Malin's Call Of Unity

Malin’s Call of Unity

Brother and sister Mali, once again we find ourselves at the crossroads of destiny and destruction. Amongst the last few decades we have seen many of our nations fall and few and far in between to rise and take its place. First the lands of Irrinor, and now the Renelian Hegemony have fallen victim to the splintering of our people that we have grown so used to within our hearts. Even within the bay of Aegrothond, the citadel has fallen to the decay of the salt laden breeze of the sea, only being supported by the woodland realm of Siramenor as its vassal.

And to only glance once to the south of Aegrothond do we see the true threat to not only the extinction of our people, but the races of this world and the places that we have come to call home on this continent we named Arcas. The growing hordes of demonic forces train ruthlessly to bring their blades down upon the necks and soul of our people. And yet we seem to falter and fall from rising to the occasion of quelling such a threat.  But this is merely a symptom of a greater illness within our communities.

The pain of our splintered people has been felt time and time again throughout the annals of history. Within our minds, we often tell ourselves and our individual peoples that the best for us is to develop as separate societies of Mali; however what history has proven to us is that through such course of action we put our individual communities above the greater whole of Elfdom. Because of this train of thought, we allow our brothers of other subraces to fall in decline from what their original dreams were for their people, when all along it was our duty to uplift each other and help the progression and development of each of our individual and separate cultures.

So I call forth to you, my brothers and sisters. The necessary urge of unity and fraternity arises in such times as these, with the hordes of Inferi to our south and the internal division that we feel. For in peace we find our egos grow amongst ourselves and our respected cultures… however in times of tribulation we find that the best hand that we are dealt is the one in which we stand together in unity and communion amongst one another. Such is the way it once was, and such is the way it is once again necessary to be.

Together once again, we shall dance amongst each other on the beaches, in the caves, and throughout the forests.

In Malin’s name, my kin, we rise again… stronger than before.

-Yours truly, Cyrus, the Mali’ker in humble service to the united mali people

Kairn Ithelanen nods his head, appearing contemplative of the written work penned by one of his councilors.

”Excellent.”

The token Mali’ker of the ‘ame nods slowly. He then regards a Qalasheen script upon his desk. ”Inshallah.”  The ‘ker promptly closed the book, deciding to spend several hours to stare at a lump of bronze and wonder where things went wrong.

Sonna Sirame read over the missive with a tilt of her head, thoroughly contemplating its words. She rolled up the paper, holding it tightly in her hands as she hurried off in the direction of the citadel.

OOC: Dope! Love the image you provided as well

Kalius Tresery reads over the missive, bobbing his head slightly as he considers the young elfs words.

”Ti, well said llir. It is only through clear, forward thinking that our people will be able to flourish once more. We must come together, in the names of the kin we have lost and the cities left to rot,” he says aloud, more or less to himself.

In the blackened night, an elf pours over this missive. His figure racks with growing sobs – tormented by memories of an older Dominion and a better time. He slides the scroll from his oak table and sets an empty canvas of papyrus over it instead. He begins to write.

Avius inhabits his usual, solitary haunt on the coast outside Siramenor, slashing and thrusting his slightly curved blade in drill. Having gotten word of the decree from faraway and thinking on it, he speaks to himself.

“Let the fury of our sundered age once again light the flame.”

Aldred screams and promises to join the inferi.

Albatross screams and promises to join the inferi.

Galar screams and promises to join the ongoing fight for equality and the erasure of negative racial stereotypes harmfully perpetuated by the various elven subraces throughout the centuries in the face of a common enemy who are sentient beings in their own right who deserve the full respect and empathy that any other member of a historically marginalized race is owed.

Kailu Kaeronin would stand next to a campfire in Sutica, he would hear out words being spoken out regarding to Call of unity, Kailu would remember about Dominion days and understand what they are talking about, Kailu would give out a smile and say it to himself "Well, this is going to be interesting!” give a nod  before heading off.

“Once more will the Light shine upon our kind.”

A lone ‘Berun muttered, his tone placid – reveled in honor, a glimmer of hope attained upon his indifferent features. Thus, does his digits rhythmically tap amidst his table. His gaze, stalwart and unyielding, as it peered onward – unwavering and stoic as the veil had masked his visage once more.

A dark elf somewhere rolls her eyes after reading the letter. “Here we go again...”

A wood elf somewhere also rolls her eyes after having someone read the letter out for her. “Here we go again...”

A Mali’Fenn looks over the missive, crumbling it in his hands, looking around and realizing he was surrounded by Valah. ”This will be fun. You know my people were isolationists for a reason. Countless wars and massacres. And now it’s just going to happen all over again. Malin’s days are over. Our people are meant to be separate, anything else will simply lead to death and destruction on a scale not even the sons of Krug can match.”

After a moment the young ‘Fenn decides to bring it to someone who can laugh at it with him.

The Fennic female looks over the missive before crumpling it up with a snort. She tosses it into the fire, shaking her head.

So funny that they watched her people wither away and only now reaches out their hands in self-proclaimed unity. The audacity.

She smothers the ashes and any remaining bits of paper before picking up her things and journeying on.

Somewhere, a Mali’fenn gets a hold of this and reads in silence, her fellow ‘fenn waiting for her reaction... To this, she simply begins to loudly laugh, barely holding her tears of laughter before throwing the paper to the fire and walking off... Laughing...

“They’re going to make me be a mali’ker again.” Nerrin commented with a snort, before he slid his copy away in a draw,

“We’ll see what all really comes of that.”
