The gun sat on the viewing podium; a singular shaft of light piercing through the gloomy room. Its polished barrel glittered and varnished, wooden handle glistened in harmony with the tasteful – yet muted – marble stand.

Two men stood just beyond the light, so as not to taint the scene with their presence. They stalked around the weapon, gazing at every angle, seam, and screw. After a few minutes of silent contemplation they stood next to one-another and sighed.

“I love the barrel,” murmured Orchyd, “it’s so angular and sturdy. The way it just... melds into the rest of the shape is simply divine.”

Chrys Anthymym hummed in agreement and stroked the wispy edges of his long, thin mustache. “Yes yes, I agree. I must say, the revolver pattern was a stroke of blissful brilliance, dear. It lends such a nostalgic elegance to it.”

“Oh, stop it, darling.” Orchyd chortled; his towering white, powdered wig wriggling with every gesticulation of his head. “You’re the one who wanted the cocking handle on the outside! You practically handed the idea to me on a golden platter!”

“Golden...?” Chrys gave Orchyd an appraising look.

“I apologise. Gold is so nouveau riche; Platinum platter.”

“Not silver? Daring, Orchyd. Very daring.” Chrys laughed, and turned back to the illuminated firearm. “Yes I dare say this gun-“

“Tsk! Chrys!”

“I sincerely apologise dear. This piece truly is perfection. One of the finest examples we’ve ever created.”

The two stood in silence for several moments until Orchyd dramatically sighed.

“But...?”

Chrys huffed and marched up into the light. His long, floral poncho fluttered in the air as he threw up his hands.

“It’s so pedestrian, darling! It’s too perfect! Everyone makes things perfect nowadays! Where are the mistakes in its design? The flaws in its metalwork?! The humanity within the art? A scribing console might as well have fabricated it!” He blustered angrily at the weapon, glowering at it and cursing. “Damn that accursed symmetry! Damn its need for conformity! I hate this vile piece! Nay, I despise it!” He stamped his sandaled feet and pouted at his associate.

“I know, I know, darling.” Orchyd trotted next to him with a similar miserable face. “I just didn’t want to say anything. Symmetry is just not in like it was last week.”

The two stared at the gun, as if it exuded a foul smell.

“Well,” sighed Chrys. “To the furnace it goes, chum.”

“Right away, Chrys! I’ll inform the apprentices!” Orchyd clattered off, his clogs carrying him as quickly as they were able.

He burst from the darkened room and into a vast hall. His latex overalls squeaked as he ran, and the vast wig peppered powder upon the floor. All around him, younger men in similar dress plied their trades—painting, scribbling blueprints, sharpening blades and milling barrels. The Gallery of Fine Arms was bustling more than ever before, with each new weapon a greater masterpiece than the last. Art, as it turns out, was almost entirely absent in weapons manufacturing. Aesthetic and practical firearms were an even rarer sight. Such as it was, to have an obsessive and deeply pretentious art studio turn into a gunsmith resulted in some cultural oddities.

“Apprentices, darlings! Lend me your ears and eyes, I say!” Shouted Orchyd. The young artisans looked up from their work curiously, and Orchyd continued on after a few laboured breaths.

“Master Anthymym is coming through with a dangerously passé piece. Avert your eyes! You must not let its dowdy form tarnish your precious imagination!”

The students gasped and wailed in panic. Some ran to the farthest corners of the room, and others jumped behind their tables. The braver ones stayed in place and pulled their wigs over their heads and clammed their eyes shut. Soon enough everyone was blinded, and Chrys Anthymym quickly walked into the room.

As the footsteps grew closer, the students flinched, whimpered, and curled into balls. All but one, who, through sheer morbid curiosity, opened their tearful eyes for but a second. Orchyd spotted her immediately.

“Apprentice Lylyc!” Orchyd screeched, hurrying over to her as tears welled at the corner of her eyelids. “Did you see it?! Tell me at once, girl!”

In a shaky voice she uttered barely audibly, “Yes.”

“Have you been inspired?! By the mercy of the Masters, tell me you have not been inspired by such a vapid work!”

“I... I...” She stammered, breathing quickly. “... I have so many new ideas...”

“No, child!” Orchyd screamed. “You mustn’t let these frumpy thoughts litter you so!”

Orchid grasped the hems of his overalls, and revealed his clogged feet. He quickly pulled one of the platinum anklets from his leg and placed it before her eyes.

“Look at this, Lylyc! It is the utmost vogue this season! Look at it and forget what you saw!” He hugged the shaking apprentice, before rushing off after Chrys.

The two barreled into a hallway, roaring at any and all who might get in their way. Artists fled before the unfashionable display, praying they wouldn’t contract the same drabness. Finally, they arrived at the furnace room, where a number of serfs were tossing rubbish into the searing flames.

“Out of the way!” Bellowed Chrys, holding the gun by the barest of fingertips. “This is an emergency!”

The serfs collectively sighed and stood against the wall, while two grown men shrieked as they threw a perfectly functional artisanal pistol into the fire.

A normal Tuesday, all in all.

Grand Duchy of Alamar

Year 10,363 AE

“The snakes in the senate, I heard they’ve got to your boy.” Nathaniel would state to the Duke as the two of them oversee the repairs of the Ducal Palace on Alamar “I sent him there to learn, lessons are difficult, he’s illegitimate and needs to work to earn his place as heir. How he responds will determine his future place in this House and its future.” the Duke sternly responds to the grizzled mercenary.

“A little harsh Sev, all you had to do was survive a small war in the sector and you had me and my boys, doing the jobs your Ducal Guard couldn’t.” Nate says as he lights up a pantelas cigar, smoke filling the air around the two “I agree, I need a Crimson Horizon Officer, one who isn’t as crass as you and can act as his deputy in the Core.” the Duke responds by snatching the cigar from his subordinates mouth, putting it out against the wall “Not in my presence, Nate, I disdain tobacco.”

Nathaniel would look a little shocked and annoyed at his friend's action but responding to his request “I’ve got just the guy, he’s like the rest of us in my Company but he’s one of the few who got an education, fancish accent too, he’ll fit in well in the Core. I’ll even buy him a suit just so he fits in well with your boy.” finishing off with something of a sarcastic smirk, Dryden simply turning to once more look out the window and see the construction efforts “Good, good. I may have need of you if the snakes think they can come for me also, they are men without class and need to know the natural order of things.”

[8.000C, 4.000C] – Eight units of food, and the freighters needed to ship them, are hired from the Outer World Trading Company. [8 FREIGHTERS HIRED]

[25.000C] – A tax write-off from the Stantino family, for reasons unknown.

[MOD] – U L T R A – the infamous specialty of the Varan Crime Families, the constantly-changing colors of the gelatinous and weightless ULTRA is already enough to induce epilepsy in the particularly weak members of society – the fact that it’s one of the most potent hallucinogens in the galaxy, as well as it being as addictive as nicotine, doesn’t help its legality. Available both in liquid form and in nitro-gel! One Gina’s Favorite freighter, with an Imperial Unit of the infamous ULTRA aboard disguised as Materials, attempts to haul it to Inner Rim [E]!

[500C] – A freighter is hired to haul a unit of Exotic Goods to the Core. The Exotic Goods in question? A rather large quantity of preserved alien genitalia, used as moisturizer by some of the more...superstitious, Core aristocracy. [1 FREIGHTER HIRED]

[12.500C, 5M, 5NP] – Five Freighters are built on Serrano.

[5.000C, 2M, 1NP] – Another Gina’s Favorite is built on Serrano.

[5B, 25.000C] – Five more Raw Industry Centers are constructed on Santa Antonia.

[8P, 7M +4M, 9F, 31.000C][4 Imperial Influence] – Eastern Rim Trading Company is paid 1.200C for 4M, and 2.000C for the freighters to transfer them. Eastern Rim Trading Company is paid 10.800C for 9F, and 12.000C for the freighters to transfer them and an additional 15 units made up of 8P and 7 Varan M. This is collected and offered to Rear Admiral Taneti, to completely resupply his starving, stranded, and quite frankly forgotten fleet so long as he is willing to relocate to 45i. An additional 4 Imperial Influence is used to clear the transfer for Taneti and to put pressure on him and his superiors to do so, the basic argument being that having a squadron-in-being in the Eastern Outer Rim would reduce Aokigahara’s influence there, and make them look good too. Also, you know...they wouldn’t be starving and stranded in a useless system. [28 FREIGHTERS HIRED]

[MOD] All excess materials are given to Commodore Wetere, to...use, or ship off to other Imperial Squadrons, or something. [12P, 9B]

Kingdom of Orteau

KEEP TENIERT, ORTEAU SYSTEM, ORTEAU

Blain stood quietly in an alcove as his prince was married. Music thrummed through the air, a cacophony of grandiose notes which filled the Teniert ballroom and made the glass shake in the great vaulted ceiling. As duties to his masters went, this wasn’t the worst. As the most senior of their security he’d get the blame if anything went wrong, but it would take some nerve to try something here, in the very seat of Teniert power, surrounded by nobles and officers from a dozen systems. No, all Blain would have to do tonight would be to watch.

And watch he did. He watched the beautiful new princess, Lady Annabella Dryden, as she walked to her fiancee escorted by her brother. He watched the younger Lord Teniert, Alain, already two cups deep and cracking jokes to an even drunker naval captain and his pretty date. He watched the world-lords of Orteau, stoically arrayed in a line behind the prince. Why hadn’t Lord Ashweather come? It was none of Blain’s business. He watched.

He watched the musicians, watched the priests, watched the servants and the guests. He watched the youngest Teniert, Anna. That was all he ever did now. He hadn’t spoken to her in years, but he knew her better than most. With his augmentations he could see her face, but it was unreadable. What was she feeling? Had her thoughts of him changed? The last time they’d been together, she’d stopped hoping that she would get a day like this. But Anna was never one to let her own sadness get in the way of others happiness. Nobody would know how she felt, not unless they asked. Blain suspected nobody did anymore.

With a snort, he turned away. On Orteau, one remembered one’s place or ended up in the gutter. He knew his. He was a tool, a knife fashioned to kill, and he had been fashioned well. The sooner he fully accepted that, the easier his life would be. So Blain stood quietly, and watched. It wasn’t as if he could do anything else.

Every noble family of consequence within Orteau and most from the surrounding provinces are invited, and the Teniert brothers go to special effort to ensure proper accommodations and high-class companionship for Admiral Rewi and his staff.

The wedding itself takes place on the top floor of Keep Teniert, the vast skyscraper home of Orteau’s rulers. Naturally no expense is spared, and the ceremony is both preceded and followed by a massive reception spanning from garden balconies to a cavernous dining room, where guests are served intricately-prepared meals of pastry, meat and fruit, liberally interspersed with full chalices of wine. In the lower levels, the traditional beggar’s feast is possibly more extravagant, for here the Tenierts serve the exact same fare the nobles enjoy to a horde of commoners. For a brief time a procession of noblewomen visits these levels to dance with the peasants, but they of course leave before the gathering descends into complete drunkenness.

At the end of the evening, each guest is permitted to leave with a single bottle of their choice plucked directly from the massive Teniert wine cellar. Each guest, that is, except for one...

THIRD EMPIRE – THE DECLINE

10,363 AE

"I was born a miner's son. My father was in the deeps of Kaumai's mines, scrambling about in the dark for minerals, when the roof came down and he died, alone. I had twelve brothers and sisters. Eight of them I lost to sickness, starvation and poverty. Of my own sons, three lived long enough to be called men. Three were drafted, two were to die in the Empire's wars. I have one son, one child left to me, and I will not allow he or his own progeny to know the heartache I have felt, I will do everything in my power to prevent it, to bring about a new era, in which my grandchildren can live in peace, happiness and prosperity, without fear of their bellies sticking to their backbones, without fear of festering illness, without dear of having a rifle thrust into their hands, to be sent to die alone on some forsaken and wretched planet a hundred million kilometres away. I will sell my heart, body and soul to give them that chance, that hope for a better life."

-Porini Arapai, on election as Apīhi Avi

https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=RDdLQ8P3tQXDo&index=3&v=vHqtJH2f1Yk

---
EVENTS

Violence erupts in the Eastern Rim! The  system 23i, in particular sees elements of Aokigahara’s fleet attack infrastructure in the system while forces belonging to numerous rebel and criminal organisations skirmish with both each other as well as local police. Luckily, Stelllarch Kaihe is quick to crack down on the unrest, and it is largely quelled by year’s end.

---

With the death of Porini Arapai, and the subsequent ban on the unions, the power of the Populists largely collapses, and the Mercantilists swell in influence, being the primary instigators of their hated enemy's downfall. In the weeks that follow the brawl, many Populist Senators are cast out, now that they do not have the might of the unions standing behind them.

(Populists fall to 2 votes, Mercantilists rise to 7)

---

The class struggle is not, however, over! For weeks, riots and protests rage across the massive industrial planet of Kaumai, where the smog is so thick, a man can't see past his own roof. Across the Galaxy, these protests are common and violent, but on Kaumai they are particularly potent. The capital's masses, bitter and vengeful, unite behind a hard man. A man covered in horrific scars. A man who walks on one leg and one crude prosthetic, whose eyes are bionic replacements. A man who saw Buath and Vaka, and lived to tell the tale. The mob unite behind this man, and declare him their Apīhi Avi. The mob unite behind Kauri Arapai, Porini's last son.

---

On Ivana, Stellarch Netana holds out against increasingly poor odds. While the disruption Imperial Psykics were encountering seems to have finished, the renewed reports from Imperial resistance shows an increasingly dire situation. Netana has run out of ammunition for his heavy ordnance, and is swiftly running out of ammunition for his small arms. His last message is fairly simple - he requires significant relief within 3 months, or he will be forced to surrender in order to preserve the lives of his men.

---

Raids on Qahtanese shipping continues, and the food supply coming from the bountiful planet all but dries up. Construction on the great Qahtanese Driveyards, a massive project designed to allow the production of capital for even the most industrially backwards Stellarch, grinds to a halt as materials stop reaching the planet. The disruption is commonly blamed on Aokigahara.

---

As a result of piracy and Mercantilist trickery, the galactic food shortage this year is dire.

(Only 10 units are available from NPCs this year)

The Dominion of Badab

Vice-Admiral Akarana is delighted with the Tyrant's patriotic deed. Akarana agrees to move his fleet to 17E, glad of the opportunity for a ready and constant source of supply.

(+1 Influence with the War Hawks/Imperial Navy)

While the Dominion does not succeed in influencing the general unrest of the working class around the Galaxy, their grain file, combined with their handling of the situation, largely keeps the whole region peaceful, as the workers peacefully march for more rights, rather than fight for them.

Raetia

The sheer savagery and decisiveness of Martok's coup attracts the eyes of a strange kind of character. He comes before the Stellarch's court, and offers his services....

Despotate of Oberstein

The great surplus of food in the province, made freely available to the population does indeed curb PLF attempts at recruitment, and provincial agents destroy more than a few hideouts arresting many of the c*mmunists on the spot. The various criminal syndicates local leaders assist this effort, perhaps only because its also in their best interest as well..

The two corvettes escorting shipping are easily destroyed or captured by Aokigahara’s fleet, though the food shipments manage to escape their wrath.

Mandate of Vennendal

And so, another year passes, as Vennendal continues to expand its industries.

Province of Altaire

An apprentice within The Gallery of Fine Arms produces a piece of exquisite quality this year, a rifle as deadly and practical as it is tasteful!

House Matareka

Broken! Tyrone and Jamal, used to the point of utter exhaustion, give up their ranks and transfer to the surface of Buath as privates, to escape their 'queen'.

Grand Duchy of Alamar

Dryden's little club proves to be a major attraction among some members of the Senate. While the Republicans and the War Hawks gravitate towards Lord Teniert's residence, Dryden finds himself inundated with Mercantilists. The CEO of the OWTC, Tamatoa, often spends his evenings there, smoking cigars.

Kingdom of Orteau

A celebration to which there is no rival! The ceremony and resulting reception are the talk of the surrounding regions - including the Core, though Lord Ashweather's absence is openly commentated on. Notably, Lord Albert, an attendee, does not return to the Senate until well after the elections are over. (+1 Influence for Republicans OR Loyalists)

Though the Teniert's put on their great show for the peasants below, for the first time, the working class do not take it quite so well. Early on, Blain is called downstairs to put down a growing riot, and no noblewoman dares to go forth and dance amidst the angry masses.

Teniert's shipping finds itself totally destroyed this year.

The Dominion of Badab

Mahina Paewai walked through the crowded streets of Badab, notepad in her arm and her other hand empty as her cold blue eyes surveyed the street and the people walking in them. Though at the moment she did not have her official uniform on, people instinctively made a wide berth around her. Feeling strangely unsettled by the young looking woman. Who, despite her relatively short stature and generally pretty blonde features, seemed to bring a cold aura in the constantly warm and humid environment of Badab. In which a majority of the planet was still covered by excessive jungle, with only some parts of it being urbanized by cities, governmental building and the occasional fuel refinery. Billowing smoke in the air which was quickly turned into oxygen by the excessive plant life.

Her boots seemed to almost echo, even though the streets were crowded. And no one was eager to talk to her.
No one with any IQ in their brain that was.

Whilst halfway through surveying the streets, making excessive notes on the notepad she hear some whistling and saw a group of about 4 youngsters ranging from roughly 17-25 leaning against one of the buildings. Which happened to be a food manufacturer, dedicated to providing rations for naval personnel. Which had recently seen an increase of efficiency of about 12%

The young men themselves were not all that impressive. Seemed to be middle class, and seemed to be all pure human as well. All wearing sleeveless shirts and no caps or headgear at all. She immediately felt contempt as she saw them. She knew their type and it was not one she approved of. Generally speaking they were, inside of the Administration, called class F's. Which meant that they were avid pro-humans and felt that they should have better rights and jobs than those who had the Alfar-2 mutation. (Though almost everyone called it scales). Statistically speaking Class F's reported an average of 18% decreased workplace efficiency compared to all other classes. With classes being a term that was used by the Administration to classify people with certain behavioral patterns which impacted their workplace productivity depending on their interactions. Generally speaking, she disliked class F's and she rarely had to interact with them. As they rarely achieved high ranking positions.

She heard the oldest one, who she quickly identified as 24 based on his length and general build. Called out to her in a rough voice "Hey beautiful, do you have a free moment. Because you're sexy and I'd like to get close to you.” There were a few catcalls at that tremendously bad pickup line. Though, the more sensible people on the street silently agreed.

That was definitely a terrible pickup line.

She replied with a curt and icy.
"
No

The general common people on the street felt a shiver going up their spine as she spoke. Now veering even further away from the situation in the center. Even the three other members of the four man ***** started to look uncomfortable. But the oldest and clearly stupidest of the quartet didn't pick up any of the signs. Huffing and saying.
"
I just said you looked nice. Learn to take a compliment.

Mahina gave a withering glare at the boy and then just shook her head and decided to walk away. She then felt how a hand had clasped around her right wrist. And a frustrated immature voice saying. "
Don't turn your back on me !”
Almost immediately after she twisted around and in an almost methodical move tightened and twisted the arm of the offending youth and just as he cried out in pain  his vision flashed as he felt a harsh impact arrive on his face. He then faintly saw how the blonde haired, icy eyed woman grabbed a small handkerchief from her pocket and wiped of some blood and snot from her white gloves. As she did so she casually said.

"Under code B-43 of the Badab code of law. Relating to the physical injury  of harrasment what you just commited was a misdemeanor. Under subclause B-43-Delta I am allowed to phsyical defend myself against an assumed agressor.” She then turned her eyes on him,  and the young man finally felt goosbumps go up his spine as she spoke, almost as if making a promise.

"
I advise you to not continue your present line of action, or further reprecussions will occur.

And at that moment, Anakale gulped loudly as he heard the unspoken threat of pain and simply nodded.

Satisfied Mahina turned her back and continued walking up the street. All and all this encounter had cost one minute of her time. An uncomfortable delay in her schedule. She would have to speed up now which was quite unfortunate.
Her mind had already passed the incident just now and was just thinking about the effect it had on her right now.

Raetia

- 10364 AE -

Rapid armament and aggressive buildup was the agenda of Raetia. In the year since Martok has come to power, he has begun consolidating the basis said power was resting upon. The military complex. With generals and admirals on his side, because he promised vast investments into “their” forces, Martok also focused on cleaning house. With the secret police of Raetia and its many agents he continued the purge, extending it out from not only his own family which he culled quite substantially in all ruthlessness, but also other feudal and noble families, powerful merchants, everyone had to feel a gauss round obliterate their very bodies.

It is a bit as if new life has been instilled to the complacent planets of Raetia. There was an odd activity in the air, most notable on Korhal, where actual activity was present. With several industrial sectors being stamped out of the ground on the planet’s surface, but no end in sight. Already, in the newly constructed shipyards of the world, a new ship begins assembly, a cruiser, nothing remarkable perhaps, but still a dangerous ship to behold. On Tarsonis on the other hand, a whole new division of infantry is drafted from the (un)willing populace, with the weapons being shipped over from Korhal, coming from the newly established production hubs.

Grand Duchy of Alamar

Year 10,364 AE

“A trial? A Dryden on trial? To be honest, I never thought I’d see the day. Pretty ballsy to set up the son of a Stellarch.” Nathaniel says as he loiters around the Ducal Palace Library with Severus “I never thought they’d play that card so early but never mind that we have our own hand, I expect it's possible for my son to be found innocent but I don’t want to leave everything to chance.” the Duke responds as he pulls a book from the shelf “I’ll be heading to the core myself, you’ll be coming with me but we need to prepare something beforehand. Though we may not make it in time for the trial we must try.”

“I think I get your meaning Sev, the side business should be able to provide what we need for when we get there. Even if we’re too late we can get back at them, so it's a win-win.” the aging mercenary says with a smirk. “Good, make the preparations with the customs guards, these outsiders and interlopers will come to understand why the Dryden Family has held the gateway to the Core since it was found.” finishes the conversation with the sound of his book snapping shut, turning to once more face the window and look out at his vast holdings.

“They elected who?” – Darius Grayven XIII on hearing of the election of the new Arero.

Mateni high society is abuzz with the surprisingly sudden news of their representative in the Senate, Emer Rumari being appointed to the role of Arero. This is wonderful news for House of Rumari, a middling power contentedly lording over a barely productive agri-world at the end of an arm of hyperlanes. Senatorial representative has never been a role much sought after by the players of aristocratic politics, as it takes one far from the guile and games of the courts to an unfamiliar land where one’s exotic skin is no longer a sign of nobility but instead one of revulsion and mockery by the corefolk. “Senator” was more of a runner-up prize for political upstarts rather than a high honour. Certainly none ever expected a Mateni senator would make Arero, least of all a nobody like Emer Rumari! The political fortunes of this little House are changed over night and they are suddenly inundated with clientage requests, favourable marriage contracts and even invitations to offworld soirees! This is also somewhat of a revelatory moment for the Highborn themselves, with one of their garishly coloured number now acting as the Emperor’s Voice! Indeed, the only one not seeing the sunny side of this is the August Stellarch himself. Perhaps its just paranoia, but he has always been wary of little men getting too much power.

Work continues apace on the reinforcement of the Stellarchy’s border, with the prosperous frontier world of Akalon, the ancient homeworld of the House of Grayven before their ascendancy some 2000 years ago, seeing further investment in military infrastructure. To complement its new shield grid, the Grayven House Guard on the planet are significantly reinforced with new arms, equipment and vehicles. With the Empire’s western border likely to become volatile in the coming years, the Stellarchy’s only hyperlane to the loathsome Free Colonies must be fortified.

House Matareka

Imperial Takakasi Province

The War on Buath was one of pure misery and death. Every day when Lord Ihorange and his staff toured the front, new horrific sights greeted them. Tattered soldiers sitting in groups, quietly smoking. Very little energy was left in the troops, no games or pranks going on. Instead they fidgeted whenever a shell fired, or a dropship came shrieking down. Ihorange has done the best he could, but only so much could be achieved with no resounding victory. He glassed the Irik lines again, watching them move about. Every day the Imperial lines made sure to launch massive bombardments. It seemed to faze them little, but that was not the plan. The Lord and his staff quietly pray that the Irik do not notice what is going on literally beneath their feet.

In the personal estates of Matareka, the Seneschal has negated the worst of the famine. Even with the pirates and merchants, they could still import enough food from allies to stay full. The Province was now able to actually dedicate it’s resources to growth. And it would be planned to sky rocket in a five year model. A new fleet, army, and economy is drafted to be pushed through. Even now Lords across the realm are receiving stimulus packages to begin growing their industry. It will be a laborious process, but one that hopefully pays off.

The most important news is that of the Suffragette movement Lord Ihorangi started. Initially he just wanted to prove Women could fight and serve in the Imperial Army too. But as the years progressed it became clear many thought it not enough. Now on the private palace of the Matareka’s, notable women from across the galaxy are invited. Their goal now is to begin connections with women rights groups across the galaxy, and organize them under a central committee championed by Lord Matareka and his kin.

The top minds from the various Tech worlds of House Matareka are gathered at the capital. They are given the task of making faster engines for warships. Their goal is to not try and make something completely new. But instead to take the engines already there, and enhance them as much as possible. They will completely overhaul the Engine system for max efficiency – 1 E, 10k C
