Wilven Sanctuary Monks

 

Who are the Wilven Sanctuary Monks? The Wilven Sanctuary Monks are the guides and teachers of lost souls in Arcas. Guides to those new to the realm, they wander from their home to the various nations of Arcas, showing the new souls around. With each new soul, they go over how the realm works, where to find help, and even who to talk to when they want to find a home. While not every soul may have the chance, it is their goal to help every soul they meet.

 

Duties of the Monks

 

The monks wander between Cloud Temple to the various towns and cities, showing new players where everything is and acting as their teacher. They are to walk with new players to each city, show them who to talk to in terms of gaining a home, and teach them the basics of our plugins.

 

Monk Protection

 

Due to being guides strictly for New players, Monks are given the Cloud Temple protection wherever they roam. They cannot be villainized, nor can they provoke any villainy. This protection covers new players upon their first guiding with a monk. This means, if a Monk is showing a new player around, neither can be villainized. The protective magic gives the aura of peace around them, rendering all villainous acts null, allowing them to pass by unharmed, to any nation.

 

Meet the Monks

Mother Monk Sarae

Sarae was born in Atlas and raised by Elphaba many years ago. Since she left the orcs, she had dedicated her time to being a guide to lost souls. While she still has her faith in the spirits, she has found it to be more honorable for her to help those who are lost. She stays closer to the lost orcs of Arcas, and helps them find their people. Although shy, she is very content being a monk and happy with her new life.

 

Muffin Monk Cecilia

Cecilia is a young dark elf who has found her place among the monks. She is a silent and stoic monk. With her clan long forgotten, her moral code and determination keep her working hard.

 

Aquatic Monk Avice

Avice is a wizened and utterly blind old woman. She has a kind and grandmotherly nature and tends to refer to people as ‘dear’ or ‘little one’ regardless of their age. Though she is blind, her other senses are acute, providing her with a good awareness of her surroundings. Monk Avice’s hobbies include baking, knitting and drinking tea and she often has a pair of woolly socks or a freshly baked cookies at hand to dole out to weary travellers or visitors to cloud temple.

 

Wholesome Monk Willowny

Willowny is a cheerful little monk, that finds beauty in everything along with her soon to be wife Monk Kelthor. She will often find people to be silly if they have distaste and will find ways to feed them like an Italian mom.

 

Pire Monk Varyn

Monk Varyn is among the sweetest monks personality wise, however keeping a stern attitude alongside their kindness, usually keeping a serious commentary with the new souls, he deals with. Monk Varyn uniquely is quite feminine in his action, usually acting more like your grandmother then your grandfather, calling most people “Dear” instead of their actual name unless requested otherwise. Monk Varyn has a soft spot for children, often wanting to go around telling stories of heroic figures of their culture.

 

Logger Monk Xuag

A calm and tall orc, with some braduk blood in his veins from long ago, this orc is solemn and stern, with purple eyes and clean white tusks extending from his jawline. he stands at 8 feet tall and has a very strong posture.

 

Mass Monk Alistair

While only a recent addition to the Wilven Sanctuary, Alistair is an enthusiastic and eager young man with a knack and passion for all forms of trickery and fun. His very nature is bell-bent on promoting a sense of wonderment through all living souls he comes to pass, imparting tips, tricks, and inspiring tales of legends who have now fallen to ash. Alistair is a capable young man, determined and ready to do what it takes to serve the Sanctuary in all the ways he can. He has a keen understanding of the world around him, making it his very duty to better understand what comes to pass so he may educate those around him. Competent, capable, and full of vigour, Alistair spends what little free time he has reading, cooking, and honing his crafts to better address knowledge to passers by. Alistair always has a smile on his face, and is well knowing in the ways of etiquette and manners.

 

Puff Monk Alaria

Alaria is quite young, 20 years in age, yet would appear to act much younger. She is constantly bright and positive, with an almost naïvely optimistic view on the world. Alaria would almost always be seen smiling, walking with an energetic and youthful spring in her step. She was educated quite well and raised into the Monks from a very young age, taking great pride and joy in assisting others ; whether that be teaching them, guiding and escorting them across the land, or simply telling stories to entertain them. You would expect to find her talking to people at city gates across the land, or simply lingering around the Cloud Temple, ready to provide food and knowledge, and to assist any travellers on their journeys.

 

Chaos Monk Tigermus

He is dressed in normal attire except the weird things about Tigremus is what he was before he became a monk. He found peace in the monk way when he stepped down from his life of banditry. Tigremus at that time was named Gregor, nothing more but a simple farmer's son. Tigremus knew what his monk name was when he started to bald.  Tigremus has green eyes what one could also point out to look like those of a tigre. Tigremus has a thick, light brown beard as well. Tigremus, after abandoning his bandit clan, acknowledged how much he hated to pick a side. He hated hurting people but he had picked his side with the bandit. He no longer wished to fight for someone. He is hoping he can simply live the rest of his life in peace with the Cloud Temple monks, telling stories of how to better their lives to the ones who listen.

 

Meteor Monk Evar

Evar is quite a tall elf, he loves to tell stories and joke around. He is quite happy-go-lucky and overall just a bubbly person no matter the situation.

 

Riza Monk Tohm

Tohm is an elderly business mogul who fixates himself around the local Cloud Temple auctioneers and bank. Some rumor that back in his prime he ran an outstanding tycoon, however due to retirement this is no longer!

 

Jenny Monk Vallei

An elder monk who has been around for ages. He is a general helper among the monks with a kind and caring nature.

 

Wolf Monk M’aiq

M'aiq was not always the bright, wise and cheery monk you might find aiding the lost souls, adventurers and travelers that roam the lands of Aos and Eos. At the beginning M'aiq was brought up by living off a human plantation, his masters mocked him by making him hunt for rodents around their state, this angered him deeply and left him wanting to make them pay for dishonoring him in such ways. He made his leave in the depth of night and started travelling around the roads, M'aiq decided to use the skills he learned from other slaves in the plantation to help him survive. Paolo a dark elf taught him how to trick simple minded folk with games of dice and cards, making it so M'aiq got some mina to spend on a place to sleep and some grub to fill his stomach. The charm he learned from Tonto, the Halfling, he used it to lure unsuspecting travelers into hearing his stories and over charging for the services he offered. His leadership he gained naturally as he fought for the rights of his fellow slaves against his masters, but one day M'aiq noticed it was not enough, he did not feel like he was doing what he was meant for, this is when he met the Wilven Sanctuary Monks, he did not need to spend much time trying to charm their minas out of their pockets before meeting the order that would become his life's work and his purpose in life.

 

M'aiq found his leadership, his charm, his generosity and his genuine interest to help others to make for useful personality traits for his new role and position in the Wilven Monks. He wishes to spread joy and peace around the world, seeking to bring the monk's ways into the lives of the outcast and oppressed.

 

Marble Monk Aron

A joyful, aged and calm  Wood Elven monk. With an extensive knowledge on the lands of Arcas, Aron is always ready to help those in need!

 

Rwko Monk Virve

Virve is a wood elf with a laid-back outlook on life despite their serious aura. Age has begun to wear on this leather-skinned elf, and the scars and thick eyebrows decorating their face do not help their grim resting expression. Virve's favorite free-time activities involve roaming nature, reading and singing, but they'll pass any of that up for the earthly pleasures of a good creamy salmon stew and a mug of cold ale.
