Nodes

[+] Sugarcane has been added to Eastfleet.

[~] The amount of resource nodes for basic building blocks has been greatly increased.

[!] If you feel as if a basic resource is still too hard to get, please shoot me a DM on Discord.

 

Added Hunting
[+] Added hunting mobs spawn in certain tiles. These tiles each have five ‘spawner nodes’, which will attempt to spawn a group of mobs every 5 seconds. If successful, nearby players will receive a text and audio cue, and the node will be placed on cooldown for 10-30 minutes.
[+] For tiles with the ranching improvement, three groups are spawned instead of one.
[+] Boars are currently the only configured mob, they have a chance to drop Tough Hide, which can be used to craft Hardened Leather. This drop chance increases with the tier of your weapon.

[+] By default, Boars are passive mobs, but if you attack one, watch out, as the whole drove will be after you!
[+] Boars have a chance to deal Stun Damage. This is reduced with certain armors.

[!] Bring gear and friends, these mobs hit hard!
[!] We will be looking for feedback on Boar spawning and attributes in the coming week, please join the Tech Discord to give feedback in #vortex-suggestions.

Major Overhaul to Textile Bench
[~] The interface has been completely redone to be more user-friendly.
[~] Unavailable items will now show more helpful tooltips
[~] Selected items will now show a glow effect rather than becoming an emerald
[~] All clothing recipes have been redone, with profession and tier-specific naming schemes and colors.
[~] Start-tier clothing recipes now required fleece instead of cotton.

[-] Remove clothing for unimplemented professions until they are ready.
[!] Similar reworks will come to other workstations moving forward.

 

Ranching
[+] Added a ‘vortex-ranching’ WorldGuard flag to designate the tile-improvement.
[+] On high-load, mobs can be put on a lead to temporarily re-enable AI.
[+] Added a lead recipe that is similar to vanilla, though uses copper instead of smile.
[+] Added fleece, which can be gotten by shearing sheep and spun at the Spinning Wheel.

[~] A dupe-glitch with breeding materials was fixed.
[-] Leather drops have been removed, but animal hide drops have been increased. Four hide can be crafted into one leather at the Workbench.

 

Fishing
[+] Added proper fishing loot tables for each of the respective fishing flags.
[~] The fishing pole recipe has been made available.

[~] Modified rarity of various fish in the fish registry
[!] Different biomes give you different fish (based on the main biome in a tile), fish-around to figure out which!

Default Workstation

 

Miscellaneous Fixes
[+] Durability will now work correctly for weapons and armor. Any weapons or armor crafted before this patch will update on your first use.
[+] Coal blocks are now craftable, however they can not be uncrafted back into coal.
[+] Added more item internal item modeling to allow for custom texturing of Vortex items.

[+] The Loom, Stonecutter, and Blast Furnace, when crafted using Vanilla recipes, will no-longer automatically convert to Textile Benches, Sawmills, and Alloy Furnaces. If anybody finds their Vortex workstations converting into their vanilla counterparts, please make a bug report.
[~] Durability mapping to MC durability will now round-up to be better represent Vortex durability
[~] Many under-the-hood improvements have been made.
[~] Modified descriptions of various fish in the fish registry.
[~] Reworked item names and descriptions for upper Alum variants.
[~] Added various flavour-text to resources.
[~] Needles will no longer till ground.
[~] Improved several periodic tasks to improve performance.
[~] All Vortex recipes that use the vanilla crafting bench should now show up in the Recipe Book.

[~] The Book recipe has been made three paper, removing the leather requirement.

[~] The Writable Book recipe has been made one book and one feather, removing the black dye requirement.

 

Known Issues/Features to be Fixed
[#] ItemEdit doesn’t allow tools or weapons to be edited
[#] Gold and Iron nuggets cannot be crafted
