INTRODUCTION

By the Grace of his Holiest, High Pointiff James II; Established in 1800, the Bishopric of Hyspia is a subordinate diocese to the Prince-Archbishopric of Albarosa, and is currently shepherded by Bishop Pelagius de Savin of Hyspia. This diocese is catered to, populated by & sustained through the Hyspian people: a formerly Sutican minority with a distinct culture, similar to the Santegians of old, developing into a unique identity we now consider ‘Hyspian’.

FOUNDING STORY

HISTORIA FUNDACIONAL

Father Adelric of Reinmar had contacted the Prince-Archbishop in 1798 regarding the Hyspian situation: where a Canonist majority was oppressed by a heretical Baron within the nation of Sutica. He and Cardinal Albarosa assembled a delegation consisting of themselves, Cardinal Ailred Reinmar & Father Pelagius: in hopes to petition the Sutican nation leader on behalf of the Hyspians.

From this gesture grew a more intimate bond between Hyspians & the Holy Canonist Church: who seemed to be the only human institution that cared about their fate and progress as a society. When the delegation returned to their respective dioceses, having negotiated successfully with the reasonable Sutican leader: the Prince-Archbishop left behind his most trusted advisor, Father Pelagius, to lay the foundations for a Hyspian diocese.

With cooperation from the local clergy and Hyspian leader, Father Pelagius managed to establish a proper congregation that diligently partook in the worship of Canonist. Together with Father Pelagius, Cardinal Ailred Reinmar & Prince Antonio Rivera: the Prince-Archbishop petitioned His Holiness James II to proclaim Hyspia a diocese, and appoint Father Pelagius as its first Bishop.

Such happened in 1800, when Bishop Pelagius ascended to shepherd the new Bishopric of Hyspia towards its greatest divine potential.

SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH REINMARIAN CLERGY

RELACIÓN ESPECIAL CON EL CLERO REINMARIO

While culturally and ecclesiastically more aligned with the Prince-Archbishop of Albarosa, both the Hyspian clergy & civilians find themselves particularly fond of the Reinmarian Clergy under the Archdiocese of Jorenus.

This intimate relationship transcends their differences in geography, culture & ecclesiastical alignment. Father Adelric of Reinmar is seen as the original messenger that brought GOD’s institution to Hyspia, and his relatives such as Chaplain Alfred or Cardinal Ailred had laid the groundwork for the Albarosan clergy to lobby and then ecclesiastically integrate them. Without them, the Prince-Archbishop would’ve never known about the Hyspian fate, and in turn, neither would His Holiness have known to care.

Prince Antonio Rivera granted the entirety of the Reinmarian clergy honorary Hyspian citizenship, and have instructed Bishop Pelagius to enshrine their contribution in the Diocesan seat & history of Hyspia.

"God bless the Hyspian people." Laurence smirks out of his window, looking down on the cutely dressed figurines chatting with his clergy. He would look behind him: the newly hanged blue & red Hyspian banner hanging proudly alongside that of his Albarosa. "Another branch of the Rosebush blossoms."

Brandt Barclay smiles as he sees Adelric's work come to fruition "Gutt work Sohn" he pats the young priest on the shoulder before crossing the lorraine and praising Saint Tylos. The Barclay then goes back to the Hypsian people with his skilled squire Alric var Ruthern to offer some of the populance lessons in swordfighting.

Cardinal St. Julia would smile proudly as he looked upon the announcement of the Bishopric, soon sending a letter of congratulations, along with a few gifts, to the newly made Bishop of Hyspia, a man he had ordained and worked alongside for many years in his own Metropolitanate of Helena, now Archdiocese of Godvinus.

"Communicate with your liege" Mika Uialben states with a huff as he looks over the copy "Almost seems like the church is invading sutican land at this point. i won't care if it is communicated with me, but don't make decisions outside of me when these matters are Sutican."

The young Hyspian prince smiles at his copy of the paper. He then looks down upon the streets at his fellow Hyspians at work "Viva a Hyspia!"

"Keep Canonism out of Sutica. Your stupid human religion has no place there," uttered a disgruntled Mali'ame.

"Godan bless the good work of cousin Adelric," Nicolas would whisper into the cold night air. "May Your light be brought to all the dark places of this world, and may I be prepared to defend that light when the evil or ignorant strike against it."

The one and rightful Canonist Trade King of Sutica knelt, tracing the Lorraine across his cuirass; thanking the Almighty Creator for sparing him from Elfen malaria and brainrot during his tenure - for he at least knew what a diocese was.

The Secretariat of the Mother Church, upon being informed of the outcry from neighboring Suticans to the adoption of Canonism in the state of Hyspia, expulsed but a mere guffaw. "To think," she drawled to a younger nun, after having suffered a brief spell of incoherent, frustrated delusion, "those who practice idolatry and debauchery, and seem to so fervently deny the truth of GOD, shun it in a state that is not even theirs."
