My Name is Alib Kerml Kemesh, a man whose heritage comes from a small Kalamite nomadic tribe in the deserts of Korvassa, and i shall recite my peoples history & culture throughout this book. The Kalamesh are a subrace of Farfolk-they have a complex history & culture, involving the quest for Knowledge, & become closer to their God, Bahyweh, their culture is heavily influenced by Bahyweh & his Prophets as they claim that they are Direct descent from his offspring. As of now their are no Nations or cities having Reshism (Kalamite Religion) as their official religion, and there most likley will be none, as the Kalamites live in small Nomadic tribes or in City Enclaves, only time itself shall tell. LANGUAGE & COMMON VOCABULARY Kalamite script (Greeting) Shallom – Peace be upon you Shabet – Hello Yevet – Goodbye Kalamite – Adjective for something Kalamesh Kalamesh – Kalamite collective noun Reshism - Kalamite Religion Resh – Someone who believes in Reshism Reshi – Collective noun for people that believe in Reshism Good Morning – Ashalm Good day – Washalm Good night – Yashalm Good – Shalm Us/We/Our – Mernet Thankyou – Shalmereyt You – Yemer Me/I – Falom Friend – Termet Mister/Miss – Merlam/Maslam Sword – Lagash Goy – Non Reshite/Kalamesh Im (em) – Adjective former Mitzvah – Kalamite party celebrating maturing Milah – Kalamite Party celebrating circumcision Temesh – Kalamite holy book HISTORY Enter Elysium during the 14th century, A man named Ja’qub Reshar sits in his home in a Oren city, he decides to take a walk across the outer skirts of the city walls, such then, a massive dust storm brings terror across the city, Ja’qub is blinded & he cant see, he sinks into the sand, waking up he finds himself in the middle of the shifting sands, he starts to Wander throughout the harsh desert searching for some, any, type of Shelter, though he found none, but he did see a Olive tree in a small grass patch in the desert, thirstily he took the olives & put them into his pocket & ate 2, suddenly the Olive tree’s branch fell for no apparent reason, Ja’qub investigated the branch & a group of text started to form onto the branch rapidly like flames, they said the Fundamental commandments of early Reshism, & that Ja’qub shall lead his issue & later offspring into glory-looking at this Ja’qub was amazed, it said that he must rename himself as “ja’besh” or he will stay in the desert for the rest of his life so he changed his name, finally he made his way back to the city while using the holy branch as a walking stick, he went back to his house to find his wife & children, they were greatly surprised to see him after around 2 months of absence, they gathered around they’re table as Ja’besh told them of recent events, they doubted him until he showed them his branch which inturn made him, and his family to follow these words & found a house in the name of them. Ja’qub called his neighbors & his family & they left the city, there were around 123 of them, these peoples were known as the Kalamites, they traveled throughout the desert searching for a good home for there peoples, until they hit a small oasis, Ja’qub had a feeling that this is the spot inwhich he shall found his kingdom, along with this he was writing a small book known as “The Book” or the “Temesh” featuring his talks with Bahyweh, and the commandments inwhich the Kalamites will follow for centuries on. Ja’qub in the Desert The Kalamites elected their first king, Ja’qub’s son, Noa, before this, the Kalamites lived in tents around their oasis for around 23 years until Ja’qub died of a scorpion bite. Noa, King of the Kalamites, founded a town-Jerdom-right next to the oasis on a rocky spot, it was made up of Mud Brick & only took around 7 years to make, it was a very small city aswell due to it being made up of just a small wall, a few houses & farms w/ a grainary, a tiny fort inwhich would house the Barracks & the king’s family, & the temple, which was in its early days, with each King passing, the temple would expand (please note this entire city was right next to the oasis). Noa founded the kingdom of Kalam after he finished the city, though this kingdom is rarely mentioned in the histories & they mostly kept to themselves as they were in the middle of a desert. After Noa came Bretim, after Bretim was Yervant, then Yamar, & Ja’besh II, after them came Temir, then Yamir, then Qualesh, then Uervanm, then finally Nahar. Aethera then came & the Kalamites migrated, they were then split due to a lack of resources & assimilated into the settlements founded around the world, as they did’nt have their temple, they converted their practice to the Temesh, whilst the other worlds came upon the Kalamites, they further split into several minorities & such until today, a large population of them live in Korvassa, & major cities in Arcas in small Enclaves. TRAITS .Most Kalamites have dark brown hair or black hair, along with this the average eyes are either brown, black, yellow, and rarley dark green, dark green eyes are mostly said to be a sign of being descended from Ja’qub as he had dark green eyes. Hair is mostly cut short or even being bald, though Woman’s hair is kept long (though not to long) For men body sized range from skinny to muscular, as i said before, it depends where they are in the world, for women body sizes are curved & their hair often uses forms of jewlery on it. It is a common misconception that Kalamites are usually great with money, which is half true, due to their intellect, they know how to handle money well, & since they live in small enclaves in cities, they need a good way of getting money while using their intellect, though they dont just choose jobs as bankers or accountants, alot find work in Music, arts, and some become mercinaries. RELIGION The Kalamites believe in Reshism, a Minor religion founded in Elysium by Ja’qub after he found a olive branch stating commandments sent by Bahyweh-they are Monotheistic & believe in 1 God named Bahyweh, there Culture & lifestyles are heavily influence by it. Originally they had a large temple inwhich the Kalamites would sacrifice a goat each friday to please Bahyweh, though this changed once the Ancestors migrated to different worlds inwhich creating the Kalamites to split & nolonger have a centralized society, which inturn made them resort to heavily putting their focus on the “Temesh”, the Temesh holds several stories & scriptures written throughout early Reshi era. The book holds the 6 Commandments aswell. There is a unique religious fashion followed by the Kalamites having scriptue being attached to the head in prayer. These Kalamite priest are wearing traditional clothing along with a “Lanet” which is a shawl worn as a head piece, & a Yemesh, a box worn/wrapped around the head holding scripture from the Temesh, or even the entire book. The 6 Commandments Spoiler The 6 Commandments 1) No Kalamite shall hurt one another 2) No Kalamite shall hurt another being in vain or in greed 3) Respect your Neighbor & love one another, along with this, pray to Bahyweh each day 4) No Kalamite shall commit Adultery 5) No Kalamite shall eat meat on Nephrim or on Fridays 6) No Kalamite shall worship no God but Bahyweh Society There is no central hierarchy in Kalamite society due to them living in a small enclaves of cities, though their religous officials do hold high power among them. FESTIVALS (1 week = 1 year) Nephrim Each year in Febuary-the Kalamites celebrate Nephrim inwhich you wouldn't eat any meat, and you would eat “Matesh”-a flat bread inwhich is unleavened, they do this to remember the day the temple was built. Tulan 443 Share Posted March 16, 2020 I see no problem with this, we have Muslim, Christian, and Norse mythology inspired religions/people, the fact people make a big deal out of this is silly. You get a +1 from me.
chaotikal 2236 Share Posted March 17, 2020 nice, though it could have been worded a bit better, you don’t need to explain it with IQ and such, kinda makes the culture less realistic and more shallow. otherwise, +1.
