[!] Depiction of a young Gloin being gifted his chariot by Belka.

Scrolls of old speack of old tales, one of them is the one of Gloin and the birth of agriculture. After the defeat of Khorvad at the hands of the brothers: Urguan, Krug, Malin, and Oren, a time of relative peace emerged. The occasional orc raid occurred, but nothing that could not be handled. Descendants kept having more and more children and the game in the wild started to diminish. This got so bad that many animals started to go extinct. The Tribunal eventually noticed this chaos in nature and decided to do something. They went to the young Gloin, one of the youngest sons of Urguan, but the one that seemed to care most of nature and those around him. Belka gifted the young Gloin with one of her chariots, with it he would be able to fly above the clouds like a bird. Dungrimm gave him magical chains with which he could bind any being to pull the chariot. Gloin enlisted the help of Wyrvun and Irem, both who accepted to be chained. Lastly Anbella taught Gloin her greatest secret: agriculture. With all these gifts Gloin traveled around the mortal planes teaching the descendants Anbella’s ways.

[!] Agriculture allowed for the children of Oren to prosper and become the largest race.

When Gloin taught a Prince of the sons of Malin, the arts of agriculture, the Prince refused to teach it to his people and then tried to murder Gloin so he could keep Anbella’s secret for himself. As punishment, Anbella turned the High elf Prince into an impure version of himself, cursing his descendants to the same fate. Through this curse the first dark elves were created. A group of warchiefs of orcish tribes also tried to kill Gloin. They were able to kill one of his drakes. The blood of the drake became the first oases of the deserts and it’s scales became the first cacti. Anbella in anger transformed the warchiefs in distorted versions of their monstrous  race. She made it so that the once proud warriors would be able to be controlled and ridden by the weakest of their kind. She transformed the strongest clans folk into Ologs and half of the other folk into goblins. This is how the subraces of the orcs originated.

[!] Depiction of one of the orphans Gloin found in his travels.

During his travels Gloin also gathered all the orphans he could find and took them with him. They helped him teach the other races and to keep the chariot clean and working. They were also great at entertaining him during long days. Because of the death of one of his drakes Gloin took longer to achieve his task than what was expected. It took him over 100 years to teach all the descendant races the secrets of Anbella. Once he was done he returned to his children in the forests. As a reward Anbella blessed Gloin and his descendants. She made it so his kin would be strong and able. She then blessed them further by covering them with henna from her own garden. This made the skin of the dwarves tanner and allowed them to withstand longer hours in the sunlight. Anbella also blessed the children Gloin gathered during his travels with eternal youth. These children would be placed in a small village where they would be watched over by Anbella. As a reminder of her gift to them Anbella also made them a doll with a pumpkin head. With his task completed and his reward granted Gloin liberated Wyrvun from the chariot and allowed him to return to Belka’s reign. It is said in the old legends that if one is in possession of Gloin’s chariot their crops will never fail.
