On the 10th of Snow’s Maiden, 1781, Grianne Goldhand of clan Goldhand would leave the comfort of the manor her husband, Mika Goldhand, made for the two in search of rabbit meat for their dinner.

She didn’t think to tell her husband or immediate family of her plans, instead just leaving Urguan.

That was the day she went missing. Not her husband, her family, her clan members, or her friends, have seen her since then. She just disappeared.

Grianne Goldhand of clan Goldhand is the daughter of previous Clan Father Hekkaes Goldhand, sister to previous Clan Father Ivar Goldhand, and niece of current Clan Father Uldraek Goldhand. She has been married for over thirty years to Sir Mika Goldhand, minister of peace and lord protector of Sutica. Their love gave them a single child called Lugh Goldhand who went missing on his 8th birthday soon after the beginning of the war between Orcs and Dwarves. Grianne is most known for being the female Dwarf kidnapped in front of the gates of Sutica, and was held in Krugmar for slavery, before being rescued by the Urguan Legion. This kick-starting the aforementioned war.

In her last moments, stood trembling before a mighty demonic beast, she could only think of her life. She reminisced on the short years she had with her only son. She silently wept over the loss of her brother and her father. And she found herself apologising for those who knew her, for not knowing of her fate. Especially to her husband.

Soon, the creatures single horn would penetrate the poor dwarfess’ body, and she would take a last breath not soon after. Her death may have not been a peaceful one, but, hey, what sort of dwarf dies outside of war?

Hekkaes Goldhand would be somewhere hidden among the realms of Arcas, sadly not knowing about the disappearance of his most beloved daughter.

Mika Goldhand sits alone in his chair, watching outwards through the window from his manor overseeing Urguan, a somber expression upon his face as he did not know where she had gone saying ”where are ye Grianne?” in a saddened tone as he had not seen her for days as he then looks back inside the now empty manor, devoid of all life but himself and the occasional visitor. whispering something to himself ”Please not again” as he’d shed a single tear, the tear rolling down to his chin, falling to the ground before Mika would clear up once more and move on to the rest of his day, hoping she’ll return.

Dhaen Grandaxe pauses harvesting wheat in the fields of Urguan and straightens up, raising a hand to her brow and glancing around the sun-soaked landscape. Surrounded by the gold of the celestial body above her and the foliage around her, Dhaen briefly recalled a golden-haired lass she had felt kinship towards.

Grianne Goldhand, a soul surrounded by tragedy that stood strong in the face of it, neither relenting nor letting herself become cold-hearted as many dwed tended towards. Dhaen had seen the warm love of a mother who had lost everything – her brother, her children, and her father – and admired her for still being able to open her heart to others. As a cloud passed overheard and the bright yellow of the field dimmed in shadow, Dhaen bent and returned to her work. She would continue to live, but tucked into the corner of her thoughts would always be the reminder to follow the actions of Grianne Goldhand, the dwarf with a heart of gold.

Nagorain would miss Grianne and remember the times when they travelled to Helena to insult longlegs for calling them 'short people'.
