Regarding the State of the Republic

Though demagogic Diarchists are attempting to incite conflict, this transfer of power is sanctioned by the preceding Malaurir Sullas, and is merely a continuation of the Republic despite its apparent abruptness. The office of the Sohaer is now vacant and pending election as a result of myself being Maheral. Elhieal’thilln still is, and its elected Okariran will not be undermined. On the contrary, it is our collective aim to see power more firmly vested in the Silver Council, as opposed to concentrated in the Maheral through new checks and balances. This will enable the Republic to function more efficiently and democratically as a political entity, while preserving the ancient role of the Maheral as the interpretive authority on the Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. There will be a public assembly this Elven week to further discuss the ongoings of state, but in the interim any pressing inquiries about the current happenings can be directed to any Okariran, the Maelunir Laurir Uradir, or myself.

 

To further the aim of transparency in the current circumstance of uncertainty, the following are the collective intentions of Elhieal’thilln over the coming Elven days and weeks:

• The consolidation of the Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya 
  • Missives issued on the nature of the Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, and lectures in San’evarir detailing its history and varied interpretations. The fundament of our culture cannot be forgotten.
• The structural modernization of the Republic
  • A refining of the electoral process to establish fairer and more decisive elections, as well as amending the constitution to update archaic legislation, to the end of a more consistent application of the Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya and functionally efficient Republic.
• The advancement of meritocracy
  • Politics is the domain of all mali’thill, and should not be relegated to those bearing a more prestigious talonii. Political advancement should be based solely on merit; new bureaucratic institutions will be instated to enable a clearer path to a gubernatorial career.
• The advancement of new educational policies, and the formal opening of San’evarir. 
  • A sharp mind is necessary if Haelun’or is to pursue maehr’sae. Under the office of the Okarir’maehr the new San’evarir complex, housing our Eternal College and Library, will be formally opened. There will be lectures and courses structured to teach new citizens and oem’ii of Mali’thill culture and history, as well as a plethora of higher academic pursuits, alongside the arcane.
• Renewal of the Hieal’tuva
  • The Hieal’tuva, the public council of all first-class citizens over the age of fifty, shall be given new attention. The Hieal'lauriran, the council of Laurirs, shall also be given a role. Regularly scheduled public assemblies will be arranged in order to have a formal outlet for interaction between the citizen electorate and the elected Okariran.
• Renewed debate around the Azdrazi issue, following the Sulii’ceru announcement.
  • Following the Sulii’ceru announcement and the Elven months of raised concerns, the Azdrazi issue must be given new attention. It will be resolved in the Silver way with public and rational discussion.
