The First Masquerade of Rubern
Issued 5th of Horen’s Calling, 1806

In celebration of the finalisation of the Treaty of the Magpie, 1805, and the first step on the long road to lasting peace and neutrality for Our Principality, in the pursuit of progress and academia with our Haelun’orian peers, we are proud to announce the first masquerade of Rubern.

Festivities, including live music from the talented Mister Reginald A. Townsend, dances, drinks and the unveiling of the Principality's recent industrial achievements - as well as a sneak peak into the upcoming Immortal Library - will be held in Castelul Illia, at the Principality’s pinnacle.

Attendees are encouraged to clad themselves in the colours red, black, blue and silver, with masks of animal design.

Special invitations are extended by His Highness to the following parties:

✶Her Excellency Arelyn Iyathir, The Sohaer of Haelun’or, and the Silver Council and company.

✶His and Her Imperial Highnesses, John Charles and Wilhelmina Beatrix, the Duke and Duchess of Helena and company.

Franz curiously read over the invitation that a courier had delivered to him. As he spotted the name of Wilhelmina Beatrix, his lips curled into a faint smile as he recalled her from a previous event in Providence. With that, he eagerly began preparations of crafting a mask.

The Duchess of Helena called out to her sweet sister-in-law, informing her of her upcoming trip to Rubern. Upon

spying the name of the Duke of Schattenburg, she lofted a brow,

eager to reconnect with an old acquaintance.

After some shared words with her sister-in-law, The Duchess of Helena, the Pruvian-born Countess of Aldersburg has some fine silks ordered to Rosebud House, and a meeting with her personal designer and seamster, Charles Tuillier.

“Time to ride into another event wearing more silks then before!” Alyssa Seregon commented with a joyful tone and a small grin while she was getting her hair styled from the back, then a manicure from ladies to her right, left, then they where two in front of her for her left and right foot. When all of this was happening, a little halfing woman came up with a plate, on top of this plate would be a cold glass of apple juice and a straw extending to Alyssa’s mouth so she can drink it, which she did.

An up-and-coming young fashion designer, Madame Caroline Chaucer, was sure to attend the event... Perhaps she could meet some new customers there.

Rahtol Wick quickly began packing for travel, deep within the residency of Rubern, "A bit more time to prepare would've been kind." He grumbled.

After thieving the invitation from the Rosebud House feasting hall, the Pruvian adolescent would scan over the missive, seemingly distressed as she concluded her reading. Alexandrina Frederica seated herself at the dining table, sighing. The luminous, midnight moon beamed through the windows, resting upon her as she contemplated attending such a public event!

The Countess-consort of Pompourelia, Amalie Alimar, was excited to see her brother’s new crib.
