~` Killing of clergymen in Karosgrad 359ES `~

End of Diet of Karosgrad

The voting of those present had been concluded and so the votes of those absent clerics, would be given in time, presenting the official conclusion of the Diet. Episcopus Otho had already witnesed his teacher's betrayal,

as Cardinal Benedict Jorenus voted no confidence in Owyn III. It was not totally unexpected, Otho did warn Alfred the day before, of those that would possibly betray the church. Cardinal Benedict was very eager to have

father Basil ordained, having aproached poor Otho and tried to convince him to hastenly ordain the young man that had interesting political views as Benedict told him. Otho refused, not believing in swift ordinations, his mind

was focused on his dutyThis was a clue in Otho's mind, after he heard Basil's poisonous tongue time and time again through these months.

The leaders of Haense and of the 'Holy' Orenian Empire, returned to the Bassilica after discussing about  the present state of the voting. Even though there were more votes to be anounced in the future by the absentees.

They hastenly showed to everyone in the Bassilica, that the voting did not matter to them. It was nine in favour of Owyn III and eight  in non confidence. Perhaps if they waited more, they would have allowed things

to progress more peacefully and not have their hands bloodied by the blood of clerics and holy sers. They announced that they would have Owyn III removed for they do not recognise him. Otho was enraged by this,

for they clearly do not respect the Diet nor the clerics. He rose from his seat and shouted "THE APOSTATIC LEADERS HAD THIS ALREADY PREDECIDED! SHAME ON THEM!"

The End Drew Near

Soon after the announcement of the leaders, two lines were formed. Depending the side one would be on, he or she would view this differently. For Otho it was the line of the apostates, schismatics and those of the deciever

and opposite the line of the true clerics that understand that even if Owyn's reputation is bad, his ascension to the pontificated was true and thus blessed by the Godani. But does the Godani matter any more?

After the upcomming massacre, from the ashes of the old, indeed something new will rise, but weaker than before. The end of Canonism is aproaching.

Shouting continued, a glass was heard breaking from the right of Otho, did someone get hurt? Some guards tried to arrest the clerics that resisted leaving the house of the Godani by force. Clearly nothing matters any more.

The house of Godani is yet another fighting pit in the eyes of modern humanity. Otho was one of those resisting, refusing to leave the sanctuary of the Godani. So he and many others shouted at the corrupted

and tainted with sin supposed Canonists and disloyal clergy that joined them. Soon all of their blades were drawn and the clash took place.

Final Moments

Otho drew his aurrum blade, the same blade that was used for cleansing the Bassilica from a certain geist. Clearly inexperianced with it and without armor he had no chances. His last words were "GODANI VULT!". A blade in the stomach, another in the back and a last one in his left ribs. The guards had swarmed him like angry bees, stinging him mercilessly. The end had arrived. Otho fell to the ground, bloodied and brokenHis last breath escaped his body and he knew he had fallen for what he believed the right and just cause to be. Will he and the other fallen even recieve a burial? May the Godani rest his poor soul.

From its cradle in the crypts, that loathsome 'geist would grumble as its frown deepened, fraught with anger and sickly malaise as it ruminated on the sundering of sanctity, the likes of which had ne'er before been known. Though it loathed the Pontifficate, and indeed the Holy Knights it sought to command, it, too, bemoaned the senseless loss of Faithful lives that day. And from the beyond, carried on the winds of the Wastes, that horrid spirit shed an errant tear of blackened shadow.

Ser Brandt Barclay signs the lorraine as he hears of the Bishop's death, huffing as he shook his head after the events as he heard of them. "Ein man that went by his words und spoke things as they were. He loved his flock, though it was unable to protect him." grunted the Barclay as he dipped his head, remembering the one time he confessed to the holy man back when he was still a priest, mumbling prayes to Saint Tylos and GOD.

Nicolas clasped his hand on the shoulder of his personal confessor as they were escorted into the Seven Skies together, healed of all wounds and earthly woes. "Well, mein friend, it is about time that the heavens get to experience a mustache like mine, eh?"

Holy Sir Theophilos sighed, remaining isolated in his home. "Murder.. That's what this is, coldblood murder of God's flock within his own House!" he barked to no one in particular, though fell silent after as he clasped his hands in prayer. "Dios save their souls, for they have strayed from your embrace." he uttered, gazing down to the floor, several tears escaping his eyes.

Javier Fransisco-Altamirano upon hearing the news has a feeling of rage and anger boil inside him, "These heretics had the AUDACITY to murder men of GOD in GODs house. This act of aggression and war cannot go unresponded, I will bring justice to you good friend. You have my word." Javier says while signing the loraine.

Manfried Cardinal St. Julia, in the Conclave Hall of the Basilica, had pondered upon those lost but now, upon the good Bishop Otho. He remembered perhaps his last look at the man and felt a deep regret that the visage Otho was met with was one of a frown and furrowed brows. He would mourn all that day but be especially mournful of Bishop Otho who he had scolded at the Diet. He prayed for the safe ascension to the heavens of the soul of Otho and too pray that the man knows of his pride for the Bishop who had so faithfully served the Church in Haense and remained forever steadfast in his convictions, even when faced with the threat of death.
