owls of the Elves. In secret, they developed their own magical abilities which would negate the power of the Arcane that their brothers and sisters were learning. It is here that one finds the strange flaw in Fi'hiiran'tanya. To defeat magic, the Elibar'acals created their own, one that left them weaker than most other High Elves.

At first, they kept it a secret. Rumors spread of the extensive family and their ability to defeat those who wielded the arcane, clerical, and druidic arts. They would keep to their towers, achieving no real feats in the years of Aegis. They merely perfected their art and their form, and married infrequently, and with strict requirements for allowing a mali'aheral into the family.

Upon returning to the city for a third time, the families apparent anti-magic abilities have been lost to them. Instead, the family devotes themselves to the upkeep of puritan ways, while still toting their blatant anti-magic beliefs. Those family members not present within the city can be found living a more nomadic lifestyle, travelling throughout the realm with the Elibar’acal caravan.

-= Etymology =-

Spoiler

Directly derived from Elvish, Elibar’acal translates to Golden Owl  in the common tongue

The Bloodline of the Telperions in Part.

II

History and Etymology

The history of the Telperions of the Silver Isles, as recorded from their re-emergence in late Atlas.

Spoiler

The Telperion family, known as the Telperions of the Silver Isles for their impact on the formative period of Fi’halen and the Haelun’or of early Arcas, is an intensely magical one. While sufficiently able in the arts of war, they are better known for their control over the Arcane – though Nivoren, son of Endiel, chose instead to become a Wind Elementalist.

Their name, a Common bastardization of Tilru’parion, means ‘Failure in Submitting’, or Defiant.

The modern history of the Telperion bloodline begins with the Fall of Okarn’thilln, and subsequently the Rise of the Silver Enclave. The record on their patriarch of the time is brief, perhaps by design - Delos Telperion served at a variety of positions, including Okarir’san, Okarir’tir, and Laurir, before suddenly retiring from his posts. He was known to have created the initial designs for Lareh’thilln, as well as having helped to orchestrate the Reimposition of Unity, the set of wars and proclamations that climaxed in the collapse of the Alderyni state, and the Haelun’orian intervention in the War of the Two Emperors. From that time in late Atlas and early Arcas in which the Telperion bloodline continually advocated for war against lesser races stems their reputation as hardline purists.

His daughter, Evelon, would become too an able Councillor of the Silver State, rising from humbled beginnings in the family disaster that would see Delos retreat from public life and his partner stricken from nearly all Haelun’orian records as an impure of the highest order.

Evelon went on to adopt the role of Okarir’nor before her twentieth summer, later advancing to Okarir’akaln and finally Okarir’leyuan - a position reinstated to the Silver Council by herself.

Traits

The defining characteristics of the Telperion bloodline, of which there are few.

Spoiler

The Telperions of the Silver Isles are distinguishable only by the electric-blue eyes that seem pervasive in their bloodline, made more apparent by the magical nature of their members. Generally white-haired or faintly blonde, there is little more to say on the family’s appearance.

By personality, the Telperions can be spotted for their overwhelming condescension towards lesser races, to the point one might call it hatred. It is said that the day one finds a Telperion speaking amicably with a Mali’ame is the same day in which Haelun’or will fall.

Uradir

“Ceru’onn Thilln”

The Uradirs are a venerable and storied bloodline, raised to the upper echelons of Mali’thill society through the influence and great success of Kalenz Uradir, who reigned as Sohaer for nearly two centuries, and further established through the efforts of Silir Uradir as Okarir’san.

They are a bloodline known for their ambition, drive, and sheer capability. This is well exemplified in modern times by the tenures of Muriel Uradir as Maelunir and Silvyr Uradir as Okarir’maehr, as well as Celiasil Uradir who still presides as the current Okarir’tir.

The Laurir of the Uradir Talonnii is Anethra Uradir, who has served previously as both Okarir’nor and Okarir’tanya of Haelun’or, and despite her eccentric and reclusive nature, can be credited largely for the resurgence of the family’s reputation and wealth. She is known to be a guiding force and steady hand steering the Uradir towards their ever more exalted future.

=Physical Traits=

Spoiler

The Uradir bloodline was once one distinguished, as many Mali’thill Talonnii, by a narrow set of traits. Namely blonde hair and eyes toned in shades of blue. However, with the passing of generations and the introduction of other lines into the family tree, these traits have grown more varied.

Uradir will always have at least one of these prior traits, either hair in some shade of blonde, or eyes in some bluish hue. Skin tones can range from quite pale to relatively tan. Two of the current known Uradir lines have some variation or potential variation from this norm.

Anethra Uradir’s line would have the potential to carry forward lustrous golden eyes or white hair.

Celiasil Uradir’s line would have the potential to carry forward fiery red hair sourced notably from the Aélèyelsa blood mixed within.

=Beliefs=

Spoiler

The Uradir have been known historically to be a Talonnii with strict and exacting views on purity. It is the belief of most Uradir that any trace of impurity must be eviscerated and erased with the utmost contempt. That Mali’ata are intolerable and are done a service through the merciless cleansing of their most despicable and unfavorable blood.

Beyond this hardline stance carried by a majority of the family, the Uradir are known for believing that action and accomplishment proves worth, that idle talk is worth nothing if not backed up by a combination of competency and proactivity. Those that make empty claims to greatness, or prove incompetent in duties or activities they have asserted proficiency in are greatly derided.

The Uradir are a pragmatic family, known for wasting little time on idealism or flights of fancy, and instead grounded in what is before them and supported by reality as it stands. They can be stubborn in their dedication to holding the line on what they see as truth, even if met with resistance or pushback for the stances they may take. As a portion of this belief in realism, wealth is regarded as an important asset and often sought, not for any sense of greed per say, but for the power and security that it provides.

Finally, unity is a theme held close by Uradir of the modern era. Though not known to be loyal to a fault, holding to the aforementioned pragmatism even if it is family that stands against them, there is a common understanding that they are stronger and better together than apart, and that through combined effort the family may reach greater heights.

=Etymology=

Spoiler

Uradir, in Elven, translates to Naysayer, a meaning that falls in line with the Uradir tendency to speak truth to power, standing up for what they believe to be right regardless of common opinion.

Ceru’onn Thilln, in Elven, translates to Might from Purity, a message reflective of the family’s strict stance upon the value of uncompromised purity, and by inference their belief in the costs of impurity.

The Asul’ailer Talonnii traces it lineage back to the realm of Asulon, descending from Juliet (Rosaria) Sullas and Aranwe Lazul. As a result of their marriage, Celaena Lazul was born, and later married Arlanthir Asul’ailer, son of Faenir and Adriana. Celaena and Arlanthir both lived actively in Haelun’or for some time; Arlanthir working as Councilman while Celaena ran an apothecary and practiced medicine. As a result of the Haelun’or schism in Asulon, Celaena and Arlanthir were forced to split from the Silver State. While living in Malinor, they birthed their sons Ceruberr and Saeldur.

Ceruberr was the first of the family to return to the path of purity in Lin’everal, advancing to Arch-Mage of the Mages Guild and holding an active influence within the community both as a previous Maheral, enactor of the Talonnii Act, and current Maulaurir. After the destruction of Anthos, Ceruberr convinced his brother Saeldur to leave his long held position as Archanix of the Mages Guild in order to become a citizen of Haelun’or and help progress the family; both Ceruberr and Saeldur have resided as citizens of the State since, both having served as Archmage, Oracles of the Celestial Order, and Court Wizards for various noble Valah lineages.

While the small Talonnii has only ever actively boasted the two mal’onn, both Ceruberr and Saeldur have a well recorded and deeply intrenched past in substantial arcane events and the turnings of the realms, studying magics few of the descendants have ever wielded and attempting to utilize their resourcefulness and knowledge for the betterment of Arcas and the protection of their kin.

Physical Traits & Beliefs:

Spoiler

In terms of physical appearance, common traits include pure platinum colored hair accompanied with radiant green or icy blue coloured eyes. Asul’ailer also exhibit pure Mali’thill traits such as a tall and lithe frames accompanied by fair and pale skin. Their builds have developed over time from a slightly more muscular physique to a more nimble form due to their scholarly and magical pursuits.

The Asul’ailer family has always differed in logic from many of the other Talonnii in Haelun’or, leaning towards a liberal ideology and politic due their primary focus on arcanic study and greater realm wide events. Despite these traits they continue to hold Larihei and her teachings in the highest regard, and seek to further their own knowledge and progress in a variety of fields. As a result, many of the Asul’ailer line have taken a considerable interest in the arcane, alchemy, and politics. The Asul’ailer family strongly values arcanic balance, the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya and the protection of Haelun’or, and are not afraid to take action to defend those they hold in high regard.

Final Family Tree.png

Etymology:

Spoiler

Asul’ailer, in Elven, directly translates in common to “Sun Wizard.” Ailer is an Elven Seed word meaning a powerful, exclusive brand of spellcaster, and with the Talonnii’s core directive of arcanic balance, the interpretation of light or the sun of a new day was added.

How do we get there? How did you get here, by the way?' [Will asked].
He heard Halt's deep sigh and knew he'd done it again.

'Do you ever,' the older Ranger said with great deliberation, 'manage to ask just one question at a time? Or does it always have to be multiple choice with you?'

Will looked at him in surprise. 'Do I do that?' he asked. 'Are you sure?'

Halt said nothing. He raised his hands in a 'See what I mean?' gesture...

'Halt,' [Selethen said], 'I could be wrong, but I think you were just guilty of the same fault. I'm sure I heard you ask two questions just then.'
'Thank you for pointing that out, Lord Selethen,' Halt said with icy formality.
