The Betrayer Gloinar, who is by turns the friend and the enemy of the other exiled forest dwarves, had three fearfully hideous and strong children with the Olog Bluetusk. The first was the King of Savages Gordin, and the second was the Lord of Chains. The third was the great mage Lennin.

[!] Depiction of Gordin, King of Savages

The seers of the vanished forest dwarf tribes and clans had terrible forebodings concerning the fate of these three beings. They saw glimpses of what could be the future. Gordin would kill the Tribes of the coastal forest dwarves, the downfall of the last outpost that kept the Forest dwarves aware of each other’s existence, an event which would be largely brought about by the Lord of Chains campaign of enslaving the forest dwarves for the Ironborn. During these cataclysmic events, Lennin would burn Gloin Treebeard alive with his voidal magic.

In order to keep these things from happening, they threw Gordin into Uruk land in hopes he would be a whitewash for being a halfbreed. However, he was saved by a goat called Urll and eventually grew to rule over multiple uruk warbands. The Lord of Chains was sent to the Monks. Lennin, however, inspired too much fear in them for them to let him out from under their watchful eyes, so they raised him themselves. Only Rù Firebeard, the indefatigable upholder of law and honor among the Seers, dared to approach Lennin to feed him and take care of him. They grew close. Eventually Rù Firebeard taught him pyromancy.

Lennin’s magical power grew at an alarming rate, however, and soon the Seers decided that his stay with them had to be temporary. Knowing well how much devastation he would cause if he were allowed to roam free, the Seers attempted to bind him with various runic chains. They were able to gain the mage’s consent by telling him that these fetters were tests of his strength and power, and clapping and cheering when, with each new chain they presented him, he broke free with magic.

At last, the Seers sent a messenger down to the Cave dwarves, being the most skilled smiths in the mortal realms, were able to forge a chain whose strength couldn’t be equaled; it was wrought from the sound of a elfs footsteps, the beard of a lass, the roots of an ent, the breath of a drake, and the blood of a troll.

When the Seers presented Lennin with the chains, the wizard suspected trickery and refused to be bound with it unless one of the Seers would lay his or her hand on his as a pledge of good faith. None of the seers agreed, knowing that this would mean the burning of a hand and the breaking of an oath. At last, the brave Rù Firebeard, for the good of the dwarves, volunteered to fulfill the wizard's demand. And, sure enough, when Lennin discovered that he was unable to escape from the chains, he melted off Rù Firebeard hand.

The mage was then transported to some suitably lonely and desolate place. He was not heard from ever since. Many legends claim he will emerge again to aid Khorvad if all their Paragons are not found in time to stop the end of times for the dwedmar race. Nonetheless, Gloin Treebeard did burn in a fire at an old age.

As Kazrin read over the post, he wonders what the sages are smoking for their supposed visions. “damn they killed off the very founding father of an entire race in the second paragraph” He stroked his beard and shook his head.
