Stomach of Fjarriagua

Appearance:

A descendant stomach frozen in ice.

 

Location:

Within a Fjarriagua.

 

Harvesting:

Gruesomely disemboweling the Witch and removing their stomach.

 

Raw Effect(s):

It feels cold to the touch, the ice around it never seeming to melt away unless directly put within a great amount of heat or flame. Has no mentionable effects otherwise.

 

Redlines:

- Must be obtained from a player character with an accepted Frost Witch CA.

- It’s just a frozen stomach. Don’t take no genius to not abuse a frozen stomach.

- In the event that Frost Witches are shelved, a regular frozen stomach would work all the same. 

 

 

 

Epiphyte Peels

Appearance:

Whatever color and texture the Epiphyte’s skin possesses.

 

Location:

On an Epiphyte’s body.

 

Harvesting:

Peeling the flesh off the Epiphyte, oftentimes with a potato peeler-like tool, or merely a scalpel.

 

Raw Effect(s):

Might taste like grass if consumed, as well as being slightly nauseating, though to little effect otherwise.

 

Redlines:

- Must be obtained from a player character with an accepted Epiphyte CA.

- It’s just plant skin. Don’t take no genius to not abuse plant skin.

 

 

 

Tusk of Orc

Appearance:

Curved tusks of those from Krug’s line, oftentimes worn and dirtied by sand and blood. 

 

Location:

Upon the face of an orc.

 

Harvesting:

Severing the tusk, causing intense pain though not much damage to the orc themselves beyond its loss.

 

Raw Effect(s):

Holds no raw effects of note.

 

Redlines:

- Must be harvested from an orc character.

- It’s just an orc tusk. Don’t take no genius to not abuse an orc tusk.

 


 

Old Man’s Fingers

Dwarfhorn

- Must be harvested from a dwarf character.

- It’s just a dwarf nose. Don’t take no genius to not abuse a nose.

 


 

Elf Ears

Halfling Toes

Azdrazi Scales

The ashen scales of an Azdrazi.

 

Location:

Upon an Azdrazi’s skin.

 

Harvesting:

Peeling the skin off the Azdrazi.

 

Raw Effect(s):

The scales are warm to the touch, but hold no other notable effects.

 

Redlines:

- The warmth given off by the scales is only upon touch and would cause no damage or pain.

- The scales offer no additional protection and would not make any effective armor.

- In the event that Azdrazi are shelved, lizard scales would suffice, albeit not warm.

- Must be obtained from a player character with an accepted Azdrazi CA.

- In the event that the Azdrazi perishes, the remnant ash will yield the same measurements.

 

 

Treant Bark

It looks like that of bark, bearing likeness to whatever treant it was taken from.

 

Location:

The outer 'flesh' of any seedling, spriggan, or ent.

 

Harvesting:

Often harvested by chiseling or prying it from the body of a treant.

 

Raw Effects:

It bears no notable raw effects.

 

Redlines:

- It's just bark. Don’t take no genius to not abuse bark.

- Must be obtained from a player character with an accepted Treant CA.

 

 

 

Musin Whiskers

Appearance:

Long, thin whiskers from a small musin.

 

Location:

On a musin’s face.

 

Harvesting:

Plucking them off the musin’s face. One whisker is equivalent to one measure.

 

Raw Effects:

N/A

 

Redlines:

- Must be obtained from a player character with an accepted Musin CA.

- In the event that Musin are shelved, a regular mouse's whiskers would not work.

- Musin only have about four full whiskers per. These regrow fully every IRL week.

 

 

 

 


 

Infernal Alchemy Amendment

This lore also means to amend the reagents listed in Infernal Alchemy. 

 

Upon reflection, the items added in said lore (similar to those added in the above addition) are very high risk to collect whilst offering nearly minimal reward (the same signs and symbols appearing on most plants in about the same quantities) and by extent little to no incentive for Alchemists to collect or use them.

To correct this, we intend to double the amount of symbols harvestable from Tongue of Wonk, Fist of Hou and Tail of Kha respectively, with a small edit being made to the original Infernal Alchemy post following this submission’s acceptance.

 

Purpose

The purpose of this piece is just to add more to alchemic monster hunter roleplay and allow more questionable paths taken by more zealous alchemists in order to acquire their desired signs and symbols, etc. It also seeks to tie in the aforementioned pieces closer to the world of LOTC via systems outlined in the Material Alphabet and Alchemy.
