Owyn's 11 Inculpations

Publius

A response is tacked underneath the missive, and sent throughout the lands of the Faithful.

Cyril Cardinal St. Publius can read the Law, but he fails to comprehend the Law. If he did, he would understand that "no appeal is allowed against a legitimate decree or judgement by the High Pontiff; it is the word of GOD."

His Eminence could, by his right as a member of the College of Cardinals, call for a vote of rebuke against the High Pontiff. Ask yourself why he fails to do so. Because he knows that the Cardinals, relying upon their faith and Communion with the Almighty, would reject Cardinal St. Publius' petition.

As it stands, the Cardinal's challenge here utterly fails on its face as the Judge in an Ecclesiastical Trial must be the superior of the cleric and the only superior to the High Pontiff is God, who has not acted to judge the High Pontiff on this earth.

Cardinal St. Publius knows all of this, but seeks to rile you up in anger when a Cleric is required to foster peace and justice in accordance with the laws of the Church. But this isn't peace, nor is it justice. It is the actions of one trying to raise up a mob. It is the actions of someone who would threaten the life of the High Pontiff. It is the actions of one who has yet to speak out against the attackers of the High Pontiff. Ask yourself why.

Instead, I offer you, the Faithful, the option of peace. Our High Pontiff has been duly elected by the Cardinals chosen by James II. Our High Pontiff has graciously allowed Cardinal St. Publius to keep his office, despite his repeated irreverence and disobedience. Our High Pontiff has not been rebuked by the College. Indeed the College has not even been asked to vote on such, due to its clear absurdity. The time for superlative rantings is over. It is time for peace.

Holy Sir Nicolas
