As rumors wound their way north, The High Keeper marked the events in her ledger under the category labeled 'Events of Arcane Concern'. "Something to watch for at the very least."

Charlotte Augusta would feel the rumble beneath the ground as the meteor made impact, though she remained far-off in Rosebud House. Only later did she hear of the true event from her mother, the Countess of Aldersberg, which struck fear in her young teenaged heart. If they would dare strike at the throne room, where else might they hurl one of their fiery spheres of death next?

His Imperial Majesty, being fortunate enough to have avoided the calamity, partakes in a survey of the damages with the Surveyor-General.

"Lo, an omen from High Heaven! We ourselves know, George, what a cabal of decadence and pomp the Court of Augustine contains within her.

"But this was our favored seat... austere in furnishings, and absent those ugly bleachers which majesty is so inclined with which to surround itself, that its onlookers may not only have a chance to gawk, but have the comfort to sit while doing so.

"Could these violent sorcerers, conspiring magicians, not have chosen that marble chamber not one-hundred yards hence? Truly, we'd have had the greatest of causes to reason with our anti-clerical architects, that its centerpiece were designed for use by altar, and not for occupation by a mighty throne!"

The septuagenarian's harangue completed, he placed his hands to his head. Thereafter he was seen snapping his fingers at Lieutenant Sergei Othaman, commanding that the Sarkozy Ministry be assembled and President Aubert be recalled.

Franz watches the explosion of the Augustine Palace from his window in central Providence. He turns over in his bed, pulling the sheets over his head and he closes his eyes again.

"I guess now's a better time than ever to use that week of paid vacation."

An eloquent response is crafted as the staff of Alderwoman Edith Hope rush in this missive to her office as she pens the following response to the Imperial Emperor and his family.

     “
In response to the recent terrorist attack upon Emperor Joseph II. We do condemn the attack upon our great Empire. We will never back down, we will fight on against these terrorists. They will remember this day as the day they chose their deaths! Onwards to victory over these cowardly cultists! May they fall by the might of the Holy Oren Empire. Our campaign will assist the Imperial Family in anyway after this whether through rebuilding efforts, finding the cultists or just creating a safer environment for the Emperor. God bless you Emperor Joseph II and may he keep you safe from these wicked people.”

Signed Alderwoman Edith Hope. Candidate for Lady Mayor of Providence 1806

A Basrid - who had messed with some holy painting in the palace, just a day before the comet crashed - began to sweat nervously as he glanced to his friend Val with a raised brow. "That wasn't... We didn't do that, right?" He asked as he glanced down to the light stone he had previously acquired. @Jtit

Valeria vas Ruthern inhaled sharply, the nerves building up within her. She reached into her bag, pulling the stone in which they plucked from the wall. She glanced to the stone and then back to Anthony. "I-..I told you it would disturb it.. I think we did.." The woman said with fearful words.
