He finished writing and drabbed his quill into a worn cloth covered in black residue. The cloth had enough ink that one may mistake it for a Rorschach test. He sifted a little sand across the pages he just finished writing on and blew gently from an angle; scattering beads of sand like an incoming tideΒ scatters sediment across the shoreline. He folded the pages gently and closed the book's binding, made of leather, tightly. He placed the book gingerly in a slip made of velvet and cinched the cover against the book with twine. He tucked a card underneath the twine and proceeded out of his home.

To the great historians of Haense,

I pray that my small effort in compiling this work is well-received by your erudite minds. This is one of my finest works to date and I hope it meets your expectations.
