Welcome to The Jayamen Community Center Topic. At The Jayamen Community Center in Helena we offer many free activities, such as playing pianos, playing games, reading good books, hanging out with friends, reading poetry to the audience, and much more! 

 

I'll now go into deeper detail on each things you can do here. Go to the table of contents to get to what interests you easier.

Section 1
 

GAMES

 

 

Here you can currently play one of 5 games. those are 4 in a row (connect 4), Catapult, (mini battleship), Tic Tac Toe, Jumper (Mini checkers), and Seto (a card game). 

 

(( games are played in a double chest. ))
 

Come in while there is a staff member to play any of these free. to take a set home, please ask to buy a copy of any from staff. Prices and info are on the game store section. You can play these games on floor 1 and 2.

Section 2
 

PIANO

 

 

Here we play piano and also teach piano. lessons are free and using the piano is available with permission, and also free. For a list of songs, check out the piano shop section.
 

The Piano is at Basement level 2. if you want to set up your own piano and/or learn on your own, youll need to buy the piano guide in the shop on floor 3, which has everything you need to know about playing pianos and reading songbooks. We sell songbooks in the shop as well.

 

((Pianos are played with noteblocks, so you will be playing acual music.))

Note, if you have permission for the band room and abuse it, ((spam notes, etc.)) then you will lose permission.

BANDS AND CONCERTS

 

 

We welcome anyone who wants to make a band and/or perform here. Im willing to provide the needs for those things, like teaching, providing instruments, etc. All for free. ((Bands play actual music with noteblocks))

 

We will have a Center band that plays regularly for an audience. The instruments are on Basement level 2 and the audience room is on basement level 1.

 

If you want to join The Center Band, go to the volunteering section for positions.

We have some free books available to be read, just some that the Jayamens have wrote over the years, available on Floor 2.
 

For available books to buy for yourself, check the shop on floor 3. They will be listed in the Book shop section as well.

READINGS

 

 

Floors 1 and 2 also each have a podium, so if you want to bring a group to somewhere where someone has the spotlight and speaks to others, you are welcome to here. be it poetry readings, stories, meetings, etc. it is welcome. or with the people in the store’s permission, you can speak with those there as well.

We are open to volunteers helping out at the center. Volunteers work for free, but get a small cut of any tips or profits.

The Piano Store

 

Here we offer Pianos ((actually playable in-game, read for more info)) for sale and song books for sale. We currently have 4 different models for both the Grand Piano. The different models types are Regular, Bass, Pluck ((like a guitar)), bar ((like xylophone)),  Pluck two ((like a banjo)), and Wind((like a flute)). This refers to the kind of noise the pianos make. Grand Pianos come with free tuning for life, as well as A Piano guide book (The Piano Guide Book covers tuning it yourself and how to read songbooks).  We Can Deliver!

 

 

 

 

Grand Piano: 300 Minas (Free tuning for life! Just ask Zarion if you need your piano tuned. Also you get a free copy of the Piano Guide and everything that comes with it, listed below. (note you only get one Grand piano, not two.)

The Grand piano is basically 9 noteblocks in a 3x3. they are each tuned to 9 different notes that allow for simple songs to be played, such as the hobbit theme and the Jurassic park theme. It is easy to learn, even with no musical skill, though that helps. If you know music a bit, the noteblocks are tuned in C Major.  The Grand Pianos can come in the sounds of a piano, a bass guitar, a guitar, and a flute.) Grand pianos take up a 3x4x2 (3 wide, 4 deep, 2 high) For song books, you need to have read The Piano Guide book that is for sale in order to read the Grand Piano music and tune your Grand Piano.
